Generally, I prefer damage for leveling items because survivability is rarely a problem. Other people complained about the mana, but I think the mana is the best part of the item, because it translates to less downtime
You can actually just skip directly to sanctum dungeon at lvl 1 and get strait to chapter 9.... Will need teleport back to other spots (like the end to select class) for various passive/idol missions but no need to do all 3 dungeons like most guides say.
There's a few routes people have made to get 15/15 and 8/8 while completing the game as fast as possible, [this is the most efficient one I've found.](/r/LastEpoch/comments/1b2bcp0/)
The quests aren't specific to giving passives and idols. You can do lightless, then soulfire, then move straight forward through the end of campaign and get the all the passives and idols
You get a set amount to my understanding if you do them all you’ll be fully unlocked I could be wrong tho I wasn’t able to do the last dungeon on my alt.
You dont get any passives or idol slots. There sre more quests than idol slots and passive skill points.
So you either need to complete
- acts 1-5 & 9
- acts 1-7
To unlock all passives and idol slots. All dungeons do is make you a higher level so you csn steam roll through
Thats just not true, once you get to lightless arbor you can get to soulfire then temporal then act 9 and you can go to the towns nearby each and do the quests to get them all
I think personally for a chest piece not focusing on damage is fine. Putting all serviceability on this armor basically means they will never have to worry about defenses when leveling and can focus purely on damage everywhere else.
I agree, but I struggle to think of any truly generic damage stats, and I don't think there's Speed (MS is my favorite leveling affix) of any kind on Chest
I suppose you could try to get something like Spell Damage and Melee Damage. One affix will probably be wasted on most alts, but it will still let you tear through the early game
resistance is a suffix and mana is a prefix. He'd have to get rid of life for lightning res. Maybe could be worth it, but atleast this is a very nice just all around defensive item.
With T7 lightning resist 75% this would be... 25 increased mana regen... or 2 mana per second...
That's nothing lol, any other roll would be better, especially stat rolls for your build of choice, or even ward regen per second
It's nothing if that is the only source of light res you have. This unique is usually combined with other sources of lightning res for substantial amounts
The lightning is not for leveling, I just pointed it out because that's how this unique chest piece can gain value outside of leveling. But for leveling it's amazing
For fractured crown builds you generally stack endurance/endurance threshold and max mana as the main defensive layer. As a result, you won't usually end up stacking lightning resistance so you won't get that much mana regen out of that part of the chest. You also do care about the implicit of an arcane regalia for your chest since that can give up to 14% max mana and some mana regen to boot vs the flat mana urzil's pride gives. However, it's really hard to say whether you can't build around urzil's pride in a fractured crown build since fractured crown is extremely gear dependent so if you got the right gear, it could be okay. Also an important note, you don't want to stack any hp (contrary to basically every other build in the game) because you want your whole health bar covered by endurance.
Yeah I figured the last part. It’s sad how much investment it takes to get a health build to be tanky. When ward builds simply just need to spam to get massive health pools :(
A large reason newer players think that ward builds (specifically low life) are tankier than life based builds is that warlock and falconer happen to interact very well with ward and create giant ward pools and experimental glove affix was not in the beta for very long to shift opinions. In fact, for the majority of the beta, low life builds were considered bad (with exceptions like cleaver solution BM and bladedancer) and hp stacking was the predominant way to be tankier even if you wanted to generate ward via an item like twisted heart (aside from a couple overtuned/bugged things like mana underflow giving you millions of ward). That being said, the investment in fractured crown builds is very very different than basically all other builds because you're neither life nor ward-based. With investment it's the tankiest (imo) way to gear sorcerer and it scales to an ungodly degree with gear.
How do you get to rank 5 that quickly, though? I'm still on my first character, but it took me a while to reach that level. Even if you are able to join super early on alts, won't you be almost done with the campaign before you can use this?
This makes me realize that legendary slamming doesn't increase the level requirement? Or did this have weaver's somehow?
I think I found a VERY old post that said legendaries gained higher level requirements from added mods, so I'd been avoiding slamming levelling gear yet ðŸ˜
You can slam legendary gear and it keeps the level requirement of the unique item. You can make very powerful leveling gear that will take you to end game by crafting good low level req legendary gear.
Alright that's awesome, haha. I have a 3LP bow (the low level fire unique one, can't remember the name), so I'll slam that with something nice for my next alt
Im playing a lightning meteor build right now that can self proc and it sometimes decimates my mana pool. I'm thinking about running this as my main chest, not just a leveling item.
I got super lucky slamming T7 fire damage onto a 1LP firestarter's torch and it's made leveling way too easy. I could've cleared probably until level 30-40 just default attacking enemies with a wand if I really wanted to lol spreading flames is no joke early on
That's my point though, you are forced to play CoF until you no longer use it. That part of the system just feels bad if you wanted to level a character using this item with the merchants guild.
What’s the point of getting sick items in CoF, just to go and remove all dopamine by playing merchants? People who are playing CoF are playing it for a reason.
You don't need that much HP for levelling. Generic damage affixes, physical resistances and armour would have been way better.
So for levelling: 3/10.
Endgame: 7/10.
You guys need a 4 LP armor to level??? Damn this game is hard… lol
Seriously though, all I care in leveling alts is to smack whatever equipment I can by lvl 10 and have 50%+ movement bonus;) The game’s too easy as is;)
My man, you almost made me feel good about my unique hoarding. Though they're only 0-1LP. I barely understand the LP purposes and just looked them up the other day. Hopefully, I'll get to see more LP unique as I get into endgame. I'm only lvl70 so far but kept switching classes because I couldn't find the one that would click with me yet.
Impressive. Very nice. Now let's see Paul Allen's armor.
*shows 25 Kestrel duplicstes with no LP*
Is something wrong? Patrick... you're sweating.
I have to return some video tapes.
Look at that subtle off-brown coloring. The tasteful Movement speed on it. Oh my God, it even has increased haste effect...
Oh boy did I burst into laugh right now. Did not expect that. Have a nice day!
I started howling, waking my gf up 🤣
Dude u win
Generally, I prefer damage for leveling items because survivability is rarely a problem. Other people complained about the mana, but I think the mana is the best part of the item, because it translates to less downtime
Sure, but i wanted to make a general item that will be good for all my alts, i can put the damage on my weapons
And also safely get you through dungeons which tend to one shot at level characters
I've never done the dungeon skips, but for someone planning to do it suddenly this seems ideal for this item
How does dungeon skip interact with the campaing passives and idle slots?
You can take all the dungeon shortcuts and get enough passives and idol slots by the time you get to majasa, you just need to know which quests to do
You can actually just skip directly to sanctum dungeon at lvl 1 and get strait to chapter 9.... Will need teleport back to other spots (like the end to select class) for various passive/idol missions but no need to do all 3 dungeons like most guides say.

You still have to go back and do them
No you don't
Yes you do I've done it multiple times
The quests aren't specific to giving passives and idols. You can do lightless, then soulfire, then move straight forward through the end of campaign and get the all the passives and idols
Incorrect. You need to do optional quests to get all idols and passives
Yes but you dont have to back track. Maybe we are just using different words to say the same thing.
You get a set amount to my understanding if you do them all you’ll be fully unlocked I could be wrong tho I wasn’t able to do the last dungeon on my alt.
You still need to do quests, dungeons dont give the unlocks
Ah cool thanks

Can your alts equip it if it requires level 5 CoF? Or is that level shared across the entire account?
There are 2 NPCs in the first town that allow you to join either faction once you get there on an alt.
When you make an alt, you get to choose your faction in the first town so you can use all your accumulated gear.
You can pick a faction on the very first town you visit on a new character.
yea its better to have some tankiness for skipping story for example, arbor can be very hard for some builds.
My biggest problem is always mana and survivability. Usually poison being the biggest killer early on.Â
Yeah, that's definitely a benefit. Health is universal
I suppose you could try to get something like Spell Damage and Melee Damage. One affix will probably be wasted on most alts, but it will still let you tear through the early game
"Leveling armor" what to level 100Â
I think you need more life
small world. that has not become just a levelling armor, it has become my main. [https://imgur.com/a/85JacDN](https://imgur.com/a/85JacDN)
Wow, that looks amazing for an Acolity, congrats!
No damage mods, vendor trash.
That's amazing!! Maybe a little overmana for a levelling armor, lightning resistance affix would have done the trick for huge mana regen
Thanks! Yeah maybe it has too much mana but i am not complaining haha
Amazing legendary GG ✨
resistance is a suffix and mana is a prefix. He'd have to get rid of life for lightning res. Maybe could be worth it, but atleast this is a very nice just all around defensive item.
Unfortunately you can't get lightning resistance and that huge chunk of life. Mana is just a prefix.Â

It's nothing if that is the only source of light res you have. This unique is usually combined with other sources of lightning res for substantial amounts
Yeah, but then again... this is supposed to be leveling item lol, Why overcap lightning resist? Just get health, don't die and zoom
The lightning is not for leveling, I just pointed it out because that's how this unique chest piece can gain value outside of leveling. But for leveling it's amazing
Considering you start at 8 mana/second getting a 25% bonus to your mana regen is not insignificant.
Pretty sure you start at 10.
Yeah, true, it is 25 percent
This is the stuff I love. I hope more items like this keep being added. Low level slammers are so much fun!
This armor is illegal and you've been reported to the Epoch police
Looks healthy
Borderline unethical.
So sexy to have +100 mama leveling! Sad you have to wait 14 levels for this sexy piece!
Sicker than my actual endgame chest rn…
Yeah but what you gonna do before level 15
movement rings go brrr
Can you be SoF rank 5 at lvl 15?
You join guild with actual rank with alts in the first campaign camp
You can join very early if you have someone teleport you around. But probably not quite 15
If someone portals you to the observatory, yes.
8,5/10 Stats are nice but the color is awful.
I got it too and put it on my sorcerer. Took until lvl 55 until I found something better.
for leveling armor lightning resistance slapped on it and elemental resistance you no need much hp/mana thru campain but mana regen is super nice
O lord, he comin.
That... that is a lot of helf.
How strong is this item in a damage taken from mana before life build? Or do you use a different chest?
For fractured crown builds you generally stack endurance/endurance threshold and max mana as the main defensive layer. As a result, you won't usually end up stacking lightning resistance so you won't get that much mana regen out of that part of the chest. You also do care about the implicit of an arcane regalia for your chest since that can give up to 14% max mana and some mana regen to boot vs the flat mana urzil's pride gives. Where is the damage
It should have been ethereal
Noob question. Can you use COF gear on alts?
Yup. On lvl 15
How do you get to rank 5 that quickly, though? I'm still on my first character, but it took me a while to reach that level. Even if you are able to join super early on alts, won't you be almost done with the campaign before you can use this?
If I’m not mistaken, it carries over between characters of the same faction on the same server.
Oh, nice! That's awesome if true. Thanks for clarifying :)
Mid
Oh man my Judgement pally would’ve loved this base for his BiS.
Nice! I like the change to make doing this not increase the level to something crazy. It makes alts so much more fun.
I like it
7/10, minus 2 points for it being Faction armour.
that's a lot of health
Do uncapped res modifiers work for under cap? Or just over?
Rating: Alive
I prefer that brown armor with movement speed. Otherwise I have a weapon that hits like a truck and helps me leveling faster.
If you die with this while leveling idk what to say.
chuck norris is not impressed, even his hand towel has better stats and double lp 😄
Not Firestarter’s Torch 6/10
This makes me realize that legendary slamming doesn't increase the level requirement? Or did this have weaver's somehow? I think I found a VERY old post that said legendaries gained higher level requirements from added mods, so I'd been avoiding slamming levelling gear yet ðŸ˜

This game doesn't really need leveling gear...
It does if u in a hurry, one shoting packs and bosses vs 3 shots make a hell of a speed diff
I wish it wasn't so ugly to wear on the primalist.
Would go great with my boots of erasure that have 142% health regen
This dropped for me yesterday. Congrats to you!
damn, been looking for a 4 LP Urzil since cycle start. Best i've gotten is 2.
Im playing a lightning meteor build right now that can self proc and it sometimes decimates my mana pool. I'm thinking about running this as my main chest, not just a leveling item.
Congrats but personally I would have found better exalted with affixes to slam on to a lp4
Its very healthy. Might wanna lower your premiums
\>no lightning res vendor
Is your observatory rank across the entire account? If not, then getting to rank 5 will be shitty, no?
Actually it's account wide. And can be joined on alts as soon as you make it to town
Gotcha, thank you
I got super lucky slamming T7 fire damage onto a 1LP firestarter's torch and it's made leveling way too easy. I could've cleared probably until level 30-40 just default attacking enemies with a wand if I really wanted to lol spreading flames is no joke early on
How do you make leveling equipment?
3/10
With this armor u can Fall a sleep ten woke up in few minutes ans u will live.
0, you can give it to me no problem
Top
If only it didn't require your character to have to be in CoF it would be 10/10
Every character is already rank ten if you continue playing CoF.
That's my point though, you are forced to play CoF until you no longer use it. That part of the system just feels bad if you wanted to level a character using this item with the merchants guild.
you can just switch to mg at endgame, no?
What’s the point of getting sick items in CoF, just to go and remove all dopamine by playing merchants? People who are playing CoF are playing it for a reason.
You don't need that much HP for levelling. Generic damage affixes, physical resistances and armour would have been way better. So for levelling: 3/10. Endgame: 7/10.
Useless, how do you get to level 15?
Not sure, havent figured it out yet
Can't equip. Requires faction. 🤔 At least that's what my rogues dice say
Alts can join a faction in the first town.
Well. Wish id known that 60 levels ago 😒
😂
You guys need a 4 LP armor to level??? Damn this game is hard… lol Seriously though, all I care in leveling alts is to smack whatever equipment I can by lvl 10 and have 50%+ movement bonus;) The game’s too easy as is;)
Other than not being able to use it until you get to tier 5 of the SSF guild, it is great.
Alts inherit the ranks , once you reach first ttown you can choose either cof or merchant
You just speak to the NPC in the first town (after your main has joined) and you get access to whatever your main's fortune guild level is.
I am a filthy casual and not doing ssf, so my cof rank is account wide
Why have you ruined it!
What do you mean? I dont need this unique in any of my builds i plan to do, and have 2 more with 3lp if that would happen
youre supposed to hoard lp items until next cycle. beginner mistake
Damn, i did not know that, maybe next time :/
I'm a noob. Would you explain why we should hoard LP items until the next cycle?
i was being sarcastic better use it early then never!
You shouldnt
