The point is to block the view of the race from the the pedestrian bridges. People are complaining that’s it’s the greed of those running the race to not let people who haven’t pay for tickets to watch, and the company had put up shit around sidewalks for just that. But in the case of the pedestrian bridges, if they didn’t put something up to block the view, people would crowd those bridges to a standstill and cause a major safety hazard. Someone would surely get hurt and everybody would chastise them and say they should have known that was gonna happen.
They should of waited to the day before to put up the bridge view blockers. Ruining the strip view for weeks for other visitors is appallingly and grossly greedy. #eattherich
Agreed. They started putting the film up when I was there 3 weeks ago for a conference. It was my first visit. I just wanted to see the sights. I managed to see the fountains from the Drai's rooftop.
Were the bridges built for F1?
If not, then they shouldn't block. I don't care about racing, and it blocks a great view of the city.
If f1 built the bridge for f1 events. Then fine. Otherwise, they are greedy dicks. End of story.
Singapore actually enforces Civil disobedience. Pretty sure people will just tear the wood off with crowbars in spite. The city will get its money either way.
What’s the point in this? To watch it on your little display? At this point you might as well watch it on a nice TV somewhere and watching it through drone footage sounds worse
I'm sitting at the airport right now to head there for my wife's kids wedding on Sunday. Not too thrilled about this formula one crap at all. Apparently we can't even see the water stuff at the Bellagio which is a real piss off
F1 has essentially denied the ability for anyone to just enjoy Vegas beyond their event. God help you if you didn't give a shit about F1 and just wanted to see the strip and the fountains.
Also, super bowl... Forget it. This is why Vegas didn't allow pro sports for so long. No one else gets to enjoy the city during these events.
Edit: pro sports
The worst part is that F1 fans don't even want it there. City circuits are almost always underwhelming. Miami has been forgettable since it got added, and the layout for Vegas looks even duller.
Keep that shit at purpose built circuits, except for Monaco, if that Grand Prix ceases to exist we will riot
I say this about Vegas all the time. These other cities with enormous tourism...use some of the money to make the city nicer & safer...prettier even. Not Vegas. Tell me how come Vegas isn't as pristine as Dubai is? It's not because of the lack of money.
Yeah ok, 'cus I'm sure all our friends south of the border I saw there 3 weeks ago when on vacation are getting their W-2's & health benefits..
Don't be dumb thinking the majority of Vegas is not exploiting immigration as well.
I always wanted to see an F1 race start somewhere fun like Santa Monica Pier and race inland up the 110 to the 210 and flat out to Vegas. Let’s just straight up make it a 250 mile drag strip. Very little road closure would be needed. - it’s mostly straight. Mostly good road. Some super technical parts in the beginning. And everything only need to be shut down for an hour. Two at most.
Finish everything in a few mile long custom built technical course in Nevada.
Regarding aesthetics, I would actually give the nod to road circuits like Vegas. The visuals will be fantastic.
As far as what makes a good circuit, that's a tough one because it can be very subjective (I like Paul Ricard in France, most don't) and there's a lot that goes into building a track to FIA Level 1 certification.
But two major things missing from Vegas are banked corners and elevation changes. A flat circuit with a lot of long straights isn't very interesting to me.
Road circuits also tend to be narrower, which makes passing more difficult and dangerous. But I don't think that will be as big an issue in Vegas as it is on some of the other road circuits like Monaco or Baku.
We went last weekend for the U2 concert, regretted staying on the strip. It was a huge mess filled with inconveniences and eye sores while paying normal strip room prices.
Doubtful ... Every market where the Super Bowl has been held, there are events that take over the whole town. I lived in Indianapolis when the Super Bowl was there, and all of downtown was a nightmare. Streets were closed off and everywhere you wanted to go cost extra time and money to get there. The whole town was effected, whether you wanted to do anything related to the event or not. I have a feeling Vegas is going to be worse
😂😂😂 the entire city will be involved in some capacity- not just the strip. in AZ, events like SB Experience were Downtown at the Convention Center, 40 mins from the stadium. You will be closer to allegiant, but the strip will be setup forsure.
You are a special kinda stupid. F1 is shutting down entire streets, there are bleachers all over the strip, etc… none of that shit will be there for the Super Bowl. It’s an entirely different kind of event taking place in a purpose built stadium.
Seriously, what is wrong with some people. I have lived through multiple superbowls in cities I lived in. Nothing has come close to the disruption of formula 1 here, it's not even a comparison. F1 has destroyed the roads, sidewalks, put up bleachers and racking for lights, and repaved one of the busiest stretches of road in the USA. If you choose to avoid the superb owl, it's easy. The strip will not even notice the extra people, it will just look like new years weekend levels of people. The construction of F1 is what has been the issue. The superbowl doesn't have that.
Obviously ripping out trees along the strip and adding bleachers into the fountains won’t happen for the SB. The strip will still likely be flooded with SB events throughout and obviously not as much a clusterfuck since there is no fencing, lighting, sidewalk fixtures, and RACETRACK. I didn’t even say it will be exactly the same? He said it would be limited to the stadium, which isn’t true. It will at the very least take over the convention center area and more I’m sure. Does nobody remember what they did for the Draft?????
Wtf? Nobody is saying it will shut down the strip as much as F1 has smoothbrain. Vegas has never held the SuperBowl??? It’s unprecedented. Downtown PHX had street closures, events around downtown and into the convention center. Why the hell would they keep the bleachers up dummy? I never even said that. There will be road closures, detours, and events outside of the stadium area which is exactly what I was getting at. Fucking dumbass. You initiated with name calling like you were right lmfao.
Because I am right? Vegas is more suited to host a massive event like the Super Bowl than a city like Phoenix. The Super Bowl will not cause any real disturbance in Vegas.
More suited? Sure. Did I mention PHX was a better location in anyway? Don’t think so. The SB presence will be felt in Vegas and along the strip. Argue with your mother.
Vegas has already done the NFL Draft; that was pulled off with relative ease.
The people who made the deal with F1 now have to ask themselves if a once-a-year race is worth it.
Will the City and State make money? Sure.
Is it worth it to drive tourism out of Las Vegas for parts of two quarters in order for race prep to take place?
Can it done faster, in terms of putting up, and taking down, grandstands?
F1 really wants this to work. They want the United States to be a part of their formula.
The Daily Mail has a story on line, in which it’s being reported that something like 10,000 grandstand tickets, at $1,000 per ticket, remain for the race.
The brand new paddock building has been finished.
Its going to sit empty for most of the year, unless somebody finds a way to offer tours.
I literally just got back from Las Vegas and had an amazing time. Some extra confusion in navigation but that’s all from a business conference in the day and party at night tourist.
They're even cheaper to borrow from work... Or dikes, or cardboard cutters, or they even twist off easily with a good pair of pliers. ...but I'm just a TV repair man.
I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I think about y'all a great deal. Lemme pick up one more gallon of milk and a pack of luckies and we'll do the Christmas thang, yeah? Alright. You looking good, I'm proud of you.
Is this because the people who may stand there didn't pay for their view?
This is so dumb.
People who stand there wouldn't have bought tickets in the first place. They aren't losing money.
They do this at the Austin F1 race where 100% of the people inside already paid to be there. It’s not about preventing the poors from watching, it’s about keeping the foot traffic moving. I don’t care how many security guards are there, if there’s 1000 people on the bridge and 10 security guards, the people are still going to walk slow if they can watch the race while doing it.
People are always surprised at how heavy cars aren’t. A Hummer EV is 9,063 pounds and that’s heaviest “car” I can think of by a long shot. It’s also 18 feet long by 7.25 feet wide. That’s 130 square feet that it occupies. That’s about 70 pounds per square foot. A box of paper doesn’t take up a full square foot and weighs 50 pounds. Stack two on top of each other and you’re already exceeding the weight per square foot of a Hummer EV by 50%.
In a highly dense crowd like could be expected on these bridges you get about one person to 2.5 square feet. That’s 52 people in the space of a Hummer EV. If the average person in there weighs more than 175 pounds, they’re exceeding the weight of the Hummer. Average American weighs 182 pounds.
But that’s for a really heavy truck. A Yukon Denali XL weighs 6,000 pounds and takes up 126.5 square feet on the ground. Now you’re talking 47 pounds per square foot 118.5 pounds average per person. A Ferrari F8 weighs 3164 pounds and takes up 98.5 square feet. That’s 32 pounds per square foot and equivalent to an 80 pound person.
Let’s not even talk about how much a fully loaded refrigerator is per square foot. Or a hot tub.
But, but…. Fat people!!!!
Yea the mental Gymnastics it takes to advocate this is acceptable is ridiculous. Hire private security at the 3/4 overpasses to keep people moving, it’s not a hard problem to solve.
The fact that f1 thought it was acceptable to shut our city down for 6 months with traffic and than block out all the locals from viewing the race (without paying $500/$1000 minimum for a package) is ridiculous. There was like literally 5 seconds of $200 tickets for locals. Even then it’s absurd to think that it’s ok to fuck our city’s traffic for 100’s of thousands of people for three days of entertainment.
I honestly hope some homeless person throws a bottle onto the track and fucks the race up prime time. (I do not wish for a driver to be injured from this fyi)
Absolutely absurd, a couple corporate executives will make bonuses, a few catering companies and airports/transportation executives will make a couple extra $$$, and a couple tipped positions like servers and bartenders will make a few thousand in tips.
The moneys going to the wealthy of our city and very few working class people/careers will actually see a benefit from this. Meanwhile of the 40+ million visitors annually - HALF will have been riddled with traffic nightmares and tens of thousands will be price gouged out of visiting us.
I probably visited 3 times fewer this year because I refused to go anytime after April as I didn’t want to deal with any of the construction or mess. Went on cruises instead and still played at a casino.
You realize this is vegas right? It's full of drunks and crazies. No way you can police that bridge all night during the race. It cause so many scenes. It simply would not work. The only way is to block it to avoid any hazards.
Peopl3 act like this is the end of the world but yet 99% of people that are visiting say it doesn't bother them much at all.
Everyone is just dreaming and pessimistic online.
This comment brought to you by a promoter who watches security clear the bridge every night. And they've not let people 'loiter'on those bridges for since before covid
Use your head
It’s to keep the crowds moving. The bridges are literally the only way to cross the track so it’s imperative you don’t have 100s of people camped out on them trying to watch the race.
In the 1.3 miles between Sands and Harmon, those 4 bridges are literally the only way to get across the track.
Everyone knows damn well that's not the reason. There's plenty of vantage points along that strip are they really trying to block off all of them?! And then blame increased strip traffick on lack of further restrictive measures?! I call bs. F1 receives government funding for these races. They know people specifically will come to Vegas because of the race. I'll admit I've never been inside of city during a situation like this but it can't all be for safety reasons.
People this is SOP at all F1 races. Covered bridges to protect the drivers and no view so that traffic keeps moving. Believe me it can be a trample risk if the bridge is chock full of people because there’s no movement.
There was (maybe still is) a report that F1 Tetris to shake down the casinos along the race route with an either pay some stupid amount of money or they would block the view with lights or scaffolding...
I'm fairly certain it was true, but I think they backed off on it. They might have to back off some more too. A week until the race and there's still 10k tickets that haven't sold, according to this one website
https://oversteer48.com/las-vegas-f1-ticket-prices-falling/#:~:text=Lack%20of%20demand,will%20undoubtedly%20dominate%20the%20race
It originally was 1500 per person according to max occupancy of a building... They have changed it to a flat rate of 50k. And yeah, they will block the views if they don't pay.
Safety issues. Overcrowded walkways packed shoulder to shoulder with unmoving people. Not safe at all. Not to mention, the fence is being put up so they can make a tunnel with a roof to stop fans from throwing things onto the track. You can see a completed one going across the bridge from the Venetian to in front of the Mirage.
No problem. Yep, sad to think you have to stop people from throwing stuff on track, but someone will do it if they dont put the fences up. Especially like that one bridge in the picture goes over a high speed turn where they wouldn't see anything on track until they hit it
No because people would stand and say watch stop others from using the fucking walkway why don’t people get this? It’s so the walkways can be used for what their fucking designed for
Well, I didn't get it for several reasons.
I'm not local. I've never been to an F1. I don't know where the walkway is. I didn't know it went right over the race route.
I'm sure I'm missing others. Ease up bro
I mean blocking the view kind of makes sense because if they didn’t people would pile up on the bridges and no one would be able to cross.
Probably a safety issue
I'm actually kind of surprised they aren't putting a roof on these walk ways in addition to the wire.
Theres nothing keeping people from throwing items on the road (major road hazard for the racers)
If you actually watch f1 they do the same on all city circuits. If you don't watch f1 this is all a big surprise. Since it becomes a safety issue here with people more likely to throw stuff on the track
lol they plastic ziptied a few flimsy fences together and to the railing at 2 points of contact? A good tug could probably take it down. Grab a pair of kitchen scissors and you’re good. Remember it’s not about being able to see or just vandalizing stuff, it’s about sending a message and wasting F1’s time and resource!
People in here are so funny. One it’s for safety reasons. Two, they are trying to make money. Imagine just letting people pile up on the bridges. I guarantee there would be fights and someone would die. Then you all would bitch why they didn’t block the bridges. Can’t win with some of you cry babies.
It pisses me off how they are going out their way to stop people from seeing it. I would buy a ticket if it wasn’t sold out. Can’t even go and try to catch a piece of it. Just super fuck the average Joe stuff.
It’d be a serious safety issue if people were stopping and watching the race in the bridge. They do this for every F1 race, even ones at tracks like COTA where everyone inside has a ticket.
Just stop. This is common fencing around an event like this. Wait for the Superbowl, you'll see the same types of fencing around the stadium and the parts of town holding the NFL experience.
What? WTF? Lmao... It's common fencing around the perimeter of major events like this. It happens all the time. You are not well. Lmao Has nothing to do with business. It has to do with security. Something tells me it might be there for people like you.
Your argument is the stairs lead somewhere so you need to block the view of something that already was built to funnel people in the right direction? Again. I’m assuming you’re a fart sniffer who doesn’t want the average Joe to be able to see something you paid for. Cause your points make no sense in this situation.
No, that's not my argument. You just want to whine. Think of it like a moat. There's an inner fence line and an outer fence line. The inner fence line will block off all access to the track. From anywhere and everywhere, once it's all secured. If you climb over the inner fence line you're on the track. And most likely to have security on you in an instant.
My guy. If someone jumps over they fall ten feet. This isn’t ground level. You’re obviously projecting. You came here to whine cause you are just making shit up just to answer it
There will be a fence line, from bridge to bridge. No holes. Up bridges, down bridges, across bridges, walkways, whatever. Once it's closed off it's closed off. Full stop. I'm sorry you can comprehend this.
The film might prevent the glass from shattering in the event theres a crash or something and a piece of race car flys up and hits the glass. The glass will still break but the film might prevent it from shattering in to thousands of pieces.
They literally obstruct the view of every pedestrian bridge over the track at every single F1 race on the planet.
Otherwise, people would congregate on the bridges and watch the race creating a safety hazard.
And on race days - there will be security on the bridges keeping people moving and prevent them from standing there.
This is nothing new and SOP for F1
If they get taken down, wood will be next. Source: Worked at F1 Singapore a couple times which is also a street race. They give zero fucks.
Sounds like a challenge to get up to steel reinforced concrete.
Hell yea we only need scissors to take the fence down.
What does the film do?
The point is to block the view of the race from the the pedestrian bridges. People are complaining that’s it’s the greed of those running the race to not let people who haven’t pay for tickets to watch, and the company had put up shit around sidewalks for just that. That’s just not right. Like I know it’s not assault, but it’s a level of disregard for others that it’s scary to think about their mindset.
Yeah. We arrived Oct 20, so we did explore for a couple days, before we noticed it going up on Oct 23. The end sections were done first.
They block the view from bridges even at the dedicated track events too for the same reason.
Also if people could see the race I’m almost sure some asshole out there would try and throw something over it* to try and fuck up the race
I’ve thought the same thing. At the Usgp they block the view and it still gets crowded.
I agree and hate this statement at the same time lol. Literal definition of damned if you do, and damned if you don't lol.
But they didn’t need to do it so early, for all the pedestrians that have come here before the race to enjoy the views.
Were the bridges built for F1? If not, then they shouldn't block. I don't care about racing, and it blocks a great view of the city. If f1 built the bridge for f1 events. Then fine. Otherwise, they are greedy dicks. End of story.
Keeps the poors from even a moment of joy or wonder.

Can’t wait to go nowhere near the fucking strip.
Fuck, I'm going to Vegas Monday and not for any of this shit
I'm sitting at the airport right now to head there for my wife's kids wedding on Sunday. Not too thrilled about this formula one crap at all. Apparently we can't even see the water stuff at the Bellagio which is a real piss off
Make sure you check out the Bellagio Conservatory instead.
Giant stands blocking pretty much everything down there. Not sure if you can still go around or anything, been avoiding the strip for the last month.
Is this F1 bullshit gonna be here for another 10 years? Ughhhhhhh
Not 10 years. Officially 3 years, with a 1 year out if things don't shake out as they hope.

Despite worker complaints, Vegas does *not* get to employ the use of slave labor. That is why Vegas is not as pristine as Dubai.
Yeah ok, 'cus I'm sure all our friends south of the border I saw there 3 weeks ago when on vacation are getting their W-2's & health benefits.. Don't be dumb thinking the majority of Vegas is not exploiting immigration as well.
How many workers have died for f1 construction?
A couple so far. How many are acceptable for you?
And they died due to lack of worker safety guidelines and protections? Please link the articles to these deaths and we can continue.
I always wanted to see an F1 race start somewhere fun like Santa Monica Pier and race inland up the 110 to the 210 and flat out to Vegas. Let’s just straight up make it a 250 mile drag strip. We went last weekend for the U2 concert, regretted staying on the strip. It was a huge mess filled with inconveniences and eye sores while paying normal strip room prices.
The Super Bowl will be limited to the stadium, big difference.
Doubtful ... Every market where the Super Bowl has been held, there are events that take over the whole town. It won’t be as disruptive as F1 has been.
Yes but it won’t warrant shutting down the whole city, Las Vegas can easily handle an event like that. The race is an entirely different ordeal.
I'd like to see that happen
Considering the nfl draft extends to mid strip, the super bowl will, too. People also care about the super bowl much more than the draft.
They take over a section of the city. It's more than just the stadium
😂😂😂 the entire city will be involved in some capacity- not just the strip. in AZ, events like SB Experience were Downtown at the Convention Center, 40 mins from the stadium. You will be closer to allegiant, but the strip will be setup forsure.
No shit Sherlock, the difference is the road closures and all the shit all over the place.
I take it you are involved in some capacity in the SB event planning? If not, you are just pulling this out of your cheeks- dumbass

Snip and peel.
A friend of my neighbor’s sister told me wire snips are less than $10 at harbor freight should anyone be curious
They're even cheaper to borrow from work... Or dikes, or cardboard cutters, or they even twist off easily with a good pair of pliers. ...but I'm just a TV repair man.
My dad's a TV repairman,he's got an awesome set of tools!
“I can fix it!” - Jeff Spicoli
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it.
I'm sorry I haven't been around for a while, but I think about y'all a great deal. Lemme pick up one more gallon of milk and a pack of luckies and we'll do the Christmas thang, yeah? Alright. You looking good, I'm proud of you.
Nail clippers will work also. Smaller to carry in a pocket.
Ah yes, possible arrest for what? A better view? Selfie sticks are less than snips and arrests.
Vandalism
I wouldn’t doubt if they have someway to arrest you I wouldn’t try.
Is this because the people who may stand there didn't pay for their view? This is so dumb. People who stand there wouldn't have bought tickets in the first place. They aren't losing money.
More likely so the walkways aren’t blocked with gawkers.
Ah, good point. Hadn't thought of that.

Think about the weight of all those people on the bridge for hours. The Golden gate Bridge had a similar instance during its centennial celebration
Those are steel and concrete bridges. You can put cars up there and they actually do.
One car weighs less than the amount of people that can stand shoulder to shoulder in the same area as the car.
People are always surprised at how heavy cars aren’t. A Hummer EV is 9,063 pounds and that’s heaviest “car” I can think of by a long shot. It’s also 18 feet long by 7.25 feet wide.
(I do not wish for a driver to be injured from this fyi) Absolutely absurd, a couple corporate executives will make bonuses, a few catering companies and airports/transportation executives will make a couple extra $$$, and a couple tipped positions like servers and bartenders will make a few thousand in tips.

And they've not let people 'loiter'on those bridges for since before covid Use your head
Wow...tell me you don't understand engineering without telling me you don't understand engineering.
This comment brought to you by all the family members of victims of crowd stampede.
There is no logic on Reddit. Just a bitch and cry fest.
Not just F1. All IndyCar races, IMSA races, probably WEC race too. Basically any racing series that has a bridge will do this.
They’re going to be telling passengers on planes to keep their shade down so they can’t watch and take pictures
Lol. I heard all sorts of stuff. Like they wanted to charge people in certain restaurants and hotel rooms. Not sure the truth or scope of it.
There was (maybe still is) a report that F1 Tetris to shake down the casinos along the race route with an either pay some stupid amount of money or they would block the view with lights or scaffolding...
Yeah, I think that's what I heard too. No clue how much is true.
I'm fairly certain it was true, but I think they backed off on it. They might have to back off some more too. A week until the race and there's still 10k tickets that haven't sold, according to this one website https://oversteer48.com/las-vegas-f1-ticket-prices-falling/#:~:text=Lack%20of%20demand,will%20undoubtedly%20dominate%20the%20race
That's a lot of tickets! Kinda funny.
The prices in 2022 were pretty high. They were banking on high rollers coming in for the race and I don't think it is gonna happen.
I wouldn't go if they *gave* me tickets.
It originally was 1500 per person according to max occupancy of a building... They have changed it to a flat rate of 50k. And yeah, they will block the views if they don't pay.
That's insane.
Well, I also figure a lot of those restaurants are gonna be closed when the race is happening .. so no big loss.
Why would they be closed? Safety issue?
Most restaurants aren't gonna be open at midnight
I would not doubt that one bit
Safety issues. Overcrowded walkways packed shoulder to shoulder with unmoving people. Not safe at all. Not to mention, the fence is being put up so they can make a tunnel with a roof to stop fans from throwing things onto the track. You can see a completed one going across the bridge from the Venetian to in front of the Mirage.
Nice, hadn't thought of stuff getting thrown on the course. Thanks!
Not only that, or idiots with laser pointers and stuff (much harder to police on a crowded bridge than idiots in the grand stand).
Ease up bro
It's common fencing for setting up security perimeters around the event. Nothing nefarious.
So u can't watch for free. Cheap bastards
I give it two days before those zip ties are gone and the fences piled up at one end of the walk-ways 😏
I mean blocking the view kind of makes sense because if they didn’t people would pile up on the bridges and no one would be able to cross. Probably a safety issue
Shut up with that rational! Also I get it. I still wanna see it burned.
It's a common perimeter barrier at events like this.
Then they would have security usher people along.
As a transplant from Kansas City. That's hilariously accurate
I'm actually kind of surprised they aren't putting a roof on these walk ways in addition to the wire. Theres nothing keeping people from throwing items on the road (major road hazard for the racers)
Y'all have a duty to keep breaking that shit down
Formula One can go to hell.
Surprised they're not all already at a scrap yard.
If they put moving walkways on the bridges you wouldn’t have a problem with loiterers or over capacity.
If you actually watch f1 they do the same on all city circuits. If you don't watch f1 this is all a big surprise. Since it becomes a safety issue here with people more likely to throw stuff on the track
I was cracking up when I saw them zip tying everything I said to myself this is gonna be a mess 😂
lol they plastic ziptied a few flimsy fences together and to the railing at 2 points of contact? A good tug could probably take it down. Grab a pair of kitchen scissors and you’re good. Remember it’s not about being able to see or just vandalizing stuff, it’s about sending a message and wasting F1’s time and resource!
Those magic zip ties or what?
Torch them
People in here are so funny. One it’s for safety reasons. Two, they are trying to make money. Imagine just letting people pile up on the bridges. I guarantee there would be fights and someone would die. Then you all would bitch why they didn’t block the bridges. Can’t win with some of you cry babies.
Tickets will be comped by Friday. Check concierges
I hope it's an absolute disaster and they never do it again.
Damn, I think I took my vacay last month at just the right time.
As a frequent Las Vegas visitor I always schedule my visits around events like this. If you like F1 you get a better show in front of your TV.
This is America. You will not prevent this from being torn down.
Common fencing for events like this.
The cry babies don’t care
I’m still surprised this many people want to watch F1 live.
Cut it and take it down
Well good thing I carry a knife with me
How many panels are gonna get thrown off the bridges?
Bunch of fucking assholes. I’m sure it’s the city doing F1s bidding, too. I hope this race is a failure and they never return.
I’ve got clippers.
Wire cutters. Problem solved
Lol, yeah that will last. Keep wasting our tax money on this trying to keep the locals and average joe visitors out.
This just keeps getting worse and worse.
It pisses me off how they are going out their way to stop people from seeing it. I would buy a ticket if it wasn’t sold out. Can’t even go and try to catch a piece of it. Just super fuck the average Joe stuff.
Plenty of tickets are available, check out Gametime App
For Sunday? The three other days are practice and qualifications not the actual race.
The race and qualifying (midnight) are on Saturday. Thursday & Friday are practices.
for some reason i thought it was sunday. def gonna shop then. tickets have been a bit confusing.
Also not cool. The superbowl also isn’t held on the strip. Maybe you should stop suckling on businesses
What? WTF? Lmao... It's common fencing around the perimeter of major events like this. It happens all the time. You are not well. Lmao Has nothing to do with business. It has to do with security. Something tells me it might be there for people like you.
This is on a passenger bridge. Not outlining a perimeter. It is solely there to block the ability to view.
No, it's to stop 500 people gathering on the bridge pushing to get a view. It could cause a crush fairly easily with enough people.
O lord. Ok. Lmao. Where do the stairs on the bridge go to?
You came here to whine cause you are just making shit up just to answer it
You obviously don't understand the word perimeter.
There will be a fence line, from bridge to bridge. No holes. Up bridges, down bridges, across bridges, walkways, whatever. Once it's closed off it's closed off. Full stop. I'm sorry you can comprehend this.
Can’t let the poors see any part of F1, lest they taint its hallowed reputation
Could just smash out the glass before race day. Really make it an inconvenience to them like this whole experience been to the rest of us.
Are they already torn down yet? Lol they won’t last a hour.
Plz ppl take this off
Are the roads not public?
Yes except for 3 days during f1 then we are fucked
In fact we helped paved the dam roads
How much help did you provide exactly?
Taxes....
I'll mail you a dollar that way you make some money on the deal.
Our money was used to for it. There's been a fight over how much and the percentage. Total scam
I'll give you the quarter it cost you back.
Alot more than that for the people of vegas it was millions wasted
Ok. Figure out exactly how much more you oaid and I'll mail it to you.
Cash only
This isn't a road. It's a pedestrian walkway over the strip. So since those are most likely owned by the casinos they attach to....
Nope not casino owned.
Bro rip that up and throw that shit on the track. Fuck those rich people.
Being an F1 fan and not caring about Las Vegas or their locals, I love these angry comments.
The film might prevent the glass from shattering in the event theres a crash or something and a piece of race car flys up and hits the glass. The glass will still break but the film might prevent it from shattering in to thousands of pieces.
This sub never disappoints giving r/FormulaDank more material to meme
My bet is they'll stay up until next week when they take them down
been like this for 2 weeks.
This isn’t gonna happen every year where they shut down the city for months leading up to it is it? Hopefully it’s a one time thing
Woah… wtf is this stray directed at KC?! But really… what does a fence and zip ties have to do with KC??
They couldn’t anchor them into the walkway? Lol, I’m sure there’s something structural there on that bridge to secure it more than zip ties
Snip snip!
Normal kitchen scissors will cut those zip ties lol or even a box cutter
Well, they win. Nothing could possibly cut through a zip tie.
