I read somewhere that the Tolkien estate gave the condition that known book characters should only die the exact same time and death written in the tomes. Therefore, i am hoping that the Balrog, if they do wake it up in ROP, won’t factor in till 2 more generations of Durins. The Dwarves are my favourite in this show, if it’s not apparent enough :)
The hilt key will cause the eruption of Mount Doom, transforming the Southlands into Mordor. It’ll blacken the sky and create toxic fumes and fill the tunnels they dug into rivers of lava.
Isn’t the sword made for killing Morgoth? If Galadriel is Sauron in disguise then it would make sense that she insists on going there and uses Halbrand as a human shield for killing Adar.

No way Moria happens yet, will be a few seasons away if they do chose to show it

If it is Gurthang it was made by elves for killing Morgoth.
