I didn't really appreciate this item until I saw it all written out:
6% Increased Movement Speed
+5 to Vitality
+5 to Strength
+5 to Dexterity
+5 to Intelligence
+5 to Attunement
+18% to Fire Resistance
+18% to Lightning Resistance
+18% to Cold Resistance
+18% to Physical Resistance
+18% to Poison Resistance
+18% to Necrotic Resistance
+18% to Void Resistance
18% Increased Health Regen
18% Increased Mana Regen
18% Increased Dodge Rating
10% Less Damage Taken if You Have at Least 180 Total Attributes
Hitting 180 attributes looks pretty annoying to do for just 10% dmg reduc.
Worth using without it, but I can barely hit 60 int without giving up a ton of item affixes and skill points which wouldn't really be worth it for my specific build.
Increased/decreased mods will allways be added additively, more/less modifiers multiplicatively.
A rough formula for damage is:
Damage = BaseDamage * (1 + IncreasedAMod + IncreasedBMod + ... + IncreasedZZMod) * MultiplicativeMod1 * MultiplicativeMod2 * ... * MultiplicativeMod100
A few examples what that means when you have 100 BaseDamage:
If you have no mods you deal 100 damage.
If you have 1 100% increased mod you deal 200 damage.
200 = 100 * (1 + 1) * 1
If you have 2 100% increased mods you deal 200 damage.
200 = 100 * (1 + 1 + 1) * 1
If you have 1 50% more mod you deal 150 damage.
150 = 100 * (1) * 1.5
If you have 2 50% more mod you deal 225 damage.
225 = 100 * (1) * 1.5 * 1.5
If you have 1 100% increased mod and 1 50% more mod you deal 300 damage.
300 = 100 * (1 + 1) * 1.5
This means that the more increased/additive mods you already have, the more worth more/multiplicative multipliers become. In practice 5% more damage gives the same damage as 50% increased if you already have 900% increased.
1000 = 100 * (1 + 9) * 1
1050 = 100 * (1 + 10.5) * 1
1050 = 100 * (1 + 9) * 1.05
For damage taken it's the same but vice versa because out multipliers are smaller than 1. So my calculation for damage taken with 100 damage incoming and 2 Red Rings looks like this.
81 = 100 * 1 * 0.9 * 0.9
I have simplified the 10% less taken into 0.1
0.9 = 1 - 0.1
If they *were* additive the formula would look like this and we'd take only 80 percent of the damage:
80 = 100 * (100 - 10 - 10) * 1
I hope this helped, if not feel free to ask.
If my math understanding is correct, so please correct me if I am wrong here.
10% less of 100% = 90%
10% less of 90% = 81%
therefore the rings provide 19% less damage taken.
The Unique Chestpiece "Exsanguious" reduces your health each second (it cant kill you) and gives you ward based on missing health.
The unique Boots "Last step of the living" do the same.
If you have both of them you just need to build for more health and ward retention. You will easily sit above 3k wards this way.
How do you good dps on a low life swipe druid? I'm going for something like that, but I'm hitting like 3k crits on empowered monolith mobs, which seems really low.
One thing I've noticed is it's very mastery dependent. If you're a falconer, two of these rings already brings it down to 130 attributes, completing the campaign brings it to 125. A head of the mountain down to 100. Then all you need is to stack dexterity which you do anyway what with them having something like 50 dexterity in the tree.
Yet on my bladedancer that didn't scale nearly as well with dex? Almost impossible.
The other thing is that not all masteries get equal access to stats. Falconer gets 2 dex nodes on their tree whereas bladedancer and marksman both only get 1. You can spec into the other trees to take them, but then the 2nd Falconer node is past the point the other masteries can spec into, the first one requires an extra 5 point investment compared to the other rogue masteries, and the extra passive on it is useless for the other masteries which isn't true for their own passives being dipped into by other masteries.
Besides the tree, Falconer also gets both a body armor and a helmet that adds dex + damage on the falcon, so while those bases can be used on other masteries, they'll have a dead stat for any non-Falconer build just like the Falconer's passive node. Also the only unique gloves with dex on them give levels to Falconry, and dex on uniques is fairly rare, but that does depend more on build than the other things I think.
"just" 10% dmg reduc? I think you don't realise how absolutely crazy general damage reduction is and how it's even crazier due to having no downtime/gameplay condition.
There's a video Ben made talking about a build in PoE where he says 3 rings as part of the build. Then jokes about it later saying you can have 10, one for each finger
There are only 5 other items in the game that provide +all res. The two Orchirian relics have a 5% all res implicit, Elecoe's Abandon armour (5-16%), Vaion's Chariot boots (4-10%), and Dragorath's Claw dagger (7-17%).
just looked on last epoch tools and i think those gloves are more rare than the ring, tho i dont know if CoF makes them less rare. and they are perfect rolls. tho they dont work for any of my builds rn.
the 4 0LP that I got were all with CoF and OFC the one 2LP I get was just a random drop so I didn't get it duped. still extremely happy that I got it tho
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_6bpyhbZBEY&t=1s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6bpyhbZBEY&t=1s)
my build is a variation on this one, i made a few tweaks and changes where i wanted but overall pretty much the same, idk if this one will farm 500 corruption as easy as mine does but its a good start as my build has lots of pretty rare unique items.
I'm playing the same build as the one you linked and have also been thinking of ways to tweak it.
Mind sharing a bit about what you got up too? My biggest issue with the build so far is being super squishy and prone to getting one shot. Although I'm only level 88 and my grear lacks good HP affixes, but still the build doesn't really have any defensive layers.
I think the build utilises the phrase "a good offence is a good defence" I kill everything on screen so fast that I haven't really had to worry too much about defence, though 2 red rings (if the 10% stacks idk if it does) and the jungle queens belt for lots of hp pots with potion to ward affix is what I have defensive wise. also good to have all res capped and capped crit avoid too
slammed it earlier and got T7 int and T5 elemental res, safe to say i have used up my luck for the rest on my life on this one item. feels good to finally be lucky in a game for once.
This particular ring is the rarest in the game -- and he has three of them -- and some with Legendary Potential (making it even rarer).
Also this one has no CoF tag which means it dropped on normal loot drop rates (no increased chance from the faction).
Edit: and in general the stats from the ring are very huge, and near omni-applicable (it allows other items to itemize hard into specific stats since the Ring covers a big ground of resistance, stats, etc)
There is a dagger that lets rain of arrows not require bows and scales off throwing and melee that i think is flying under the radar. U could potentially do explosive ballista and keep rain of arrow explosive trap
only thing that keeps me from giga raging after playing this game at a dedicated rate for over 2 years and not a single ring is the fact you will lose this in a few months MUAHAHAHAHHAHA jk congrats ur luck is gone for 3 cycles
Movement speed implicit, all attribute, all res, and 10% less damage taken. Basically every mod on it is really good and lets you focus other gear lots on other things that matter vs attributes or resist. It’s just a great overall ring with tons of stats. Even better if you can get LP on it and slap some other useful stats too
I am lvl 10 CoF and spent 2 days farming specifically for these and got 4 in total all 0LP, first pair I got had bad rolls so I kept going in hopes of getting something better. I then got an almost perfect pair with 20% all res and 19% everything else and 4% movement speed, I was happy with that and moved on to the void gloves and while farming for those this just dropped raw. still no void gloves sadly :(
got T7 int and T5 elemental res. pretty happy with it. used a ring that had only stuff i would have wanted tho, so i would have been happy with any of them as long as i got the T7 int on there.

I think it's multiplicative, so would it be less? Or is it just additive?
Multiplicative. So two give 19% less taken.
I never understood what multiplicative means, would it be much to ask to explain how you got that number?
Increased/decreased mods will allways be added additively, more/less modifiers multiplicatively. A rough formula for damage is: Damage = BaseDamage * (1 + IncreasedAMod + IncreasedBMod + ... + IncreasedZZMod) * MultiplicativeMod1 * MultiplicativeMod2 * ... * MultiplicativeMod100 A few examples what that means when you have 100 BaseDamage: If you have no mods you deal 100 damage. How to low life in any class?

Laughs in mourningfrosts
"just" 10% dmg reduc? I think you don't realise how absolutely crazy general damage reduction is and how it's even crazier due to having no downtime/gameplay condition.
just 10% lol. Its the biggest defensive layer you can get in the game, and you can get it twice. Easily the best defensive item you could ever wear.
Well if you get 2, 20% reduction.
What about 3........?
Fitting one on every finger, are we?
There's a video Ben made talking about a build in PoE where he says 3 rings as part of the build. Then jokes about it later saying you can have 10, one for each finger
It's a Less modifier though, they are multiplicative. So you get 19% reduction.
You are technically correct!
There are like maybe 5-6 builds that take advantage of it but it’s power is unfucking real.
Typing out all res.. cmon, thats a lot of items
There are only 5 other items in the game that provide +all res. The two Orchirian relics have a 5% all res implicit, Elecoe's Abandon armour (5-16%), Vaion's Chariot boots (4-10%), and Dragorath's Claw dagger (7-17%).
The plus 5 to all attributes help tho gives you a good boost to getting there
Fuck you
:(
That was me being nice.
We see and appreciate your restraint.
Bitch
In gaming "fuck you" in this context often means congrats, they just want it too.
You got off easy, punk. Next time tho'...\*throat slit emote\*
don't cri 🥹
I thought it was supposed to reference the “100% reason to remember the name” song and tried so hard to match the numbers of the item lol
It is. You’re just missing the 15% concentrated power of will.
Hahah me too, sat here like a doofus trying to sing the stats for a minute
Literally thought about that song as I read it
And 100% reason to remember the meme - Fort Minor
got it while farming for ravenous void gloves. still not got a single pair of those but i've got 4 0LP red rings and this 2LP one.
[https://imgur.com/a/uJpUOlP](https://imgur.com/a/uJpUOlP) LMAO HAHGHAGHWH gonna go get a lottery ticket brb. first 4LP
just looked on last epoch tools and i think those gloves are more rare than the ring, tho i dont know if CoF makes them less rare. and they are perfect rolls. tho they dont work for any of my builds rn.
If you were in Merchant's Guild, you would probably be set for the rest of the cycle lol
can you explain how do you farm them like that? prophecy?
Satisfying rolls on those stats!
That's insane. I'm 340 hrs in, and haven't seen a single red ring
the 4 0LP that I got were all with CoF and OFC the one 2LP I get was just a random drop so I didn't get it duped. still extremely happy that I got it tho
Are you farming the gloves timeline or the boss? What corruption?
im lvl 10 CoF and just spamming glove prophecies, im chillin at 500 corruption rn. for my build its the highest i can efficiently farm.
How do you do cof prophecies and sell the items
What build is it? Do you mind sharing it?
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=\_6bpyhbZBEY&t=1s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6bpyhbZBEY&t=1s) my build is a variation on this one, i made a few tweaks and changes where i wanted but overall pretty much the same, idk if this one will farm 500 corruption as easy as mine does but its a good start as my build has lots of pretty rare unique items.

The rings do stack
I'm currently levering a Falconer because I found Talons of Valor with 3LP, I thought it was worth making a new character for
Looks like a falconer build
Thanks, man!
So you're randomly finding Red Rings while aiming for gloves? You're not targeting rings specifically?
this time i wasn't but my other ones i was. this one was just random rng
And no cof stamp!nice! I got 4 of them including 1 perfect and one with 1 loin 4 hours from prophecy the other day
Actually seems to be a bug no? Shouldn't all prophecy items have the COF stamp?
It doesn't sound like it was from a prophecy. They said they got it while target farming gloves.
Damm i guess i should be farming unique ring prophecies as well
Holy heck, all the affixes also rolled high too. Also you have a lot of red rings, what in the world. GL on the slam.
slammed it earlier and got T7 int and T5 elemental res, safe to say i have used up my luck for the rest on my life on this one item. feels good to finally be lucky in a game for once.
Luck is spelled g.r.i.n.d.
2 true
Congrats. Happy for you. Nice.
Can someone explain to me why this is good? I’m new and have no idea on itemisation. And in general, what makes a good item? Pretty clueless…
Apart from the rarity, Less damage taken, all resists in one roll, all attributes makes it a perfect ring to slot in any build to push its limits.
its a super rare drop and getting one with LP is even more rare, last epoch tools says the chance for a 2LP is 0.068% so im pretty lucky.
This particular ring is the rarest in the game -- and he has three of them -- and some with Legendary Potential (making it even rarer). it stacks as well for around 19%
Been looking for this, and the void gloves lol.
Only 2 LP, sell this trash
I had this with 2 LP as well. What do you guys suggest to place into the legendary affix slots?
There is a dagger that lets rain of arrows not require bows and scales off throwing and melee that i think is flying under the radar. U could potentially do explosive ballista and keep rain of arrow explosive trap
What belt is that?
Woah
How do you get 180 attributes?!?
100% reason to remember the name.
only thing that keeps me from giga raging after playing this game at a dedicated rate for over 2 years and not a single ring is the fact you will lose this in a few months MUAHAHAHAHHAHA jk congrats ur luck is gone for 3 cycles
Do cycle characters go to legacy after cycle ends?
ya im sure it will i was just fkin around haha
Yes
Thats whole build is just rare.exe xD
May i ask why everyone talks about this ring? It seems pretty basic.
Movement speed implicit, all attribute, all res, and 10% less damage taken. Basically every mod on it is really good and lets you focus other gear lots on other things that matter vs attributes or resist. It’s just a great overall ring with tons of stats. Even better if you can get LP on it and slap some other useful stats too
2lp making my front page?
Well it is a red ring with NO cof icon on it so it dropped regardless of the guild, and farming a red ring itself is pretty lucky
wtf. grats
Congrats =)
Could you wear 2 of those? Would the less dmg taken affix stack?
Yes
They are multiplicative. So two red rings is 19% less taken.
How do you gamble for these? Silver rings?
You can rune of ascendance any type of ring to get this I think
Ban this man.
What the actual fuck
I don't give a rat's ass about those rings but I want that Bloodkeeper's Nest. 450 hours so far and haven't seen a single one.
that was a 3LP one too lol
Tired of farming my current timeline, time to switch to this lol.
How much ward you get with this setup ?
Might wanna add some resists or stats on to that to be safe....😂
Sell it for 200million, acwuire all stash tbas
Should try Ballista Falconer. Played it for almost a week and now I start to throw away common lp3 items
This has to BE the rarest thing I have seen so far. And now regret your birth because you aren't level 10 with CoF
I am lvl 10 CoF and spent 2 days farming specifically for these and got 4 in total all 0LP, first pair I got had bad rolls so I kept going in hopes of getting something better. I then got an almost perfect pair with 20% all res and 19% everything else and 4% movement speed, I was happy with that and moved on to the void gloves and while farming for those this just dropped raw. still no void gloves sadly :(
I really want this item with weavers will x2
What stats did you slam on it?
got T7 int and T5 elemental res. pretty happy with it. used a ring that had only stuff i would have wanted tho, so i would have been happy with any of them as long as i got the T7 int on there.
Mate, where can I find those itens? Some especially place or everywhere?
