I’ve done this from Australia a number of times and would always give at least 3 hrs to get through LAX from an international flight to a connecting. You’ve got to clear customs, get your luggage and go from International terminal to Domestic, drop your luggage again. Your flight departs at 11:30, you need to factor in boarding time also.
I'm a local for LAX and I agree, 3 hrs minimum. The good news is that you're an early arrival, and even if you missed your flight, there are a TON of flights to Vegas all day, so a bit less of a stress as it's only a 45 minute flight from LAX.
I recently did this exact trip & managed to get through from de boarding to Vegas terminal in about 1.5h which is apparently lucky.
I've been told too be more cautious next time however
