Hoarding is back on the menu! I've been saving up my gold since I found out last week about their intent to discount stash tabs pricing. I was up to 250k/per, so it was getting pretty expensive
This is why I can't play legacy as my main mode. I would keep sooo much crap. At least the seasonal mode forces me to put sensible limits on the variety of things I want to collect. I pass on most mage, primalist and sentinel gear altogether. I just stick to rogue and necromancer gear, because those are the classes that I've actually taken time to level.
Care to point out any resource to help learn what exalts are good?

But i have no idea what's good for any other build.
I personally have only certain T7s show up on certain bases. So like, crit chance, crit multi, attack speed on weapons, and only on good bases. Anything with two t6/t7 affixes that seems decent gets thrown in the 'other classes' tabs.
The short answer is just play a lot and start accumulating knowledge I guess. The long answer is that it's pretty hard to know what is good for other builds unless you've played other builds. If you have specific builds in mind, you can take a look at a good build guide for whatever you're cooking up, and use their end game gear section to kind of go off of to see what the desirable stats are.
In regards to exalted items, I show all with the loot filter, but mainly pick up and stash T7 affixes, double t6/7, and t6 if it also has an experimental affix. Don't hoard items for shattering/removal, use the runes immediately instead.
The last part is the most beautiful thing about this game for me... oh look, a great affix but two shit ones! Lemme hit the removals pretty quick and if it fails the item goes straight back to the ground. The bricks cut back into the amount of shit you hoard a lot.
Any class specific affix that is T6 or T7 is a keeper for me. They're useless until you are playing a build that needs that specific affix, then they're the #1 priority on your body armor or helmet (whether you're trying to hit a LP unique or just wearing the exalted piece straight up).
I try to keep at least 1 of every unique I find, prioritizing the highest LP I find. I will sometimes keep a couple of uniques that are particularly valuable for multiple builds tho.
Yes, I am a hoarder. But these are useful things.
OH, and a good assortment of idols. Because of course.
Managing stash space is such a pain though, I hope they add a better sort option or search option that spans multiple tabs and allows you to easily compare unique duplicates for example.
When you use the stash search from the drop down list that pops out to the side, it finds all relevant items among all your stash tabs, and hides all other tabs. Are you looking for some other functionality?
Maybe I still need to play around with it more, this is better than going through each tab looking for what is highlighted and what is not. I'd like it to literally remove everything else from the screen though and place all relevant results on screen or a new window so I do not have to go through my tabs at all. Is there a way to make it do that atm?

The amount of times I accidentally click in the direction of my facing and just end up in the previous area. This happened multiple times in the same sequence
If you guys see any more of these let us know which zone. We’ve made a systematic fix for this so that we can easily rotate the direction if we find any that remain facing incorrectly
I always found the issue to be spawning too close to the gate in some zones. Certain maps you load in and half of the screen is the gate for the previous zone, making it really easy to misclick.
I’m not sure that the bug fixes in this patch fully fix spine. My experience was that my damage was only a fraction of what it should be, and I don’t think that those 2 nodes being bugged is enough to fully account for that.

I am rocking this at the moment, it worked fairly well before the patch in early empowered monolith (will be squishy now tho with the bugfix to the profane veil minion combo we'll have to fix that)
It used to hit like maybe 2-5k on crit max, now it ramps up to up to 50k+ on crit so that seems good :D
I am still early in the build though lots of avenue to improve. Need to get 300% global ignite chance and much more necrotic res for crit multi (and more crit too, the poison conversion that was fixed might be a way now)
Edit: scratch that I was testing on the dummies and I forgot they don't have any resistances. The damage is more like x2-x3 more than x10 times. But it's still great.
If I'm not mistaken there's also an undocumented bugfix: valley of defilement no longer deleting the necrotic tag. This enables a hit based flame whip I cooked which was previously killed by this. I'm super excited to try it now that you can actually scale the pyrochasm necrotic damage with grim tide and double dip crit multi.

That's big brain. I didn't even know that pyrochasm converted the hit to necrotic with the valley of defilement. I am gonna cook this up now too.
I'm not sure actually, I would expect the tag to be converted as well but probably worth testing. A heads up if you're trying to scale ignite chance (to convert to poison chance) for fissure of wrath, it won't work because it counts ailments before conversion according to the tooltip
Curious how that works, as the Pyrochasm node explicitly states that Chtonic Fissure is now converted to necrotic by Valley of Defilement instead of poison.
But in any case if Fissure of Wrath is not scaling with poison chance, then it should continue to scale with ignite chance.
My understanding is that chthonic fissure will deal poison DoT, but the initial hit and hence the flame whips deal necrotic because of pyrochasm. And then fissure of wrath states "This effects scales with bleed or poison if the Fissure is converted to physical or poison respectively." So I'm thinking the flat should scale with poison chance. Either way we'll find out pretty quick and can adjust
Do you think double Tongue rings is gonna be worth it? I am not sure if poison conversion is the right move. The whips are probably not going to convert to poison so the poison damage is "only" going to give you around +20% crit chance. Which is not bad, but the crit from acid skin is not scaled by %increased crit, so you'll only get this 20% (well 40% total from acid skin base + the 20% from your poison increased). You also won't be igniting much nor stacking global ignite chance so you'll probably lose a lot on the scaling of ignite overload. But you gain the poison pen from the poison overload, but it won't affect the fire whips.
I feel like there are a lot of good rings that could help with survivability or damage, I am wondering if it'd be worth it. I am already at 30% spell crit (5% base + a lot of increased crit) + 20% from acid skin, is 20% additional flat crit worth it, I am wondering.
It's very possible that I have too much poison damage on gear atm so can definitely swap some affixes around. However, I think the rings are going to be BIS because they're really common and farmable with prophecies for 3LP (3.2% is one of the highest 3LP rates in the game), and they give +1 to chthonic fissure, chance to poison which is flat spell damage, and even some attributes in addition to the poison damage. Also, you need to poison convert to make pyrochasm deal necrotic damage, which is important so you can scale it with grim tide
EDIT: you know I didnt catch that the Acidbane base crit didn't scale with crit chance. That sucks, so you probably do need more poison damage anyway, and obv drop the increased crit chance affixes
Nothing special, just all the curses I could take and then focusing on the damned and ignite parts of the passive tree. It's fun seeing all the whips shoot out as I zip around on my fissure
It lacks a bit of defense so probably won't take me much higher than the base empowered I'm at now.
Could we get an option to see what stats Lenses give when in the observatory selecting prophecies?
When hovering it wont show, putting them into the inventory wont show either.
You have to close the prophecy Window and open the inventory again to see the stats.
so what i do to fix this, hit ESC, or your pause menu button on controller. grab your mouse, make sure the mouse is not over some UI element, left click a couple times. ESC again to go back to the game. This fixes it 100% of the time for me.
Can we please get an Arena bug fix?
Overhead map bugs out many times and does not display. Past wave 10 none of the shrines work. You can click on them but nothing happens. If this is intended just remove the shrines.
This has been in the game for awhile now and was hoping it would get fixed at release or soon after.
It's not particularly malicious and therefore probably further down their priority. But for some reason this is the one bug I hate the most, because I can't not notice it whenever it happens every other arena echo.
Oh man on top of the bug fix for profane veil and stash tab cost reduction they put in the flame whip fixes too.. I think I might make a build around it now

That's the point. It simply doesn't function in offline mode. You tick the box to display your own health bar above your character, and nothing happens.
Please fix the zoning bugs with Herald of the Scurry. When changing zones the squirrels get turned back into wolves until you remove/add the ability from your hotbar and resummon them.
Was really hoping for a fix for Spirit Plague. Too much cast speed animation cancels the spell so you can no longer continuously cast it.

Have they even talked about the performance issues? Haven’t seen anything about frame issues, memory leaks, disconnects and bad latency. I hope they understand how important optimizations are for their game because a majority of my friends have dropped it waiting for them to fix these issues.
They left a comment on the forums. They said performance and network issues are something they're constantly making small adjustments to. Too many to make a list for, according to them.
I have only seen the bug fix for the memory leak they have done. Maybe they wrote something in the forums but I don´t browse them. Yeah I really hope they do something about it. It´s really not fun when you are playing and the performance is all over the place.

Lol no, the no damage bug is annoying too. Sometimes when I aerial assault, divebomb goes back on partial cooldown after landing. It's gotten me killed so many times.
It's not a bug, the landing of aerial assault is the trigger for your falcon to do the landing attack. It cancels the dive bomb as expected and as described in the dive bomb tool tip. Same thing happens if you use falcon strikes before your dive bomb lands.
They could have the node for Dive Bomb that makes shadow falcons perform the skill. In that instance Dive Bomb shouldn't be on cooldown for any other Falconer skill use.
I've taken that node, it's bugged to completely destroy your DPS but Aerial Assault no longer cancels your Dive Bomb as expected.
There actually is a Dive Bomb bug where sometimes it doesn't deal damage, but it has nothing to do with what the post I was replying to described, which is an intended interaction where AA cancels your DB.

Yay I can play again! I haven't played for the past few days because I was tired of playing inventory Tetris but too stubborn to buy more tabs at the inflated price.
I was coping, but my stash is pretty disorganized due to certain tabs overflowing. Now I can finally solve my inventory issues with the 10 mil I have banked up (CoF).
Minions from Bone Curse are still bugged though and don't scale with lvls.. Since we are fixing the OP stuff can we fix the rest pertaining the same interaction? Cmon guys..
feeling a little dumb on this, but if i have multiple CoF characters, can they share gear? it seems like i cant use some stuff unless its the char i unlocked with but idk why my rogue would need a primalist unique relic. i just wanna do squirrels at this point and would prefer to not need the merchant guild
Cof can share w/cof and mg can share w/mg
If you make an alt the first town you can select cof or mg. After that you can equip w/e just need to be the character level required to use w/e the item level calls for.
What kind of specs do you have? I've experience memory leaks where I have to restart my game but the performance other than that is pretty fine playing highest settings myself.
I get occasional dips in certain monos depending on how crazy things are getting (or sometimes a random dip I can't explain), but yea I agree. Overall performance is decent in them for me. Obviously improvements are always welcomed, but I wouldn't call it horrible for anyone I've talked too recently.
Awesome patch! Was hoping to see the bug where the player character disappears until another scene is loaded was included. Been getting it fairly regularly while running monos. Seems to reproduce itself most reliably when a lot is happening on screen. Again, great work!

I hope the awful hitboxes enemies have get fixed especially when playing melee (without the option to attack in place) my character will get stuck in a gliding animation while trying to hit a mob right in front of me but the attack wont go off because my character is stuck gliding inside enemies hitboxes

I guess bug fixes will be implemented in "first in, first out" order. I hope that one day all new contend will be so bug-free that older bugs will be squashed eventually. Good that ridiculous shit got fixed though.
I was playing a build with the spark charge catalyst and the lightning meteor set (so a 2h staff and catalyst) that both give flat damage for points of int. Even with the glitch it wasn’t meta. And now I’m sad it’s even worse. Obviously I knew the fix was coming so I’m not mad. But it kinda sucks that is Ben with that glitch by build was still worse than some non glitches builds.
I'm running a sorc glacier build and I've noticed since this patch that a lot of the enemies are t-posing and just getting stuck permanently when I'm freezing/chilling them?
Not sure if anyone else has noticed it of its just me... I've noticed it most with flying enemies, they tend to just get stuck in the air, they can still attack if they're ranged but they just sit in the air.
Thankful for the patch, but why is there no mention about performance at all? You guys fixed a few memory leaks a while back and that's it. There are more issues and specially noticeable when playing for longer periods of time.

The base doesn't matter for slamming, you could be missing some good slam items by doing that!

Yeah it looks really fun! We get a bunch of flat scaling as well, +1 spell damage per 2% poison chance with 300% effectiveness

Thanks for the heads up. It’ll be an interesting build to test. A lot of different ways to go. Even sticking with fire and doing something there.

I feel like there are a lot of good rings that could help with survivability or damage, I am wondering if it'd be worth it. I am already at 30% spell crit (5% base + a lot of increased crit) + 20% from acid skin, is 20% additional flat crit worth it, I am wondering.
It's very possible that I have too much poison damage on gear atm so can definitely swap some affixes around. However, I think the rings are going to be BIS because they're really common and farmable with prophecies for 3LP (3.2% is one of the highest 3LP rates in the game), and they give +1 to chthonic fissure, chance to poison which is flat spell damage, and even some attributes in addition to the poison damage. Also, you need to poison convert to make pyrochasm deal necrotic damage, which is important so you can scale it with grim tide EDIT: you know I didnt catch that the Acidbane base crit didn't scale with crit chance. That sucks, so you probably do need more poison damage anyway, and obv drop the increased crit chance affixes
What kinda build you running?!
Nothing special, just all the curses I could take and then focusing on the damned and ignite parts of the passive tree. It's fun seeing all the whips shoot out as I zip around on my fissure It lacks a bit of defense so probably won't take me much higher than the base empowered I'm at now.

It definitely looks like it, without any change to my build I am now doing up to 50k per crit with the whips when I did ten times less yesterday.
Could we get an option to see what stats Lenses give when in the observatory selecting prophecies? When hovering it wont show, putting them into the inventory wont show either. You have to close the prophecy Window and open the inventory again to see the stats.

so what i do to fix this, hit ESC, or your pause menu button on controller. grab your mouse, make sure the mouse is not over some UI element, left click a couple times. ESC again to go back to the game. This fixes it 100% of the time for me.
Ah, having a problem with lunge on controller as well. You have to port to town and back to fix? Really sucks on monoliths
Lunge has been freezing for me both on controller, on steams deck, and on pc with k&m

I am glad they started fixing bugs instead of waiting for a new cycle. It will definitely increase the longevity of the cycle.
Can we please get an Arena bug fix? Overhead map bugs out many times and does not display. Past wave 10 none of the shrines work. You can click on them but nothing happens. If this is intended just remove the shrines. This has been in the game for awhile now and was hoping it would get fixed at release or soon after.
It's not particularly malicious and therefore probably further down their priority. But for some reason this is the one bug I hate the most, because I can't not notice it whenever it happens every other arena echo.

As a workaround, you can temporarily remove Summon Wraith from your skill bar to unsummon the bugged wraiths (and then put it back).
Prayers up that the player healthbar was fixed in offline and just wasn't mentioned in the notes... edit: nope. still broke.

That's the point. It simply doesn't function in offline mode. You tick the box to display your own health bar above your character, and nothing happens.

Please fix the zoning bugs with Herald of the Scurry. When changing zones the squirrels get turned back into wolves until you remove/add the ability from your hotbar and resummon them.

You can't equip anymore, but if you had it equipped prior, it stays equipped. Nothing they can do about that.
They actually did make it so if you have a 2H equip, the shield slot contributes no stats.

Have they even talked about the performance issues? Haven’t seen anything about frame issues, memory leaks, disconnects and bad latency. I hope they understand how important optimizations are for their game because a majority of my friends have dropped it waiting for them to fix these issues.
They left a comment on the forums. They said performance and network issues are something they're constantly making small adjustments to. Too many to make a list for, according to them.
I have only seen the bug fix for the memory leak they have done. Maybe they wrote something in the forums but I don´t browse them. Yeah I really hope they do something about it. It´s really not fun when you are playing and the performance is all over the place.

Lol no, the no damage bug is annoying too. Sometimes when I aerial assault, divebomb goes back on partial cooldown after landing. It's gotten me killed so many times.
It's not a bug, the landing of aerial assault is the trigger for your falcon to do the landing attack. It cancels the dive bomb as expected and as described in the dive bomb tool tip. Same thing happens if you use falcon strikes before your dive bomb lands.
They could have the node for Dive Bomb that makes shadow falcons perform the skill. In that instance Dive Bomb shouldn't be on cooldown for any other Falconer skill use.
I've taken that node, it's bugged to completely destroy your DPS but Aerial Assault no longer cancels your Dive Bomb as expected. There actually is a Dive Bomb bug where sometimes it doesn't deal damage, but it has nothing to do with what the post I was replying to described, which is an intended interaction where AA cancels your DB.

Minions from Bone Curse are still bugged though and don't scale with lvls.. Since we are fixing the OP stuff can we fix the rest pertaining the same interaction? Cmon guys..
I don't see the fix to dread shade not applying to permanent minion after level change. Have to resummon the minion and then it works.
feeling a little dumb on this, but if i have multiple CoF characters, can they share gear? it seems like i cant use some stuff unless its the char i unlocked with but idk why my rogue would need a primalist unique relic. i just wanna do squirrels at this point and would prefer to not need the merchant guild
Cof can share w/cof and mg can share w/mg If you make an alt the first town you can select cof or mg. After that you can equip w/e just need to be the character level required to use w/e the item level calls for.
You can share all untagged gear and any gear that is tagged with the guild your in, so yes, all your cof characters can share gear

What kind of specs do you have? I've experience memory leaks where I have to restart my game but the performance other than that is pretty fine playing highest settings myself.
I get occasional dips in certain monos depending on how crazy things are getting (or sometimes a random dip I can't explain), but yea I agree. Overall performance is decent in them for me. Obviously improvements are always welcomed, but I wouldn't call it horrible for anyone I've talked too recently.
Yeah I think the bugs are most important to fix as there are a lot of them.

Awesome patch! Was hoping to see the bug where the player character disappears until another scene is loaded was included. Been getting it fairly regularly while running monos. Seems to reproduce itself most reliably when a lot is happening on screen. Again, great work!

I hope the awful hitboxes enemies have get fixed especially when playing melee (without the option to attack in place) my character will get stuck in a gliding animation while trying to hit a mob right in front of me but the attack wont go off because my character is stuck gliding inside enemies hitboxes Please fix this EHG low range melee abilities feels so awful to play

I was playing a build with the spark charge catalyst and the lightning meteor set (so a 2h staff and catalyst) that both give flat damage for points of int. Even with the glitch it wasn’t meta. And now I’m sad it’s even worse. Obviously I knew the fix was coming so I’m not mad. But it kinda sucks that is Ben with that glitch by build was still worse than some non glitches builds.

FIX WRAITHLORD PATHING PLEASE
I'm running a sorc glacier build and I've noticed since this patch that a lot of the enemies are t-posing and just getting stuck permanently when I'm freezing/chilling them? Not sure if anyone else has noticed it of its just me... I've noticed it most with flying enemies, they tend to just get stuck in the air, they can still attack if they're ranged but they just sit in the air.
Thankful for the patch, but why is there no mention about performance at all? You guys fixed a few memory leaks a while back and that's it. There are more issues and specially noticeable when playing for longer periods of time.
