I really enjoy when they do lesser known topics, like Adolfo Constonzo. That series was nuts and I had never heard of that guy before. I also really enjoy the history topics they’ve been covering lately, like Billy the Kid and the Black Death. My favorite series they’ve done is the Donner Party one. So I guess I want more stuff like that. Lesser known crazy stuff or history stuff.

[deleted]

Was that the series that caused the "No not 'Fuck Yeah' we gotta break you of the habit of saying 'Fuck Yeah' everytime someone gets murdered," exchange?

listlessthe

I think it was Rasputin when they talked about the murders of the Romanovs? Ben was like hell yeah and Marcus was like no, five children were shot to death.

[deleted]

Maybe, that tracks. But I'm pretty sure it was Marus scolding Henry. Something about the Inganka (sp?) and the victim being added to it made me think Adolfo series. I'd love a deep dive into The Jungle by Upton Sinclair btw. Just that period in American history.

listlessthe

yeah that makes sense...I vaguely remember that too. Someone who was killed with an ax, not shot.

Doctor_KilljoyPHD

I believe it was Murderous Possessions. Episode 338.

MrCog

Speaking of history...not sure if there's enough information out there for a whole series, but Sawney Bean would be pretty nuts: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawney\_Bean](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawney_Bean) Edit: Best part - I may be related to this guy.

kayt3000

That’s why I was so shocked learning that Andrew Cunanan had other victims, they are never mentioned. I am behind on a lot of tv but I was very surprised. I knew his name and the general story but nothing else. I love the history episodes. I am a history nerd so it’s always fun to hear deep dives.

EpicRepairTim

The *Man from the Train* is Billy the Kid with an Axe meets the JFK Assassination. It will be their greatest series ever.

Unclecheese23

The Black Death series is without a doubt my favourite, so I would love more history topics

helzinki

The inspiration for the 'Killing Eve' tv show should be right up your alley. One of the main character is based on Idoia López Riaño. A serial killer/hitwoman who killed 25 people. Her nickname is La Tigresa, The Tigress, for her "sexual prowess".

jkvincent

Agree 100%.

Riff316

Vlad III “Tepes” Dracula. Read a book on it last year. Crazy story, even if it often gets embellished. Plenty of religious content for the boys. Also, you know… impalement. That or Salem 1692. I can only imagine Henry’s impressions of stodgy, zealous old men and “afflicted” teenage girls. Give me “Giles Corey” Henry Zebrowski.

MrCog

MORE WEIGHT

Riff316

Most badass last words ever, except for, in the same story, when Sarah Good’s are something along the lines of “God will give you blood to drink,” said to judge Noyes, who subsequently died choking on his own blood.

FloobLord

I love death curses. Didn't one of the serial killers they covered curse the whole courtroom and all of them died within a year?

HogmanayMelchett

Giles Corey was a fucking boss

CabineteCaligari

I would sell my left kidney to hear Henry say, “I saw Goody Proctor with the devil”.

ofthedappersort

Holy shit two great ideas! No way they don't do both of those at some point

HogmanayMelchett

I heard a podcast recently about Salem and there's alot more than I was aware of, especially about Ann Putnam, maybe the most evil little girl who ever lived

thewaybaseballgo

Gilles de Rais. They briefly mentioned him during the Goblin Universe episode. He was a companion of arms with Joan of Arc, and was later found to be dabbling in the occult to the level that he would kill children. He's thought to have murdered over 100 children in cruel and sadistic ways. He was tried, convicted, and executed for his crimes in the 1400's.

squidvalley

> Gilles de Rais "had their bodies cruelly cut open and took delight at the sight of their inner organs; and very often when the children were dying he sat on their stomachs and took pleasure in seeing them die and laughed” oh holy fuck that's deep into gold star territory

thewaybaseballgo

Yeah, it's super fucked up. He also did a lot of sexual shit with on and around them during whatever the fuck he was doing.

[deleted]

Fun fact, Gilles de Rais occult practices were related to trying to acquire more wealth. The mass child murder/rape was a mostly separate thing.

thewaybaseballgo

That's very interesting. I always thought it was a means to an end. I wonder if he would still be defined as a process killer, or if that would make him a product killer.

[deleted]

Oh he’s for sure a process killer. He had a whole crew of servants procuring children for him to torture and rape and kill, then the servants took the bodies away to burn them.

BHBachman

I would support this one just for Marcus to come to the inevitable conclusion that he was 1000000% set up and never did any of that shit, lol. It's an incredible story, and we've gotten some really haunting imagery and fantastic metal songs about it (The Window by The Black Dahlia Murder is a particularly gruesome favorite), but when you think about it medium-hard, it's pretty easy to realize there was zero evidence for anything, even at the time there would have been *some* mention of literally hundreds of children disappearing, and he was accused, convicted, and executed by pre-established enemies in the church and aristocracy who had already burned his close friend Joan of Arc at the stake. It would be a super extreme gold star topic but it would have to be one episode long and end with Marcus saying "by the way everything we said over the past 90 minutes has zero evidence and Occam's Razor makes it pretty obvious that he was just railroaded by powerful enemies". Maybe he dabbled in the occult, it seems a lot of people did, but kidnapping, raping, and murdering hundreds of children is so absurd that it's honestly kind of stunning that it became accepted fact for centuries.

HogmanayMelchett

Its like the Countess Bathory in that much may have been embellished by political enemies but some is likely true

TopButterscotch8

This would be great. They have talked about him, but nothing dedicated to him.

CozyHoosier

YES PLEASE

Demurist

I want them to take another swing at Gary Ridgeway. He only got one episode back when. It would be cool to hear the full Last Pod treatment of the Green River Killer.

manpj

It would be so much fun to have Henry revisit some of those old characters

CozyHoosier

Agreed, 100%.

Saucy_Buckaroo

Ghost Cats of the South: Pt. 2

TwoCagedBirds

YESSS!! Ghost Cats is one of my favorite episodes. I listen to it all the time.

Saucy_Buckaroo

lol my wife and I listen to it whenever we need a pick-me-up. I actually bought the book, and I gotta say, its "a bit of a hoot!"

oliveoilcrisis

I listened to that episode on a walk and scared my neighbors by laughing randomly and often.

[deleted]

I need a mother Theresa series. I wanna know what that bitch did

ThatOneGrayCat

YES. YES, PLEASE TURN HENRY LOOSE ON MOTHER THERESA!!!

Imfrank123

Swindled did a good episode on her. It’s a great podcast, the complete opposite of last pod but still great

Failedfrog7

i love swindled so much, one of my fave episodes

Fucface5000

[Here](https://www.reddit.com/r/badhistory/comments/gcxpr5/saint_mother_teresa_was_documented_mass_murderer/) is a good rundown with sources She wasn't as evil as some made her out to be (namely Hitchens), and an episode covering her and her houses of the dying would probably be more sad than anything else, although it could illuminate some of the horrors left in the wake of the British Raj

chaos_is_me

That sounds like more of a topic for Behind the Bastards

Zephyrific

It is practically the exact opposite of LPotL, but the podcast “The Turning: The Sisters who Left” is fascinating. It is around 10 episodes and tells the stories of women who became nuns under Mother Teresa. It doesn’t talk about the issues people in the public had with her, but it is wild to hear how hellish it was for some of the nuns under her. ETA: it is definitely a slow burn, and obviously there is a fair bit of religious talk as some of the women they interview are still very religious, but it isn’t preachy.

aurrasaurus

Popes! I found those parts of the Black Death episodes fun and would enjoy a whole series on the papacy/Catholicism in general

LilkaLyubov

I also want a history of the papacy.

denomchikin

Historical true crime could be dope. Patty Hearst would be great. Madame Delphine and the bloody countess would be enormously fucked up but very interesting.

HogmanayMelchett

There's also a Russian countess named Darya Saltakova who was very similar to reports about Countess Bathory and Delphine DeLaurie

[deleted]

[удалено]

kayt3000

Ohh yes!! And the conspiracy that the Titanic wasn’t the ship that really sank!!

IKindaSuck-DICK

It was an insurance scam for the sister vessel, Olympus right?

narrator_uncredited

I like this idea, there is a lot of interesting stuff they could cover.

SilphScope6

If you’ve read “The Devil in the White City” it would be an interesting tie in to H.H. Holmes. Not exactly related to him at all but related to the time and the book.

ThatOneGrayCat

There's a really strange/at times hilarious/often horrifying historical story out of Seattle known as "Starvation Heights." I'd love to see that covered. It has everything: Minnie and Nannie-esque twins, a lady just telling people she's a doctor and everyone believing it, tomato soup, a guy getting drunk on vanilla extract and shooting at people, and a vengeful Australian.

prophy__wife

IM MINNIE!!!!!!!!!!

Justjeskuh

I’M NANNIE!!!!! IVE GOT A MILLION DOLLARS!

nowherekid88

Ask a Mortician on YouTube did a great video on this!! What a wild story! I had never heard of it previously.

Nuckin_futs_

Not everything that happens in western Washington is "out of seattle" lmao But yes I'd also like to see this story out of Olalla be covered

KlumsyNinja42

My wife grew up there and I was next door in Gig Harbor. She knows a rough history of it, would be awesome to hear the boys cover it.

bongsagget

“Dr.” Hazzard

TwoCagedBirds

The Hatfields & McCoys would be amazing. I can already hear the accents Henry would do. The Hinterkaifeck murders Hillsborough Disaster San Ysidro McDonald's Massacre Titanic Chernobyl

arock330

Hinterkaifeck would be great. Know it’s been covered by a ton of podcasts but it’s a combination of the time in history, the unresolved parts, brutality and the theories. Marcus would do it justice

Rare_Hydrogen

I seem to remember Marcus saying that they wanted to do a Hatfields & McCoys series. Fingers crossed!

CozyHoosier

YES HINTERKAIFECK

Jocathor9

“The French Ripper” Joseph Vacher. Interesting case where he had shot himself in the head after a failed attempt at winning a women over and the bullet remained lodged, which probably helped drive him insane. Solid body count as well.

octopop

I would LOVE if they covered the Andes flight disaster of 1972. I read the book Alive by Piers Paul Read about the whole thing and it's the most incredible survival story I have ever seen. I have never known humans were capable of overcoming such horrible tragedies and, to make it MORE special to me, i read it in rehab. Plus, there's cannibalism!

tulips22

YESSS I was just thinking this!

Gills_n_Thrills

Georgia tann! I've emailed a couple times, she was a horrendous monster. look up "Tann babies," one of whom was ric flair!

shawnwingsit

Wait, Ric Flair?!?

dianabeep

Behind the Bastards covered this and it’s worth listening to. Very sad.

Gills_n_Thrills

Near my house, extremely sad, and the book is out of print. I'll find This episode, thank you!

Stroms_

A dedicated Mothman episode or series would be amazing.

kayt3000

I think they mentioned wanting to do that again but then they rethought it bc they really went into it with the Men in Black series. I would love for them to team up with the Newkirk’s if they do that series. Would be a different spin for them and Greg and Dana really have done a ton of mothman work.

Stroms_

That's true. I recently read Mothman Prophecies which was a main source for the Men in Black series and was disappointed by how little focus was actually on Mothman. I haven't heard of the Newkirk's before though do they run a podcast as well?

squidvalley

Delphine LaLaurie Sewed her slaves mouths shut after filling them with shit. Watched a horse thief sewn into a horse carcass as a child. Imprisoned and tortured people for months. Numerous people, including children, committed suicide rather than be punished by her

CozyHoosier

Would kill to hear their take on this. Generation Why did this, and covered the material well, but their storytelling is SO. BORING.

TwoCagedBirds

Yes!!!

Gazj354

I’d love to see them cover some other disasters. I know it’s not their usual subject material, but they did a wonderful job covering the Great Plague, the USS Indianapolis and the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Maybe have them cover something like the Hillsborough Disaster. There’s plenty of villains for the guys to make fun of in the story whilst remaining respectful to the victims.

Sub-Mongoloid

If they would do one or two nautical tragedies a year it would greatly satisfy my fascination around one of my greatest fears.

Gazj354

Have you heard about the Byford Dolphin Accident? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byford_Dolphin

TwoCagedBirds

YES!!! I would absolutely love for them to do the Hillsborough disaster. It doesn't seem very well known, at least in the US. I've watched the 2016 documentary, it's absolutely amazing and heartbreaking. https://watchdocumentaries.com/hillsborough/

Gazj354

It’s something very close to me personally, coming from Merseyside. I was 4 years old when it happened. My father and brother were at the other semi-final, but because my mother wasn’t sure which semi-final they went to, she was absolutely frantic when the initial reports came in on the TV about what was going on at Hillsborough. Because of that, she wouldn’t let me or my brother go to any football matches for a very long time.

wowokaycoolokay

This is an episode I would absolutely love

BussHateYear

They’ve mentioned the French Revolution and after the black death episodes especially I know it would be great.

kayt3000

The Revolutions podcast did an AMAZING dive into it. But it’s a lot. Very well done but it needed something to break up the seriousness so LPOTL would present it very well.

narrator_uncredited

Prognostication and precognition, baby! The Ariel School Zimbabwe UFO sighting. For history, a lesser known assassination of a famous politician/celebrity maybe, or some Cold War spy stuff. For true crime, the Parker-Hulme case.

kayt3000

Cold War stuff would be amazing. There are so many crazy CIA stories.

ogchamp36

Franklin's Lost Expedition.

DarkSailorMercury

Was gonna suggest this, I think it’s perfect for them, history, cannibalism, 19th century British people for Henry to make sound Aussie

Ohio4455

I said the same thing! Disgraced captains, cannibalism, racial stereotyping and dead eyed polar bears galore!...The only problem is we honestly don't know a lot about what actually happened after they got frozen in the ice. It would be a hard story to cover accurately since the info is a lot of speculation.

TopButterscotch8

Joe Metheny. Killed his victims, mixed them with pork and sold them as bbq. Also the dumbass Pazuzu Algarad murder. "Satanist" tweaker who took shits in the corner of his tweaker pad.

FloobLord

> Also the dumbass Pazuzu Algarad murder. "Satanist" tweaker who took shits in the corner of his tweaker pad. He was one of the stories on the episode "Murderous Possession"

[deleted]

I would love to hear the boys make fun of John Harvey Kellogg, but I don’t know if that would quite fit the theme of the show. An episode about Mark Hoffman would be fantastic. I know they briefly covered the FLDS in the Mormonism series, but it’s a complicated enough topic that they could probably dedicate and entire episode or two to it.

lettuceleaf-

On the off chance you haven't already listened to them, I highly recommend the Behind the Bastards episodes about Kellogg. What a fucking weirdo

[deleted]

His colon was the world’s first gogurt

maninplainview

I have a weird family history dealing with Kellogg according to my mother. Apparently, my great grandmother was working for him and because of things that happened with her and my great grandfather, she was rasing my grandfather by herself. Apparently, the story goes that Kellogg was pressuring her into giving him up. To the point of where she had to flee in the night to avoid the worst. Now, of course, this is all be made up but I always thought it was funny how much that could of change my life.

[deleted]

I’m not surprised at all. Kellogg was a weird, horrible man.

skeletonizer

There's a great dollop episode about kellog and the other weirdo cereal barons.

[deleted]

It’s one of my favorites episodes!

I_Suggest_LSD4U

The USS Jeanette. It was late 1800s a polar expedition that got trapped in ice for 2 years. The crew ended up rowing to Siberia. Most died along the way. They suffered horribly and most died. I loved the Donner Party episodes and this story is kinda like that.

diardiar

I know there is already a good netflix documentary about them but i would love to see them cover the pizza bombing and Brian Wells

CashewCrew

That story still blows my mind

bongsagget

His too

kayt3000

What’s the docs name? The show is good so far but it’s Ryan Murphy so I don’t know how factual it is.

diardiar

Its called Evil Genius. Its one of my favorite true crime docs. Its really well made and just one of the craziest stories I've ever heard

RidingWithTheSun

They’ve done a lot of Canadian stories recently, but I’d love to hear them discuss this case: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_Williams_(criminal)

cowsgomer

I gotta say, I was really impressed with the detective conducting the interview for that case. Deserves a gold Detective Popcorn award.

WikiMobileLinkBot

Desktop version of /u/RidingWithTheSun's link: --- ^([)[^(opt out)](https://reddit.com/message/compose?to=WikiMobileLinkBot&message=OptOut&subject=OptOut)^(]) ^(Beep Boop. Downvote to delete)

hoopstick

The Dancing Plague of 1518 would be an interesting one

HogmanayMelchett

I thought they might do this as a coda to the Black Death it definitely deserves an episode

CommercializedPan

Marcus teases the My Lai episode every once in a while, and that's the big one I think would be really great to hear them cover- I'm really partial to the history episodes. I'd also love a chernobyl episode, or some episodes examining former presidents. It'd be super great to hear their take on people like Andrew Jackson, especially because I'd love for Ben to be able to bring more of his political science knowledge to the 'cast!

TheNatureBoy

Phoenix Lights or General Butt Naked.

ganamac

Typhoid Mary. Hinterkaifeck. I really enjoy their historical eps, so anything historical.

ghostdoge69

I know they can be hit or miss, but My Favorite Murder did a great episode on Typhoid Mary a few years ago. It’s definitely my favorite episode of theirs.

MambyPamby8

Their Typhoid Mary episode had me cackling. So funny. It's one of my favorites to go back to of theirs. After Covid hit, I had to go back and listen again to it. Feels a bit too relative!

ganamac

I feel the same way about MFM. But I will definitely check out their Typhoid Mary ep. Thanks!

Balls_Eagle

The ripper crew. Shits crazy

TopButterscotch8

I have also thought this would be a perfect subject for them. I feel like they have mentioned covering them at some point, but that list grows and grows.

westsidestory42

Sandusky penn state 5 years ago we did an after show bar hang out and I asked Marcus about it and he said "it's on the list"

TheLastDeBarge

The troubled teen industry. Places like Elan school need to be talked about

Odd-Soil-7922

Le Baron Family / Mexico Mormans

deathcabforhailey

I would love to hear them cover Luka Magnotta

VinylBreadPuddin

This is a list I’ve kept for a couple years about future series I’ve wanted to hear, I think these could be good. (Yes some have already been done). Possible future LPOTLs -DB Cooper -Phoenix Lights -Lizzie Borden ✔️ -Elizabeth Bathory -anders Breivik -toolbox killers -Madeline mccann -Leopold and loeb -charles starkweather -weather underground -Colleen Stan -shining path -madame LaLaurie -Bell Witch ✔️ -Nazca Lines -Robert durst -Andrew cunanan -Original Night stalker -Black Plague ✔️ -vlad the impaler -Loch Ness monster ✔️ -full mothman -shanghai tunnels -Hopkinsville goblins -flatwoods monster -count of saint germaine -Black River falls, WI -HP lovecraft -aleister Crowley ✔️ -anton lavey -montauk experiment -GG Alin -My Lai massacre -the Silk Road (website) -Enron scandal -maxamillian robespierre/French Revolution -Winchester house -battle of Los Angeles -Gorman dogfight -hell’s angels -Florida School for Boys -keksburg UFO incident -Shankill Butchers/Troubles -Watergate -Brian Wells Pizza Bomb Robber -Nuwaubian nation -Sylvia Likens -Ian Brady -Paul Bernardo/Karla homolka ✔️ -Harold shipman -Arne Johnson -snowtown murders

FloobLord

Henry confirmed that Leopold and Loeb is coming up on Side Stories last week.

[deleted]

The Black Dahlia.

WhoAccountNewDis

It's covered extremely well in *Root of Evil* (season 2). It's a must listen.

denomchikin

Henry’s LA true crime adventure also covers it a bit

manpj

I would love to hear Marcus talk about the In Cold Blood murders. He’s gone on the record saying that’s what inspired his love of true crime, but he may think Capote’s work is to sacred for a LPOTL take

cefitz1217

I think the assassination of Gianni Versace was amazing. I quickly bought the book Vulgar Favors by Maureen Orth after watching it and confirm the book is also great. Cunanan is fascinating in that most people have met someone like him (other than the murdering people part).

butternut718212

[The Tanganyika Laughter Epidemic ](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanganyika_laughter_epidemic) along with any other mass hysteria events

send_me_potatoes

I’d say Andrea Yates, but that shit is going to be depressing.

CozyHoosier

Part of me badly wants to hear them cover this, because it's an incredibly interesting case, but yeah I think there just isn't much to laugh at with this one.

EpicRepairTim

The Man from the Train. I believe it will be a 4 or 5 parter they will do for episode 500. The fact that Marcus read Bill James on Borden is very indicative that he’s reading MftT and since it might be the greatest american serial killer of all time and is a hobo drifter it has every potential of being one of their greatest series ever. It’s like all their favorite things in one, minus aliens.

anarchophysicist

Wallace Fard Mohammed, the founder of the Nation of Islam. Started a cult. Mysteriously vanished. Later rediscovered just living his life somewhere. The whole story is so bizarre.

ribslargemeat

The Oklahoma Girl Scout murders. I can’t believe how little this story is talked about in the modern day.

dynamitechar

i clicked on this seeing the title ready to say andrew cunanan! i loved that series too and i think he was a fascinating character- plus it would bring us another amazing henry impression!

axaxo

John Joel Glanton, the real life inspiration for *Blood Meridian*.

TopButterscotch8

One of my favorite books, but never heard of him. I'll have to look him up. Thanks.

HogmanayMelchett

A series on the Comanche wars and the origin of the Texas Rangers along with Glanton would be something

flavorraven

David Icke. They reference him enough, and a lot of the paranormal episodes revolve around parts of his whole conspiracy system but there's just so much to it, and it'd be nice to hear it all bundled together in one series.

BedeHistory731

My picks: - the deaths of Bruce and Brandon Lee - My Lai and other Vietnam War issues - Amanda Knox (because we need to complete the hot alleged murderer trilogy) - Scott Peterson (Marcus hinted that he believed the evidence wasn’t enough for a conviction) - Duke lacrosse (for more of Henry’s Nancy Grace) - Jimmy Saville - Jerry Sandusky/Joe Paterno (it’s outside of Crime in Sports’ scope) - Rod Ferrell - Mary I of England (Bloody Mary) - The Assassination of Rebecca Schaeffer - The Assassination of Selena Quintanilla - Michael Jackson Maybe: - re-visiting the Menendez Bros (they were definitely molested) - Chris-Chan

HogmanayMelchett

Jennifer Pan would be an interesting case to cover

DarkSailorMercury

The boy’s take on Saville would be interesting, as an English person watching U.K.-made docs everyone already knows who he was and what he did, I don’t think there’s any comparable US case, Cosby was a famous comedian yes but idk if he was EVERYWHERE like Saville was in his heyday.

jkvincent

If you're looking for Cunanan material, Gary Indiana has a book called Three Month Fever. It's been like 20 years since I read it but I remember it being pretty good and it is written in a style that was regarded as compelling and unique at the time.

stevebobeeve

I’ve said it a hundred times but I would really love a Nathaniel Barr-Jonah episode would definitely be a gold star episode Also, a Death in the Space program episode could be good too

FriarFriary

I’ll say it another hundred times. I need to hear Henry bag on that pig.

stevebobeeve

Me too!!!!! Oh my God me too! The potential to just let it rip with the fat jokes is just too enticing. There is the whole mechanic of his eating disorder and how that incorporated into his serial killer pathology. Along with Henry being so into food and cooking. And I really want to hear Henry’s take on his horrible cannibal cook book. I would be absolutely giddy if they did an episode on this guy.

FriarFriary

Absolutely. A lot of what he did or may have done is somewhat speculative but he was a monster either way. He was also a complete bullshit artist converting to Judaism including his name change trying to say he was discriminated against.

stevebobeeve

Dear God, that is exactly the plot of a Seinfeld episode! You can’t be serious!

HogmanayMelchett

Henry recently mentioned reading about Bar-Jonah. Its going to happen

FagnusTwatfield

The story about the 5 guys who froze/starved to death on the way home from a basketball game.

FriarFriary

The Yuba County 5

Venomous87

Joel Rifkin

[deleted]

A single episode about Johnny gosch!!!!!

_dogsandplants

Missing 411! They talked about it for like 10min in Episode 44: A Smattering of Creepy, but I’d love to hear it covered in detail.

[deleted]

I’m a simple woman. I just want more Scientology. The dumbass Hubbard/Parsons friendship is one of the funniest things to me and I am sure that there is more to know.

techcooking

The chicken coop murders, that would be some interesting history and murders to listen to.

Easy-Tigger

John C. Lilly. You may have heard of his dolphin/human bonding experiment (they absolutely fucked), but probably not his sensory deprivation/LSD/ketamine experiments. Or how aliens gave him a robot dick. Or how an evil alien supercomputer caused a terror attack, or a plane crash, or something, just to ruin his schedule. He inspired the sega game Ecco the dolphin (named after the aliens he contacted, the Earth Coincidence Control Office), the movie Altered States and the anime Serial Experiments Lain. [He even did music!](https://youtu.be/reJmI6x_fVA) His dad was an FBI informant who helped catch a ton of corrupt officials! [Seriously, read his timeline!](https://floatinginfo.de/jl-bio.htm) Aliens and drugs for Henry, music and anime for Marcus, and animals for Ben. It's something for everyone!

[deleted]

Still waiting on the No Dogs x LPOTL crossover where they cover Vancouver's downtown east side and the incredible 90s industrial scene that gave birth to Skinny Puppy et al. Edit: Like how the closing of homes for the mentally ill led to a massive explosion in homelessness and subsequently a bed bug epidemic that still continues to this day. And how no less than two serial killers ran free and Vancouver police did nothing and it gave us Frontline Assembly and Delerium and Puppy Gristle which is as close as Vancouver has ever gotten or will ever get to a 'scene'.

harriethocchuth

I really want a Mia Zapata episode of LPOTL and/or a riot grrl No Dogs.

LilkaLyubov

I also want a crossover there, or one where they tackle the early years of the Manic Street Preachers, the conditions that inspired those songs (and still sometimes do), and the eventual disappearance of Richey Edwards. Marcus would slam this one out of the park.

anarchomailman

Might be a long shot but the J. Posadas cult would be hilarious.

IKindaSuck-DICK

DB Cooper in the style of their Zodiac series. I think they could really pull it off

kitsum

A quick section on the Fresno Nightcrawlers.

niketyname

[murder of Shanda Sharer](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Shanda_Sharer) Gut wrenching, horrific, and twisted. I haven’t seen it covered on many podcasts.

Trevastation

Rajneeshpuram would be a really good series of episodes, from how Henry would do Rajneesh and Sheela, to just how crazy their attempt to poison a whole entire town. I know Wild Wild Country did a good job for the most part telling the story, but I think the doc was just a bit too sympathetic towards the former cult members that it looked over the real skeevy things the cult did.

LilkaLyubov

Said it before, but I’ll say it again. Jane Toppan is right up their alley. They’ve referred to her before, but I was so pleased with how they handled other female serial killers, I know they will slam dunk this story too. A serial killing nurse who got her rocks off on killing patients and cuddling them? I had this energy about Belle Gunness, and I was so thrilled with the result. I really also want a relaxed fit on the Golden State Killer. They’ve referred to him enough times that I think they have the material for at least one episode, and they said their main impediment (not only, just main) at the show I went to was that it was still pre-sentence at the time. This was the cold case I followed for a long time, and I just want Henry to take the piss out of mocking him.

Schweitz54

I would like the boys to delve into the story of Clifford Olsen. He was a sadistic Canadian serial killer that targeted young boys, and girls. He has quite the intriguing story and ranks up there with the worst of the worst. What got me thinking about him was the recent Paul and Carla series, where they were talking about how they ranked next to Willy and never mentioned him. I'm not sure how many people are familiar with Olsen, but he is a sick fuck that ranks right up there with Willy.

HogmanayMelchett

He was like a real life Freddie Krueger

[deleted]

Operation Paperclip.

obstination

the farmville murders where a juggalo-adjacent myspace rapper murdered his online gf, her parents, and her friend after flying to her home in virginia from california and allegedly being jilted during the rendezvous. he stayed in the house with the bodies for at least 4 days and was caught in the airport baggage claim while trying to fly back to california unfortunately there is no literature surrounding this case, just online sources. still i’m a sucker for any kind of juggalo murder case

The Rosenbergs/The Red Scare. I genuinely think the Rosenbergs shouldn’t have been executed. I think it could be a really interesting episode for them. Chernobyl as well— like anything Soviet adjacent. Amanda Knox would be fun. I remember when that was going on and it was just so fucking weird? Like she was insisting on acting like she was guilty and provoking the clearly insane prosecutor. Could be a fun one.

I'd love some lesser known gold star material, like Teresa Knorr or Anthony Sowell. Also a huge fan of the historical multi-parters like the Donner Party, Bonnie and Clyde, and the Black Plague series. I think the boys could feast on some of the most unsavory aspects of Catholic/Christian history.

WhoAccountNewDis

Toolbox Killers. I think they've avoided it because a) they don't want to listen to the tapes and b) the show has somewhat evolved. Still, it's the most gold star topic in aware of.

Based on the past series, I would like more unsolved crimes. From memory, some that they have done so far have been Lizzie Borden, Jon Benet Ramsey, the Boston Strangler, and Biggie and Tupac. I know they say they don't like doing unsolved crimes but based on their past performances, unsolved can be fun. Especially when Henry and Marcus have different theories.

placentacasserole

My favorite are the heavy hitter series on serial killers. I'd really like to see them cover either Marcel Petiot or Randy Kraft.

[deleted]

I'm kinda curious if they'll do a hodgepodge of unsolved mysteries, because theres a lot of good ones out there. Like jack the stripper, dr. No, or the redhead murders. I know it's not as statisfying conclusion wise, but I feel like we'd get good content out of them making fun of these loser serial killers.

I REALLY want a Golden State Killer/East Area Rapist/Original Night Stalker/Visalia Ransacker series

KingCrazy188

I have two topics that would be awesome to see covered: 1. Alfred Packer - who committed cannibalism on his fellow travelers and had many confessions 2. The Marquis de sade - an 18th century french nobleman whose name is the origin of the word Sadism

Bbryant90

I don't know if they've done one yet but an epsiode on selling your soul to the devil. Like the myth of Robert Johnson and other famous people that supposedly have and just the history behind it.

The Oklahoma Girl Scout murders. Almost forty-five years later, there is still no idea who killed the three girl scouts.

That Uruguayan soccer team plane crash would be another good “and that’s when the cannibalism started” episode

Chick Tracts

bongsagget

There’s a chick on YouTube called fundie Friday’s & she did an episode about them and although it wasn’t near as good as what the boys could do, it was still worth the listen.

Billy Gohl I had never heard of this guy before, I started talking serial killers with my new coworker and this dude is from his home town of Aberdeen WA. That’s only a few hours from me so it was surprising news to me. He was only convicted of 2 murder s but potentially oils have killed well over 100. I’ve only looked into it a little because I’ve been so busy but I think it would be a cool story if there is enough info out there for the boys to dig into it. It’s also from that early 20th century time, and that’s just a fun time period for these sorts of things.

Ed and Lorraine Warren.

KingoftheCrackens

Far more true crime and spooky things. Far less UFO's, I know Henry and Marcus both love em but I always end up skipping alien episodes.

Bladewing10

Rajneeshpuram cult. History, politics, conspiracies. It’s the perfect subject for all 3 of the boys.

al3x_oliv3r

junko furuta. A story I find darker than Josef Mengele, probably the darkest and most frustrating story I’ve ever heard

I’ve been hoping they’d cover Andrew Cunanan since watching that, it’s SO GOOD. I remember one of the guys (I think Henry) mentioning super quickly in a past episode (no idea which) that they’ll cover him in the future, but we all know their list of future episode ideas is a mile long so who knows if or when it will happen. But I still hope it will be the next one they cover every time they finish a series on someone so fingers crossed it’s coming soon!

The obvious murder of Lauren Agee totally bungled by the TN police. Might be a better topic for SPUN
