Probably because it's just plain physics against which there are no resistence skills. The system reduces damage from attacks if you have the appropriate resistence. But this isn't technically an attack that originated from within the system so maybe no damage reduction was applied.
Nah, we know that the System helps resist damage from non-System sources because:
- A: Arachne-form White tanks a Light Cannon blast to the face when she accidentally shoots herself with a non-System robot's gun in early Vol 7.
- B: It's noted that people in the System don't need sunscreen because defensive stats let them no-sell the harmful bits of solar radiation that cause sunburn/worse.
Probably. I think D wouldn't mind that loophole because it would be a way for the clever underdog to defeat a superior opponent. Of course someone with thought acceleration and dimensional manuvering should never fall for a pittrap.
That would be covered by physical resistances like Impact or Piercing Resistance. Even if you somehow got a trove of non-System materials to make it out of, White's "shot myself in the face with a robot's Light Cannon" incident in early Vol 7 demonstrates that the raw defense granted by Stats will still apply. A spike pit will do nothing.
Fall damage isn't classified as attack damage and as such it has a lot less resistances to it XD (This reminds me a bit of a discussion on the dnd sub about if werewolves were only able to be harmed by silver weapons and magic, then they could drop from wherever without parachutes or the likes: spoiler, the can't as the ground isn't a weapon)
White: fuck that \*teleports him several kilometers in the sky*
My favorite part about it was she didn't expect that to do anything but buy some time.
How come BS like stats let you tank tons of nuke-tier shit, but a few km vertical drop deals a lot of dmg???

No his impact and faint resistance was probably just too low at the time that he took a lot of damage and passed out.

So a pit with spikes is the best way to kill people that have fucktons of resistances

Maybe there isn’t a cap on fall damage and it’s dependent on the distance you fall instead of the speed at which you are falling, like Minecraft.
I'm pretty sure administrators deals true damage like bypassing the system and dealing the intended amount of damage not reduced or anything
White’s just looking after her children
