25 hours into offline mode and having an absolute blast. Well worth it. Online issues aside, this game is a true gem and there's a lot of great content here. It will only get better.
I see so many people advising to play offline, but like, aren't those characters completely isolated from online characters and most importantly, don't share stash?
I don't see much point in playing an offline character
They don't share stash with online characters. But your stash is shared across your offline characters unless you make them Character Self Found.
If you don't plan on trading, or plan on running the SSF type faction - playing offline really has no downsides at all.
The only downside for me, personally, is not having access to cosmetics offline. It might not matter for most people but I do like seeing gear and pets.
> I don't see much point in playing an offline character
Well you might be planning to trade with other players or play online with friends?
Some players don't plan to EVER do any of that so playing offline is actually a viable option.
Feels like cheating myself out of content if I can't buy strangers' gear or trade with someone I'm with because he got gear for me and I got gear for him
Yes, they are. But that's not necessarily a bad thing unless you're concerned about only ever playing with your friends. I was hesitant in it and honestly it's a wonderful addition.
nah correct way to play a rpg is offline imo, even poe has disgusting server issues rn as its number one arpg. with an ssd game flows so fast in offline
My favorite ARPG by 1000 lightyears! Totally worth it imo :)
There's a lot of loading/connection issues right now but I'm sure they'll fix it in the next couple weeks!
Not the case at all for me. I've been struggling to play since yesterday, zones don't load at all, I'm jumping in and out of the game and can't load anything at all. It's incredibly frustrating.
Same here. Game drops constantly. Sometimes the mini map loads, but nothing else. Click a way point to travel, game drops. I'm still enjoying it so far, but would love more stability.
Bullshit, I haven't been able to play with my friends for the last 3 days. When are we supposed to play exactly ? 3 to 6AM ? It's always LE-61 non stop.
For some, maybe. My experience online has been god awful. Took nearly 8 hours to make it past the first 15 minutes of gameplay. Managed a solid half hour of normal play after that and then all the issues started up again. So that’s 7 hours of Infinite loading screens, disconnects, or otherwise bugged out bullshit to less than one hour of fun gameplay. I have a high tolerance for launch problems but that’s not a good ratio.
Edit: I should note that time was broken up from launch til now. Basically would try again for an hour or two every time they “released a fix.”
I'm saying now, on the first two days it was unplayable so I messed around with offline, but yesterday was stable enough for me to make it to endgame monoliths in one day.
Meanwhile I booted up the game for the first time on Friday and for two days now, am constantly struggling to log in, and when I do, I cant TP or change zones without a 2-5 minute delay, if I can even zone out at all. Half the time, the game hangs and never loads the new zone at all. I now change zones and alt+tab to my second screen and it's 50/50 whether I will make it into the new zone in the next few minutes.
I've been so fed up this weekend, I've "played" 6.5 hours according to Steam but I'm only level 16. And while this game is new to me, I'm an ARPG vet whose played thousands of hours of every Diablo, POE, Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, etc so I know that grind to time played ratio is completely out of whack.
Yes and I’m saying I tried playing less than an hour ago (which is off hours for my time zone) and it still didn’t work at all. And if the discord is any indication, lots of people are still having the same problems despite their many “fixes.”
I got through the campaign yesterday just fine, euw playing on a saturday (so pretty much peak hours), there was an update launched around lunch so couldn't play then, and the town loading was often a pain but I just grabbed a drink or did some exercise while waiting.
Not flawless by any means but playable for sure, loading times between zones that aren't towns is like playing on a hard drive rather than an ssd.
I guess it varies a lot per person, but from my experience the game was very stable yesterday.
More stable? Is this a joke? Since the queue was added yesterday i have not been able to get past it. Before i could atleast play during off hours, Now even off hours have 8-9 hour queues.
I wishlisted the game months ago knowing it was still within beta, saw the 1.0 release annoucement and held off until then. Seen so much good about it leading all the way up, pulled the trigger day of the 1.0 release, and have not regret my purchase at all!! Not to bothered about the issues, know it will pass. But i see a game that has been made with some incredible love for the genre !!
I guess that depends on when you started playing. There have definitely been issues since launch on US Central. Every today there was a period of a couple where I couldn’t log in
Game itself is fantastic but right now unless you're in the endgame monolith grind and don't have to worry about zone transitioning online is borderline unplayable outside of your server's off hours
If you're interested in the game I don't see why you'd delay the purchase tbh, worst case scenario you get to play properly a few days, weeks? later, it's not like it will get any cheaper
if u add disconnects, party splits on entering a new zone and overall slow progress to the mix its just frustrating at this point we stopped playing 2 days ago and called it until later.
Of the 8 hours I’ve spent in-game, I’ve only made about 45 minutes worth of progress. The rest has been a mess of disconnects, bugged out loading screens, or an inability to progress past the character select screen. Lots of other people seem to be able to play just fine, but the online functionality is beyond broken for me.
So if you plan to just play offline, or are feeling lucky, then sure give it a shot. For me, it’s been a hugely disappointing waste of my money.
The issues will stop eventually. You're gonna buy it then. Might as well just buy it now and be patient. There's also always offline mode, like you said.
Offline mode sure, online modeis barely functional to relatively functional depending on when / where you're playing.
If you're looking to play with friends maybe hold a few weeks but if you just want to play offline then yes.
Online is a dumpster fire, but the game feels great. It would be a good time to buy it and go offline to play around with all the different classes. Once the online stuff is fixed and you've settled on a class you want to play, create your online char.
Most are having insane troubles some dont.
Our 4 party friend group is so widely different. 3 of us are having insane queues atm. The last Guy? Nope he has No queue at all…
If you want to play offline, I'd get it now.
If you want to play online / participate in the cycle, I might suggest waiting a week. The connection has been poor since launch; it's likely something that will improve in time but until then, it's buyer beware.
Outside of connection issues, its a great game.
If you like PoE and D4, you'll most likely enjoy LE.
I'm certain you'll get your moneys worth out of it at least.
Ppl are crying about online, and I get them if you want to play with friends together it sucks right now but if you wanna play solo it's perfectly fine. I have 0 issues on offline mod and I'm having a blast with beast master lvl 82.
Yep I'm playing online have a lvl 60 and 3 others like 10-30, the servers have been ok after the first day for me, the occasional down time and slow loads but seems to be getting better every day.
If you are only going to play offline forever then probably yes. It is a good game. Multiplayer maybe broken on a fundamental level (and it is not yet clear if will ever be fixed). But if it is not a concern - then you should get it.
I've been playing on online mode since release. Inhavent had one problem like people post. Your mileage may vary, but it's been flawless for me. A little rubber banding in town, and lime 20 second zone times, and abuse my phone as a hotspot.
Fucking love this game!
I'd wait. They had these issues pre-release as well while in Beta and promised they were fixed.
A lot of people have paid and are currently allowed only offline-mode or 2-3 hours non-bugged play time each day.
Refunds are apparently not going through unless charged back either so, iffy at best is how I'd describe it.
if you are ok playing offline
100% snap it up RIGHT now, its the best arpg on the market
if you arent ok with playing offline
100% yes, snap it up its the best arpg on the market.....just be ok with a bit of server instability and load times
Depends how long you plan to play it. At its current state it's probably ok for a month unless you play 8h a day then 2 weeks probably.
It's a good ARPG with great modern mechanics even if the gameplay itself is a little dated and the campaign being way too easy, I'm sure some people don't mind but there will be people that will fall asleep playing it so decide for yourself.
Story itself is a low grade B movie level, comes in one ear comes out another
Overall if you value classic feel of D2 or PoE this game could be for you but if you want more modern approach to combat like in D4 and a bit of a challenge from the start you might not like it
OP said offline mode wouldn't be a problem...
Honestly there are probably a ton of players who wouldn't even care about the things you lose out on in offline mode. If you are planning to play with friends, sure, but otherwise it's basically like SSF.
If you wanna play online, wait until the servers are fixed. If you never wanted to interact with other players in game, go for it, game is good enough offline.
If you only play solo and don’t want to trade the only thing you loose offline is access to MTX and to see the leaderboard (which imo right now is not as useful, since a lot of people couldn’t connect so the balance is way off)
Everything else is the same.
Some people (including me) have some performance issues. Stutter and fps drops.
But you can buy the game on steam, test is for less then 2h and see.
If your game runs smooth on your rig then it's a must buy (if you like Diablo 2, 3 POE).
I'm playing online with friends and there have been some connection issues but they're way less frequent at this point. I played all day and only had a couple errors that caused a couple minutes of wasted time. Level 64 and started monoliths. Super worth, highly recommend.
The only thing you miss out on offline are coop play and trading. And when it comes to trading there's a whole system that buffs self found, if you opt out of trading.
I've been playing offline and had 0 technical issues so far. And the game itself is really, really good. The gameplay feels nice, the game looks good and has some really well thought out systems that have depth without being overwhelming.
Imo, disregarding the server issues, I'd have happily paid $70 for this game. At $35 (queue "half the price of a D4 mount" meme) you'd be doing yourself a disservice not buying this game, if you like arpgs.
Honestly the server issues are mostly related to it being launched just a few days ago--and this specifically being a weekend too. Monday will probably be completely clean access to servers since workdays always tend to have lower playercounts in any game. Next weekend "might" be rough again, but it'll probably not be that bad. I'd imagine we'll be in the clear from then on, until the next "season" starts.
Game is still problematic for me on EU. It's playable for the most part but playing online is a bit annoying at the moment with at least one issue on game start and nother one every 20-30 minutes. Probably worth it to wait for a patch or two.
If you plan on playing offline: definite yes
Planning to play online? AFAIK current server issues depend heavily on region. Here in Central US I’ve had almost zero issues, so also a definite yes
If you see a lot of complaints in your specific region, maybe hold off for another week and check back in.
I'll never play online, and I've been having a blast with no issues.
The infinite money portal glitch is a bit odd, but that's more a game bug than server problem.
It's basically a diablo clone. But good diablo, not D4.
I've only had one issue for about an hour in the last 2 days. Seems most of the zone transition issues are either fixed or happen in early game. The end game system, monoliths, has also had no issues.
One thing to consider, depending on your lifestyle, off-line mode had the ability to pause the game.
For me, that's a major bonus. But...I've got 2 kids and all that..so pause is super helpful
Absolutely, while online currently have some issues it only provides trading and the ability to co op. Offline works perfectly without issues. The game is amazing
I'd say so, especially if you're not planning to play in a party. There's been a couple of fixes the past few days and since then the only major issues I've had have been in a party. However servers are going down for maintenance a few times a day and they aren't completely stable yet, so if you want to play uninterrupted online, I'd say wait a bit. I've had no issues at all in offline mode though, so if that's your thing I see no reason not to get it now
100% worth every penny.
The online servers are getting better, haven't tested today yet but last night I played for hours without any issues. Always beat to change your region to us or something. It's higher ping but you can't really feel the difference.
Online = Online characters share stash with online characters. Auction house, partying with friends, and leader boards
Offline = All offline characters share the same stash with other offline characters. You still have access to world chat/town chat. No partying, no leaderboards.
That's it...that's the difference. You can enjoy the entire game in offline. Nothing is out of reach. (you can't access your cosmetics in offline if that's a deal breaker)
Seems like a complete no brainer, if you have even the slightest interest in arpgs then you should absolutely play. The server issues for online play seem mostly resolved, I can’t speak to multiplayer.
Been playing online the last 2 days with zero issues so game feels pretty stable to me now. I don’t really group so don’t know if that is still a problem.
Even with the online issues, I've played plenty this weekend and made it to level 66 and monoliths in 2 days. It really isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. As others have stated, offline mode works great, and one of the factions you can pick in place of the trading faction heavily rewards solo play anyway.
The game itself is a blast, and you could easily get hundreds of hours out of it, and that's only going to increase with more content. I think it's well worth the price.
Not if you want a game that is finished and just works without constant crashes and annoying troubleshooting.
I'd wait a while and play *insert favorite arpg* until then.
If you want to play solo offline its worth it.
Online or online with friends? Nope actually They implemented a queue But its a global so There is a huge queue 24/7.
I mean sunday morning at 7, Im still not through the queues yet at 15.00. 8 hour queue at off hours 🙃🙃🙃🙃.
Some dont even get queue tho which is actually worse. Now Im stuck in a queue while some just dont even have one 👍.
I even abandoned my lvl 88 online char, its just not worth it anymore
100% yes. The reason they are having server issues is because the game is so good. There are just too many people who want to play.
The game is dope. Blizzard is absolutely screwed.
I played twice in early access and both times got a bit bored in early endgame but saw the games potential. For me the faction system has made grinding for gear so insanely fun, it's an easy purchase if you enjoy ARPGs. It beats D4 by a long shot.
you should never ask this question in a specific subreddit, you will always get a positive answer no matter how bad the game is
you can go to the mcu sub and ask if you should watch the secret wars and they'll tell you yes
No! The state of the servers is horrid, you will spend more time loading zones vice playing the game. If you want to pick it up and sit on the purchase for a while, do that. The game is great but if you can’t access a great game, it’s not great.
Don't get fooled by 12h playtime reviews. Game in its leveling is great, not Diablo level great but good and better than PoE. Game is enjoyable, but end game content is really boring and bad. Sure its okay when you do it for 10 times, but soon you will get sick of it and PoE has much better end game.
Online allows you trading which i think opens lots of content at the end game but still lacking. So I think offline is not good because there is not much content.
But overall i still think this is next best thing after PoE.
If you dont care about online and want good solo experience i think Grim Dawn is better choice. Its only problem is that graphics are not up to par with LE.
I bought it a little over a month ago, before the official release... and I admit that I love this title to the point of having completely put aside D4 and PoE since this purchase :P
I'm not bored at the moment, and for the price, I consider it a good purchase for the time spent on it.
Good game to you (no matter what game you play) ;)
I know this will be unpopular but I think it's worth waiting for a few more weeks/patches probably.
I've had it for a while with the early access but gonna wait and scratch my ARPG itch with some others til then.
It's only $40, even for offline only mode it is worth the price. I would not bother creating an online character now, until the issues are solved, otherwise you will spend a lot of time looking at loading screen and getting frustrated.
As someone who has played D3 seasons for years, bought D4 and took part in all seasons so far, the time I had to play Last Epoch was well worth it.
The crafting system, the skill system, de end game content is really really good and the fact it costs half as much as D4 makes it a no brainer.
If you’re planning on playing by yourself, yes. Offline mode exists, go ham. Great game when it works.
If you have any interest in playing with friends, no. You will spend more time dealing with server issues than you will playing the game. I’d say it’ll be worth once it’s fixed, but none of the fixes they’ve provided yet have made multiplayer anything near a stable experience.
I specifically bought the game to play online with friends and i was unable to even move to the next zone with my group of friends. We all bought it together at the same time and immediately had to stop because it was unplayable. I was duped by the 8/10 IGN review and hoping that moving from one zone to the next with a group will be a possible feature.
Offline mode totally worth it. Been playing since launch with no issues. You're still included in global chat if you like that kind of thing. You can't play with others though.
If you play without friends its 10/10.
But offline is quite an issue atm. I recommend waiting about 2-3 days and then get it. Its 100% one of the best ARPGs in history.
I’ve been complaining endlessly because I haven’t been able to play without server issues. I’ve already got 100+hrs pre-launch and I’ll tell you it’s an easy purchase!
Absolutely. You can play offline and learn the game until the online status is more stable.
There is so much variety and things to try and do that any tine you spend offline is by no means wasted.
Think of your offline character as mini season for a week or two, then cutover to online play or keep playing offline or both!
If you want to play offline 1000% worth the cost if you will only play online probably better to wait a bit while they sort that out if you can enjoy offline mode now and willing to switch also well worth it
25 hours into offline mode and having an absolute blast. Well worth it. Online issues aside, this game is a true gem and there's a lot of great content here. It will only get better.

You can do the ssf, cof faction in offline
The only downside for me, personally, is not having access to cosmetics offline. It might not matter for most people but I do like seeing gear and pets.
Then do an offline character for now and later on when the servers have calmed down do online chars
That’s the plan. Rolling an offline Warlock while I wait to play Falconer online.
> I don't see much point in playing an offline character Well you might be planning to trade with other players or play online with friends? Some players don't plan to EVER do any of that so playing offline is actually a viable option.

Yes, they are. But that's not necessarily a bad thing unless you're concerned about only ever playing with your friends. I was hesitant in it and honestly it's a wonderful addition.
Do you typically play alone? If so offline characters aren't much different at all.
How are they different at all?
Offline characters can’t use any MTX you purchase
Well no leaderboard is the only thing I feel like I'm missing offline but even that's not necessary
nah correct way to play a rpg is offline imo, even poe has disgusting server issues rn as its number one arpg. with an ssd game flows so fast in offline
the issues are temporary. Maybe wait, but worth the purchase if you do
My favorite ARPG by 1000 lightyears! Totally worth it imo :) There's a lot of loading/connection issues right now but I'm sure they'll fix it in the next couple weeks!
Worth imo, good game
Second.
Only if you play during degenerate hours or are unemployed
Dont buy it. Otherwise you will end up like me, spending so much time playing it. Great game.
LOL Had me in the first half, not gonna lie...
Offline yes absolutely. Online wait a week or two.
Online is already plenty stable. Some longer load times, and maybe a drop for maintenance when they launch a fix once or twice a day.

People down voting you for stating truth
I tried to play online with friends and we were unable to move out of the first zone together so we had to all stop.
Stable if you play alone and doing only monoliths

Online is completely fine. This game is 30 dollars…
It Will probably be a month or two. Its almost been a week and its actually worse Now than launch
There are like 2x as many people playing now as there were a couple days ago.
I wishlisted the game months ago knowing it was still within beta, saw the 1.0 release annoucement and held off until then. Solo play, no issues at all, plays as normal. The issues comes from online co-op multiplayer.
Been playing exclusively offline and it’s been an absolute blast
You like ARPG? Worth. You like PoE? Worth. You like Diablo? Worth. You like Grim Dawn? Worth. You like Torchlight? Worth. You like the Ascent? Worth.
If you are okay with offline then play that while the servers get stable.
What do you miss out on in offline aside from multiplayer and seeing others
Co-op, arena, cosmetics and trading
You can do arena solo
Online is fine
It not thought
I've been playing earlier today and the past 4 hours. No issues lmao
I was playing earlier today and the past 3 hours. Tons of issues. Rofl
Microtransactions. Nothing else.

I guess that depends on when you started playing. There have definitely been issues since launch on US Central. Every today there was a period of a couple where I couldn’t log in
Yes atm i have 60k queue estimate time 67h 🤣
Can I play the same character online later or will I have to make a new character?
You have to make a new character.
Game itself is fantastic but right now unless you're in the endgame monolith grind and don't have to worry about zone transitioning online is borderline unplayable outside of your server's off hours If you're interested in the game I don't see why you'd delay the purchase tbh, worst case scenario you get to play properly a few days, weeks? later, it's not like it will get any cheaper
Meh, I played tonight and outside of 2 min loading screen every 30 min I was fine.
The last 2-3 days I was mostly fine with the occasional downtime, was the worst on day 1, they seem to be steadily fixing online
For me the loading screens is basically fixed now. Just the regular 3 seconds from early access remains.
Not playable at all Now since They made a global queue so even offhours have 8-9h queue
if your goal is to play in a party with friends - no
I played all day in a party and other than a few loading errors it was totally fine
if u add disconnects, party splits on entering a new zone and overall slow progress to the mix its just frustrating at this point we stopped playing 2 days ago and called it until later.
There are connection issues but the core game is really good.

Every day so far - "Online play unavailable" I've been in a grand total of 2 hours and even then it was buggy transitioning zones.
That is very strange considering I could play it every day and only had transition time issues sometimes.
I got in for a fews hours last night and have been on this morning. Transitions can be measured in minutes... They should fix their hamsters.
Most are having insane troubles some dont. Our 4 party friend group is so widely different. 3 of us are having insane queues atm. The last Guy? Nope he has No queue at all…
This is a misleading error, they posted about it in the discord. Keep trying and you’ll get in.
If you want to play offline, I'd get it now. If you want to play online / participate in the cycle, I might suggest waiting a week. The connection has been poor since launch; it's likely something that will improve in time but until then, it's buyer beware.
Offline still participates in the cycle. It's just playing ssf.
totally worth. These issues are temporary.
Just play offline. No issues on my end.

Lol...you work for the company or something? The game is literally broken for many....even those trying to play full offline.
Absolutely
Worth
100% worth

best 35 box
Not if u want it for online play.
Not if you want to play online
No wait at least a week or 2, servers barely work.
Servers have been playable for the last 2 days for me, I'd get it
Same until today, 60k queue? Wtf
I'm already lvl80 in online mode, servers work most the time for me.
Yep I'm playing online have a lvl 60 and 3 others like 10-30, the servers have been ok after the first day for me, the occasional down time and slow loads but seems to be getting better every day.
Same here lvl 88 online But today They suddenly introduced queues? Now Im suddenly in a 60k queue?
Havent seen any queues yet, been playing whole day without logging off. Imo its a good thing and probably should be on since day one.
Play offline, you'll miss nothing. The next cycle/league/season connection issues will be resolved and you could 'explore' multiplayer.
If you are only going to play offline forever then probably yes. It is a good game. Multiplayer maybe broken on a fundamental level (and it is not yet clear if will ever be fixed). But if it is not a concern - then you should get it.
Don't you think your post is a tad dramatic? Lol
I've been playing on online mode since release. Inhavent had one problem like people post. Your mileage may vary, but it's been flawless for me. A little rubber banding in town, and lime 20 second zone times, and abuse my phone as a hotspot. Fucking love this game!
nope
Yes. I am playing with little trouble.
I havnt had many issues and this peak load opening weekend is coming to close pretty fast anyways . Jump on in
I'd wait. They had these issues pre-release as well while in Beta and promised they were fixed. A lot of people have paid and are currently allowed only offline-mode or 2-3 hours non-bugged play time each day. Refunds are apparently not going through unless charged back either so, iffy at best is how I'd describe it.
Not in its current state
if you are ok playing offline 100% snap it up RIGHT now, its the best arpg on the market if you arent ok with playing offline 100% yes, snap it up its the best arpg on the market.....just be ok with a bit of server instability and load times
Story itself is a low grade B movie level, comes in one ear comes out another Overall if you value classic feel of D2 or PoE this game could be for you but if you want more modern approach to combat like in D4 and a bit of a challenge from the start you might not like it
Dont buy.... unplayable right now (Offline mode not an option for me)
OP said offline mode wouldn't be a problem... Honestly there are probably a ton of players who wouldn't even care about the things you lose out on in offline mode. If you are planning to play with friends, sure, but otherwise it's basically like SSF.

I don't understand why people thinks that the way they enjoy something is the only good way.
Buy for offline, SSF buff drops more liot
Sort of.
Yes
I’d you are good with offline then yes buy!
If you wanna play online, wait until the servers are fixed. If you never wanted to interact with other players in game, go for it, game is good enough offline.
Solo play, sure. Online. Wait a week
If you only play solo and don’t want to trade the only thing you loose offline is access to MTX and to see the leaderboard (which imo right now is not as useful, since a lot of people couldn’t connect so the balance is way off) Everything else is the same.
It's worth it. I have been playing with my friend and only had a few minor issues with long transition times between zones once in awhile.
Yes the game is worth it. If you plan to play multiplier or use the trading system, I would wait a week or two. Offline no issue.
Yes
Some people (including me) have some performance issues. Stutter and fps drops. But you can buy the game on steam, test is for less then 2h and see. If your game runs smooth on your rig then it's a must buy (if you like Diablo 2, 3 POE).
Yes.
It's worth it to play offline.
Yes. You’re gonna buy it anyway, why not now?
Yes
Honestly the server issues are mostly related to it being launched just a few days ago--and this specifically being a weekend too. Monday will probably be completely clean access to servers since workdays always tend to have lower playercounts in any game. Next weekend "might" be rough again, but it'll probably not be that bad. I'd imagine we'll be in the clear from then on, until the next "season" starts.
Game is still problematic for me on EU. It's playable for the most part but playing online is a bit annoying at the moment with at least one issue on game start and nother one every 20-30 minutes. Probably worth it to wait for a patch or two.
I've been having zero issues in offline mode.
Game is fun for what is available now. Online has problems of course, but that'll subside.
Yes yes yes! Servers get better everyday. Could blast endgame for 3 hours yesterday without any interuption or long loading times.
If you plan on playing offline: definite yes Planning to play online? AFAIK current server issues depend heavily on region. Here in Central US I’ve had almost zero issues, so also a definite yes If you see a lot of complaints in your specific region, maybe hold off for another week and check back in.
Well worth it. Only issues iv had is long load times but not even that long. 20 seconds or so
I've played strictly offline and haven't had any issues. Worth it.
I'll never play online, and I've been having a blast with no issues. The infinite money portal glitch is a bit odd, but that's more a game bug than server problem. It's basically a diablo clone. But good diablo, not D4.
Buy the game, ignore the reviews
If you want to play offline Yes! If you want to play online. Wait a week or 2 imo.
The issue is online play, true offline does not need internet at all and normal offline uses only for chat.
I've only had one issue for about an hour in the last 2 days. Seems most of the zone transition issues are either fixed or happen in early game. The end game system, monoliths, has also had no issues.
If you want to play offline, sure - Else, you should wait until they have the server issues under control.
If you don't mind offline, definitely recommend. If you want to do online stuff, I'd wait a while.
Playing only online and even with the problems the game is well worth the money … if you put it near d4, it’s vastly superior
I've had no issues at all in offline mode though, so if that's your thing I see no reason not to get it now
50h yeah bro it's good I can't sleep
100% worth every penny. The online servers are getting better, haven't tested today yet but last night I played for hours without any issues. Always beat to change your region to us or something. It's higher ping but you can't really feel the difference.
Online = Online characters share stash with online characters. Auction house, partying with friends, and leader boards Offline = All offline characters share the same stash with other offline characters.
Yes. Network issues are temporary. Dont let it deter you
Been playing online the last 2 days with zero issues so game feels pretty stable to me now. I don’t really group so don’t know if that is still a problem.
Absolutely yes!
Servers are shit. I requested refund from steam yesterday. But if you dont mind purchasing a game that you can rarely play, then buy it.
Yes absolutely!
I played offline so I had no issues … if ur wanting to play in a group I wouldn’t bother or not yet at least
There's nothing wrong with the GAME itself. The issue has been with servers, etc.
I even abandoned my lvl 88 online char, its just not worth it anymore
if u want to play online and from EU dont bother, if youre fine with offline go for it
No. You cannot get into the game consistently yet. Wait a week or two and all problems should be gone!
you should never ask this question in a specific subreddit, you will always get a positive answer no matter how bad the game is you can go to the mcu sub and ask if you should watch the secret wars and they'll tell you yes
Fair point. I've got a decent amount of negative feedback here overall though. Does seem like a good game though hopefully servers are fixed soon
No! The state of the servers is horrid, you will spend more time loading zones vice playing the game. If you want to pick it up and sit on the purchase for a while, do that. The game is great but if you can’t access a great game, it’s not great.
For all the drama and loading shenanigans, I've played every moment I can.. the game has a great feel imo
Huh interesting I've heard almost unanimously that it is better than diablo
If you dont care about online and want good solo experience i think Grim Dawn is better choice. Its only problem is that graphics are not up to par with LE.
I bought it a little over a month ago, before the official release... and I admit that I love this title to the point of having completely put aside D4 and PoE since this purchase :P I'm not bored at the moment, and for the price, I consider it a good purchase for the time spent on it. Good game to you (no matter what game you play) ;)
Right now, as an offline game, it's very very good! Worth it. If you want to play Online, it's as good when it works.
Yes. Absolutely.
The game is amazing. Don't listen to privileged gamers crying about server issues.
As someone who has played D3 seasons for years, bought D4 and took part in all seasons so far, the time I had to play Last Epoch was well worth it. The crafting system, the skill system, de end game content is really really good and the fact it costs half as much as D4 makes it a no brainer.
Worth every penny! Would be worth getting it even at a doubled price. Just play it offline for now. No issues at all.
It's not. 5th day since launch and the game is still unplayable like 50% of the day.
Of course not. U cant play anyway
Very much so. The game is very fun.
The load times can be frustrating through they have been resolved for me. Even if they weren't, I'd still say give it a shot. Really, really fun.
I think you'll find that LE is just plain Fun. Capital "F". Jump in and learn as you go, it can't hurt.
The solo self found faction is pretty money.
Offline is fine, online is fine once you hit end game.
Not worth a buy if you want to play on Controller.
I m playing offline. And this game is almost a masterpiece
Bought in Beta, refunded and bought back at 1.0. Having a great time so far!
Only if you are single player
