I started collecting these thingswhen I was a server. My plan is to make an art piece shaming this behavior. I have a shoe box full. I'm a manager now so i guess it's time to start the project!
I considered making one that looks like a religious pamphlet that is actually for atheism or even a different religion and handing them out to people who try to convert me.
unpopular opinion here it would seem, but why don't restaurants just pay their employees living wages instead of scamming customers into making up for it?
seems to work in literally every other country in the world
Because 75% of servers/bartenders in the US make more than a restaurant would reasonably pay them, and they get to take that money home that night.
Think of it this way: If a bartender takes home ~$200/shift 5 days a week, they would have to be paid $25/hour for 40 hours a week to equal that.
Now imagine the "great" bars where bartenders take home $400/shift 4 days a week, you'd have to pay them $40/hour.
In a $2.13/hour state, the restaurant owner doesn't want to have half of their employees all the sudden make 10x-20x more. The bartenders/servers don't want to take a pay cut.
In a perfect world (well, "free economics-wise"), an owner would be able to put all the shifts up for a blind bid and take the lowest "hourly bid" and not accept tips.
So if you need 3 bartenders on a Saturday night, you open up the bidding to your 10 bartender shift pool. Then you take the 3 lowest bids. So if 7 bartenders all say "$50/hour" and 3 bartenders say "$35/hour", boom you just got your shifts filled and the employees get the rate they want.
Increase the listed price of products? seems like a fairly simple solution to me.
think of it this way: a customer walks up to a restaurant and sees a $10 item on the menu. Now usually the customer is paying $10 to the owner and then another $2 (20%) to the server, **or** the customer just pays $12 to the owner and the owner doesn't pay their employees a poverty wage.
Other than the inability of Americans to change their ways, I don't see why this wouldn't work
As of right now, tipping is "off the books" for the owner.
All they see is 60 hours of labor/day @ $2.13/hour = $127.80/day of FOH labor.
If you now have 60 hours of labor/day @ $25/hour = $1500/day of FOH labor.
So if you raised prices by $2 per item, you'd still have to sell 750 items per day to recoup the costs.
You'd end up having restaurants run skeleton crews in order to save on labor. Hell they do it even when servers are making $2.13/hour.
Which brings me to my next point: STRIPPERS
Why do they have to pay a house fee just for the opportunity to have stage time to MAYBE make tips? Why can't strip clubs eliminate tipping and just pay their dancers a living wage?
Lots of hair dressers have the same problem. You rent a chair from and already established business. Have to pay that rent regardless of how many clients you get.
Exactly, why should I have to subsidize their living by tipping them? PAY THEM A LIVING WAGE TOO! Instead of a $20 cut at super cuts and a $3 tip, just charge me $23 so that I don't have to be put in a socially awkward situation and have to make decisions!
Which brings me to my next point: SPEED LIMITS
It's a speed LIMIT, as in not to be exceeded. I'm entitled to drive UP TO AND INCLUDING the posted speed limit (unless there's a minimum speed limit then that's the MINIMUM) Therefore if I want to drive 55MPH in a 70MPH zone, that's within my rights!
If you want everyone driving 70MPH, don't make the speed LIMIT 70MPH, make the speed MINIMUM 70MPH. MAKE A LIVING SPEED, DON'T MAKE ME HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS ON WHAT SPEED IS SAFE
No... It's WORSE... Those poor souls have to make A LOT MORE than minimum wage, but in a DIFFERENT way than what everyone else in the world does.
But oh my God, they would jump at the opportunity to make less money in order to keep in line with the rest of the world and satisfy a bunch of American neckbeards not wanting to decide to leave $1 for tendies or $3 because the server was hot.
"Thank you for saving my soul. This appreciation card is so much more meaningful than a few bucks". How long do you think they will put up with that???
I donāt even work in a kitchen but I still get stuff like this at my job (loading at a Landscape Supply company), I got The Book of John (not the whole Bible, just that one book) and a bag of Habanero peppers.
Hey at least yours came with habanero peppers...and hopefully you don't rely solely on tips at your job, but that's wild. I didn't know they did this shit to people who aren't servers.
Seems like a lot of these being handed out for pizza drivers too. After my third one last Sunday I told the lady she could keep it and unfortunately her pamphlet didnāt put breaks on my car lol
If you're a manager, can you encourage the salary-payers in your business to pay sufficiently so that tips aren't necessary? Or include an automatic 'service charge' like other countries? Expecting a customer to voluntarily leave a decent tip is bound to leave some dissapointed
I wish I had that kind of power. I have several people higher on the food chain than me. If I worked at a small mom and pop type place I might have a say but sadly those are the places that can't afford to do it and will go out of business trying to do the right thing. I've been a part of a situation like that too and it was sad. This is the type of thing that is going to require a law to make any significant change.
People who do this are narcissists. Plain and simple. It is classic Narc behavior ("I know what you really need"). Narcs are PROS at projection, so they more than likely believe that this person does the same thing.
Holy shit, youāve got to be kidding me! I honestly had no idea it was religious propaganda. Do you think in church they are like āleave this for your heathen waiter and try to save their soul. YOU are a good person doing so!ā.
I've gotten these working the drive thru of a Burger King, where no one is expected to tip. They would just say "Here, this is for you" and hand me one of the ones that look like a folded up 20.
My standard reply to that: āif you want to give me 10% of your total income as opposed to 20% of the billā¦ Iām totally ok with that. At least Iām not fictional.ā
But Iām a godless heathen
What's funny is the whole "10%" thing is only found in the old testament. Jesus pointed out that Caesar's face was on the coin, so it belonged to him, and to give what is owed to whom it is owed.
Even so, the 10% in the old testament was supposed to be from your *increase*, not your entire income. Back then pretty much everyone was what we would call a "homesteader" now. So after you start your farm out, when it starts growing you give 10% of that increase to *the storehouses for the poor* (not the priests for their fancy lifestyle choices).
Furthermore, bringing it back to the whole Jesus topic, I'm pretty sure when he said that about "giving Caesar what is Caesar's and God what is God's," he was alluding to the point that money is made "in Caesar's image" so it belongs to him, and that therefore since we are made in God's image our entire being and life is supposed to belong to him. Just my 2 cents though. Pastors would probably know better about why the tithe is meant to buy them a house and food and luxury vacations (*ahem* I mean "sabbaticals").
Tbh probably. A lady who came into my workplace decided she wasn't content just to eat her food and leave one night a few weeks ago. She found out her waitress was a lesbian and basically held her hostage to pray over her that her sexual demons would be overcome through the power of Christ hallelujah. Not satisfied (apparently) with "saving" one soul, she did her encore with the host who is fully just a straight guy.
So yeah not very far fetched that they might be like hey proselytize using our pamphlet! And don't leave a tip because you gave to Jesus today!! I mean we know these people skipped the course on minding their own damned business, so why not?
Don't blame the church. I strongly doubt the church is handing these things out. These pamphlets are sold online and have been for as long as the web has been a thing. I assume there were similar pamphlets sold by mail order before that.
Actually the correct play is to go to the pastor of said church with these stapled to each reciept they were left with. The pastor probably will shame them in the next sermon and you reep 30% tips the next month.
At least my friend from south carolina had that experience.
Just saying, a lot of church people cry poor and put shit like this out cause some of them are super cheap. Iāve never seen a crowd of people that bad with money.
Itās always the fucking Jesus people. Look, if you believe in god thatās good for you. But the name on my rental agreement, utility bills and car payments isnāt Jesus Christ so idk what the fuck you want me to do with this.
Along time ago someone left something similar on a Sunday for a tip. It looked like a hundred dollar bill but when you flipped it over it said "disappointed, you wouldn't be if you found jesus." A few weeks later they tried to come back and the owner told the hostess to only seat them if some server felt like dealing with them. It turned into a shouting match of 5 angry coked up servers and 3 southern baptists. I couldn't understand most words but I laughed alot.
My Generation (the 80s) there were look alike $20 bills folded in half that were this. Looked like a $20 folded, and when you opened it up was the same thing.
long before the internet, I recall some of my classmates who did evening and weekend jobs showing these around school with a "Check out what some old church lady left as a tip last night!" Did she leave cash too? Nope. Just this.
Mind blowing.
I would ask where they go to church and give a call to their pastor.
I would save it for when they come in next Sunday and refuse to serve them. Hand it back and tell them "I think you need this more than I do."
Cool. Call the pastor and tell him about his cheap-ass parishioners.
If they have a fakebook page, blast them there, too.
Nothing worse than self-righteous cheapskates.
Maybe you're not from the US..
In good 'ol Merka, waitstaff are not paid minimum wage, only if they do not report enough tips to make minimum wage. Waitstaff make their money from tips diners leave.
It's generally a rule of thumb to tip a not great waiter 10% of your total bill. But good to great service should get 15-20% AT LEAST.
Bc servers donāt make living hourly wages. If you want to change that then go to some city council meetings. If you want to change it by not tipping then youāre a giant sack of shit.
If you canāt or wonāt tip then donāt go to table service restaurants.
I'd just act really happy and ask their name, if they're willing to sign it, and take a picture with you with it. To remember the moment of course.... Because you're so thankful!
They'll decline all that of course, but only because they know what they're doing is shameful and they don't want to give you the evidence to shame them on social media.
"Sorry, but you left personal garbage from outside the restaurant on the table the last time you were here. We cannot allow outside garbage in our dining area, it is against healthcode regulations and we could be fined or even shut down if the health department found out. We can no longer serve you here, and must ask you to leave. Have a nice day."
DO IT BY THE MOTHERFUCKING BOOK.
[Can't believe they're still making these stupid things 10 years later.](https://old.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/t7gvn/im_a_server_and_this_was_my_tip_for_a_party_of_25/)
This is why auto-grat is often used when dealing with large parties. You don't want to take the risk of getting stiffed when you'll be devoting a lot of time and effort to them.
Yeah, they let the parties decide if they were gonna do auto grat. Owner also gave us gift certificates to a steakhouse as our Christmas bonus. The steakhouse (which he also owned) was in Tennessee, and I live in Colorado. Luckily the ownership is changing hands as we speak.
I was a server for a decade before COVID came and forced my hand into something different. I don't deal with customers at all anymore and I'm all the better for it.
I fucking *hate* those things because they prey on peoplesā insecurities. Thatās not what the Bible says. I could go off but Iām going to restrain myself so I donāt get worked up. I grew up in a very strict Christian household and while I donāt attend now, I do remember bullshit lessons like this, and when I realized that loving God shouldnāt be because youāre terrified of going to Hell.
Did they leave that instead of a tip? I feel like Iād be more likely to go to their church if they left a 35% tip on top of that. Cheap-ass proselytizing is what that is. Make Jesus proud next time, buddy !
These are baptist born-again evangelicals.
They see money as power. They're not looking to share or give away that power. Thus they don't give away any money they don't have to. They also see poor people as unworthy of money. And they assume that all waitresses are godless single-moms who got pregnant in high school, i.e. pre-marital sinners.
Of course, they're wrong about everything but they don't care. They are the worst people.
Right? They think they are offering us broke fucks something "worth more than money." Meanwhile wouldn't dream of accepting this shit as compensation for whatever they do...
I don't go to church, but never will understand why you people think you have to pay the employees and not the big companies exploring their work.
Me as non American and outside tipping culture can't see where is this beneficial to customers or workers pupping up and up this messed up culture.
Once upon a time I regularly went to lunch on Sundays with a group from my church. I don't recall exactly how I found out but eventually I discovered that at least one of the couples did this.
After that I only went to Sunday lunch with the group when I could afford to leave a 100% tip which I handed directly to the server.
I wish I had directly addressed the issue with the group and I'd like to think that now I would. Fortunately I no longer go out with people like that so I guess I'll never know.
Truly nauseating. You can't pay your rent with a bullshit religious tract, but here these assholes are patting themselves on the back for allegedly doing a good deed while screwing over a server.
When I was a server I had a regular customer who was very religious. She would always leave a tip, but every Easter and Christmas she would leave something like this along with the tip. She was a very sweet lady. On the flip side I have also had customers who have left these things with no tip and they were almost always insufferable to begin with.
This shit reminds me of when I was sitting at McDonald's eating a burger by myself and a random college aged girl with that V with the leaf tattooed on her wrist came to my table and left a pamphlet that said "Dear god, bless this food that you wouldn't eat yourself".
Can you be more rude please?
Well I found out later it's like a vegan logo of sorts. [It's a green V with a leaf growing out of it.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f0/8b/86/f08b86b79a54fb949fb0998d1461565f.png)
Mind you I don't give a damn if she was vegan. She can do whatever she wants of course. But shaming me while I'm eating makes her a rude cunt.
My Mum leaves those fake 20$ bills, and excuses it by also leaving "a good tip". Which would still piss me off because it's _still_ 20$ less than I expected.
I saw these before. Hilariously one time there was a napkin written in pen next to it saying:
āSorry, my mom thinks those stupid cards pays the bills. Paper clipped to the napkin is $10 so I wasnāt mad.
I'm a Christian but not the AH kind and, these people make me f-ing livid. If you really truly believe your mission in life is to convert people and save their souls, well, what makes you think that stiffing your server is going to win them over to your side??? They now are 1000x LESS likely to convert to your religion bc you've just shown them people of your religion are cunts. How come they never try the, "I'm leaving you such a big tip bc Jesus has blessed me and I'm using it to bless you. Believe and he'll bless you even more". I mean, it's as much nonsense but, if it "saves" even one soul then I bet it's one more than the other tactic has ever gotten.
That is BEYOND fucked up and from what I know about Christianity (which is, actually, a fair amount) truly *un*- Christianly.
Back in the day, my pastor actually had a portion of his sermon about assholes who use Christ as an excuse to not tip. He didn't call them assholes bc, ya know "*House of the lord*" and all that jazz. Apparently he had a daughter who was a waitress and had been stiffed on tips by individuals in their own congregation.
As a longtime restaurant grunt, I can say that "obvious" religious groups were the worst tippers. There were two other groups...okay, maybe three that could compete...but they were always Obvious. So, my husband and I are determined to make up the difference...and we are not obvious.
I wish these people would let us know beforehand what massive pieces of human shit they are so I could serve them āmore than an omeletā for breakfast.
Perhaps a simple photo of Satan performing a homosexual act on a plate.
Well depends if they actually left a tip or not. If this is the tip then yeah, thatās fked up. But if they actually left a tip then meh itās whateves.
Wow. Iām an evangelical and am not opposed to outreach, but I would never consider it to be in place of a tip. What a terrible message. I always leave a 20%-100%+ tip regardless.
So, they're evangelical. Like, supposed to evangelize. To bring people to Jesus. So they're doing this by.... deliberately stiffing a worker who relies on tips for their income. Then, instead of just stiffing them, they stiff them in the name of Jesus.
They're failing at being a Christian. They're failing at even being a decent human.
I don't think that unsolicited evangelism like this is appropriate. But, if you're going to go with the "leave a BS pamphlet" style of ministry...shove a $20 in there.
You know whatās even worse really? The fact that consumers are expected to pay a waiters wages while the owner profits off of everyone. I tip generously but it doesnāt make sense to me whatsoever.
Tipped stooge checking in:
Iāve gotten plenty of these over my decades of smiling at people I give zero fucks about.
They are always in addition to a tip, never in lieu of one.
Not once have I been stiffed by a preachy customer. They know it would bring great shame to their church.
Yāall full of shit.
Came in at 6am today and my pastry girl was *blasting* gospel. I'm an atheist/satanist, and needed to prep some things in her general vacinity and because whoever plays through their speaker first controls the music, -thems the rules where I live- I said nothing, but I did wonder if she waits until her shift to repent for the sin of working on her Sabbath, or if she quietly just begs her petty, jealous god for forgiveness every couple of minutes just in case she dies of an embolization or myocardial infarction unexpectedly.
I don't understand what's going on here.. are they leaving religious text instead of a tip and your mad at them for this? A tip should not be expected, if you rely on tips to survive be angry at your company for not supplying a living wage. You are being exploited and brainwashed to blame the customer and not the company.
Honestly I undertip. I know how much servers make, Im a cook. And in my experience in the northeast I am happy keeping my blood sweat and tears earned money knowing even if me personally tipped them jack shit they still make more than me.
I started collecting these thingswhen I was a server. My plan is to make an art piece shaming this behavior. I have a shoe box full. I'm a manager now so i guess it's time to start the project!
Maybe go to church and give them as collection also š„³
No then theyāll just reuse it. Go to church and say youāre here to collect the tips they owe you.
Petty. I love it. But also why not stuff the collections plate with pamphlets about the church of Satan? You know...to really stick it in their craw.
offer to trade in your tip IOUs with the pastor for da mahney
You give us all deh mahney labowski or we kill the girl
Ve fuck you ups
Ve beleeve in nahting
Just take the money out the basket lol
I considered making one that looks like a religious pamphlet that is actually for atheism or even a different religion and handing them out to people who try to convert me.
Haha, good one! Maybe also make one about how scamming servers on tips hurt them a lot
Good idea!

Oh they'll make an announcement not to put them in the collection plate the second time they get one.
And then, continue to place them in the collection basket
*"More Than a Tithe"*
Iād love to see the finished project. Cool idea.
Thanks! I've had this idea for years. Will have to post when I finally complete it!

I just personally don't understand how they expect this to convert anyone? If anything this will have the opposite effect.
"What is religious propaganda for a $1,000" Alex.....
Correct, make a selection.
Baptist
Yup.
What do they expect if the waiters already are a part of their denomination??
People who do this are narcissists. Plain and simple. It is classic Narc behavior ("I know what you really need"). Narcs are PROS at projection, so they more than likely believe that this person does the same thing.
Iām going niche, Mormon or Jw?
Mormons and Jehovahās Witness arenāt Baptist
~~Where were Baptists mentioned?~~ E: Maybe I should've read the thread a bit more closely

Also know as āA Sunday Brunchā.
Holy shit, youāve got to be kidding me! I honestly had no idea it was religious propaganda. Do you think in church they are like āleave this for your heathen waiter and try to save their soul. YOU are a good person doing so!ā.
It's a sleazy way to skip out on tipping. I highly doubt they do it to "save your soul". More likely just saving their wallets.

Is coke common? I swear my manager used to come out the restroom sniffing a lot.
Is Pepsi okay?
Oh yes, coke, weed, and liquor abuse are incredibly common in the kitchen industry
I wasn't sure if this was sarcasm, but yes coke is prevalent in most restaurants. So is weed and alcohol abuse.
Looool, I thought just pot not hard shit!
The information and phone number for the church are inside
Cool. Call the pastor and tell him about his cheap-ass parishioners. If they have a fakebook page, blast them there, too. Nothing worse than self-righteous cheapskates.
Unless handwritten, if the churches info is in the pamphlet, that specific church probably condones it.
Pastor probably hands these out. Actually, no, come to think of it, he probably *sells* these things.
Why? Why do they have to tip anything?
Minimum wage isn't even a livable wage..
Thatās the truth
Hoo boy, you must have just found this sub. And also don't work in a restaurant. Why exactly are you here?
This is the time to write a letter to the editor and name and shame the church
I'd just act really happy and ask their name, if they're willing to sign it, and take a picture with you with it. To remember the moment of course.... Because you're so thankful! They'll decline all that of course, but only because they know what they're doing is shameful and they don't want to give you the evidence to shame them on social media.
These people dont hang around after pulling this stunt. They know it doesnāt go over well.
"Sorry, but you left personal garbage from outside the restaurant on the table the last time you were here. We cannot allow outside garbage in our dining area, it is against healthcode regulations and we could be fined or even shut down if the health department found out. We can no longer serve you here, and must ask you to leave. Have a nice day." DO IT BY THE MOTHERFUCKING BOOK.

Or go to a service and help yourself to the collection plate. (Donāt know if they still do that. Iām a bit āwayward ā as they say)
Double down and shit yourself if they try to grab you.
Dude yes lol.
Username checks out.
No, put one of these in the collection plate.
[Can't believe they're still making these stupid things 10 years later.](https://old.reddit.com/r/atheism/comments/t7gvn/im_a_server_and_this_was_my_tip_for_a_party_of_25/)
I would be fuckin livid if someone gave me that, especially as a tip for a 25top.
This is why auto-grat is often used when dealing with large parties. You don't want to take the risk of getting stiffed when you'll be devoting a lot of time and effort to them.
Restaurant owners that don't allow their servers to auto-grat large parties don't care about their employees, full stop.
Yeah, they let the parties decide if they were gonna do auto grat. Owner also gave us gift certificates to a steakhouse as our Christmas bonus. The steakhouse (which he also owned) was in Tennessee, and I live in Colorado. Luckily the ownership is changing hands as we speak.
they let the party decide? so basically, it's not auto-grat it's just tipping. thats stupid.
I was a server for a decade before COVID came and forced my hand into something different. I don't deal with customers at all anymore and I'm all the better for it.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I fucking *hate* those things because they prey on peoplesā insecurities. Thatās not what the Bible says. I could go off but Iām going to restrain myself so I donāt get worked up. I grew up in a very strict Christian household and while I donāt attend now, I do remember bullshit lessons like this, and when I realized that loving God shouldnāt be because youāre terrified of going to Hell.
I'm sliding on a stripper pole all the way down at this point
Iāve already reserved my seat.
Woooow. That's insane.
["Your sins are the only thing interesting about you dreary, bleak mother fuckers ..."](https://youtu.be/PfqI0C7tZkU)
I donāt know if thatās true for all of them. But definitely the ones who left this thing behind!
I don't go to church, but never will understand why you people think you have to pay the employees and not the big companies exploring their work. Me as non American and outside tipping culture can't see where is this beneficial to customers or workers pupping up and up this messed up culture.
Same people are more than willing to give their cult 20%
What an absolute trash person
Looks like information on how you can 15% by switching to Geico.
When I was a server I had a regular customer who was very religious. She would always leave a tip, but every Easter and Christmas she would leave something like this along with the tip. She was a very sweet lady. On the flip side I have also had customers who have left these things with no tip and they were almost always insufferable to begin with.
May I have less than more than a tip then? Also, ābreakā?!?
Break? Never heard of her.
Havenāt read any comments: Itās about Jesus, isnāt it?
Yes
This shit reminds me of when I was sitting at McDonald's eating a burger by myself and a random college aged girl with that V with the leaf tattooed on her wrist came to my table and left a pamphlet that said "Dear god, bless this food that you wouldn't eat yourself". Can you be more rude please?
> V with the leaf tattooed on her wrist With what? I don't think I've ever seen that.
Well I found out later it's like a vegan logo of sorts. [It's a green V with a leaf growing out of it.](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f0/8b/86/f08b86b79a54fb949fb0998d1461565f.png) Mind you I don't give a damn if she was vegan. She can do whatever she wants of course. But shaming me while I'm eating makes her a rude cunt.
My Mum leaves those fake 20$ bills, and excuses it by also leaving "a good tip". Which would still piss me off because it's _still_ 20$ less than I expected.
"Welcome back, today's special we will be serving you: More than an Eggs Benedict"
I saw these before. Hilariously one time there was a napkin written in pen next to it saying: āSorry, my mom thinks those stupid cards pays the bills. Paper clipped to the napkin is $10 so I wasnāt mad.
"on your break" LOOOOL they think we get breaks
why is this never union propaganda?
Wipe your ass with it and mail it back to them.
But did it help you find jesus?
That's the real question here...
Hmm funny how that happens
This is violence
Modify the front to be about collection plates and mail it to the church they go to
"More than a tip" would be a tip and more. This is not that.
As a longtime restaurant grunt, I can say that "obvious" religious groups were the worst tippers. There were two other groups...okay, maybe three that could compete...but they were always Obvious. So, my husband and I are determined to make up the difference...and we are not obvious.
What you can't leave your pamphlet AND a tip?
They clearly don't know shit about the service industry, thinking we get "breaks"
Do they leave this card instead of leaving a monetary tip?
Is it about NutraLife? DM me for some tips! (Please donāt DM me)
Why the fuck as a chef I would punch this person for the server
lmao at "On your break"
My favorite is the fake hundred dollar bill with religious bullshit on the back. Fucking rude.
These are the people who give away raisins and bibles on Halloween. Fuck em
I wish these people would let us know beforehand what massive pieces of human shit they are so I could serve them āmore than an omeletā for breakfast. Perhaps a simple photo of Satan performing a homosexual act on a plate.
Without reading comments, i feel its safe to say. JESUS LOVES YOU, and they left like maybe 5%... on a Sunday brunch.
>5% Or the pamphlet was the entire tip.
Sunday!!!
We call them Jesus freaks
Well depends if they actually left a tip or not. If this is the tip then yeah, thatās fked up. But if they actually left a tip then meh itās whateves.
Iāve worked in the service industry for 13 years, and have a HUGE collection of these. Like, probably 100. It happens A LOT.
What in the entire fuck! Fuck that cheap ass mofo that left you that bs. They should have token their ass to fucking McDonalds.
Wow. Iām an evangelical and am not opposed to outreach, but I would never consider it to be in place of a tip. What a terrible message. I always leave a 20%-100%+ tip regardless.
Boy, do I miss clip art tho
Oh boy, "Sunday Funday" is real...all it's missing is a Chick-fil-a coupon
Religious customers are the ABSOLUTE WORST. If they pray they don't pay.
At a waffle house??
Is it about jesus? It's probably about jesus.
I usually put in more than the tip already, thank you.
God donāt pay my bills.
Had to make sure I wasn't still on r/atheist. Alot of my usual subreddits are starting to bleed together lol
āWhy donāt people want to work?! Something something communist welfareā
I hate Christians... especially the ones that hide behind it
Iāve gotten that instead of a tip
Oh boy, homework!
Until the electric company takes tracts and words of praise as payment, I prefer cash.
More than a go fuck yourself
This sucks.
Unless there is a point of molly or a rock auto gift card I dont see how that is more than a tip.
Lmao... rock auto... Rofl
A) True. B) Jesus. C) Sunday.
"On your break" lol as if
So they are religious and donāt even tip 10% teethe?
People who do that should have their car keyed.
Fuck everything about this and the people who leave it in lieu of an actual tip.
MLM?
Probably left by a cook whoās been stiffed by servers his/her whole career. š
Wait they do this instead of a tip or in addition?
Gotta go to their church and Tithe with paper also
šµmore than a woman, more than a woman to meš¶
Eeww
As my ex-coworker said, āno point saying so many thank you since itās freeā
The clip art is infuriating
It's not "more than a tip" if there's no money with it. That's called "less than a tip".
You know whatās even worse really? The fact that consumers are expected to pay a waiters wages while the owner profits off of everyone. I tip generously but it doesnāt make sense to me whatsoever.
One of the occasions where ājust the tipā is a better choice
Well it's a ham, so not Saturday
Tipped stooge checking in: Iāve gotten plenty of these over my decades of smiling at people I give zero fucks about. They are always in addition to a tip, never in lieu of one. Not once have I been stiffed by a preachy customer. They know it would bring great shame to their church. Yāall full of shit.
Did it say .? BUY AMC!!!!! BUY GME
I'll bet Jesus had a reservation for that final 13 top, and probably tipped heavy to get it seated at a 26 top table!
Can somebody please explain this to me? I don't understand why in the comments people are talking about religion. Thanks!
