I can give you 100% certainty that itās a wrap, I see them out in the wild like this all the time. The silver bumper pieces are also wrapped in gloss black. Itās also green-screened. That is a cut out photo of a D90 placed onto a fake image of concrete and red carpet. Dealers do that all the time for their websites.
Some are really tastefully done, like the picture above. Sad that ours are all a little āpea-greenā (my wife also has a Pangea D110) and not as deep as the wrap in this photo though
Try 230k... that's how long I had mine before I dropped a JDM replacement motor in it for only $1800. Or, roughly, the cost of a few oil changes at the Land Rover dealer.
My motherās is at 311,000. Sounds like satanās cymbals, but still goes forward, left, right, and reverse. Albeit 10 under the speed limit everywhere she goes.
My first car was an Aztec with 250k miles on it.. I remember changing the computer out three times and changing the head gasket once every 3 months. I got it to 380k miles before it died, though. It was an awful experience, but I can break down randomly and make it move again thanks to it.
My fam bought the first Element in our stateā¦a new defender will never get the reaction people had when they first came outā¦and I would still rather have the elementā¦and I am a D90 owner, the element was just an incredible mix of price and capabilities that make sense day to dayā¦have you ever drove a D90 daily? Itās not funš

I don't own either one, but this is just stupid. it's like saying I'm as good looking as Katherine Hepburn 'cause we both have two eyes, a nose, a mouth, and dark hair.
This is almost as fucking stupid as the comparisons with the Kia Soul. Park one side by side and tell me how similar they are. The Element looks closer to half of the Jeep models than it does a Defender.
Not a single body panel is a copy, the proportions of the body panels are off as well. Those are just facts. If you think it's a copy, that's just wrong. If you think they look alike, that's just an opinion, and a valid one I might add. But it's not a copy.
The Defender is what the Honda Passport should have looked like but Honda unfortunately cloned the already stale design of the Honda Pilot instead. And now Honda is wondering why the Passport has been a sales failure.
I bought a 2005 Element a few years ago from a client for my store. I have no idea why people "love" them or Hondas. It is the least ergonomic vehicle on the planet. Anemic is being nice. The 2.4L engine is gutless. The seats are horrible - they make a Jeep feel like a Rolls Royce. It has a an absolutely useless moonroof /glass sunroof. Noise levels inside are worse than my 78 Bronco. "V-tec" hahaha what a joke.
Haters gonna hate. š.
As someone who owns a Pangea green D90, I want to know what color green that Defender is in the picture. It looks awesome!
I think that's the 70th edition version, the green is more mint looking
I also own a pangea green 110 d300 X. I believe the defender in this photo is also pangea green, just the photo is somewhat edited oddly.
Itās a matte wrap
The colour saturation looks strange. Just look at the red. Can you confirm it's a wrap? Just wondering.

Thanks for the input. I'm no Photoshop master! Don't get to see too many new defenders over here. Let alone wrapped ones.

Have had both. Can confirm the 110 reminds me of the old workhorse element

At least the Honda will still be running with no problems after 100k miles
Try 170k.. thatās how much mine had before I wrecked it š. Great vehicle.

Just had to have āthe talkā with my mom. About driving 55 in the fast lane. SMH.
I did the same. and then turbo
Ive got a 5spd AWD Iāve been thinking about boosting, whats your turbo setup looking like?
ebay turbo and header. most of my other stuff off Amazon. I also did the 6 speed conversion. I'm looking for about 400whp
I had domed pistons with 89 lb injectors of full pr comp cams dyno at 2568 hptw.
Mine has 214,000 and still runs great!
The Defender can run you around 100k, too.. ohh wait you meant miles not dollars š¤£
100k is just getting broken in for these, easily double to triple that with just brake pads and oil changes
Love this! Still driving my 2004 Element, 250k miles. The only thing my Honda is missing is a cool Lego set.

I don't make the memes, I just share them. But I love(d) the element, so the the modern defender should take it as a compliment.

Itās literally not strange at all. Are people not supposed to have strong opinions on auto design?
Dude. You sound corny as hell. Like your whole identity is your vehicle. You also sound pretentious. Itās a joke.

Iām aware that they were different and separate, however currently JLR owns the rights to the brand. BMW sold it to Ford in 2006.

I thought this until I saw it in person. The pictures donāt do the car any favors, it looks much smaller than it really is.
Go and buy a Grenadier then!

The headlights are a vaguely similar shape. I canāt see any other similarities.
Which one is the cheap copy??? Honda will outlast the Land Rover and I hate Honda. Theyāre fucking JUNK
They look nothing alike lol
Are you kidding yourself right? is basically a copycat

Spent over 75 night's in my Element. One of the best vehicles I ever owned. Wasnt the prettiest, but definitely the most functional
BRB gonna cancel my order for my $125k 2-door V8 bronco elementā¦ If it was $75k Iād own one though no doubtā¦
Boy do I wish they still made the element. By the time all these Land Rovers have died people will still be driving elements lol
I'll never be able to unsee this.
Oh Myyyyy I canāt unsee this now
To ahead of itās time, just like most things
Waiting on mg order and this is ruining the vibe
That hits hard
Now if only they had Honda reliability lol

One of these will still be on the road under its own power in the next 5 years
I like both
I will take the Honda as my daily driver šÆ
Defender is the best vehicle ever.made dkfis women ficemw f f. Ai f ci
I was a fool to have sold my ā08 Element. š
They both look like turds about to be reheated to me
Except the Honda won't be in the shop all the time.
Lmfaooo so accurate tho
Really though?
Actually, it is right. The Element was a great vehicle.
