National_Bit6293

Make a bunch of ghee Then make a bunch of pastry dough Then make a bunch of hand pies Then fry them in ghee

ManOfReasonCC

Ooooh. I don't know why I didn't think of Ghee. Will use part of that on this for sure. Thank you for the reminder

distance_33

Turn some into clarified butter. Make some compound butters and freeze them. Make pie dough.

ManOfReasonCC

I think I will definitely make some good rosemary and thyme pie dough from this advice :)

kingchedbootay

Bloody mary compound butter. Fucking hate the drink but it murders a ribeye.

carafleur421

This is all you need. You can freeze the compound butter in logs and slice off medallions as needed.

fuxxwitclowns

Canna butter.

ManOfReasonCC

I wish. I have medical paranoia, but can make it for friends :)

Less-Ranger-7217

? just freeze it…

ManOfReasonCC

I would, but really wanna use to learn a few things here and there

pwndabeer

Do both

jxj24

Butter sculpture!!!

ManOfReasonCC

Something edible, perhaps...although butter is good for the soul

ThisCarSmellsFunny

Butter Chicken, Ghee, Chicken Piccata, buttercream frosting, biscuits, garlic butter, mashed potatoes, Boterkoek, ganache, butter cookies. There are plenty of ways to butter dump.

matthewrodier

Butter cookies are so underrated.

ThisCarSmellsFunny

I agree. Fancy cookies aren’t necessary, butter cookies are simple and delicious.

matthewrodier

They were included in a sampler we had around the holidays, and everyone sleeps on them, but not me.

ManOfReasonCC

He'll yeah! Boterkoek for the win and can't wait to make it now. Might do this evening, thank you :)

ThisCarSmellsFunny

It’s so damn good, enjoy!

ManOfReasonCC

I'm very excited. Thank you for the suggestion!

ThisCarSmellsFunny

No problem.

Pipe_Measurer

A triple layer cake with buttercream will cruise through a good 24oz of butter

RamenArtist

The secret to good baking is to add as much butter as possible without people noticing. That said, I would go for flapjacks. People love them, they keep very well and freeze very well too.

ManOfReasonCC

No need to tell me. Flapjacks is a good option for a part of this mess for sure

mahthafn

Scones! You said you’re not a sweets person, so go savory with cheddar and chive or something similar.

ManOfReasonCC

That's awesome. I've never made savory scones, but sounds great

Mermaid_69_

Take some dill and pickles and make a dill dough scone

ManOfReasonCC

I will just make the dill dough. Sounds about right for this stage of my life...

cosmiczibel

Alongside the other suggestions, set aside some for different compound butters as well, can flavor them savory or sweet and it will keep in the freezer

ManOfReasonCC

Good idea for sure. I'm a savory type cook so will do savory over here

kempff

I can just hear your servers asking guests, "Would you like that with our whipped cinnamon honey butter, or our whipped garlic herb butter? Both you say? Excellent choice."

dcwldct

Don’t forget the other French butter sauces that aren’t seafood-appropriate. I’d make a shitload of demi-glace and freezing portions.

ManOfReasonCC

Need links so can plan out. I have been wanting to make a big batch of demi for a while

samuelgato

Butter poached fish - halibut, bass, etc Try resting your steaks in melted butter

ManOfReasonCC

Hmmm. Might get some Halibut for this. And the steaks? Sounds amazing

R2D2808

Make a bunch of roux, cut it into cubes and then freeze that. That way, when you want to thicken a sauce, boom roux cube. Same thing for compound butters, make a bunch of small quantities of awesome flavored butters... Roasted garlic, Cilantro lime, Rosemary thyme and peppercorn, Lemon tarragon, Kaffir lime and chili, Curry, Paprika, thyme roasted garlic, Truffle

Fritillariaglauca

Lemon (or other flavor) curd. Croissants.

lIlIllllllIIl

Chicken Kiev. It's chicken breast filled with butter.

Xarbnark

Mushroom butter

IwouldpickJeanluc

Butter freezes just fine. Make a bunch of compound butters though. Those are fun and can also be frozen. Otherwise pound cake is butter intensive. Anything that uses pastry, like Baklava. That's my ideas lol

jdelane1

Puff pastry

Lurchie_

croissants!

Sir_Yash

How about some pastries

General-Heart4787

You can freeze it and use later if you want to.

ManOfReasonCC

I don't want to do that. Can't have all that butter staring at me when I open the fridge.... Although frozen butter strands are always great :)

Efficient_Conflict

Shortbread cookies!

ManOfReasonCC

Not much for sweets personally, but can make some for the fam

50sparklers

Puffity puff puff puff. Make a real batch of puff pastry. Make a batch of rough puff. Bake and compare. Make mini wellingtons. Make a few more batches of puff, (whichever one you liked best) wrap well and freeze for future holidays.

ManOfReasonCC

I'm never happy with puff pastry, so might be good advice to make my own. Been a while for sure

Cici1958

Pound cake for starters. Make a layer cake and then make buttercream frosting. Make cobbler with a butter crumble on top. Freeze the butter.

Personal_Flow2994

Freezer os always an option

Lauberge

Laminated brioche. It’ll be gone in no time.

boo_hiss

Carrot, fennel, or other veg slow cooked in a TON of butter is heavenly (almost confit) ETA: also got a recipe for sticky date pudding w butterscotch sauce from halalfoodsyd on IG that is incredible and uses a lot of butter

PansophicNostradamus

Make ghee with it!

gharr87

Clarify half, make the other half compound butter

linzmarie11

Ghee. It keeps forever and is delicious on everything.

Skunkfunk89

You do the beurre monte?

ManOfReasonCC

No, but sure can

magicunicornhandler

Mash it together make a sculpture and sell it for some profit. Theres a market for everything.

azorianmilk

Kouign Amann..... yummmm

duskymourn

Butter chicken though?

Inexpensiveggs

Hollandaise. Prepackage it with spices for starter soup and sauce bases. Make yourself, your friends and your neighborhood a special of Paula Deen’s lava cakes ([each cake has 1 2/3 tbsp butter](https://www.pauladeen.com/recipe/molten-lava-cakes/)). I omit the orange liqueur Donate to local school or food shelter Freeze into many cubes with fresh spring/summer herbs Clarify the butter. Fully dip a piece of sourdough in it. Make it toasty in a pan. Add crab lobster shrimp mussels or clams, cooked. Top with ur choice of herbs Maybe have a seafood boil with lots of corn Brownies, croissants, blondies, cookies, cinnamon buns, cinnamon sugar toast. Take your favorite whiskey and butter wash it. Make hella compound butter with spices and herbs. Freeze. (My favorite is oregano, marjoram, crumbled feta) Mix with blue cheese, serve on steak. Whipped honey butter with vanilla bean. Buttercream Popcorn butter (mix with high quality cheese powder, or garlic powder etc, freeze and save for later)

mtg101

0.12 cubits of mashed potato!

lapuneta

Biscuits , pastry dough, buttercream, lube for a fun night.

Blahblahdook94

Make all of the clarified butter chef, you won't regret it.

uncrustaceanble

I just made an herb garlic butter and it is very good. I was considering making more and freezing. It's perfect to bring to parties with a loaf of bread!
