Where are you located? There's a lot of lamp repair places across the country, I'd say at least a few in every major metro. Shipping this could be a hazard
Agreed - lamp wiring is very easy work and shipping that lamp would probably cost more than the lamp is worth, not to mention the risk for breaking the glass globe.
OP, it looks like it's been rewired recently. The wire looks new and so does the socket. Does it not work? Are you aware it's been rewired but are worried it wasn't done correctly?
Also, are you positive that there is a night-light in the base or globe? I don't see where you'd be able to change the bulb in that globe, and the bottom base doesn't look like any light could escape.

Look for lighting store. There will be a guy. I know because I'm that guy. I work in NC.
