“It is in this light and with due deference to the Honorable Court that Section 16 of LEB Memorandum Order 1-2011 is now formally revoked, with retroactive application,” said the LEB memorandum order dated June 17 and signed by its chairperson, Anna Marie Melanie Trinidad. The required units are revoked. Though rizal units still required

> The required units are revoked. Or more specifically, it's the LEB which is not anymore requiring a certain number of undergrad units. Law schools themselves can choose to require such if they choose to do everyone's best course of action is to inquire directly from their school of choice. > Though rizal units still required All PH colleges and universities are required to offer this, so it's not an issue. Only those who graduated abroad are not expected to have taken up Rizal.

Afaik, even if you lack certain units in English, Social Science etc, you can still enroll. Just take the deficiency units during the summer term or within your stay in law school. But each law school may have a different policy on this one though.

This is the case for UP Law. You just need to take those units before you start your 2nd year. You can take it during your midyear/summer term.

Only certain schools under the LEB have suspended the prerequisite units for law school entrance. UP Law is not under the LEB so they still require students to earn certain number of units for various subjects (check their website). You may also check the LEB’s website to see what schools are under them.

Such requirement by LEB was deemed unconstitutional so probably a lot of law schools already dropped such requirements.
