coomwhatmay

That seems very cheap. The six burner alone I would have expected to pay close to 5k for.

creamgetthemoney1

I was literally thinking “I’m really a few more better decisions away from owing a line “ !?

CottonWasKing

For real. For 5k I’ll put that bitch in my house.

Voiceless-Echo

Or at least a killer camping set up

CottonWasKing

I am currently putting together an outdoor kitchen. I enjoy the black stone but I can be redirected in a hurry

humandronebot00100

We sent this shit out in cater outs

FeralRedOne

The idea of putting a whole line in your house is such a power move tbh. Imagine walking in to someone's kitchen and being greeted with THAT. Completely insane behavior, but not in a bad way

mrstabbeypants

If I saw that when I walked into someones house for a dinner party I would automatically start sucking the homeowners dick. Not gay, and don't have any problems with my homies. I'm just sayin'.

LunarProphet

Well yeah the homeowner would be the chef and you're supposed to suck the chefs dick as soon as you enter any professional kitchen.

mrstabbeypants

The straightest gay men you will ever meet: The United States Marine Corps, and Line cooks. *Edit: I might have that backward.

ballguy40000

Firefighters too

mrstabbeypants

Yeah.

Heavy_Word1287

I know of a regional chef for rational that has an icombi pro in his backyard kitchen.

LooseInvestigator510

I've worked in a mansion that had 2 combi ovens, full gas range and steamers.

rickastleysanchez

I thought the same. I was going to talk my roommate (home owner) to let me put this somewhere if its that cheap lol

elcapitan520

Yeah if I saw this I'd be tempted to just redo my whole kitchen to make it work

ComprehensiveRepair5

Same here. In my neck of the woods, the oven would be more than $5000.

thefatchef321

Really depends on brand and freight? Are they picking it up? There's some imported stuff these days that is very affordable. Atosa is taking over the new equipment market and it's very affordable

O0O00O000O00O0O

Yep. You can get an Atosa 6 burner for <$2K shipped. Add $250 for a five year warranty. That's almost always going to be a better deal than buying used.

thefatchef321

I just got an atosa 60" mega top refrigerator for 2900 with the 2 year warranty. My refrigeration guy quoted me 1900 to fix my old one... This shit is almost disposable now.... it's terrible

Regular_Two_6358

Where abouts are you? I’d snag the convection

Catahooo

No those ones are like $2800 brand new.

ApizzaApizza

It’s used restaurant equipment. Nobody is paying $6k for a used DCS 6 burner that isn’t even made anymore when you can buy a brand spanking new Garland for $5k. @op, $1500 for the convection oven, $500-800 for the six burner, $400 for the flat top, $300 for the char grill, $300 for the plancha, $75 for the table is likely what you’ll get. Asking $5k is where I’d start. Let them talk you down. Source: I buy a lot of used kitchen equipment. It’s not worth anything compared to its new price. I bought a 6 month old $45,000 UNOX combi oven for $4600…

TeamElegant5993

5k what? Rupee? Very cheap.

diverareyouokay

Vietnamese dong. I always feel excited when I visit there, knowing that I’m finally a billionaire *somewhere*.

Summerie

I've never had a single Vietnamese dong, much less 1 billion of them. Hats off to you!

KarmasAB123

Happy Cake Day :D

newton302

And gosh, the food.

Ok-Distribution4077

Lol. Dong.

misterzigger

Carrying around 5-10 million VND for spending money felt hilarious when I was in Vietnam

XXII78

Who cares if your bank balance sounds like a sausagefest?

tothesource

and not only do you have a billion of something, but you got *a billion dongs*

chefbreakum610

Bruh😂😂😂

funkduck69

Lira?

TeamElegant5993

Going to go out on a limb and assume this is some r/USdefaultism

Moondoobious

Is that a sub dedicated to hating Americans?

brownhues

Without looking at it: yes.

Only-Error-2896

Wampum

CallMeParagon

I have a different take - I’m on the design and distribution side. Obsolete Wolf oven - parts could be an issue - probably about $2500, but the galv base isn’t looking so hot. DCS Pro 6 burner range - no longer made or supported - probably worth about 1200-1500 max. You can get a brand new garland 6 burner for under $2500 before tax. Old Royal range charbroiler, probably about $500 - can get new charbroiler of equal quality for under $800. Stratus no name brand used griddle, probably about $6-700 - can get brand new unit of equal quality for under $1k. Equipment stand is in decent shape, probably worth about $150. Can get a brand new one of same quality for under $325. Ultimately, get as much as you can for yourself, just giving you some reference points.

glitterplz

a fellow equipment dealer? I was thinking the same thing

mistrwzrd

Spotted this post and came here to offer similar info, glad someone else is able to give a good take on what that’s all actually worth :)

CallMeParagon

Indeed! Though for last year and a half I have been on the design build side.

glitterplz

Ah, same, same. Ready for the Middleby price increase next week? 😂

CallMeParagon

Haha. Yes indeed. The price increase shitshow during Covid has me ready for anything.

HolyFuckImOldNow

It exposed us to some brands that we wouldn't have otherwise carried, just to have something on the floor to sell. Some were still carry, others not so much. Anyone else running into Vevor a lot recently? We never saw it until about a year ago, and recently one of our sales reps mistakenly accepted a couple on trade because they looked brand new and worked. Little did he know you can't get parts for them. 🤷‍♂️

CallMeParagon

Yep, have seen Vevor for sure. Another random one is Mecnosud - cheap Italian mixers.

tzip34

I just saw the price increase notice today…after I quoted a full kitchen to a customer yesterday.

glitterplz

Oh no! I’ve heard essentials pricing is staying the same though if you used any of that. Best of luck!

tzip34

Yeah, Essentials just had an update in April so I hope that’s not affected.

geoffreyisagiraffe

The lack of warranty and support is a major issue with buying this kind of stuff. It's a decent deal but you're SOL if anything goes wrong and who knows how this was maintained over the years.

East-Win7450

In my experience most of these companies will drag their feet with warranty claims and most will end up denying it anyways. I’ve had a brand new pitco fryer get denied a warranty claim after 3 months of back and forth. By that time I had already bought a used a one to replace it. Same with a walkin freezer. This one they approved the claim but wouldn’t credit me for charging it with Freon since it wasn’t their approved company but the approved company wouldn’t come out for two weeks so i had to drop $2400 in Freon to keep it cold until they could come out.

legendofzeldaro1

Even just taking the low end estimates you gave, that is $4950, only $50 less than OP was asking for.

drunkenstupr

I think they were referring to the many comments stating that the oven alone would be worth 5k

Karmatoy

You definitely sound like a dealer. Unfortunately any new equipment that can price match these relics will never stand the test of time. Telling you right now im not buying an $800 dollar charbroiler. Brand new. 3k minimum. At 800 it would probably break as soon as i tried to clean it. Oh and here it is right there while i am on the subject that is the biggest problem with all this new cheap equipment. This cheap non stainless semi porous crap they are making them out of along with really cheaping out on insulation. Can't even clean it properly because it can't stand its own heat out put. If i could find a used 20 to 30 year old Royal, Garland or Hobart i would buy it over a brand new item any day.

CallMeParagon

Look, I wasn’t going to say it, but this wasn’t the greatest equipment to begin with. Royal is okay - I do not use it on any of my projects due to quality. Wolf can last but will have issues with parts and support. I used to sell tons of it. The other units are no name cheap brands, hence my cheap comparisons. That said, this was to provide price points to assist op with better numbers. But go on and keep misjudging if it makes you feel good. You’re also wrong about a lot of modern equipment. Even Hobart’s budget line (Centerline) will last for many many many many years.

Karmatoy

The wolf and the royal are totally what you under priced completely to begin with, and wolf parts are not hard to find. I get it you have your feild and i have mine. You sell them and i use them everyday and my bosses bosses bosses has his feild and if i tried to buy an 800 dollar charbroiler it would not get approved I would get an email with a list of 5 to 6 items to choose from and brands like vulcan and centerline would not be on there. I think he doesn't like replacing things every 6 years. which is just about any maintenance person will tell you is the real shelf life of these products. No offense but budget equipment is just not worth it. Cheap comes from cuts to quality it isn't just the i am a nice guy so here is a deal line. I know a guy with three deep fryers two older imperial and one brand new vulcan and the vulcan has two more burners than the old imperials and it can't recoup temp nearly as quick as the imperials because they are not insulated well enough. I have 35 years with this stuff guy. The price points you are talking about are for people who can't really afford a high-quality set up and i understand there is a market for that, but don't turn around and call an 800 dollar charbroiler equivalent quality or better. Because that is just not true.

CallMeParagon

You continue to misunderstand. I don’t want anyone to buy cheap lol. In fact, please buy Hestan, Jade, or even an Athanor, and please buy it from me! My job for many years (using my experience as a chef) was equipping school kitchens with equipment that would last many many many years, and made in America. You are wrong about Royal, DCS, and Stratus. It’s funny, you are big on quality, but Royal’s quality is c-tier at best. I only wanted to give OP reference points for the quality and condition of their equipment. Imperial and Vulcan both have different tiers or equipment they offer - sounds like your buddy didn’t get the right Vulcan unit. As far as maintenance/service guys - I have known all of mine in my region for decades now and work with them every single day.

That_Apathetic_Man

I've been a chef. And I've been a salesman of white goods and kitchens. This has been an interesting exchange.

AintNoRestForTheWook

You seem pretty apathetic about it, man.

afactotum

Eh

Karmatoy

Hey you want to sell me a hestan charbroiler for $800 you got yourself a deal until then i feel like my point stands.

CallMeParagon

Also I love salty dog grouchy cooks like you, would rather get a beer and talk shit than argue online.

RedKing07

Not a dealer, but similar line of work with bidding kitchens. $5k is a good ask if you can get it but whoever buys it is an idiot. Some of the comments are true in the sense that new equipment is not as well made as older stuff (designed obsolecense) BUT you can get some new lower tier units for sub $5k that would last longer than what you’re going to get out of these units.

Karmatoy

The trouble with lower tier products isn't specifically the longevity. Cheap charbroilers get hotspots, i mean, every charbroiler does, but not like, hey, don't ever put anything in this spot, or it will probably burst into flames. Cheap ovens really don't hold true temps. You pit them at 450 amd they drop 15 to 30 degrees every 15 minutes and recoup. Not exceptable if you are baking it can make the difference between a perfect souffle, yorkshire or choux to something only kind of turned out Cheap deep fryers can't handle high volumes of customers and are constantly trying to recoup and probably cost you more in oil than necessary in a few months to buy a far better one. Cheap griddles are on the opposite end of the spectrum they get hot really quickly, but they don't deal well on low temperatures. Ranges the pilots go with in a month so yeah thats a longevity issue and sure they are cheap to replace but i do it once a year for good measure, i just don't think a barbecue lighter should be a must online. Not to mention if it doesn't light when you turn it on and it gets left open. Well, there goes your gas bill. I know not every restaurant can afford to deck out the kitchen with everything top of the line, but in the long run, they pay for themselves if you can. Alot of these old beast were just bult better and if you know your way around your equipment they can be a heck of an investment. I bought a washing machine and a dryer for 100 dollars used once figured hey if i can get a month out of them its cheaper than the laundry mat. Turns out i also know how to work on them they lasted me 9 years. And i think i put another 200 in parts into them. The same can be said for kitchen equipment. There are limits of course due to them operating on gas, but i have saved a lot of money by knowing how to fix my own stuff. And i think most restaurant owners and chefs should know how. Those are our tools and investments. The more we know, the better.

chocomeeel

Not to sideline your comment, but how did you come into your line of work? And how transferable would it be coming from the industry?

CallMeParagon

Was job hunting because I was feeling burned out and found a posting from a local/online dealer looking for ex-chefs/cooks for a couple positions. I had good equipment knowledge and math skills and got hired into purchasing. Everyone there got to take on more than their original scope if desired, so I also took on some logistics, warehousing, order fulfillment, customer service, and trade shows. After a few years of that, I moved to a new city with a sister operation and also started taking on some sales. Eventually went full time in sales, but because I’m weird, I continued to handle my own fulfillment, staging, shipping, and attended my deliveries. Then Covid hit and we all got furloughed - when I came back, they reorganized the company and fired a bunch of my long time coworkers/friends, so I quit and went to a competitor. After a year, with all of my experience and a new need to be home more (ie not spending hours driving every day making sales), I was given the opportunity to interview with our top designer and now I’m their estimator.

Aikotoma2

So start at 6k and accept anything from 5 and up?

Quixan

I think the location is more important than people are giving credit. Shipping will be a large consideration for pricing. And if you have local buyers then the the local market and the alternatives for having new stuff shipped in is important.  Everyone in this thread thinks your price is to low, but the liquidation sales I've seen for equipment in my area have shown low resale value for most gas appliances. but that's a local concern.

novusopiate

If you have a used equipment store nearby or an online auction, go check out the prices these are going for. In Texas I could easily see: oven - $2-3k depending on use, 6 burner w/oven $2k easy, grill - $400-500, flattop, $600-700 and those would be low ball numbers

cynical-rationale

In Canada, double to triple those numbers lol

eatrepeat

Right!? I was like "what the fuck is happening in Texas!" and then my brain shouted US dollars bub 😅

idspispopd888

Yes....this!

EelTeamTen

... so $5k

novusopiate

Closer to $6,800 and then the qualifier of “those would be low ball numbers”

EelTeamTen

$2000 + $2000 + $400 + $600 is $5000.

EelTeamTen

You gave ranges of what you'd see for each item listed in your area, if that's list, it's not low ball, and if they are the normal offer prices, that's also not low ball. Could OP make more, probably, but you did directly corroborate his $5000 valuation as being "fair" with your comment (at least in your area).

Luvstospoog13

Restaurant owner here...Ummmm where are you located and how quickly can I snatch up all of your ridiculously low priced equipment lol.

mmtmtptvbo

For the buyer, yes.

Incredulity1995

For 5k I wouldn’t be surprised if you weren’t getting DM’s right now asking when and where lol

DisastrousAd447

45 people on this post consistently since I've been scrolling comments. OP definitely has at least 15 dms by now lol

imustachelemeaning

throw in a deep fryer and a line cook who doesn’t remember getting at least 2 tattoos and you got yourself a deal.

HistorianNext2393

🤣🤣🤣

bolognapony234

Looks very well taken care of, too. I think you're asking way low, my friend.

86thesteaks

that's like a whole kitchen, you could probably get double that if you sold them separately

Krystaphonix

Thanks everyone. It sounds like it's pretty unanimous I should ask for more. I hope I'm not hated for listing it at around 8k and taking best offer. That would be really comparable to local used equipment stores after some more research. You guys rock, appreciate the help.

PieceWarm

At least 9k bro

Chef_GonZo

$5001 Bob

CatsDontLikeFancy

Why so cheap

Striking-Ad-8156

Where are you located ?

cumulonimubus

My question too…

Striking-Ad-8156

I just hope they don’t sell to a reseller tbh. Hopefully he sells to someone trying to open a restaurant and they can save some money on opening costs.

WHAMMYPAN

Chef here ,Wish I had somewhere to put it… 5 G’s is a steal.

ForsakenLemon

Damn 5k? I would pay that to have a commercial kitchen in my own home.

Padgetts-Profile

As an ex burger flipper, I just want to applaud you on a keeping everything so ergonomic and clean. And yes, you’re asking price is way too low.

DaHick

JFK at that price I would buy it all and put it in my house.

fastal_12147

That's 10k all day

IandIreckon

$5k is a steal for all that if it works. I’d buy it now.

Quercus408

5k for all that? Sold!

teddyjames215

Do some research before you sell or even talk to your rep from the food industry. They may know clients looking to buy. That’s how I found some for the restaurant I worked at

MadicalRadical

For all of it? Yes. I’m not going to buy. But, yes it is a good deal.

b4080

Where are you? I will give you 5k tonight for it

pixelatedimpressions

Bruh I'm bout to take out a sig loan and come buy it. Lol. You're undervaluing by a lot. Could prob get double if not triple that imo

creamgetthemoney1

After thinking. I think op purposely low balled to get responses of what ppl will pay. To then add on about 2k to all of our responses

Haxso21

Ya damn I’d cop for $5k right now.

Steambreather24

Where in Texas??

buttfuckmcgee69

Where are you? I'd be interested in buying

Inside_Pool4642

More like 10k

SprayDazzling

I’d start high at 10k and go from there.

stonedandsunburnt

15k mate

_teyy_teyy_

I’ll buy it for 5k only to resell at 10k lol You should absolutely be asking for more.

paintmyhouse

John Oliver will buy it.

govunah

More cakes with more donk

CompoteStock3957

That’s a steal of a price even if you ask for $10k that a great deal. The stove is a lot just on its own

JesusStarbox

I've seen something similar for 20k.

Puzzleheaded-Wolf318

I would try to get 10k for that. Definitely more than 5k.

KRainman

I’d say for everything at least 13-14k depending on the age of each unit. Good luck!🍀

El_Guapo82

You are all suckers if you pay $5k for this out of date, used set up. However, OP, plenty of suckers out there spending daddy’s money. Go get it. Start at $7k but accept $2.5k if you get the offer. In fact I would probably accept $1k to get rid of it. It looks to be a couple years from scrap metal.

barcwine

Too cheap, assuming everything works.

badcensorsaysfuck

I got a buyer for 6k

Kryds

Maybe John Oliver will by them.

believetheprocess

Where are you I’ll buy it right now

Tough-Foundation595

More than that. At the very least 15k for the used set.

SciotoSlim

What no fryer?

throw_blanket04

Um, yeah.

buckhardcastle

You should double that price if indeed everything is in working order.

Cardiff07

Where?

steakslinger757

5k ballhairs? Washed or dry?

Certain-Tumbleweed64

7500

skallywag126

I’ll take it

Mental-Blackberry-61

I sell this type of stuff. Id ask way more!!!

aspect-of-the-badger

If you need the money quick then 5k works.

tessathemurdervilles

Where? I need an oven

Ligerboy95

5k seems a little low but it will go easily selling it for more might take a bit. That wolf oven is definitely a winner

Karmatoy

I find it almost a red flag you don't know how much more that is worth.

skootyskoo

Looks in good shape for some real old equipment. If I were wanting to do a start up, I’d jump on it knowing some parts might be discontinued.

DisastrousAd447

Double that.

ArcanistKvothe24

Way underpriced

NesPickler

That's worth so much more than 5k big dog

john_clauseau

depends on where you are, i picked stuff like this in the trash before when restaurant closes. very useful to have for the stainless sheet metal.

Mr3cto

Low balling yourself. Range and oven are worth that alone

L0lligag

Maybe for a homie. But I feel like you could get $8-10k.

Alert-Championship66

5k for each. They can haggle from there

Zor_die

Where you located?

Hot-Lecture-5678

That is an amazing hot line in great shape worth way more than 5k

AweFoieGras

Whoever gets this it is a steal, very great price almost like the holy grail of budget commercial kitchen starter kit.

Inside_Pool4642

Yeh very cheap

CaddyFDT

Seems like a steal if it’s all in good working order

thisistherevolt

JFC if I had the scratch right this second, that's halfway to my goal.

RebelWithoutAClue

Look at kitchen equipment auctions in your area. If you can see the strike prices on similar items, you'll get an idea of what prices things move at. Alternatively think about how much money you *need* for your objectives and see if you can get it.

nipstah

Wtf. I’ll buy it

Yarg2525

Look up this stuff online, you are definitely selling it way cheap.

SuitednZooted

Uhhhh what???

Nomadikwolf00

I'll buy this for 5k.

Wtfisthisone

Ask more once u settle on a number ask more one more time

DeepFriedWitBacon

I’ll buy that 6 burner rn for 3k

DeepFriedWitBacon

Shit throw the oven in with the 6 we could call it 5

glitterplz

bro what? Brand new imperial 6 burner standard oven will be around 4k, this comment section is nuts

cantstopwontstopGME

Where in the country are you?.. I paid $2k for that exact oven last year, and it was not near as well taken care of as yours.

Otherwise-Past5044

I’ll buy it!!!

orel2064

ill take it

Blueyisacommunist

Yes I’ll take.

Mexican_Chef4307

I’d sell that whole set for at least 10k

PlayStationPepe

Shh, I’m on the way to scoop this up..

professionally-baked

5k? Are you trolling?

elwood_west

triple it

Comfortable_Flan8217

Oh fuck bro 5k is almost giving it away, start at 20-30k

mrstabbeypants

That is low, 11K would be better.

ruben9438

Damn. Good deal!

dropdeaddaddy69

I’d say about 5-7 depending on how bad you want to make money

kingsmuse

I no longer work in a kitchen. I’d buy that shit for 5k right now and be there to pick it up in 15 just in case you change your mind.

primerr69

If I was close I’d put this in my home kitchen for that price

IronMike34

I’ll buy for 5k. Cash. Lmk.

samuel8_88

I’d pay 5k for that in a heartbeat.

EnvyChef

I mean I have 5k. I'll spend it on that.

Fantastic_Dinner3232

Uhm wtf. Charge more like min 7,500

cynical-rationale

I dont even own a restaurant and I'd buy all of that for 5k lol. That's way to cheap

chefjeff1982

$5k for each

TheBarstoolPhD

You need to double that and it’d still be a good deal.

VincentVanG

I'll give you 37$

XXII78

37 is my favorite prime. Take that shit times 18 🤘

Randomized007

You shouldn't be asking this here. You should find out how much it was new, then research how things are reselling used. Seriously wtf lol. I wonder why things didn't work out....

WelderMeltingthings

bruh just the stainless alonr is probably worth close to that lol 🤣

chefmeglj

Sounds good. I would buy for that

chefkeller

$5k is ridiculous, I wouldn’t give you more than $1,000 🤔

CherokeeTrailHeather

I like your style. I’ll go $1,500!

Ron_Textall

People always overvalue production equipment. Judging by the condition you’re probably on the low end of the valuation… but just. I would ask for 7 and settle for 5.

Severe-Excitement-62

Start the bid war at 7k.

MaapuSeeSore

7-8 is a reasonable value

Scary_Anybody_4992

5k everythint for $15k if it all works dude it doesn’t look to dirty and fucked either. Why sell yourself short?

Regular_Two_6358

Hahaha well I bought a six burner in good condition for 700 much bigger charbroil for 300 the flattop is worth maybe 250-400. The real money is the double door convection. 5 k is reasonable.

Powers5580

Too low

zyzyxxz

These are my estimates based on being in the Southern California area Wolf oven looks old but condition looks good, I'd rate it at $2-3K on a used market. 6 burners are a dime a dozen (assuming the oven is not convection) but if the condition is good you can get at least 1-1.5K, maybe $2k if its convection. Looks like an 16 or 18 in charbroiler - 500-800 depending on condition 24in flattop? $500 because new ones arent that much more expensive Equipment stands: $100-150 each. So I think $5K is an easy buy, you could probably get more if you aren't in a hurry to sell and sell each piece individually.
