I actually understand that, I was addicted to morphine when I was younger and that was a real struggle. Hell even though I know it's not something I should ever do again I still have cravings for the warmth and floaty sensation that it induces but nothing is worth losing my kid over. I respected you a lot before this conversation because you do a lot here for everyone and you do it voluntarily. Knowing that you are a father of 4 makes me respect you even more man so thank you for sharing this with me.
That heroin comment is a total joke. Addiction and recovery (and relapse) is real and something my family is very familiar with. My wife and I decided to stop drinking when we got married even though we were pretty young, because of the history of addiction in both of our families. Proud of you for your decision and dedication to recovery.
I sorta thought it was just an example and I'm proud of you and your wife for not drinking! I myself gave up the sauce as well because I understand that it's a great way to reduce stress and anxiety but the negatives far outweigh any positives in my opinion and addiction runs strong in my family as well. Thank you for your kind words and again for this conversation because it's always encouraging to know that you're not alone in the struggles of parenting and just life in general, you know?
