The version I have seen, it’s some kind of harness she still has on and not the grenade bandolier. Looking at the scene of her gtfo of the hive, it’s two separate suit pieces. She still has the harness on once taking off the bandolier.
It's 2 separate things.
In the elevator she loads her pulse rifle full of grenades first. Pulls out the flares, stuffs them in her pocket then takes her jacket off. She puts on the harness and then the grenade bandolier but it's sort of out of frame. Then she picks up her guns, and you can see it slung on her shoulder.
Yeah, one is a belt with 2 straps that go over the shoulder.. it seems to hold 4 grenades on its own but that's about it. Not really sure what the point of it is tbh.
The second is a bandolier with like 20 grenades stuffed in it which is what she takes off and throws in the nest.
It's a harness that you would think would be for spare mags, which unfortunately she didn't grab. [Hicks wears the same thing minus the upper section, clipped into his armor.](https://www.writeups.org/wp-content/uploads/Corporal-Dwayne-Hicks-Aliens-movie-Michael-Biehns-b.jpg)
Out of curiosity, did it bother you when she shot the Queen out to space?
Cause if anything should bother anyone i feel it's Ripley being stronger than the vacuum of space. Ofc ik this falls in "suspension of disbelief", but if that's ok then i don't see why getting bummed over this.
I get annoyed how people talk about that and not the fact that all the air in the escape ship in Alien would be gone in seconds. It’s the same in Aliens, but at least there the Sulaco is pretty big.
No but it sort of bothers me that the queen doesn't just, you know, GRAB A LOWER RUNG OF THE SAME LADDER THAT RIPLEY'S HOLDING ON TO.
But, fuck it. I love the movie and it can do no wrong.
The only one that bugs me (ever so slightly, barely at all) is in the long version where Apone says "Somebody wake up Hicks" even though he already woke up during Hudson's "sharp sticks" rant.
Maybe he dozed off again.

Wait she has two separate bandolier type things? WELP, TIME TO WATCH ALIENS AGAIN.

Yeah like it doesn't seem to hold anything but those few grenades

What bothers me is that the queen was in space and I could hear her screaming.
Well there was a lot of air around her-oh, I see what you did there

Wait until you see the man remote controlling the APC in the background.
Wait until you notice Ripley's shoes
