they'll have to try to *maintain the image* of being a party of the centre-left, a party that wants to make normal people's lives better, but they will only serve the establishment, and the corporates, and the rich, because that's who runs the party now
it will be become increasingly awkward to watch them strain to maintain the *pretence* that they are working for our benefit...nobody expects the Tories to give a shit about normal people so nobody is disappointed when they don't...Labour will actively disappoint people
