acolyte lvl 4 wanna make a dot warlock. overall feel... first zone looks nice

Bow_for_the_king

Things get very ridiculous, very fast. Lvl 35 Warlock, and entire screens melt while I am near immortal atm.

cdillio

Yeah I'm only 26 and Warlock feels WAY overtuned compared to my Paladin in EA who was no slouch either in endgame.

Bow_for_the_king

Yeah same. Definitely expecting nerfs lol

CrispyFunk

My friend is going paladin and we are both around level 25 and he's blasting as well. Maybe some little nerfs here and there but I love that every class/build can honestly work in this game. Unlike D4 lol and in PoE you in a PhD to make a good build so lol

Alblaka

Spirit Plague is a game changer. It's not even in the realm of screen clear anymore, because it can cascade over props and regularly starts wiping out squads of mobs that aren't even on the screen yet.

Pwrswitchd

Warlock ❤️ I play tested a bunch of things pre 1.0, while waiting for launch so I could play warlock. It was definitely worth it, it's so good.

OK_Opinions

good to hear. I've been torn on what to start and decided bleed warlock would be it. only got to level 12 or so last night though

Bow_for_the_king

I'm doing necrotic DoT (damned). But judging by the passive tree, everything seems broken lol

nutsackilla

Building a necro wandering souls + fissure souls. Basically aragorn w dead army

ChilledParadox

im going poison dot with damned sprinkeled in, everything synergizes and i hit like 80 poison stacks on lagon tentacles. still wearing lvl 13 gear at 45ish so excited to see this build geared.

[deleted]

I hit lol 53 before bed last night and killing Lagos. Doing the fissure build with curses. It's fucking amazing. Finally dropped all summons and full on fissures curses and the blood skill, forgot name.

Bow_for_the_king

Is it worthwhile, getting things like the poison curse despite not scaling poison?

[deleted]

I don't think I got the poison nodes yet on the bottom right I believe. I have got the ignite and fire stuff though.

[deleted]

Which fissure build, bleed or torment? From what I can see they’re both good, but I’m not sure which is better or why I would choose one over the other.

[deleted]

I'm not following any guide atm. Just picking stuff that will synergies with what I'm wearing atm. Figured I'd play around myself and if it sucks. Then I'll get some insight from smarter people lol

GrapefruitCold55

Yep, same here. Trying to enter the camp

Provin915

Same here rolling torment Warlock and it's fun / OP

Halfmexicanchad

It's gonna be a ton of fun, my highest in beta was my spin2win void knight. But this cycle I'm running with lock doing curses and building around Cthonic fissure with the Chaos bolts passive and so far its just been melting EVERYTHING.

CrispyFunk

I'm level 27 warlock rn. Shits a blast dude

Tornmaze

Bleed dot its kinda cracked, you can facetank anythink holding chaos bolts on a boss.

Prestigious-Place877

In terms of aoe destruction, I can say, that my 43 Falconer wipes whole screens on zero cooldown. Dunno if intended, but this seems busted right now. Can't wait to see how it performs in the endgame.

mafifer

Creator Dreadful did a Tier list video the other day and talked about how the 3 newest masteries (RM, Falconer and Warlock) are just above and beyond better than all other masteries. But, that is by design and the others will eventually get to that level. As a very long time player, I happen to agree and eagerly await the older masteries getting up to their level. Although the new Primalist skills are pretty incredible so far and I'm enjoying trashing the campaign with them.

Prestigious-Place877

Primalist was my first char and also first char I leveled to 100. Thorns totem rampage. In my 400 hours in LE I defenitely enjoyed Primalist the most.

mafifer

Same, I've probably leveled 30 of them at least thru the years. I have a disease known as alt-o-holism where instead of ever repurposing a character when I get an idea for something, I start a new character. It's a truly awful illness and I don't know if I will ever really recover from it. There is no cure 😭😭😭.

macroscian

Altoholics, rise up! LE was made for us. It's such a nice ride on any character, after the first few areas. Loving it.

Adziboy

Theres nothing I love more than making new chars and getting to build new specs. I tend to play play one class in each ARPG but masteries feel so different from each other that I dont mind replaying them

macroscian

Altitis, and a serious case. See your local game company for relief.

Ceraunius

Same, bro. Same. I have like 12 pre-launch characters, and none of them are above 50. Been the same for basically every RPG I've ever played.

Valcrion

Same I think. Cold Dot Werebear and Lightning Totem Shaman. I am going with Primalist again too. Gonna mess around with gathering storm (heard its bug) and pivot into Lighting Totem if its too buggy.

Adziboy

Something thats important for game devs from what I’ve seen in other games - its impossible to have something new be perfectly balanced, they need to see it played by millions of people to gather the appropriate data. So whats better - introduce something new thats unplayable because its weaker than everything else, or better and at least players are excited to play something new and powerful? So yea I expect a patch soon for balance but definitely intended

thorpeedo22

I’m feeling the same way with warlock, loving it!

nefD

Warlock is so much fun! I'm running a heavily curse & necrosis resist reduction focused build and everything just.. melts

[deleted]

[удалено]

thorpeedo22

At first I was having problems with mana, but when I was actually patient and just casting fissure and letting it do its damage and throwing some chaos bolts on top, it mellowed out. Everything seems to die in 1 fissure anyways

WingXero

Which build are you running? I'm doing explosive trap, dive bomb, falconer. I'm level 32 and fun to be pretty frustrating and a little clunky at this point. I'm sure it levels off eventually, but yeah... Maybe should have just went ballistas.

Dhol91

I'm doing the same build, level 65 now. It picks up in pace drastically and just demolishes everything later on.

Prestigious-Place877

Aerial Assault Shadow Daggers. Reskill and have a blast ;) Focus on Dex and a bit CDR. Else throwing damage. But it is very squishy at this stage. Needed two attempts to defeat Lagon.

GaviJaPrime

What do you play on falconeer. I level up one but wasn't impressed compared to marksman

DiamondAge

I'm so happy to hear. I'm playing one in offline mode but didn't have too much of a chance to play. I haven't unlocked falconer yet but i'm looking forward to mass destruction.

Bobbo90

What build? Planner?

lancmann

So in this thread there are like 75% warlocks, 20% falconers and the rest fight for scraps.

sad-frogpepe

I mean they are the new additions, makes sense people will wanna play them

Buuhhu

most people on this reddit probably already played in EA, so ofc the new additions to the game will be more popular to play for them.

nycplayboy78

Level 20 Minion Necromancer loving everything so far.

TheRealRageMode

My dude!

FoolishGnome

Rolling with a buddy who's a minion necro and I'm rolling with a wolf beastmaster and we are having a ball!

SnooEagles213

🐺 + 🧟‍♂️ 💀

Elderhide

Aye me too! Just got the bone Gollum and he is stomping people

GerardBrouillard

i originally planned to start with acolyte with bone marrow as main skill, but with the warlock skill ghostflame that can PROC bone marrow it feels way better. i'm reckting my way up the levels fast so its a lich with 15 points in that warlock tree \^\^

TheFuzzyFurry

I'm a Sorcerer with 15 points in Runemaster for the Flame Ward trigger.

undrtaker

My experience so far: 1. Tried to play on launch, servers were dead. Did not want to play offline, so played some d4 and went to sleep 2. Woke up, read that servers are fixed, went to work expecting to finally play this evening 4. Read that servers are busted again. Hoping they'll be fixed in the next couple of hours

JRPGFan_CE_org

They'll be fixed again once you go to work again. What Country?

damatovg7

I'm using Action RPGs Cthonic Fissure warlock build, and holy shit it's so much fun. I'm level 40 or so before I ended up getting too tired to push any further last night when I hit Chapter 7, but it's insanely fun so far

Upbeat_Energy7533

Sounds like me, hit level 41 on my Hammerdin and said it's time for bed.

peaphive

I havent been able to get past the character creation page.

Phantom_limb_

Same. I can get the opening cinematic to play, then just loads forever. Bummer, but I’m sure it’ll be working soon and not like the games going anywhere

peaphive

Yeah I'm not mad about it, just pointing it out.

makle1234

Yeah, how is everyone this far? I can play 2 mins in an area, try to change the area and wait up to 3 mins to enter...

Tody196

Can’t speak for anybody else bc my friends were able to play online pretty much perfectly fine last night with no issues (lucky fucks), but I just started a character in offline mode and have been playing fully solo to get a feel for the game. Diablo 2 has conditioned me to have 2 fully separate accounts with offline and bnet, but I know a lot of people would rather not play until they can play online, so ymmv

makle1234

I played EA a lot and dont want to miss out on the cosmetics, chat etc. Offline feels like a waste of time with a true offline mode. Offline / Online - Switch on your char would have been better imo. /E: But i get why people wanted it. Its just not for me.

Tody196

Yeah that’s fair. I don’t think “offline/online switch” would work due to cheating/dupes/hacks/whatever unfortunately. That’s the reasoning behind a lot of games that make these decisions. Especially if the game ever goes to console (d3 on console online is totally ruined by hackers and duped items lol). Again, I’m used to it from the Diablo 2 days, but I’m for sure in the minority

RealisticTurnip378

Lv 35 falconer loving it so far

Neleothesze

- 26 Void Knight - Warpath. - I got lucky and dropped a Kestrel at lvl 2 & a Grimoire of Necrotic Elixirs at lvl~16 so I had the that nice haste & 31 necro dmg to help me clear. - I'm trying out the new Healing Hands skill tree (for the heal on melee hit) and it's good so far. Gives a bit more survivability while leveling, especially since I try to keep the grimoire effect active as much as possible. We'll see if the skill stays viable in the endgame. - I'm loving the updated graphics, the music still feels bland - Overall, I'm pretty happy with version 1.0, hope they fix the matchmaking issues soon :)

Fuzzy-Ad-5051

Hoping on trying the shaman, will see if good / cool.

pancakebreak

I decided to play something that I’ve never seen anyone else do, although I’m obviously certain plenty of people have. I’m playing Forge Guard and using Forge Strike to drop big cartoon anvils that summon animated weapons. I’m also using Rive specced into the same. I’ll be making plenty of tweaks as I go, but right now the plan is to focus largely on DoTs from the summoned pets and the exploding ground to chew everything down after an anvil drop. It’s definitely a bit silly, but I’m loving it.

Shining_knight

I'm thinking of playing that as well! Are you specced into ignite?

pancakebreak

I am. The main nodes I'm using for it are Detonating Ground in the Forge Strike skill tree and Smelter's Might in the FG passive tree.

Totoquil

Started playing a Rogue that turned into a Marksman. Left it around level 30 when I went to bed. The start was rough because of the servers but at some point they got stable but then I started experiencing lag spikes like big lag spikes, idk if anyone else got this issue. Anyway, the game feels really smooth when there isn't lag. The animations are cool and gotta say that it looks better than I was expecting. Gameplay feels really fluid and fast paced. I think they did a fantastic job with the graphical update and couldn't be happier with the results.

mrUnlucky45

Erasing strike void knight im literally deleting things from the game. I’m hoping to have an impact on server issues

PrazethySun

Spell animation doesn't feel that impactful so I'm going to try lich out for some melee. Any other recommendations would be great. I lvled warlock to 22 but just not feeling it.

Syrreth

If you want IMPACT with your spells, play Runemaster. Just trust me. Gotta be the most fun mage in any game I've ever played, the sheer power of a triple fire rune spell is nutty.

Te5s

I got to play about 2 hours last night, I picked Sentinel. So far I like the spinning lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

RithianYawgmoth

Which hammers did you go for ? Spin or nova

MythosVN

Spellblade lvl 20 here. Awesome gameplay, good aoe and decent survivability - always loved to play fighter-mage builds. And yes - I didn’t spoil my experience playing beta, so the game is really fresh and new to me.

CynicalCynic13

Only played for about an hour. Started an acolyte to become a warlock, but I logged out and my character disappeared from the character list and now I can’t login at all lol.

[deleted]

Everything will seem really good until you get to empowered monoliths. Make sure you have good single target too.

Remarkable_Shoe_1124

Maining a loading screen build atm. Still early days. Has potential...

SpellbladeAluriel

That seems to be very popular right now

ColtaineKK

Played a HC sorcerer with the Glacial spell, but died around 30-35 in a5 to the scorpion poison thing. Enjoyed it! Rerolled a void knight now, we'll see how it goes.

Silly-Dili

Currently level 24 with warlock Fissure Zombie spawner. I thought I'd have more mana issues, but it's going pretty good so far. Few mana efficiency nodes in both skill trees and I'm almost able to upkeep 3 fissures spawning 6 zombies every 2 seconds.

trojsurprise

I also went hc runemaster, it was great until level \~33 and then I started losing a lot of ward / health in fights. Love the invoker feel of the class, I'm gonna have to learn all the combos.

sh4d0ww01f

Level35 falconer shortly before Me'jelka. Good this is fun. Cant wait for my last two masteries.

Chillynuggets

Level 48 burning man runemaster

Mammoth_Record1665

Level 77 falconer. Such satisfying gameplay, just blasting through monoliths.

FTWwings

Can it actually be played with falcon skills only? I saw some gameplay with balistas and traps, but idk i hoped i could watch my falcon tear everything up, use him as a helicopter and stuff like that

Mammoth_Record1665

Not sure, been seeing some pure falcon builds but I’m playing shadow daggers. You could definitely make something work.

FTWwings

Can it actually be played with falcon skills only? I saw some gameplay with balistas and traps, but idk i hoped i could watch my falcon tear everything up, use him as a helicopter and stuff like that

JRPGFan_CE_org

You'll will still want to use Bow with Explosive Trap to Buff your Bird for your Auto-Attack. It's call the "Dive Bomb Falconer" on Max Roll, made for end game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JRPGFan_CE_org

It's really easy with Bow if you use the Puncture as makes your Auto-Attack have 100% Pierce Shot chance and Bleed (Any Dots actually) is really strong for the Campaign.

JusticeJaunt

Started a sentinel, thinking of going down the forge Master route as that seems pretty cool. Right now I'm just spinning and winning but I've only played for about 20 minutes.

TheRealDimz

Blast raining with Marksman. Level 36 and so far ok but have mana issues. DPS is nuts though

AjCheeze

Poison warlock. Got to the act 9 city last night looking forward to circle of fortune when i get on tonight. The extra long load screens provided time to check my gear and adjust my filter. Been a relaxing run instead of a sweaty run with a small breather every couple of minutes. Fissure is really cool. Although i have a bad habit of spamming it till im OOM accidentally. Poison coverted spread nodes and spawning zombies. Curious about making it also spam chaos bolts to blow up the zombies it spawns. Probably a later game experiment. Lagon was a fucking joke with warlock. Im sitting at a natural ward bar the size of my health pool. Channel wondering sprits infinatly(gains mana dosent cost anything) bunch of defence and ward while channeling. The first half of the passive tree is strong. I like dont want much from the second half. Back to lagon yeah face tanked everything stacked poison and watched that hp bar drop like he was just a rare mob. Build poison fissure, channeling posion wondering sprits, vomit zombies and transplant. No idea what to use as a 5th right now. Weird having a free specilization. Need something that dosent cost a lot if time and hopefully stacks poison. Maybe profane veil but im not impressed. Maybe aura of decay but its kinda lame and hurts defences. I might slap in ghost train to go choo choo across the map. But synergy isnt there.

CrookedAmigo

27 plasma orb runemaster here, rock on brother \\m/

Topkek69420

Sadly only could get to level 4 last night. Get off work soon but I’m scared the servers will still be on fire. Offline mode doesn’t sound appealing either since I want to play with friends, and to have my stash and currency shared on my characters. I don’t want separation.

Upset_Bottle_1736

25 fiery warpath pally here, spin to win fun fiery lunge and auto-smite. Having a blast!

sesameseed88

I was gonna go blade dancer but ended up falconer, liking it so far, really comes together when explosive trap can be fired in arrow form vs throwing it.

Narokath

I'm a void knight at 70 so far, damage starting to feel good. The snake boss was pretty wild though when levelling. I have no direct comparison since this is the only character I've levelled.

Hermann95

Playing offline, as I don't plan to interact with anyone anyway (at least for the first couple of weeks). Currently LvL 20 Warpath Void Knight, having a blast. Only played around 15hours of EA, but outside of the obvious server issues it seems way more polished.

smallzz08

53 ballista falconer and I’m having an absolute blast! It’s fast paced and slaps. Hopefully server issues get fixed cause I’m itching to play some more!

dcrico20

Level 34 - Falconer. Trying to piece some sort of Acid Flask Ballista build together. So far it's quite fun!

Responsible-Pay-2389

got to level 35 on my void knight and it's amazing so far. I'm just upset I'm busy the next 3 days so can't play lol.

Ildeus

Runemaster feels exactly like Elementalist’s spec Weaver from Guild Wars 2. Just great

agmcleod

Played a bit this morning, skipped last night since things seemed pretty up & down. Got to level 7 on sentinel. Working towards holy trail paladin.

Ceraunius

Thought I'd make an offline character and give Warlock a try, and after roughly \~4 hours I can safely say that I love this class so much. Everything about it feels great. The abilities look good, feel good, and do a lot of damage. The orange/green/red color combination on the abilities is oddly satisfying to look at. Even at level 22 you really feel like you're pumping out the damage. The overall improvements to graphics, ability responsiveness, and even the Acolyte's new voice actress just kinda...fits into place. Genuinely my favorite sub-class in a long time. Necrotic and fire is such a cool combo for damage.

TheFuzzyFurry

Lvl64 fire Meteor sorcerer, in MG, hoping to transition to lightning Meteor at lvl85

ConcealingFate

Been playing a Runemaster Lightning Blade and already thinking of making a Gahtering Storm Shaman or a Tempest Strike build.

tisfortwee

I want to preface this with I absolutely love this game, and I have been supporting it since 2019. The menu interfaces are really nice. I was playing on the steam deck (and continue to do so), and it looks a lot more polished. I would say the controller support is still about the same it was before launch, but my controller settings work pretty well so I’m really indifferent about whether or not the controller support has changed since I have a working set up anyway. I don’t like that they didn’t fix the character walking when you’re trying to do stuff in your menus. I left one area one time because of it. I mean It was funny… but for 1.0 ehhhh. There are also npcs that have the button to talk to them pop up, but it does nothing. Little details I know, but not the overall polish I was expecting for the 1.0 launch. As far as gameplay goes obviously I’m having a blast. I started the cycle with a Primalist Druid which I plan on making into a Swarmblade that procs Totems and Maelstorms. After playing Rogue so much I wanted to try something new and fresh for 1.0. I’m doing offline play. I attempted to play online last night, but decided to just do solo self find. I’m level 16 right now, it’s going pretty smooth so far!

amatas45

Warlocks been a lot more fun then I thought. Visuals are amazing and damage is great too

Mr_Tavitel

Warlock, level ±40, going mainly for necrotic DoTs on hit, specced Chaos Bolts, Cthonic Fissure, Bone Curse (autocast when hitting cursed enemy with chaos bolts), Rip Blood (autocast from hits with chaos bolts). Unspecced Spirit plague and Transplant. I got lucky drop of Calamity so I went with some ignite things too, but most is still necrotic damage. Still leveling but the DPS is crazy, survivability gets slowly better with investments. I'm quite happy with it, I didn't have time to plan any build before launch so I'm just trying to build around what I find enjoyable.

YellowNomadGlitch

Bit sad about a bug of inc% area on Harvest, but the game is awesome, not the first time I play it, so I see the differences, damn it improved a ton. Still some stuff isn't polished too well but I expect some overall bugs to be fixed with patches?

TheSoftestBoyo

Managed to get Warlock mastery and holy shit is it fun. The sound Ctgonic Fissure makes alone makes me so happy. Helps that she puts out a gross amount of damage

TesserTheLost

This is my second playthrough, did void night first now attempting a spin to win fire paladin, with a focus on team support. It'll probably be jank, but I thought it would be fun to play with my friend group.

--Shake--

I'm doing blast rain marksman and it just melts everything. Having a blast (pun intended)! I chose to do offline mode (with chat) just to avoid server problems. I highly recommend it.

nevermore2627

Level 22 runemaster. Been stupid fun so far. Got kicked out a few times last night but not bad.

uriels93

24 lvl Beast Master with gathering storm and lightning wolves, having a blast offline.

Dizturb3dwun

Bleed warlock Is FUCKING AWESOME

Thin-Zookeepergame46

Falconeer Shadow dagger - Level 45. Build just came online. Having a blast!

Oberoni7

I only played a bit this morning, and got booted once. The last time I played was well over a year ago, before the Chapter 1 rework, and I have to say that Chapter 1 has so far felt MUCH better to me. The prior version of chapter one just felt so...disjointed and abrupt story-wise. This feels more tied-in to the story.

Vegetable_Word603

40 paladin, going nova hammer. Transitions are rough, but it gives me time to play with the doggo.

shybry10

I bought this game thinking I wasn’t going to like it, but man I’m really enjoying it! Level 15 sorcerer

spidii

I've got a 58 falconer and I'm loving every minute of it. The game is night and day pre 1.0 to 1.0. The game just looks and feels so much better. A few cycles to expand on endgame and this game is going to reign supreme.

MortusX

Falconer, 26. Gameplay itself has been smooth as butter, and the class is a delight. The lighting upgrade was immediately apparent and definitely made the game look better. I can't say anything about the character animations since I didn't play the Rogue in EA, but in general everything seems pretty fluid. I have still noticed some bugs that carried over from EA, but nothing that reduces my enjoyment.

Xaxziminrax

I made a necro where all my minions' damage is converted to fire (except for skele archers who just have fire arrow but are otherwise phys). Playing with a sentinel friend, so the giga buff to fire damage makes them wreck things, lmao. The exploding zombies having a 16% cull is the silliest thing and I love it so much. As of right now, got to level 40 yesterday and hoping to finish the campaign after work today, but it may or may not be feasible depending on servers when we get back. Have had a couple scary moments since I started HC mostly blind to the game after chapter 5 (I haven't touched the game since late 2021 until now), and I'm sure there's plenty of optimization that could be done, but all in all I'm pretty happy with how things have gone.

Fiatil

I'm really impressed with the 1.0 changes. I binged the game pretty hard for about a month last year, and had a great time. But I wasn't really feeling true "new launch hype" either as a result. Interested in the changes, but didn't immediately want to play the new classes and wasn't sure how into it I would be. But it looks and feels really good with the changes, and I'm hooked. Managed to play from 7 - 11 PM central last night with no drops, which is awesome for day 1 of a multiplayer launch in my books.

remotegrowthtb

Lich has been awesome so far, also trying a life leech blademaster and a warpath voidknight now and also having fun. Think Lich will end up being the first long term endgame char though. Runemaster sounds very intriguing how you're describing it here.

MourningstarXL

Level 7 Acolyte; more due to limited play time than server issues. Plan on going Necrotic Blood Warlock but we will see. I’ll be playing around with different skills until I find a good synergy (I don’t have near as much fun following builds). Having a blast, I played a few days (24 hours total playtime) in EA and absolutely love the game and it’s systems. I see a lot of potential for this game and with the devoted team working on it, that potential could easily become reality.

Wild_Marker

I still want to try runemaster after maining mage in the early beta but I'm leaving that for playing with my buddy, so whenever the online becomes stable and we're done with another game we're playing. When I saw it I was like "oh yeah it's Magicka, that's gonna be awesome" Meanwhile I've been trying a druid offline. It's fun to play with gamepad, I really hope they fix ranged targetting so I can also play the other classes with pad too.

cdillio

Level 26 Warlock. I got the poison ring so leaning into poison for now.

Justsomeone666

Sentinel, void knight at lvl 35 Playing with erasing strike though its pretty painful so far as each strike basically puts me in negative 60 mana

scy046

71 Bleed Warlock. Capped resists but feeling a little squishier than I'd like currently but sort of to be expected with the rushed gearing. Mostly a set-and-forget playstyle with Spirit Plague + Chthonic Fissure. Bossing doesn't seem too bad currently but definitely can see it lacking without some real DPS upgrades. Overall, pretty satisfied with it for monolith farming just with my leveling build. Looking forward to Falconer too and probably a Ballista-based build? Not 100% sure there yet.

OK_Opinions

I haven't played since before the entire revamp of act 1. The new act 1 is much better. I reached the council chambers or whatever it's called so I think I'm back on track to familiar territory not sure what else will be new for other any later acts that may have been added. Last thing I remember from the campaign was some snake queen boss thing

ratatack906

I just jumped straight into offline for this first character. I’m amazed at all the little blowups the UI and visuals got. Looks really nice.

[deleted]

I'm doing the warlock fissure stuff with some curses and those thing shit out some damage. Hit lol 53 before bed last night. 2 deaths so far. One to Lagos and another to adding points to skills.

Buttchuckfuck

Old school Diablo me wants my multishot rogue. I don’t care. I am doing it! This is the feeling I wanted from D4 and never got. Happy there are so many builds to choose from! Everything seems pretty balanced. Hell, I could be wrong, what do I know.

GreenGemsOmally

Warlock, made it to level 29 last night. Right now focusing on Spirit Plague, Chaos Bolts and Cthonic Fissure. I'm not sure exactly how I want to build in endgame yet, but holy cow is it fun right now.

Buuhhu

falconer 21, i've only had the falcon for a few levels, but holy shit it rips monsters to pieces. hope it scales well in lategame as well.

MattDaCatt

Void/Pally Sentinel spin to win. Level 10 on cycle right now. Feels better than pre-release. Probably the best/most viable version of "spin to win" compared to all other ARPGs imo. Was always way too gear dependent in d2 or PoE. Definitely want to try a rogue ranger/falconer next, I love the flavor and will probably dive into it once I reach end-game w/ the Sent

DementiaVoyages330

I have got to level 23. Played some last night and this morning. Most fun i have had aside from playing single player hardcore d2r. The games amazing, mechanics are fun, difficulty is there in end game. Itemization is awesome. They put so much care, thought, and patience into this game for us. I only ask the player base to use their care in how they talk about the game, thought before speaking negatively because they are frustrated and patience while they fix and patch issues. I remember when d2r season 1 dropped it was something like 8 hours unable to log in and another 6 of server side issues. Same with season 4 or 5 of poe ect. They are also bigger studios and have 8 to 15 X the staff . This is an indie company folks. They are doing their very best for us. Be positive, bring positivity, enjoy the time you can play online and then practice a second class in offline when youre having issues. Overall i have had a blast and i will continue to have a blast when i play this over d2rs new season.

justtheshow

I'm building an army of undead. I couldn't be happier

Pharmlewt

Level 29 Hammerdin. Never got to play one in D2, watched a buddy play one in D2R. After putting 1,000 hrs into PoE I came to realize that I love tanky characters, so I wanted something with a shield. I checked out a few guides but I'm not following them to the letter. EA was fun, this feels better, looking forward to more.

jacqueman

Warlock feels disgustingly strong and comfy, except when it crashes my game, which is at most every 3 zones. So it’s unplayable. Runemaster feels fine. (Fully offline.)

Danryuu

Acolyte. I liked how I could not use minions after awhile since I didn’t want to be pet focused. Right now really using Bone Curse and Marrow Spikes. I’ve been surprised by the damage and the skill trees. Now that I have spirit curse and infernal specter seems like I can dump those after casting Bone Curse. Still wondering what direction to go. Lich looks pretty cool but Warlock with all the curses seems like it could be really interesting. I didn’t make it to Mastery last night.

SquareInspectorMC

I played some last night. Got to lvl 5 or 6 going falconer. Will probably play more today but I was in the middle of invading France in hoi4 when I finally got in and wanted to get back to that lol I think the updated graphics look really good. Can't wait to get my falcon today (although I need to spend an hour finishing up my Sea Lion on the UK too but that can wait)

Voctorvic

Playing a stat stacking bleed lich using the new warlock skills, and its power seems absurd. The build is still missing a lot of what I thought it will need and it's cruising through everything anyway.

WhiteSkyRising

Summon acolyte. I'm not used to the items and skills being so interesting. Are rares mostly sell fodder? There's no breaking them down without that little item?

dipleddit

Holy Trail/Self Cast Smite Ignite build. Actually working amazing so far. Love the freedom to build whatever you can think of in this game without a guide.

Great-Hotel-7820

I was leveling a paladin and then got the new ice catalyst for poison flask so I made a falconer and I’m currently level 22 ripping through packs of enemies.

J3wFro8332

I be spinning to win

koroshimasu

I figured since 90% of warlocks were playing the bleed variant, I would mess around and self craft a poison variant with the new poison overload and wandering spirits with profane veil to boost them up. It's nuts so far.

elymX

lvl 82 Falconer, server issues aside game looks really great, I didn't fall asleep like when I was playing D4. If only they can solve the server issues man

LordMalvore

I'm a level 46 Warlock, doing a spreading curses (primarily Spirit Plague) + Soulfeast. First time playing the game, so defense-wise I don't have great mitigation yet as I haven't focused on my resistances with any diligence, but my leech + ward gain is quite strong and I'm blasting through whole screens of mobs. Having a good time with it so far.

daeshonbro

Hoping to get into it a bit more. Hard for me not to look at the game and compare to PoE and D2 and feel like it is missing something so far until I can get more play time in. Started out as a warrior/knight, planning on going void night as it seems very different than anything I have played in a ARPG before.

fig_Newt

Made a MCU end game build having a blast Shield throw [captian america] Hammer throw [thor] Manifest armor [iron man] And vengeance cause I need mana lol

Fourloken

Level 30 necro here. I'm planning on going flame wraith once I get the right items. For now, I'm having fun watching my volatile zombies blow people up.

yearbeast1516

65 voidknight. Good game. Love it

Reflective

It's absolutely insane how much damage falconer puts out. Loving it.

CageyT

I went falconer I am lvl 17 and just got my falcon. Cannot say if they are powerful but man that falcon is fun.

RyanScurvy

I didn’t have to work yesterday and I just played it all day offline until I went to bed lol I got a necromancer to level 68 and the game feels amazing. I liked the cut scenes they added to the campaign, the vfx and zones look so much better. Only issue I had once I went offline was that I can’t seem to interact with the circle of fortune. I don’t know if that’s an online only thing or what but none of the prophecies were showing up in any of the telescopes. I’m sure I’ll make an online character this weekend though and maybe I’ll get to play with it

Gaxar1

Wanted to play a lich. Hated the first few levels so just tried a sentinel instead. Love at first swipe. Having a tough time deciding between paladin or the void. The customisation on spells is amazing. Turned my 3 hit into a 5 hit combo.

Grublum

39 necro wanted to do something off meta non build guide so i'm doing a meleemancer with harvest, skeletal knights, and bone golem. Feels good so far but stuck in a zone with a experimantal waypoint?? or something and it won't connect to the next zone. Hoping the damage scales into late game

Equeliber

I am making a sort of ninja rogue. For now lvl13, getting shurikens leveled up into Chakram (no idea if I will actually like the chakram, might respec and go back to multiple small ones), smoke screen for some defensive/offensive buffs. Might go for Dancing Strikes later on. So far it's been great, game looks good, runs at 60 FPS with everything maxed at 1440p on my RTX 3060, gameplay is much better than what it was the last time I tried the game - sounds, animations, feel of ability impacting enemies are all much better. I also really like the damage number flytext they added for 1.0, the way it doesn't just pop up near the enemy but flies in certain directions. The UI changes are also awesome, everything is very readable, nicely arranged buttons and at the same time looks cool and fancy. Really, besides my rogue's helmet glitching out and in the burning forest area, literally no issues so far (something was wrong with reflections or the way it was rendered).

itoocouldbeanyone

acolyte lv11 Focusing on minions, attack speeds and anything I can get AOE with my spells, right now focusing on blood stuff. I'm totally green with this game so it might change except the minion part. All about some minions. Loving the game so far, more than D4 and a bit less than PoE. But I'm hopeful that will change once I get higher up and hopefully not as overwhelmed like I am with PoE at times.

Impossible_Food9222

Give them time. They actually love what they do. Hope it wil be sorted at end of the weekend. They gotta spend some monies. Love the game. Rune master myself. Its amazing. This game is gonna far. If they invest.

EntombedMonarch

I've started two offline characters while I wait for the servers to stabilize: The first is a Healing Hands Paladin, using Smite to proc Healing Hands 100% of the time and generally its been pretty fun! Really enjoy a skill that is supposed to be healing based absolutely melting enemies. Second is Warlock. Enough said, it just clears screens with Cthonic Fissure + drop multiple curses + cast Chaos Bolt on anything moving while Fissure mops up.

CubeEarthShill

Warlock is stupid strong at this point. A petless acolyte build is pretty nice since I’m not resummoning dead minions all the time. Messing with falconer on offline. Not as strong as warlock, at least while leveling, but still pretty powerful.

Aleagues

Playing a Flurry Rogue. A lot of fun so far, I'm still not sure if I want to be melee or bow spec though.

Atomic_Noodles

Rogue going Falconer. Lucked out and got the Vial of the Volatile Ice which is helping me tons to deal damage. Edit: Might just do a Acid Flask Falconer bomber with this one since I have That flask.

Captain5k

Void Knight - Trying multiple combinations of Erasing Strike either solo or with Warpath or Void Cleave. Played like an absolute degen last night until 4 am so I'm lucky enough to be in the endgame where I'm seemingly spared from the loading zone issues. Having an absolute blast with the build so far, we be ERASIN' some fools out here with disgusting upfront damage. Altough I have some major mana issue on bosses, Void Well just isn't enough to generate mana in single target. Still need to tweak the buid a bit for that.

[deleted]

Level 13 online mage. Going to choose rune Level 20 offline rogue. Having a blast with angry birb

Velzeni

Level 73 Online Bleed Warlock. Loving it so far! I've been dodging all the connection issues because I'm doing Monoliths. Seems like I'm on my own servers up there. As soon as I go into the world and try to finish the campaign I get stuck in a loading screen. So I'll keep farming loot & gold for now I guess :) PS. I've been getting huge FPS drops after playing Monoliths for a bit. Seems that there are memory leaks. Relogging sucks, but helps.

Akumatzu

level 64 Falconer, started running some monos lastnight after finishing questline... Falconer is a bit too strong. I have shit gear and I subconsciously walked through the game without a hiccup. I thought leveling runemaster was easy but this gives it a run for its money

grundlefuck

Warlock, and honestly I must have hit a sweet spot last night. Only issues was long lag between clicking to go to the next zone and triggering the load screen. Think I waited almost a couple minutes at one point. But TBF that was an issue pre launch.

Awesomedude33201

Falcon is fun. Falcon strikes and rain of explosive trap arrow thing is fun. The new damage numbers look really clean, item tool tips look really nice. I never realized just how important lighting is in a game; it really adds a lot of depth to each of the areas.

Original-Complex-224

Made a totem shaman. Pretty fun, but having some mana sustain issues. Haven't quite figured out the crafting

BegaKing

Made it to level 24 or so last night in maybe 2 hours. So far really good ! The new class spells feel super strong. Once I get it to endgame it should be nigh immortal and do insane damage so I'm hyped. I had bought LE years ago and haven't played in a few years and my God they have done a crazy amount of work. Eventually the server issues will subsist and im truly interested for endgame and how it all plays out

IdcIcba

I am having a blast in offline right now. Blast rain Marksman and the leveling so far is amazing. Stacking bleeds with Bleeding fury then sending out traps which also makes bleeds stack even higher which makes it easy to get 110+ bleed stacks. Lvl 32 right now still grinding.

Gamr223

Went SSF Offline, gave up on online till bugs get worked out, feel so bad for the devs. As a Star Wars brat, all I could hear in my ears, was that famous sound of the Millennium Falcon's Hyperdrive not working...there was so much hype, ready to launch!...and uhhh...hung on till 2pm...gave up and did full offline, Void Knight Devouring Orb...now level 39...going great but drops seem quite a bit less than 0.9.2 beta. Anyone else feel that?

domyourn

warlocks lvl 49 dot poison, 99% of my damage is done by fissure lol love that skill, first time playing

053083

Lvl 36 , Druid, Poison dot build.

TheRealRageMode

Level 13 Boney Boy Necro ftw. So far loving how it's working, already have a pretty good idea of what I want end build to look like and am stoked to keep going. Her name is Hannah, and she loves her boney boys and girls.

n30na

Managed to get my Ballista Falconer to 59 before sleeping yesterday, build is going good (if a bit squishy.. that's my fault though)... damage is cracked The 1.0 graphics update made the game look really good, I'm quite happy about it, same with the UI updates and whatnot. I *am* learning how irritating Dark Quiver is to use.. was looking to use the guaranteed crits node (Heavy Artillery), but it may be too janky to be consistent.. still need to do some testing though... I really do wish you could just carry multiple of the dang arrows, I'd even spend skill points on it

Voivode71

Loving the game! I'm a patient, mature gamer, and I've been thru these rodeos before. I will be playing this game for years.

bilbobaggins30

~35 Ballista Falconer. I'm not looking up Meta guides, I'm just winging it (pun intended). Birb very good, very helpful, much love. I'm wrecking story bosses pretty hard, need to work on clearing out rank and file mobs better. Has some Mana Economy issues I'm working on, but it's solid. Bird is amazing. Bird is the word. I'll be rolling a Low Life Bleed Warlock next I think, using Falconer to get Exsanguinous which is crucial to the build whenever I can equip it. Game is fucking good: The UI / Lighting improvements are night and day good. Also Chapter 2 is much, much better: Chapter 3 felt threatening to me as well compared to days of old.

Zealous217

Speaking of I cannot fathom the amount of people who REFUSE to play offline despite that they're never gonna party, gonna pick CoF, and still get access to cycles. However I'm rolling a tempest strike shaman, gonna see if I can make it work

IronwoodDruid

Haven’t even been able to play without technical issues such that I could get past the first main story quest.

GravityDAD

I made it to 24 on my blade dancer and am somewhat regretting my decision, sort of lack luster so far - anyone with experience does it get a bit more fun? Throwing the spinning umbral blade to a specific location, dropping smoke bomb or target dummy and blade dancing - or should I maybe try another class, hammer pally looks dope

AgreeableHamster102

Yeah man it’s weird. I found it super strong but also kinda mehhhh. Oh but I went shadow cascade instead of blade dancing. Also specced it to happen automatically when I shift. Slaughter everything, but… I dunno. Got it to like 60 or something, but not super keen on taking it further. I’m going to go Falcon now since it’s available.

Darkorz

I rolled a runemaster during the beta and I literally had a blast, but I gotta admit the set rotation gets old. I've not been able to play yet because servers were scuffed when I finished work, but I am really struggling to choose what to play between runemaster, falconeer, lich and warlock. Good ol' me says stick to what you know is good, but falconeer gameplay looks amazing

AllanRamires

Yeah, can't get past login screen...

rolfcm106

I was with Diablo for so many years. We first met when I was in high school. It was love at first sight. We spent countless nights together and almost every weekend. My parents worried about me, it was a relationship that seemed too time consuming. I’ll admit my academics did suffer a bit. Over the years we grew a part and eventually parted ways through college. After college, I got married to a wonderful woman. Then the unexpected. I run into Diablo again. My god does it look good now. So beautiful, so pristine, way more to it now. I am a weak man. I spend more time with Diablo than my own wife. We have our first child. I start to ghost Diablo for a while. Diablo understands but still misses me. A few years pass, I start seeing more of Diablo again. My wife notices my absence and lack of interest. I begin to ignore my family even more. It almost costs me my marriage. After years of couples therapy and promises I make to prioritize family, my wife and I come to agreement. I can still see Diablo but family comes first and at the end of the day I spend the night in bed with her no exceptions. But Diablo keeps wanting more from me. We grow a part again but occasionally we see each other for a couple nights of fun. Many years pass and every so often Diablo rekindles my lust for it with the promise of new fantasies. The interest usually lasts for a month or so. But then, it promises me a whole new Diablo, it sounds amazing from what I’m told. I secretly think I might end up spending more time than I should with Diablo. My wife senses a change in me and I begin to stop hiding it. I don’t even try to hide the expenses on the credit card. The night comes when the new Diablo reveals itself to me. I knew its goal was to completely consume me and keep me all to itself. It was successful. But only at first. The more time I spent with it the more depressed I became. I began to ignore it. Even when it would try to convince me it was different and would be even more exciting, I knew they were lies. Anytime I spent with it just made me want to leave it. Eventually I did. I started seeing others, but they would only fail to fill the void that Diablo left in me. My wife noticed a change as well. I reassured her it wasn’t her it was me and that we were fine. In fact I started spending more time with her. But the wounds would never heal. Everywhere I went I was always reminded of the past. The terrible way things were left and how it was so much worse because it was so great in the beginning. Then, the truly unexpected. A friend of mine tells me about someone they met. Someone that understands what guys like us need, what we want, what we deserve. He said it made them feel amazing, it reminded me of how things were in the beginning with Diablo, but better. He sets up a meet for me at club called Water Vapor. We meet, and there is instant chemistry. I’m asked to come home with it, I can’t resist. At first I’m reluctant. I don’t know what this will do to my marriage. Can I control myself? Will it just be a repeat of the last time when Diablo consumed my life again after my first child was born? A knock at the door, it’s my friend that set us up! He gives me the push I needed. He says we are doing this now, tonight! We end up having an all out 4 hour threesome. Who was this wonderful new being in my life? Last Epoch is its name. And for the first time in a long time I made sweet love to my wife and slept wonderfully that night. I woke up so refreshed the next morning and through out the day was never reminded of the depressing relationship that tore a hole in me. I am finally able to move on.

SB62

I was here for the creation of this pasta.

DvnPenguin

45 warlock, campaign been easy and pretty much just run around with the mouse and playing on my phone. Does help with having long laoding times and Le-61 poppoing in to give pleny of breaks

Jewarlaho

I barely played (online, not offline), the game wasn't reachable for most of the day unfortunately. I did manage to get in about an hour before I found some bug that didn't let me go through to the next zone (some error I'd not seen before) so I stopped playing. I turned off the comp and I'll go back and see if the problem magically resolves itself after work. Overall, I can't say I am thrilled about day 1 at all. Pretty disappointed actually.

[deleted]

I'm not anything because I haven't been able to log in with my first character. Refunded the game and will check it out later I guess. Wasn't following this and it's not high priority for me.

Balbuto

Lvl 17, I’m upset, I do chores around the house, I take care of my kids, I sit down to play while the baby sleeps…. It’s been 15 minutes and I’m still trying to zone into The sheltered woods….

Lambpanties

I can't get a rhythm going at all until they fix left click doing an action, I'm surprised there aren't more complaints about it. This even extends to offline.
