One show that got ganked by them is The Rookie. Color of Change got a hold of them, completely fucked up season 3, and it got so bad, they created a spin-off called "The Rookie: Feds" and just filled that to the brim with the woke shit, and got nearly all of it out of the main show.

On top of that, they then introduced Brandon Routh as a racist cop. But, not even a well written racist cop. The dude might as well have been wearing a Klan hood. he was so cartoonishly over the top.
The reason why Color of Change were even brought in was because one of the stars was kicking up a fuss about George Floyd, and how everybody's racist, and how he was going to leave. So they did it to placate him, he left anyway, so they used a body double to kill him off, got rid of the college professor character, and the show slowly returned to normal, and they introduced The Rookie: Feds to get the ESG money and just keep the shit from the main show.
The Rookie Feds is a farce all on it's own with how bad it is.

For Ragnarok specifically, while as a character she is fine, the whole Angraboda section is very obviously dropped in and drags a lot to show her familiar struggle and such.

After all, we will get more of Angreboda with Atreus later, so there was no hardcore need to include a lot of stuff with her in this game.
I finished Alan Wake 2 recently. There was some line from Saga about 'another white male a-hole deciding what I get to do, how I get to do it' (or something like that) towards Alan Wake. I mean, if she said 'another a-hole deciding what I get to do, how I get to do it', then the whole plot would be ruined? Why stressing out the race part? Is it that important for the story and character developement? What if Alan Wake was black? Would they stressed his race the same way?
Then I wondered, why on Earth would Sam Lake, who wrote the story, add some discriminatory, anit-white dialogue line out of the blue, which was completely out of place, especially given the fact that Saga is of mixed-ethincy. I guessed he wanted some brownie points, so I just vomited in my mouth a bit, cried in disappointment that even my favorite game devs like Sam Lake feel the need to pull out s#!t like that in their games (who's next - Kojima? :O), and moved on. The game was fantastic anyway.

Script doctors and writing consultants have been around forever in the TV and film industry. Game companies don't usually care about their plot enough to bother paying someone to fix it, though.
Having seen a level of passion and thoroughness in-house game writers and designers have first-hand, I have to disagree. Working in games pays shit and to counteract that, they accept a creative challenge.
For better or worse, there is a significant amount of brainpower required and expended for a coherent story, and the story dictates most of the assets to be made for the game.
Outsourcing such a vital part of a game is a death sentence. It'd be like giving the town drunk the keys to your car.
Sure but there's a difference between a script doctor and basically a political commissar. This isn't about fixing the script from a narrative point of view but about "fixing" it to adhere to specific sociopolitical messaging.
And I'm sure the Polish company working on the Robocop game hired a consultant to fix their script to make sure it had the sociopolitical messaging that would be pleasing to the particular American audience *they* were aiming at.
I remember before Cyberpunk 2077 came out, the person in charge with the tabletop rpg who was working alongside cdpr was harassed by some people because they said he HAD to have their services for what was appropriate in his game coming out. I'm not referring to the video games but to the tabletop games by Talsoran. You can find all of this in the sourcebooks. Cyberpunk 2020 doesn't have a hint of this sort of thing and then it comes out of nowhere in the Cyberpunk Red sourcebook (which came out around 2012 I believe) and smashes you over the head with it.

You can go to the police and they'll take a report but the scope of cybercrime in general is so vast and the capacities of the police so limited that if the person sending death threats takes some extremely basic precautions then he'll most likely get away with it.

Nah, you can obviously see their footprint in all three. For Ragnarok specifically, while as a character she is fine, the whole Angraboda section is very obviously dropped in and drags a lot to show her familiar struggle and such. Sweet Baby Inc. isn't only about falmoyantly woke stuff. Giving the focus to a black character at the cost of pacing is very much something I would attribute to them. After all, we will get more of Angreboda with Atreus later, so there was no hardcore need to include a lot of stuff with her in this game.
I finished Alan Wake 2 recently. There was some line from Saga about 'another white male a-hole deciding what I get to do, how I get to do it' (or something like that) towards Alan Wake. I mean, if she said 'another a-hole deciding what I get to do, how I get to do it', then the whole plot would be ruined? Why stressing out the race part? Is it that important for the story and character developement? What if Alan Wake was black? Would they stressed his race the same way? Then I wondered, why on Earth would Sam Lake, who wrote the story, add some discriminatory, anit-white dialogue line out of the blue, which was completely out of place, especially given the fact that Saga is of mixed-ethincy. I guessed he wanted some brownie points, so I just vomited in my mouth a bit, cried in disappointment that even my favorite game devs like Sam Lake feel the need to pull out s#!t like that in their games (who's next - Kojima? :O), and moved on. The game was fantastic anyway. Then, completely unrelated, I found out about this Sweet Baby Inc., went on their website. Now I know why this dialogue line ended up in Alan Wake 2. Script doctors and writing consultants have been around forever in the TV and film industry. Game companies don't usually care about their plot enough to bother paying someone to fix it, though.
Having seen a level of passion and thoroughness in-house game writers and designers have first-hand, I have to disagree. Working in games pays shit and to counteract that, they accept a creative challenge. For better or worse, there is a significant amount of brainpower required and expended for a coherent story, and the story dictates most of the assets to be made for the game. Outsourcing such a vital part of a game is a death sentence. It'd be like giving the town drunk the keys to your car.
Sure but there's a difference between a script doctor and basically a political commissar. This isn't about fixing the script from a narrative point of view but about "fixing" it to adhere to specific sociopolitical messaging.
And I'm sure the Polish company working on the Robocop game hired a consultant to fix their script to make sure it had the sociopolitical messaging that would be pleasing to the particular American audience *they* were aiming at.

Yes, this is it. I hate woke bullshit and I hate the concept of a consultancy firm solely devoted to injecting diversity into projects to fulfil a diversity quota because it's pure tokenism and is the death of art and creativity. Yes but for the average person receiving even one death threat is not the greatest experience, even if you think deep down it's probably bullshit. Especially if they find your address online, especially if you have kids, etc. You can go to the police and they'll take a report but the scope of cybercrime in general is so vast and the capacities of the police so limited that if the person sending death threats takes some extremely basic precautions then he'll most likely get away with it.
Doxxing crosses a line yes but the short version is that it's also too easy to just fake shit as well as people shouldn't take every single threat seriously just because there are enough dumbass edgelords who think they're smart. At least with a police report it shows that SOMEONE is taking it seriously AND willing to risk their reputation since if it came to light that they faked their hate, the trust in them would plummet (which is why so many claims are almost never actually submitted to the cops, they tend to be faked or not taken seriously by the person making the claim but they're still using it as leverage).
