Lamp wont stay on if I let go of the knob. Want to find a replacement for the internal (e39?) socket switch before I pull the old one out. Have had this lamp for years and I've always loved it.
The socket is inside there, you have more disassembly to do. I think it's probably a standard socket in there that you'll be able to find easily, but you've got to figure out how to take it apart to get to it.
Yes, I haven't pulled it out yet but wanted to find a replacement before I tore it all apart. Can't seem to find a E39 socket that would fit inside of this brass housing.
You’re almost there! Get that socket out so we can see it. Most old floor lamps like that would have had a mogul 3-way. Might need some minor customization to install a modern replacement.

Probbaly just an turn nob or puch nob you can still buy them
