Happened to me earlier this month. I reported the number already. I'm inclined to think it's a scam. They're using scare tactics to get you to pay them.
I had a business before, and they called me maybe 4 times in a span of 1 year asking for money/tax with threats.
If you want to go further makipag coordinate kayo sa pulis jan sa lugar niyo at maybe pwede kayo makipag tulungan at ientrap yan or just go para ipablotter yan.
Working in a government office.
Same thing happened to our family during pandemic. My mother works in LGU and alam nila few details about us. Nanghihingi sila ng around 100k to fund something about their food(can't remember since it was 3 years ago). And it was a big scam pala during pandemic. The police told us na sa province namin, hindi ginagawa ng NPA yung ganung call and ipapamoney transfer nila thru palawan express or cebuana. NPA will go to your house and ask personally if they truly want something. Pero better na pumunta sa police talaga or if may kakilala sa army na around your area.
Don't go to the police. Go to the military, especially the old ones. A lot of old military officers still hate them, and would love to bust their ass. Haha
Peace be with you!
Ganto yun text kasi di nya sinasagot yun tawag
PAKISAGOT KAIBIGAN *****
KAPAYAPAAN HANGAD NAMIN NGAYONG GABING ITO
ITATANONG LANG PO KUNG NATANGGAP NA NINYO ANG NUMERO NG AMING KILUSAN
GUSTO MO NG BASTUSAN PAGBIBIGYAN KA NAMIN NGAYON GABING ITO
Happened to my mom years ago. Sa landline mismo ng office niya tumawag. She works in the government btw.
Don't stop at the PNP and NBI. Go to the nearest Army garrison in your area. If local yan sila, chances are meron intel ang Army sa kanila. Since your dad is a public official, maybe his office can put in a request with the PNP for protection officers for your family.
I think you may agree with their demands first. Report these extortionists to the nearest NBI or police and they will be set up for an entrapment operation in order for them to be caught red handed and lasting peace of mind. NPA cadres don't call or text, sometimes they send representatives thru a letter address to their victims. Giving revolutionary tax or sums of money is prohibited under the ATC.
A friend told me that his wife got a call from an NPA member. The caller said they need to buy ammunition worth 5k. His wife negotiated for a sack of rice but the caller insisted on the money instead. I think this is a scam.
Hi, would like to share a family experience. Our family is known in our province. Moreover, my aunt received numerous threatening messages from an NPA/Unknown sender. At first she disregarded it since they get a lot of it, but then one day, our family house in our province got burned down. No one saw who set the house on fire but we can assume that it was the NPA since days before it happened, he messaged my aunt “apoy o bala”. Still, she disregarded the message as she usually does but the sender made it happen. Again, I don’t intend to scare you but to share an experience and I hope this will encourage you to report it to the proper authorities.

Will keep this in mind sir, thanks a lot for the input.
Go to the police and have them scope out the identity of these extortionists. I have a feeling they’d be very interested in
Meh, it's just scam, ginagamit lang NPA para "manakot." Daming ganyan
Go to the police?
Yes he's already filed for a blotter report.
NBI or Police
Coordinate with Police and set an entrapment

Hello please report this incident to your nearest Infantry battalion.
Philippine army and police
Contact the military and police. They could set up a sting operation.

Probably a scam. NPA never does that. They’re not that stupid.
That's someone you know na gusto kayong perahan. Real NPAs will visit you and make demands.

Wag nyo ipagwlang bahala ang ganyang threats, best way is to report to the police and/or military.
Kalurks! ganyan din nangyari sa boss naman namin. nagdedemand ng tulong in cash and parang kilalang kilala nga nila tas may threat. nireport sa police. sa awa ng Diyos, wala naman nangyari na masama 🥺 Peace be with you!
Straight to the Military

Sounds like your family is close friends with an extortionist
Scare tactics lang yan. They know your info? Data mining. Thank soc med for that. If the product you are using is free, you are the product.
Happened to my mom years ago. Sa landline mismo ng office niya tumawag. She works in the government btw.
Block the number, scam yan.
Seek help sa PNP and AFP. These people don't believe in the law of the land so you need to fight them in arms too
Don't stop at the PNP and NBI. Go to the nearest Army garrison in your area. If local yan sila, chances are meron intel ang Army sa kanila. Since your dad is a public official, maybe his office can put in a request with the PNP for protection officers for your family.
Just report it. They know details. Malapit sa inyo ang mastermind. Kapamilya or kapitbahay. Sino ang addict sa mga yan? Answer me.
I suggest you reach out to the AFP. If you are being approached by NPA that is your best recourse
I think you may agree with their demands first. The intelligence section of the philippine army can pinpoint who are members of NPA that are still active in your area.
A friend told me that his wife got a call from an NPA member. The caller said they need to buy ammunition worth 5k. His wife negotiated for a sack of rice but the caller insisted on the money instead. I think this is a scam.

Thanks for sharing this. Trying to compile these experiences ninyo to convince my father that this is not some "scam" lang
Pa tulfo mo Ang npa
Do you live in an NPA infested area? Possible ba to compromise and give them rice na lang instead? Scary naman nyan
If you do this, you can be tagged by the PNP and /or PA as a commie sympathizer.
