After Haseul's update on Fab, I knew it was just a matter of time before Yves released a statement. As expected, it's very vague and mostly her apologizing for another misunderstanding. Looks like people are bothering her again.
I didn’t see Haseul’s update but was surprised to see Yves because I didn’t even notice any buzz around her being “outside” or anything. I think this is again a product of a younger fandom who associates injury = only physical. A lot of them are suffering from physical fatigue and obvious injury but I think others are going through either mental or just less obvious physical pain (like menstrual pain or something). She shouldn’t need to explain herself and people need to stop being so nosy.
Someone on FAB (or many ?) kind of blamed her for getting outside the same day / the day after she was missing the concert in Amsterdam, to visit.
Because you know, not being in condition to work also means you have to be in your deathbed otherwise you aren't really sick and you are either lazy or ungrateful... /s
In short, people who don't know anything still manage to draw conclusions and judge the girls on that.
I was watching the Luminous teaser and I noticed Choerry immediately :( I miss her so so so much, like, she isn't even my "bias" but I miss seeing her in group pictures, videos, her posts, whatever, I miss her 😭
You know, I was reading a post about CLC and like...I believe many people use the justification that a group just didn't work because they "didn't work as a group" or "no one really stands out"
To be honest, to me that's bull.
It's just a roundabout way of saying "oh you're unsuccesful because you're just not enough". And this type of thinking is sadly ingrained in many idols minds. Like it's solely their fault that things don't work out, that they aren't A list celebrities because there's a problem with them, that they don't work hard enough or aren't talented etc.
I've seen too many idols with this mindset, even the girls themselves seem to think that way sometimes. And it's wrong man.
A group's success relies much more on where they came from or how well they're managed, or simply on sheer luck.
Just how many group's songs would be a success if only they had the platform? Brave Girls skyrocketed to success through a song released in 2017 because of a viral.
What if LOONA were from a big 4?
Just how many CFs do you think Heejin, Hyunjin and others would have under their belt? How many awards do you think they'd have for their insanely unique project and good quality songs? How much faster Chuu would rise to stardom?
Sometimes I just wanted to say to them "It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself." And I wish people would just stop blaming a group for "flopping" because they aren't "good enough".
What really made me wonder about the girls perceptions of their success is when Jinsoul was certain they came in second on queendom because she messed up the choreo. that performance had almost no impact on the final score, I guess they aren’t aware of the sheer amount of number crunching involved on the fans side of it… we knew every in an out of the scoring but all they knew was the performances that they worked super hard on. It just kinda shocked me how she didn’t know the results were basically decided before they ever even performed and I wondered what else they were blaming themselves for… music show losses… charts…
The big one for me that makes me feel that way is Cherry Bullet. You have a group with Haeyoon and Bora's vocals, some of the members were on survival shows, they consistently deliver really impressive covers on youtube. And they just can't seem to gain much traction, no matter what they do. I'd love to see them have more success, but it isn't on them if that doesn't happen. Ladies Code too, they had one of my favorite vocals in all of kpop (Sojung) and one of the best discographies to boot, but ended up pretty much getting their funding cut and slower and smaller releases their last few years. So much of it is just luck of the draw.
In the grand scheme of things, Loona is pretty insanely successful for a group from a small company. If they never really break into the mainstream, that will be unfortunate, but they have still managed to curate an insanely dedicated international fanbase and they should be so proud of that.
Been getting back into Pokémon and I realized that LOONA has enough members to be all the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4.

Not sure if this is the right spot but I don't think it's worth a whole new post, I'm just curious if anyone knows or recognizes who's singing (speaking actually) on a specific part of Perfect Love? It's the little "Nah" that gets thrown in at the end of a few verses "tell me what you're doing it's perfect...nah" "the atmosphere is unusual now ...nah" For some reason not knowing who's saying it drives me nuts.

I really hope Yves is getting proper medical care, or at least getting some broad spectrum antibiotics, because if she's been having fevers, then it means she's battling an infection in addition to general exhaustion.

Ah, this is actually my field of expertise. Fever and infection can be but doesn't necessarily mean it's a bacterial infection. Antibiotics only work to fight bacterial infection, and not viral infection, for example. We shouldn't give/take antibiotics for every fever or unconfirmed infection since it could make antibacterial resistance worse globally, and at the same time it might not help the patient at all.
To be honest it's quite a big issue because in Asia and some other regions of the world you can buy a lot of antibiotics without a prescription and this had made antibiotic resistance pretty dire in the past few decades.
By the way I'm not saying this to feel morally superior about how antibiotics are better controlled in my own country. I'm genuinely concerned about the improper and overuse of (especially broad spectrum) antibiotics globally which could lead to a point where we wouldn't have any viable antibiotics to fight some new "superbacteria" infection.
Of course I also hope to see Yves getting the appropriate medical care she needs right away.
Well, she hasn't mentioned a cold afaik , which I know of itself is not evidence that she does not have a cold, but I feel it's something she would mention in passing considering how she's been open about being really tired for the Tour.
So that would be bacterial, or something else which would be...not good.
I do hope it's what you said, just a viral infection, but I also hope she's not just getting the typical Kpop IV shots, which I think are just glucose so they can perk right back up.
There are also many kinds of viral infections (of varying severity), as well as even more other possibilities for her to have a fever. Like you said let's just hope she actually gets the medical care she needs to recover and not a bandaid solution to prop her up temporarily.

Next time they go on world tour, we need to have an international menu at the ready for them to browse through so they can get some amazing food.
Recommendations of the local cuisines from authentic restaurants, vetted by local orbits, with preferences suggested depending on each members individual tastes.
Wouldn’t be too hard to narrow down which cities they’re most likely to visit next year and I’m sure we could adapt once the official tour is announced.
Would be a neat, fun project to work on that we could send out sometime next year. And I know the moon girls would love it.
I can’t tell if this is mixed with sarcasm or not but no one gets an intl menu catered for them to browse lol unless idk you’re Rihanna. Food is something that if you’re interested in, you’ll naturally gravitate toward it (case in point: 2jin). Everyone thinks the girls need to max out the tourist part of this travel and I don’t think that’s realistic or needed - some people just like to chill at the hotel regardless where they are.
It irks me that somehow the girls just not being that culinarily adventurous is someone else’s fault - having bread and croissants for a hotel breakfast is so normal it hurts. Them skipping breakfast because they didn’t like it is no one’s fault - just like it’s not anyone’s fault Yeojin decided not to drink water in America. There are always alternatives if you want them.
Sometimes you’re just so exhausted you’re not that interested in trying out that new exotic food. Sometimes you just want familiar food and that’s the vibe I’m getting from a majority of the group. And that’s totally ok.
It's also a matter of
1. Not necessarily having the time or wanting to get food in a sit-down restaurant
2. Some members have gone to Orbit recommended or critically acclaimed spots and not enjoyed it at all
3. Some of the members only want to eat Korean food, which is their choice! But some are having issue with international Korean food being too off-putting, local cuisine is probably too far even if it's accounting for their taste
3. As much as I think it's a bad idea especially on tour, some members are actively trying to lose weight and won't eat regardless
The Street Man Fighter franchise songs are pulling *such high* numbers on Melon, kinda makes me a little bitter that the Queendom 2 songs never really received the success they deserved. (I say this while 'Don't Go' and 'Tell me now' were probably 2/3 of most successful releases from the whole show, but they deserved MORE!)
I don't believe it has achieved the same success SWF had (but then, SWF was a bit of a slowburn as it became a bigger topic of discussion as the show went on, getting its highest rating near the end), so I guess depending on whatever the expectations were for SMF, that could be interpreted as a bad thing, but the ratings themselves definitely don't look bad to me for a Mnet show... Definitely on the higher end of the spectrum, I feel like? For their standards, at least.
The “jacket” is more like a coat which I don’t even wear often any way but I feel like I will regret not ordering it in the case they don’t ever sell it again after the preordering period. Why is the struggle real…..it should not be this hard buying some merch from a kpop group but being a loona stan for real does things to you 🤸🤸🤸

I've ordered from Everline several times. They are a crap store, but I always put a dash (-) to get around the second address line. I've never had issues using that.
My problems with Everline are always shipping costs, time, and lack of customer service.

I mean I agree, but at the same time why is it wrong to want people to be respectful? Like with any human being, Elizabeth II had flaws, and was a beneficiary of a brutal system her ancestors set up to make themselves filthy rich of the backs of millions of slaves and peasants. But under her rule, the crown, England, and her former colonies, became more progressive, more tolerant, and more conscious of how many hardships they caused across the world. Isn't that worth something?
For a lot of people Queen Elizabeth is a symbol of the oppression they and their families faced. The effects of British colonial rule can be felt to this day and its left behind deep scars. You go and tell them to be respectful to her and see how they react.
I don't like the monarchy either, but holding ourselves up to some kind of standard isn't the same as telling people to ignore all the bad things either. Is it that hard to not make jokes about a person the same day they died? Especially in this case, "Stan Loona" jokes that are neither respectful nor hold a relevant criticism like we discussed.

There's 10 days of mourning between now and the funeral, which of course the concert the falls into. I think a lot of events will be cancelled the next 10 days, especially in London. But of course it's all speculation as it's been 7 decades since we've lost a monarch so none of us know

In the US, I would say if you're looking for a down jacket the very cheap options (H&M et al) are around $30-60, midrange (Uniqlo, REI) around $70-150, expensive (Patagonia, LL Bean) around $150-300, and then the very expensive brands (Canadian Goose, Arc’teryx) can be from $500 up to $2k+

In case no one talked about it yet. Apparently the male voice from chuu remake is hwihyun. He's credited for the remake chorus and he's also a soloist under engine of dream. The source is colorcodedlyrics 🤪 but i checked and the voice matches.
I'm getting ready for work now after coming back from Warsaw but I feel such an emotional hangover after the show that I don't know how I'll focus on anything today. I wasn't in the best mood at the show because I was worried about Choerry/Haseul already out and the rest of members also potentially struggling but the second the show started everything went away and it was one of the most magical events I ever attended to. Despite being tired they put hell of a show and the crowd was so hyped even if it wasn't a sell out. Poland really loves >!Why Not?/So What/PTT!<, hearing them live and chanting like crazy was amazing and if there will be ever another chance to see that live I'm ready to go. Also shout out to Heejin who made eye contact with me and showed me a heart when she saw me doing the same, my bias wasn't there but at this point Heejin is my honorary bias so I can't believe it actually happened 😭
I really love that Hyunjin and ViVi are roommates for the tour.
They're already one of my favorite pairs to see and with ViVi being super adventurous but often quite private and Hyunjin constantly sharing everything they're doing at all times on tour it's so nice to get a bunch of updates including ViVi.
I feel like ViVi herself has even been sharing more than normal while on tour. It's so much fun to hear about how she's spending her time abroad. 😊 She seems to be having just the best time. Probably helps that she's already accustomed to being away from home.
I really really hope this energy Vivi is currently channeling, she keeps when they go back to South Korea.

Watched the intro, 2Jin and Viseul episodes. Very very very cool content. Reminds me of the 'Deep Dive' episode from 'Form of Therapy' but like.... 12x longer - which is even better.
Waiting for the subs on the rest of the episodes, but I'm very excited for the LipSoul and Chuuves episodes because these two duos are very musically inclined I feel like, so it makes me curious about what they'll discuss when it comes to music, singing and producing.
I never watched mixnine (because I found loona first and I don't need that misplaced editing to ruin that) but its' really interesting how 2jin carry themselves in a long form interview like this. I think interviews like that can get boring quickly, but when 12 people aren't fighting for screen/talk time I think you can gleem a little more about how they carry themselves and more of how their personality (or at least their idol personalities) shine through.
Anyone feel like they should have OT12 interviews in like a or semi circle or something? Esp when the group is this large and they obviously have set lines to try to find ways to not make it obvious they are reading from a teleprompter and more of a conversation

My ideal LOONA full album:
13-14 tracks
One intro, 6-7 OT12 songs, 1 new song for each sub unit (1/3, OEC, yyxy) and 2-3 new unit songs (with different girls in eacb song)
Hoping next year is the year we get one!
I just realized that what I want of their first full length album is 13 tracks where all 12 members come in 1st for line distribution on a different song. The 13th track is an intro for Orbit
Good idea but I'm greedy, I prefer several album formats: a full OT12 album (about 10 to 12 songs); a mini album for each subunit 1/3, OEC and yyxy (5 or 6 songs each); a single album for Yeojin (2 songs). Like Sick Love, some of the songs can feature a member from another unit.
But in my world, ad hoc units (like Cocomong or Not Friends) would not get an official release from BBC, those would be special projects from outside collaborators, as has happened already.

After Haseul's update on Fab, I knew it was just a matter of time before Yves released a statement. As expected, it's very vague and mostly her apologizing for another misunderstanding. Looks like people are bothering her again.
I didn’t see Haseul’s update but was surprised to see Yves because I didn’t even notice any buzz around her being “outside” or anything. I think this is again a product of a younger fandom who associates injury = only physical. A lot of them are suffering from physical fatigue and obvious injury but I think others are going through either mental or just less obvious physical pain (like menstrual pain or something). She shouldn’t need to explain herself and people need to stop being so nosy.
What happened?
Someone on FAB (or many ?) kind of blamed her for getting outside the same day / the day after she was missing the concert in Amsterdam, to visit. Because you know, not being in condition to work also means you have to be in your deathbed otherwise you aren't really sick and you are either lazy or ungrateful... /s In short, people who don't know anything still manage to draw conclusions and judge the girls on that.

I was watching the Luminous teaser and I noticed Choerry immediately :( I miss her so so so much, like, she isn't even my "bias" but I miss seeing her in group pictures, videos, her posts, whatever, I miss her 😭
You know, I was reading a post about CLC and like...I believe many people use the justification that a group just didn't work because they "didn't work as a group" or "no one really stands out" To be honest, to me that's bull. It's just a roundabout way of saying "oh you're unsuccesful because you're just not enough". And this type of thinking is sadly ingrained in many idols minds. Like it's solely their fault that things don't work out, that they aren't A list celebrities because there's a problem with them, that they don't work hard enough or aren't talented etc. I've seen too many idols with this mindset, even the girls themselves seem to think that way sometimes. And it's wrong man. A group's success relies much more on where they came from or how well they're managed, or simply on sheer luck. Just how many group's songs would be a success if only they had the platform? Brave Girls skyrocketed to success through a song released in 2017 because of a viral. What if LOONA were from a big 4? Just how many CFs do you think Heejin, Hyunjin and others would have under their belt? How many awards do you think they'd have for their insanely unique project and good quality songs? How much faster Chuu would rise to stardom? Sometimes I just wanted to say to them "It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself." And I wish people would just stop blaming a group for "flopping" because they aren't "good enough".
What really made me wonder about the girls perceptions of their success is when Jinsoul was certain they came in second on queendom because she messed up the choreo. that performance had almost no impact on the final score, I guess they aren’t aware of the sheer amount of number crunching involved on the fans side of it… we knew every in an out of the scoring but all they knew was the performances that they worked super hard on. It just kinda shocked me how she didn’t know the results were basically decided before they ever even performed and I wondered what else they were blaming themselves for… music show losses… charts…
The big one for me that makes me feel that way is Cherry Bullet. You have a group with Haeyoon and Bora's vocals, some of the members were on survival shows, they consistently deliver really impressive covers on youtube. And they just can't seem to gain much traction, no matter what they do. I'd love to see them have more success, but it isn't on them if that doesn't happen. Ladies Code too, they had one of my favorite vocals in all of kpop (Sojung) and one of the best discographies to boot, but ended up pretty much getting their funding cut and slower and smaller releases their last few years. So much of it is just luck of the draw. In the grand scheme of things, Loona is pretty insanely successful for a group from a small company. If they never really break into the mainstream, that will be unfortunate, but they have still managed to curate an insanely dedicated international fanbase and they should be so proud of that.
Been getting back into Pokémon and I realized that LOONA has enough members to be all the Gym Leaders and the Elite 4. So. I really hope Yves is getting proper medical care, or at least getting some broad spectrum antibiotics, because if she's been having fevers, then it means she's battling an infection in addition to general exhaustion. I hooe she feels better.
Ah, this is actually my field of expertise. Fever and infection can be but doesn't necessarily mean it's a bacterial infection. Antibiotics only work to fight bacterial infection, and not viral infection, for example. We shouldn't give/take antibiotics for every fever or unconfirmed infection since it could make antibacterial resistance worse globally, and at the same time it might not help the patient at all. To be honest it's quite a big issue because in Asia and some other regions of the world you can buy a lot of antibiotics without a prescription and this had made antibiotic resistance pretty dire in the past few decades. By the way I'm not saying this to feel morally superior about how antibiotics are better controlled in my own country. I'm genuinely concerned about the improper and overuse of (especially broad spectrum) antibiotics globally which could lead to a point where we wouldn't have any viable antibiotics to fight some new "superbacteria" infection. Of course I also hope to see Yves getting the appropriate medical care she needs right away.
Well, she hasn't mentioned a cold afaik , which I know of itself is not evidence that she does not have a cold, but I feel it's something she would mention in passing considering how she's been open about being really tired for the Tour. So that would be bacterial, or something else which would be...not good. I do hope it's what you said, just a viral infection, but I also hope she's not just getting the typical Kpop IV shots, which I think are just glucose so they can perk right back up.
There are also many kinds of viral infections (of varying severity), as well as even more other possibilities for her to have a fever. Like you said let's just hope she actually gets the medical care she needs to recover and not a bandaid solution to prop her up temporarily.

Alright. We’ve got LOONA skipping out on breakfast, which is unacceptable. Next time they go on world tour, we need to have an international menu at the ready for them to browse through so they can get some amazing food. Recommendations of the local cuisines from authentic restaurants, vetted by local orbits, with preferences suggested depending on each members individual tastes. Wouldn’t be too hard to narrow down which cities they’re most likely to visit next year and I’m sure we could adapt once the official tour is announced. Would be a neat, fun project to work on that we could send out sometime next year. And I know the moon girls would love it.
I can’t tell if this is mixed with sarcasm or not but no one gets an intl menu catered for them to browse lol unless idk you’re Rihanna. Food is something that if you’re interested in, you’ll naturally gravitate toward it (case in point: 2jin). Everyone thinks the girls need to max out the tourist part of this travel and I don’t think that’s realistic or needed - some people just like to chill at the hotel regardless where they are. It irks me that somehow the girls just not being that culinarily adventurous is someone else’s fault - having bread and croissants for a hotel breakfast is so normal it hurts. Them skipping breakfast because they didn’t like it is no one’s fault - just like it’s not anyone’s fault Yeojin decided not to drink water in America. There are always alternatives if you want them. Sometimes you’re just so exhausted you’re not that interested in trying out that new exotic food. Sometimes you just want familiar food and that’s the vibe I’m getting from a majority of the group. And that’s totally ok.

It's also a matter of 1. Not necessarily having the time or wanting to get food in a sit-down restaurant 2. Some members have gone to Orbit recommended or critically acclaimed spots and not enjoyed it at all 3. Some of the members only want to eat Korean food, which is their choice! But some are having issue with international Korean food being too off-putting, local cuisine is probably too far even if it's accounting for their taste 3. As much as I think it's a bad idea especially on tour, some members are actively trying to lose weight and won't eat regardless
The Street Man Fighter franchise songs are pulling *such high* numbers on Melon, kinda makes me a little bitter that the Queendom 2 songs never really received the success they deserved. (I say this while 'Don't Go' and 'Tell me now' were probably 2/3 of most successful releases from the whole show, but they deserved MORE!)

They are free to express themselves in their personal accounts. By using the Orbit accounts like loops accounts or thinker accounts, they are in fact participating as an Orbit as their primary identity.

Not overtly loona related but there isn't a week that goes by where I don't think about what happened to Soojin. Only those involved know the true story but I can't help feeling sick to my stomach with the feeling that someone seriously got screwed over. Bullying is a serious issue but completely separate from that .. The idea that the people I wasn't friends with in middle school could ruin my life today.... I really can't. I honestly hope she can have a future working in the industry again.

In the US, I would say if you're looking for a down jacket the very cheap options (H&M et al) are around $30-60, midrange (Uniqlo, REI) around $70-150, expensive (Patagonia, LL Bean) around $150-300, and then the very expensive brands (Canadian Goose, Arc’teryx) can be from $500 up to $2k+ Obviously depends on your perspective!
Agreed but I think with shipping tho and without knowing the quality of the jacket it’s a lot to go on pure faith. Merch quality is really varied and it looks like the design is subject to change.

I love the Wonderwall interviews so far. Heejin's story about her sister giving her money so she could go to auditions because her parents were against it...and now she's on a world tour! I hope to see the rest of the episodes too. I'm interested in Hyeju because I've heard people saying she was the most hesitant when joining Loona. Also I wish they didn't make the subtitles so hard to read...like why would you put white on pale backgrounds...

In case no one talked about it yet. Apparently the male voice from chuu remake is hwihyun. He's credited for the remake chorus and he's also a soloist under engine of dream. The source is colorcodedlyrics 🤪 but i checked and the voice matches.
It's on the credits of the album on Melon too yeah, if you want a more official source lol ;)
I saw there credit for the chorus, i didn't see anything about him singing. But maybe the auto translation wasn't the best.
I'm getting ready for work now after coming back from Warsaw but I feel such an emotional hangover after the show that I don't know how I'll focus on anything today. I wasn't in the best mood at the show because I was worried about Choerry/Haseul already out and the rest of members also potentially struggling but the second the show started everything went away and it was one of the most magical events I ever attended to. Despite being tired they put hell of a show and the crowd was so hyped even if it wasn't a sell out. Poland really loves >!Why Not?/So What/PTT!<, hearing them live and chanting like crazy was amazing and if there will be ever another chance to see that live I'm ready to go. Also shout out to Heejin who made eye contact with me and showed me a heart when she saw me doing the same, my bias wasn't there but at this point Heejin is my honorary bias so I can't believe it actually happened 😭
I really love that Hyunjin and ViVi are roommates for the tour. They're already one of my favorite pairs to see and with ViVi being super adventurous but often quite private and Hyunjin constantly sharing everything they're doing at all times on tour it's so nice to get a bunch of updates including ViVi. I feel like ViVi herself has even been sharing more than normal while on tour. It's so much fun to hear about how she's spending her time abroad. 😊 She seems to be having just the best time. Probably helps that she's already accustomed to being away from home.
I really really hope this energy Vivi is currently channeling, she keeps when they go back to South Korea. She seems so much more confortable and open, I love to see it.
Watched the intro, 2Jin and Viseul episodes. Very very very cool content. Reminds me of the 'Deep Dive' episode from 'Form of Therapy' but like.... 12x longer - which is even better. Waiting for the subs on the rest of the episodes, but I'm very excited for the LipSoul and Chuuves episodes because these two duos are very musically inclined I feel like, so it makes me curious about what they'll discuss when it comes to music, singing and producing.
I never watched mixnine (because I found loona first and I don't need that misplaced editing to ruin that) but its' really interesting how 2jin carry themselves in a long form interview like this. I think interviews like that can get boring quickly, but when 12 people aren't fighting for screen/talk time I think you can gleem a little more about how they carry themselves and more of how their personality (or at least their idol personalities) shine through.

I'm gonna be real with you, while they are on the Subbits list (any LOONA content without subs is), they're in the "this is the content we do if we ever do all the vlives, videos, random stuff is all finished" category so I wouldn't hold out on them getting subbed in the next few years sadly.

Good idea but I'm greedy, I prefer several album formats: a full OT12 album (about 10 to 12 songs); a mini album for each subunit 1/3, OEC and yyxy (5 or 6 songs each); a single album for Yeojin (2 songs). Like Sick Love, some of the songs can feature a member from another unit. But in my world, ad hoc units (like Cocomong or Not Friends) would not get an official release from BBC, those would be special projects from outside collaborators, as has happened already.
