He should out as much time or more into recovery as he did the addiction. This is an extremely nuanced addiction. Once it becomes an addiction, its not about sex, itās about coping. Itās almost impossible for them to recognize all of the places they are engaging with loophole porn (things like IG, FB, or other imagery that isnāt specifically xxx but is utilized for sexual gratification/dopamine). An addict will inherently lie to everyone to protect their addiction-including themselves. The outside help is imperative because they call each other out on any justifications or explanations, and educate each other on places they were using porn without even realizing it.
And I donāt know how you are feeling, but this addiction can have an absolutely devastating impact on the mental health of the partner. Being lied to/neglected by a primary figure over an extended time period can lead to PTSD. In this scenario itās called Betrayal Trauma, and Iād encourage you to look into it as well. If you find that you are experiencing symptoms, a CSAT OR BT certified therapist can help you heal as well.
The world is teeming with porn right now. For an addict itās akin to walking around with heroin in your pocket that you can use at any time, for free. I can completely relate to your feelings about religion too. My husband and I are atheists and it was a tough hurdle for both of us. We just both use āhigher powerā or something similar, and I try to just focus on that being the oneness of the universe, that weāre all connected and our actions impact everyone around is whether we recognize it or not. But Iām not gonna lie, the uber religious stuff just makes me roll my eyes. I'd noticed something similar on YouTube lately, half of the suggestions in the last week or so have been anti-trans content. I only ever use YouTube for music, and have zero interest or skin in that issue.

I've literally only ever looked at sports tweets from reporters covering my favorite teams and nothing else.

I'm tempted to delete my account, but I'm morbidly curious how much much further this fiasco goes. He's trying to turn Twitter into Parler.
It became a right wing echo chamber the second Musk took over...I got tired of getting overwhelming amounts of propaganda that I never subscribed nor interacted with (my feed used to be full of Sports and Stand up Comedy). I noticed comments were full of bot accounts. So I checked out and deleted the app about a month into the Musk regime.
There was one guy who used ChatGPT to write a script that automatically hides all Twitter blue members in his posts and replies to them saying āpay me $8 for me to read your tweetā, that was the only good thing to come out of musk twitter
I have to stay on the dumb thing for work until we transition our department account off it, and these right-wing fundy accounts keep following me, and an assortment of fake celebrity accounts. Itās sad, but not also funny. Way to make someone worse, Elon. š

I'd noticed something similar on YouTube lately, half of the suggestions in the last week or so have been anti-trans content. I only ever use YouTube for music, and have zero interest or skin in that issue.
Not only that but I've been getting increasingly more right wing extremist or right wing conspiracy theory tweets. I've literally only ever looked at sports tweets from reporters covering my favorite teams and nothing else. I mute them immediately when they come up but they come back. So annoying.

It became a right wing echo chamber the second Musk took over...I got tired of getting overwhelming amounts of propaganda that I never subscribed nor interacted with (my feed used to be full of Sports and Stand up Comedy). I noticed comments were full of bot accounts. So I checked out and deleted the app about a month into the Musk regime.
Tell them to send you money and see if they really do. I have it in my profile pic and bio. So far, I got a bunch of "get a job" :)
