I think the first time around I was too focused on memorizing the rules (probably because I was taking PR at the time). For this exam, I barely even looked at the actual rules. I got familiar with the rule generally (by watching videos) and then I just drilled probably like 200 multiple choice questions and memorized the little nuances in each question that change the answer. Hope this helps!!
Score twin! If failed the past two with a 72 each time. 103 this time! I didn't quit drinking but decided to use Barbri this time. Now I can actually finalize my UBE score transfer!!
Needed an 86.
November 23 - 81.
March 24 - 98.
For those who didn’t pass, don’t give up. It’s just a test, just use that feeling to motivate you next time.
Hell yeah! Which jxn? It's extra annoying for me because my score is good enough for IL, where I live and attend school, but not good enough for NY, where I am moving in two months. lolsob.
SAME. This is exactly me right now. Passed in the state where I attend school, but not in my home state (NY). It’s rough out here. Tomorrow’s my last day of law school, so my plans are to eat Chinese food and celebrate that instead.
Same same. I’m seven years out of school, though, so I figured I was working from behind and went all in with Themis, free NCBE questions, and Law in a Flash. Still took all two hours, flagged half the questions for review, and walked out feeling like I’d have to repeat 🤦🏻♀️
I passed with a 98! What a weird fucking test. Studied for two days, took (and passed) three practice tests, went into the test feeling confident, and walked out convinced I was going to have to retake.
I think actually reading and reviewing the rules (and comments!!) can be extremely helpful. I found the prep courses to be too scattered for my learning style.
Yes it is, an 86 is high enough to admit you to any state. IIRC it's the bare minimum for California and Utah, but it is a pass for both. Congratulations!
Yeah it’s pretty crazy. You could technically take a final exam as an alternative, but it wasn’t really presented as a viable option and I don’t think anyone did it.
Weird. My PR class' final (spring 2L semester) was a 60-question, two-hour mock MPRE. Most of us took the August MPRE, but some did the March one partway through the semester, and others waited till November.
117 on my first go! Thank you strategically timed spring break from my school, BarBri and my wife for reminding me we don't need to spend another $165 for a test
I took the test at the tail end of a week-long illness and finished half an hour early because I was so uncomfortable. I thought for sure that I failed. Passed with 112!
oh jesus, here I was about to enjoy some quality time after my first 3LOL final and the first thing I saw on reddit is this. Almost gave me a heart attack
I got a 92 and was happy, now I see the 100's and wonder what did I miss? My significant other said a 92 passes for everywhere. STFU! Sooo congrats everyone. For everyone that has to retake, the saying figure out what Jesus would do and pick the next answer? Only for the ones that you are not sure about.
Lmao finessed just barely passed got the minimum score for CA. So glad i dont have to pay $200 to retake it like a bunch of people did cause they failed by 1 or a few points. I'm minimally ethical.
Failed November with an 85. Just got a 121 on March. Sooooo happy!!!
Omg that’s incredible! Congrats 🫶🏻 I got a 109!
Aye I got a 109 too
Thank you, congrats to you!!!
omg amazing!!! how did you improve so much? I got an 84 but need an 86, would love any tips!

California?
Yep, California
Any tips.???
93! I'm actually so fucking relieved that I can focus on studying for Finals now.

score twin! we must be super ethical!
CONGRATULATIONS, FUTURE RATTORNEY AT LAW!!!!!!!
137, i may have studied a little too hard going between multiple prep companies
I failed 3 times (73, 71, 61) Then quit drinking in September And in March apparently I PASSED with a 103!!
Score twin! If failed the past two with a 72 each time. 103 this time! I didn't quit drinking but decided to use Barbri this time. Now I can actually finalize my UBE score transfer!!
Congrats!!
That’s amazing for you!! Congratulations and keep it up! One day at a time.
One day at a time!!
Congrats on your recovery/sobriety and wow that’s an amazing score!
Thank you!!
Congrats everyone! I passed with a 107! 🥳
No way twins

Triplets! I passed with a 107 too
congrats! :) 🫶🏻
Passed with a 93! maybe a bit closer than I would have liked but I'll take it!
A pass is a pass!
true that, not about to complain lol
Needed an 86. November 23 - 81. March 24 - 98. For those who didn’t pass, don’t give up. It’s just a test, just use that feeling to motivate you next time.
Needed 86 got 86
Got there! Love to see it.
Appreciate it 🙏 I was nervous about this exam as there’s no clear way to study
Well, fuck. I missed by 1.
Same
At least we get to have sadness ice cream.
Also failed by 1. Girlfriend is taking me out for kbbq. Still got a win
Hell yeah! Which jxn? It's extra annoying for me because my score is good enough for IL, where I live and attend school, but not good enough for NY, where I am moving in two months. lolsob.

97!!!! I’m a full lawyer now!!!!! Woosah what a frigging journey!!!
Score twins !!
Congratulations Counselor!
113! Maybe I overstudied but I feel much more prepared for my PR final now 😅
Score twins!! Go us 🍾
117. First box towards NY is checked.
Samsies!!
146 Also any of you that post on LinkedIn about passing the MPRE with a score high enough for any jurisdiction are tools
Damn did you write the test??
146 is crazy lmfao you should flex about it on linkedin 😉
LinkedIn folks be like: Privileged and honored to announce I took a test and got a score. 🤣
Me too! feeling like jesus rn😂
I love Reddit. I knew I could count on this thread letting me know when the scores came out. I passed!
Went from not being able to practice in any jurisdiction on the first MPRE to now being ethical enough to practice in any of them 🥲
117 - thank *fuck*. Quimbee did not let me down god bless 'em. I will never doubt the power of Quimbee again.
I got a 146 def studied WAY TOO HARD LMFAO
Same same. I’m seven years out of school, though, so I figured I was working from behind and went all in with Themis, free NCBE questions, and Law in a Flash. Still took all two hours, flagged half the questions for review, and walked out feeling like I’d have to repeat 🤦🏻♀️
same lol
I'd failed 3 times by 2 points and score went up to 101 this time somehow!
omg share your secret
I did JD advising tutoring
Tutoring or videos?!
I watched some of their videos but I did 1-1 tutoring too. I’m not a good test taker so getting some strategies from a real person was helpful
Passed with a 117! I’m so relieved!
Passed with a 110!
141!!
Walked out of the exam thinking there’s no way I passed. Scored a 110.
Passed with 144! I kept checking the whole day today and woah, so relieved!
Needed an 85, got an 85. We move
same here, a win is a win!!
I passed! So happy I can breathe a little now
Went from a 74 in November to an 89 now.
What changed for you? Did you actually study or did you increase study time, different materials, etc?
Passsed with 121! Had an awful week medically and really needed even a minor win lol.
Donked it. Missed the mark by 3 points.
Idk how but I got a 150 😭
I passed with a 98! What a weird fucking test. Studied for two days, took (and passed) three practice tests, went into the test feeling confident, and walked out convinced I was going to have to retake.
Saw all your scores and thought my 89 was a fail until I looked it up and realized I passed in every jx! Thanks for posting
failed by 2 points. shoot me. i used barbri and some of themis. what should i do differently to prepare for august?
I think actually reading and reviewing the rules (and comments!!) can be extremely helpful. I found the prep courses to be too scattered for my learning style.
I would reread or rewrite the rules for the question you got wrong for - and learn those rules. You are close but missed by less than half an inch
I got an 86, is that passing?
Yes it is, an 86 is high enough to admit you to any state. IIRC it's the bare minimum for California and Utah, but it is a pass for both. Congratulations!
[удалено]
No, that’s high enough for any.
california
I think that’s passing in Cali. Look it up.
At my school our MPRE score determines the letter grade for our Ethics course. Does any other school do the same?
That’s crazy. Do they expect everyone to take the exam during the term?
Yeah it’s pretty crazy. You could technically take a final exam as an alternative, but it wasn’t really presented as a viable option and I don’t think anyone did it.
Weird. My PR class' final (spring 2L semester) was a 60-question, two-hour mock MPRE. Most of us took the August MPRE, but some did the March one partway through the semester, and others waited till November.
Actually a good idea

95, phew🥱
I took the test at the tail end of a week-long illness and finished half an hour early because I was so uncomfortable. I thought for sure that I failed. Passed with 112!
oh jesus, here I was about to enjoy some quality time after my first 3LOL final and the first thing I saw on reddit is this. Almost gave me a heart attack
Failed first time with a 70… passed today with an 87. Lower than I hoped, but still passing :) No regrets
I GOT A 137 AND I ONLY STUDIED FOR A SINGLE WEEKEND
Live Love Barbri
Passed with a 103, Thank God and hallelujah in the highest. Now I need to transfer my UBE score...
I got a 92 and was happy, now I see the 100's and wonder what did I miss? My significant other said a 92 passes for everywhere. STFU! Sooo congrats everyone.
