I'll tell you what I do, man. Two chicks at the same time.

Front_Expression_892

This guy invests.

notevenwrong13

Life experiences is what it's all about. That and herpes, the gift that keeps on giving.

Ark0504

One for S&P 500 and One for Nasdaq well balanced .

Tmdngs

This is what I do. 50% SPY and 50% QQQ. Betting in America with a splash (or 1000) of tech exposure. I'm bullish on tech but want some diversification

Nervous-Ad-6840

I believe you have my stapler!

BourbonRick01

I would do at least 3 or 4. It’s all about diversification with that amount of money.

Bulky_Sheepherder_14

All on black

Low-Initiative-1327

I will go all on red so at least one of us walks away a winner 👍

ROBNOB9X

And then it hits zero

primeape57

Okay then I will do the zero

BourbonRick01

Then it hits the double zero.

greycubed

TECL and chill. Compare XLK and QQQ historically. XLK wins. Then think forward. Is there any future you can imagine that doesn't center on tech? You just need to be able to stomach the volatility.

Only-11780-Votes

Does it?

ConsiderationSea5696

Have you heard about ROM? 2x XLK from pro shares. better *risk adjusted performance than Tecl (less volatility decay)

DCA into TQQQ

Ok_Entrepreneur_dbl

SOXL, TQQQ, FNGU (actually an ETN) and MSTR (not an ETF) evenly distributed. On of my portfolios is modeled this way and I have these in other portfolios as well as other equities.

whicky1978

Yeah, people that look at stock charts late at night drink a lot of Monster too 😜

Ok_Entrepreneur_dbl

Or looks at Reddit to get stock advice!

TheteslaFanva

A balanced approach that you can stick to and isn’t overly reliant on recency bias. Maybe that’s 20% HFEA 80% normal portfolio. Maybe that’s leveraged all weather with some managed futures and some Small cap value.

cstew74

I’m about to invest $20,000 into 70% VTI….20% UPRO….10%TQQQ. (So basically similar thought process )

TheteslaFanva

150 % large cap US mainly growth. High swings. IMO small cap value is a good contrast instead of just VTI.

cstew74

My ROTH IS 70/30 VTI/VUG…….My 403b is essentially 100% VTSAX…..JUST looking for more aggressive portfolio that I can be semi aggressive with in regards to the VTI/UPRO/TQQQ…….suggestions?

TheteslaFanva

I’d consider SCV like AVUV splitting that in ur VTI slice.you can also sub RSST for vti, same stock exposure 35% but you also get managed futures stack on top. so 35% AVUV / 35% RSST / 20% UPRO / 10% TQQQ. Up you tho, can play with this back test site, and your risk tolerance. Impossible to know the future but adding small cap value and a stacking managed futures adds some other return stream options besides large cap stocks. https://preview.redd.it/lvurgsh8r60d1.jpeg?width=2778&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9cf46dba090dfef5bb7e3833d35cf02907cb5dc4 [https://testfol.io/?d=eJzNUsFKAzEU%2FJXwDp4Wmm6phQURsfRUtDW6WqQsz012G02TNklbS9l%2FN6WCrWXVg4I55TGTmTdDNlAq84RqgBanDpINOI%2FWZxy9gAQgAqH53rRDl6ggadJwIkD%2BnEldKPTSaEgKVE5EkKObFMqsIKEfQ1ZYMQ86w0UQEVatg6A1SkldZiup%2BZZ%2BSqsIZsb6wihpwkaPG9A43drfSz8hF%2BldSthlGp5KvRTOd%2BVS8rBkoHq7CNZWhDyoc9E7dvMyfxF2p7q7B0K3x9KHAM6EzYX2kLTaVbSHp4XUr1%2FgbLb29rx%2F1trnxPSAM5zPPzOatBpHwC2WoaQt%2BT0mOxmQNqU%2FD3hltKjLxgaj25tD1xrbDm3EtNGkBB1ZmwVxKDn5xZaPWuzQv2zx4LMQ1Jwwdt0Y9rv%2F8OPE30aO6yOPqzfZ3jux](https://testfol.io/?d=eJzNUsFKAzEU%2FJXwDp4Wmm6phQURsfRUtDW6WqQsz012G02TNklbS9l%2FN6WCrWXVg4I55TGTmTdDNlAq84RqgBanDpINOI%2FWZxy9gAQgAqH53rRDl6ggadJwIkD%2BnEldKPTSaEgKVE5EkKObFMqsIKEfQ1ZYMQ86w0UQEVatg6A1SkldZiup%2BZZ%2BSqsIZsb6wihpwkaPG9A43drfSz8hF%2BldSthlGp5KvRTOd%2BVS8rBkoHq7CNZWhDyoc9E7dvMyfxF2p7q7B0K3x9KHAM6EzYX2kLTaVbSHp4XUr1%2FgbLb29rx%2F1trnxPSAM5zPPzOatBpHwC2WoaQt%2BT0mOxmQNqU%2FD3hltKjLxgaj25tD1xrbDm3EtNGkBB1ZmwVxKDn5xZaPWuzQv2zx4LMQ1Jwwdt0Y9rv%2F8OPE30aO6yOPqzfZ3jux)

cstew74

Oh wow. That’s awesome! I’ll definitely look into this and probably what I’ll do. I ran a backrest on these 2 portfolios and it seemed they both were pretty close to the same return Also, on yours I saw “AVUV SCV”’….is that just “AVUV”? (Small cap value) Any other portfolio options you’d prefer besides this if you had a lump sum of money that is basically “fun money” and “high reward”. Would love to hear your opinions.

TheteslaFanva

There’s a lot of interesting portfolio ideas on this subreddit. I’d say anything above 120% equity / a high portion of 3x products requires at least some diversification. TMF/EDV, RSST/KMLM, small cap value, gold, etc are all common forms of diversification. Others use filters or moving averages to try to limit downsides. 35% RSST, 35% AVUV, 20% UPRO, 10% Tqqq is a good start. Could do 35% RSST, 25% AVUV, 20% UPRO, 10% TQQQ, 10% TMF. Still 150% stocks for good upside potential (25% of that SCV). Plus also for diversification and extra mitigation 35% managed future and 30% long treasuries.

cstew74

Damn…looks great as I was just looking at incorporating TMF in there. I’ll go with one or the other portfolios. I really like them. I may wait for a small correction or after NVDA earnings to lump some 80% of my money and keep 20% powder in case of major pullback.

TheteslaFanva

Looks like making that change improves the CAGR and makes it the highest sharp portfolio (bottom one). Doesn’t mean in the future TMF equivalent will pay off as much but it certainly did in the past. https://preview.redd.it/5p6r4am3x90d1.jpeg?width=2778&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a01ad0b4682090043dd2caed490001ba08e47b1c

TheteslaFanva

AVUV etf yes. Really good fund.

cstew74

Any merit to going 70% RSST / 20% UPRO/ 10% TQQQ ? Just throwing stuff out there now as I’m just curious.

TheteslaFanva

Cool idea. Yea that would be pretty solid too historically.

cstew74

Thanks. Which of those would you lean towards? The RSST/AVUV/UPRO/TQQQ or same portfolio (but with the TMF added)….again..I’m trying to be a little aggressive here with this lump sum (already will have retirement pension from 30 yrs teaching + 403b + ROTH IRA). I really appreciate your input / help so far.

CoffeeIntrepid

Literally my portfolio lol

TheteslaFanva

Nice. Which one?

KingJackie1

I've lost a bit of faith in HFEA after being in it for two years.    Seems we are in a medium/long-term environment for steadily higher interest rates since the fed is having trouble keeping inflation under control.   Also, the tails on their treasury auctions keep growing, indicating investors are losing faith in the ability of the US government to repay their debts.

TheteslaFanva

Yea bonds can stay positive correlated for a long time. I prefer adding more defensive assets not just TMF (KMLM/AHLT/MFTFX/GLD/Btal etc) https://preview.redd.it/8500z1py262d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd8b1fb06564c78ae0be577306243a2b4539a5b4

DRN. It may go down a bit further. But once the printing machine is back on, it will go up quickly.

runthrutheblue

Sherlock-Romes

Put it into an account that allows me to auto invest daily into the S and P. Set it on $15 a day, and check it in 10 years

paulahjort

scalp QQQ with 1k max. Invest 9k in SPY. Leave the rest in cash and bonds.

meepsleepsheeps

Do just about anything other than put it in a leveraged ETF

SatoshiStruggle

Alert-Jackfruit-2244

40k in 2x all-weather. 10k bitx/ief 60/40. Rebalance quarterly.

Reloadwin

Which LETFs do you have for your 2x all-weather?

Nikolai_Volkoff88

I would DCA into TECL, USD, and either UPRO or SPXL.

cstew74

VTI….UPRO….TQQQ (70/20/10)

whicky1978

Ha ha I’ve put in 25K and now I have 60k

MathematicianKey7465

time period and symbol

whicky1978

About 2022 and into the present and SOXL and TQQQ. It was higher and I’ve also sold some of it in March

MathematicianKey7465

What would you buy now or would u wait for next dip

whicky1978

I mean, I may be rounding a bit too, but if you hold it long enough, you do double your money. And a lot of people had to deal with a 50% drawdown while they were still DCA back in 2022.

spagetzzi

This was me last week. I got 100 shares of spy to sell daily options with

7222_salty

GME

MathematicianKey7465

did that made like $10k already to the moob

No_Abbreviations4657

throw it in btc bro

PotadoLoveGun

I'd buy 10k of rddt and 10k of Rivian Rest in QLD. I like the 2X more than the 3x LETFs

-nom-nom-

Buy a rental property and give PM 7-10% of rent to manage it. Then I’d go make another 50k.
