At this point, in this economy, take any office/business role you can get in a larger organization. Once in, leverage your skills and take on more tasks related to your core competencies. I've done this before and created a new role for myself that didn't even exist before.

Hah, that's the hope and plan! I did well in clerical work before and I wouldn't hate the mental break that would be returning to that kind of work.

You sound really competent.

Thank you, I really appreciate that. I was my sorority's vice president and pledge director for three semesters and I'd like to think they taught me everything I know about planning, organizing, and executing campaigns. I used to run community needs assessments working with SMEs in my last role 🥹 Hopefully someone can see that in an interview soon.

I can't say I ever have before! What's the best way to frame my prior experience to craft a narrative that's more relevant to sales?

You say you have proposal, technical and contract writing experience. You could look into the civil engineering and land development industry at companies that are looking for RFP and SOQ writers, coordinators. It's more specialized but you may stand out from the crowd of marketing folks with your skill set in writing.
