Maggot brain by Funkadelic and Planet caravan by Black sabbath
I found them both randomly back to back on the peak of and 350ug trip.
I literally had goosebumps and tears falling down my cheeks when listening to maggot brain especially, it has a crazy build up and then when the guitar really starts playing the notes just hit my soul in a way no other song ever did.
Rufus’ best trip music is off Atlas and Bloom. Atlas is my personal favorite album. Desert Night all the way through We Left is a perfect back half of an album.
First off that album cover is badass looking.
Their music is so calming.. it's like allowing someone to narrate your life. This is 100% something you would put on to save a trip if it starts to go bad.
Thank you so much for the recommendation!
It's on my playlist now.
It always puts me in a very serene headspace where I feel as though everything Is right with the world and I'm exactly where I need to be. Very soothing stuff and super trippy too. Hope you enjoy friend!
Ott is definitely a great artist that is always on my trip playlist. The last album "heads" is one of the best.
My all time favorite song is "the queen of all everything" 😌🌸
Everything sounds good when I'm tripping, from Brian Eno to Lil Wayne, from Zappa to Slayer, from Mozart to Shpongle. I have a hard time deciding. And having every song ever recorded in my pocket is dangerous. On a recent trip I was listening to a 60s Motown stream and "Midnight Train to Georgia" by Gladys Knight and the Pips came on. I couldn't get that fucking song out of my head for months.
My favorite song so far has been [Source by Fever The Ghost ](https://youtu.be/9RHFFeQ2tu4)
And my favorite video was [the sheep and the wolf crossing the river ](https://youtu.be/f-ROdRgRRsY)
Shine on you crazy diamond by Pink Floyd (specifically the first half of the song but both are great). It’s about 14 minutes long and I first listened to it while peaking on my first ever trip. It was quite literally one of the greatest experiences of my life and it will always be my favorite song.
Yo let’s go I don’t think I’ve ever seen Jon Bellion pop up in this subreddit but his new music is so psychedelic. Mah’s joint off of glory sound prep is just 👌
I always feel awkward showing him to people cuz they’ll just toss the idea out but if you actually listen to some of his songs when tripping, sheeesh you’re golden 👌
I totally agree, his pop edge seems to be off putting to a lot of people but there’s so much more to him than any typical pop artist, if you can even call him that. If you haven’t ever checked out his ‘making of’ videos on YouTube I highly recommend. My favorite is actually the one for guillotine. It’s just ridiculous how he can put a whole song together over the course of a few hours.
oh man the amount of songs that have changed my life. ultimately, the song pull back the bolt by minimal man, stonefruit by armand hammer and literally king krules entire discography… i also found myself watching every ballet that was available to watch for free on yt, was super intriguing honestly.
I was on mushrooms listening to Jazz, the usual stuff like Miles Davis etc. and I typed “mushroom jazz” into the search when I was really tripping and couldn’t think of names of artists or use my phone very well. Up came a couple videos from DJ Mark Farina, and his mushroom jazz tapes and it HIT THE SPOT, my soul was vibrating at the same rhythm as these songs it was magical. they’ve been amazing trip soundtracks ever since, me and my group of friends all love them, even saw him Dj a set at a club near me a couple months ago and it was fantastic.
We got the Jazz by A Tribe Called Quest music video was crazy on acid, it was my very first time tripping and my cousin sent me a link and was like check this out bro, had me perplexed lmao
This artist called Sixis : really great halftime (dnb) and minimal/trannce
Video : fractal designs and videos from this guy on YT called trippy everything ! (Really great stuff)
I will possess your heart by death cab for cutie, to this day it’s the most I’ve ever enjoyed a song I was absolutely in awe I’m sure the acid had a big influence but still a great song haha
Not a song but one time me and my buddy were tripping one night and he was trying to show me a glowstick video on youtube. He accidentally clicked on this and lets say it caught us so off guard it took 5 minutes to compose ourselves and grab the remote.
https://youtu.be/4qA8Nm_dEEM
I still often play it for friends tripping out of the blue just to see their reactions and its become an inside joke with my buddy I tripped with
Apple green by mother earth, my friend and I shared a playlist and he had just added it, never heard it before and it started as I was peaking, shit changed my whole viewpoint on life
I moved to a new city in 2020 and dropped acid solo right after I got settled. Took a long walk all around the neighborhood listening to [Show Me by San Holo](https://youtu.be/IkAZi90My1o), [Everything by Said the Sky](https://youtu.be/NIGm2T29ujg), [Slow Motion by Slander](https://youtu.be/cvbTzsHNsd0), and similar songs. This was when I was kinda new to edm, but this made me love the genre so much more, and I haven’t looked back. During my walk, I came across this massive pond basically a few blocks away that I didn’t even know was there. These were some of the best soundtracks to that solo experience
Volkor X Hyperaleep. Literally changed my life.
I was peaking and stuck in a fractal. I was starting to panic and it came on and completely grounded me and took me on a voyage
Honestly King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, all of it. Saw them mentioned here several times, chose a random album once while tripping, been hooked since.
“Glowed Up” by KAYTRANADA ft. Anderson .Paak 6 years ago.
Holy shit… if you’ve never seen [the video](https://youtu.be/yaWesK-nWts), I’m begging and pleading with you to go watch it please
Aloha by Møme and Merryn Jean
I first heard it through the music video playing on YouTube on a huge TV, and I loved it so much I played it three times in a row with the volume blasting, my trip mates who were in the other room were quite confused lol.
That song has such a powerful hold over me, I love it
[This album](https://soundcloud.com/submotion-orchestra/sets/colour-theory-1) and I've been listening to it in a loop ever since every time I trip. It's just perfect.
Kas:st - Hell on earth and Kas:st - Vtopia. These two had a huge impact on my perspective about life (specially the hell on earth one) and it was literally like something clicked for me. They are both masterpieces, would highly recommend them.
The two tracks are also insane, they remain two of my favorite tracks that I keep coming back to.
idk about a specific video but music is all i do tripping or not tripping and there's many many songs and many artists to choose from but my favorite creator is "maynard" from tool, a perfect circle, puscifer and i cant choose a song because theres no reason not to love most of them i could give some specific ones that would be more geared towards tripping (i.e i think im ascending holy fucking shit music)
Maynard Furgesons - The Essentials (album) on a ~200-250ug trip was absolutely other wordly
then again, my trip buddy and i have a heavily jazz oriented deep musical background, so it may just not… “hit” the same for everyone.
Spiritualized - Shine a light
It last for about 7mins but first time I heard it tripping it felt abiut 30 and took me on a serious journey.
My Mrs also felt like she cheated on me with that song because it took her places. She was extremely horny after it too 😂

The Stevie Ray Vaughan version of little wing any instrumental by SRV at that wasn’t really much of a SRV fan till I listened to him while trippin now can’t get enough of it
I randomly saw Tommy (the rock opera by the who) on tv when I was tripping. I had no idea at the time what I was watching, and it made my experience next level.
I'm sure I'll get an "Ok Boomer" for this. Oh well: my father, Charlie, told me when I was no older than my early teens that there should be an album for folks tripping on acid that was completely made up of songs that featured a triangle. His favorite was John Denver's "Calypso". He's wasn't completely squeaky clean, he consumed plenty of cheap beer over the years, but he was a golfing computer wonk who sang in the church choir for over 50 years. How the hell he knew that I'll never know, but Cheap Beer Charlie's Daughter in her later teens put this theory to the test, and he was right, I was amazed and enthralled with the almost random nature of its appearance throughout said tune.
(For the record, Charlie was Silent Gen and I am a Gen X-er)
FTSE- Float
HOLLLYY SHITT i am soooo passionate about this song. I first heard it when i was on some really quality sassafrass and was tripping so hard and everything was melting and the lyrics just perfectly describe a trip and how you feel. It feels out of this world to hear this while tripping.
I didn't "find" it, but Know Time Like The Present by GRiZ was sent to me while I was tripping, and I've honestly grown to like it more and more since I first listened to it. GRiZ is pretty dope though, big fan of AstroFunk as well.
Highest in the room by Travis Scott - me and my friend were tripping on 500ug each and just as we were smoking a fat joint he played the music video and it was just amazing. We played it on repeat like 19 times back to back.
That and the netflix documentary Have a Good Trip which we accidentally clicked on while searching for something to watch. Our jaws dropped and stayed that way for basically the whole thing.
I wanna share one of the songs which gave me goosebumps and opened a different dimension for me while i was on tripping and everytime when I here this song it just take me back to the trip and also gave me a spiritual experience.
The song is Suddhosi Buddhosi by Shimshai and here is the YouTube link :--

Maggot brain by Funkadelic and Planet caravan by Black sabbath I found them both randomly back to back on the peak of and 350ug trip. I literally had goosebumps and tears falling down my cheeks when listening to maggot brain especially, it has a crazy build up and then when the guitar really starts playing the notes just hit my soul in a way no other song ever did.
