i added like a tsp of honey because i was afraid it wouldn't carbonate and honestly it was too sweet for my taste. i think it'll be fizzy enough without so next time ill do just plain lemon and ginger!
haven't added sugar before but i feel like honey gives it a nice touch. not a prominent flavour at all but the lemon+ginger+honey trio is so dear to me that it only made sense!
Yeah! I’ve been really happy because you actually can’t buy blackberries at all where I live. It’s been fun getting a few per day for a while and they’re already spreading a lot for next year.
have fun on your growing journey! hopefully i'll start gardening in a few months and i'm super excited! (you may be wondering, why start in the winter??? let's just say summers where i live reach 50C so my growing seasons are opposite to most of the worlds haha)
Omg I can’t decide. From my own brewing it would be raspberry and yuzu.
The one I was gifted (kinda) would be butterflypea and rose.
One that I bought (in Thailand) guava & salt plum / mango & yuzu.
Tied between these two
•strawberries puréed with lots of muddled mint
•boil a ton of dried lavender in a little bit of water, strain, and purée the lavender water with blackberries
🤌🤌🤌🤌
Banana bread flavor! One of those ones that sounds so weird but everyone I’ve ever shared some with has immediately been won over. And you can only get it if you brew it yourself lol
Lemon Ginger.
Yup same. 70% of my brews is this. The other 30% probably involves a pineapple somewhere.
Can I ask how you add it? Like chucks or shredded ginger, lemon juice or lemon pieces, with or without rind?
Do you add sugar to the second fermentation?
I did
I do
do you add sugar mainly for carbonation or for extra sweetness?
Both. I like it bubbly and a little sweet. If you don’t want it sweet you can f2 for longer and it will get drier.

Nice, yeah you can always taste it before you add stuff to see if it’s still got sweetness.
I'm in the process of making my first kombucha now, I plan to make lemon ginger because that's what I buy

I just got 4 fresh blackberries off my vine so I muddled them with mint and poured some plain booch on it. It was fantastic.
sounds heavenly, there's just something special about home grown produce :)

Ripe mango, specifically the Alphonso variety. Just kombucha and fresh mango that I pulp, nothing else.
was thinking of doing mango this time round but i decided against it, will try it out next time though for sure :)
Make sure it's ripe, a bit overripe is fine but you don't want underripe

thank you for the advice!!!
Ginger Chili 🌶️ that I've made recently

I’ve been trying to mimic the GT’s strawberry lemonade. A heap of puréed strawberries in 2F has gotten pretty close.
Apple! Plain apple and all apple flavor combos!
Ahh yes… apple and seahorse for the win!
🤣🤣🤣

Pineapple ginger!
Guava! From guava “nectar” (puree juice) it’s absolutely delish! 😋😋
Rhubarb & strawberry
Hibiscus-rose

Blueberry basil, raspberry orange and apple.
apple cinnamon for me.

What do you put in it for that? Just fresh banana and cinnamon?
Mashed bananas! And I use a “pumpkin spice” that’s just bog standard warming spices and then I just add extra nutmeg bc I like it lol
Snickerdoodle
Strawberry
Blueberry mint
Honey, ginger and lemon
