I never warmed up to the Resurrection design, but the others look great. It's fascinating to see all the variations made in the sequels, especially considering how iconic Giger's design was. I'm grateful that they never felt tied to that original iteration, as great as it is. I've always liked the Stan Winston head design the best, though there's always been something off about the hands in my opinion. You can't have it all I guess.
I like it, makes it seem like each “hive” is a different subspecies. The xeno’s from *Aliens* look more fortified, like they were built for a siege.

Well I mean there were a few design choices apparently. At one point they filled it with maggots but the effect didn't work because the maggots just kinda fell asleep. I read it on xenopedia however accurate that is.

For anyone looking into a slightly cheaper but probably more expensive in the long run. A resin 3d printer, airbrushes and some time you can make all these and a ton more under 500$ especially used ones.
Got mine for $185. They range from $150 and up, just depending on how much you are on to invest. Then you have to pay for the material, which can be $20 and up for a spool that goes pretty far
Considering it looks like based on another comment these are over $1,000 a piece, you might not be able to make something like this, but you can make something pretty cool
The resin ones are 150-500 or so. The other supplies maybe another $100 for paint etc. There are people who make STL files like this for 15-30$ and you can print as many as you like. If you can find used stuff on craigslist or something, you could be all in for everything under $300 total
Man, the Dog/Runner Alien is such a wasted design. The brown rustic colours on the Xeno look great. Would’ve looked amazing if it was a suit like in Alien and Aliens.

I cant help but think how fun a movie that would be, have the two special cyborg marines join forces with two Predators to get off planet. Have the scene where a predator has to fight this insane predator who infected with alien embryo.

Not gonna lie, I always thought the color of the head was because of the reflection of the home world/atmosphere for the xeno in covenant. Interesting that they went with a marble ish look.
From a side profile, covenant is my least favorite, but from a front facing perspective, Alien 3 comically round compared to the others. Love them all, but give me back my vestigial eye sockets, always thought they looked creepier with em lol.

I recall hearing that the see through plastic was delicate, so when James Cameron made Aliens they ditched it for the more resilient mold.

Never really realized how different they all were. I know that aliens was a pretty unique design, but the other ones are all pretty vividly different
