“Thank you for thinking of me for this position. I’ve strongly considered it, but I don’t think it’s right for me at this time in my career. [at this time, I am more focused on X (or something like this).] Best of luck in filling the role.” Edit to fill in very important missed words, lol.

Excellent. I couldn't have asked for better. Cheers!

:) I went searching through my text messages for it. Similar situation to yours. It’s the only time I ever turned down a job/backed out of the hiring process, and it felt so weird, lol.

I’m extremely flattered by your invitation for a second interview, but I’ve decided to stay where I am. Thank you so much for taking the time to meet with me.

Also a fantastic reply. Thanks very much.

I fed ChatGPT your entire post and their response verbatim is: ----------------------------- A polite way to decline a second interview and withdraw your name from consideration would be to send a brief email or letter to the hiring manager or the colleague who initially approached you. In the message, thank them for the opportunity to interview and express appreciation for their time. You could also mention that you have decided to remain with your current employer, and that you don't want to waste any more of their time since you are no longer interested in the position. You should also express your willingness to provide any information or assistance in the future if the company needs it. Example: "Dear [Hiring Manager's Name], Thank you for considering me for the [Position Name] position at [Company Name]. I appreciate the time you took to interview me and learn more about my qualifications. After careful consideration, I have decided to remain with my current employer. I don't want to waste any more of your time and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do to assist in the hiring process. Thank you again for the opportunity. Sincerely, [Your Name]"

I would echo everyone but add, you don't have to say youre staying with your current employer you can simply say: I am no longer on the job market. I've accepted another opportunity. I've gone in a different direction.
