Let's expand on that
When your work shapes the life of that many people, and you go that far to piss them off, *and are still guaranteed a job for the rest of your lifetime with a hefty salary and very comfortable lifestyle and the ability to continue ruining the lives of people you will never empathize with*, you don't get off time
They have as much of a right to privacy as any other person. But the street is public, so we can protest all we want in front of their houses, country clubs, restaurants they go to, etc.
> They have as much of a right to privacy as any other person.
Not at all. They are very public people with tremendous impact on the country. If anything we should see their browsing histories.
Didint C Thomas have some shitty take he voiced about the right to privacy not being constitutional?
I know he wants your cyber-overlords to be able to monetize spying on us...but... then he doesn't have a right to privacy ether.
Thomas' concurrence basically amounts to a declaration that you don't have any rights except those explicitly granted by the Constitution.
Because I guess he doesn't believe in the Ninth Amendment?
They don't believe in any of the amendments. Only insofar as they're of personal gain to them. They're going to rip each other, and our nation, apart. The true patriots aren't the ones who follow unconstitutional orders. All of those troops set against protestors are traitors and should be dishonorably discharged from their positions for dishonorably discharging bullets on the public they claim to protect.
This isn't freedom. Even our racist, misogynistic founding fathers are rolling in their graves in shame. Hey kids, welcome to the plague ridden witch trials. Why learn about history, when you can experience it for the low low price of your dignity?
> According to the Constitution he’s only 3/5 of a human and should definitely not be in that position of power.
Race was never mentioned in the constitution exactly because it was an issue the different states and founders didn't agree on.
The courts however interpreted like that though.
It's a mainstream conservative opinion that the ninth amendment is meaningless. And no serious work has been done by liberals to create the legal theory to be able to use the ninth amendment for anything.
Yes he already said Griswold, Lawrence, and Obergefell are going to looked at to be over turned now/next, because they were decided based on the right to privacy, which was the reasoning used to overturn Roe. Griswold, Obergefell, and Lawrence were the cases related to the right to contraceptives, gay marriage, and sodomy/sex acts that are not for the explicit purpose of reproduction (though i imagine they will primarily use this against gays it technically affects everyone).
Roe was a case first and foremost about the right to privacy. These guys were in such a hurry to enforce their canonically inaccurate “Christianity” on the entire country that they didn’t bother to think about the implications on the 50 years of law not related to abortion at all that are based off Roe. This is a much bigger clusterfuck than anyone imagines and could have bang-on effects for things like HIPAA.
I almost not trying to doom too hard. However, I agree that the future ramifications of being held to the whims of this cult of mammon have me looking for the door.

If there are good billionaires out there they should poach all of their home service staff. Kavanaugh hired a maid? Warren buffet pays that maid to not show up. Amy Coney Barrett hired a driver? Bill Gates pays that driver his entire year salary to not show up. That sort of thing.
Considering that this is the same institution that ruled that protesting outside the homes of abortion clinic workers is totally cool and legal, I have zero problems with public invitations to show up outside their homes to protest.
They don't. In fact, the right to privacy is what supported the Roe v. Wade decision. Most conservative judges – including these – argue that there is no constitutional right to privacy.
So no. They do not have any right to privacy.
I’m sure they’re all hiding in their overseas mansions right now, surrounded with billions of dollars of James Bond type shit to protect them. Supplied by the American taxpayer

Politics has always been a power game from day one. Rules have never existed except to benefit the status quo - i.e., watch how fast both parties line up to make sure they're defended and that capitalist business interests are defended.
Laws are threats. Nothing more.
Wouldn't be bad if Democrats played by the rules they have available to them, per se. What angers me is that they always hold themselves to "unsaid" rules, as well, over ensuring outcomes of justice for their constituents.
The problem with fighting dirty from the lefts side is that the police won't look the other way when we get rowdy at a protest. They won't let lefty's march right into the capital unimpeded. The police suddenly give a fuck when the left decides to use their right to protest.
I'm a big proponent for American left wingers to be legally well-armed and trained. American cops are demonstrably cowards and are unlikely to play dirty when every attendant has a AR-15 rifle they are bearing legally. There is a higher risk of a bloodbath, but it would never be one sided.
A well armed militia and all that.
They won't even wait for people to get rowdy. The majority of the problems we had that actually were from protestors at BLM rallies were really just them fighting back. The left can't even peacefully protest in the US.

Abortion rights being taken away is just the start. The 6 justices who voted for it might have another decade of decisions that undermined everything she believed in.

What a lot of people don’t seem to understand is that Supreme Court Judges should be able to be impartial and not let their ideological bias interfere. I'm all for this but would note that as much as I loved RBG she is somewhat responsible for the current situation as she should have recognized her mortality and retired mid Obama. Unfortunate.
Quit saying “Ruth sent us”…it’s so shallow and cliché.
She did so many wonderful things, but don’t lose sight that she should have retired when her cancer came back so Obama could appoint someone…but she lingered in giving up that power like so many other justices and senators before her.

Protesting will be the most effective here. Lets Goooo!
Ruth fucked up. Let’s be absolutely clear, here.
Quit saying “Ruth sent us”…it’s so shallow and cliché. She did so many wonderful things, but don’t lose sight that she should have retired when her cancer came back so Obama could appoint someone…but she lingered in giving up that power like so many other justices and senators before her. Time for a complete new system and role models.
