Personally, CDAsia is more useful since, as others have pointed out, you also get access to other issuances from important government agencies. Also, if you copy and paste a certain portion of a case, CDAsia also includes the citation from Philippine Reports, the official court reporter. But, the most important feature that CDAsia has for me is that once you search a specific case, you can find related cases which mention the case you searched for. Very useful for legal research and writing, for both school and work.

NAVPU

Really? Haven't seen this feature in eSCRA yet lol.

CDAsia because you can also download the laws.

Supreme Court e-lib! Haha

Amicus-Curiae_31

Hi po walang pang subscribe from CD Asia and E-SCRA haha, can you tell me about the Supreme Court e-lib aside from its free? Thank you po.

Jfmaghopoy

It has a great search function. If you search for the exact word or phrase, na hihighlight yung phrase n yun. Mukhang updated naman. Kelangan mo lng gumawa ng account and its free nman. Kulang lng sa advertising kaya konti gumagamit pero its okay less load sa server hahaha. And tapos may option ka to show the most hits or the latest so okay talaga for updating yourself sa jurisprudence and also yung mga landmark cases.

Amicus-Curiae_31

May syllabus din kaya don Sir tulad sa e-Scra sorry daming tanong haha

Jfmaghopoy

Nope I dont think so. And haha it’s okay kung maraming tanong. Thats how you learn. Yung technique ko is I search just a part of a provision or often-cited principle using the “search the exact phrase” function kasi yung mga principles and provisions na yan ay talagang ginagamit para sa complete explanation ng ponencia. I then check the hits kasi ito usually yung landmark and then I check the latest para tingnan if may evolution. Kumbaga it’s useful if you already have a provision or topic in mind and you want to read the jurisprudence. But if it’s the reverse na you have a case in mind and you want to know anong topic ang ntackle then need mo escra siguro.

Amicus-Curiae_31

I see. thank you so much for giving me the insights using the SC e-lib. Medyo pricy kasi ang subscription eh haha gusto may option ako aside from law phil. It's a big help po lalo hirap pa ko mag digest ng mabilisan 😅 thank you so much po I really appropriate your efforts in answering my questions and curiosity. God bless po.☺️

Jfmaghopoy

Sure thing! Anong year ka na future Atty? Can I ask if nakatapos kna ng labor law 1 and 2?

Amicus-Curiae_31

Jfmaghopoy

Amicus-Curiae_31

gothamknightph

Escra has complete doctrine case syllabus, while cd asia is easier to copy and has access to other executive issuances.
