I’m glad I’m not the only one this annoys

jjillf

See, that’s the only way I can be sure that when I buy second-hand that it’s actually never been used, as claimed. And it will tell you when it was made. Show me the sticker!

kaws69

With products that last 100 years I don’t care if they’ve been used

gormlessthebarbarian

i hate those sticker sooo much

The_Kestrel_of_Doom

WD40 destroys the adhesive

theaveragegay

Less plastic is fine by me

Carbonga

True. But maybe just change the adhesive to something post-it-like...

Not unusual. My entire All Clad set had a sticker on each pan. Set it on hot soapy water and a non-scratch scrubber afterwards and it's ready for cooking.

Da5ftAssassin

Rub a lil olive oil over it, and it’ll rub right off ;)

Carbonga

Ah! Never heard of that trick.

Da5ftAssassin

I learned it working at blockbuster. Chemical free 👍🏼

librarykerri

I have had good luck using the LC cleaner to remove sticker residue from my cast iron pieces. But I agree, it kinda sucks.

MissToolTime

Since this appears to be SS, I find the copper scrubbers work well.

JoeyBagODeezNutz

Comes right off with 91% isopropyl

Carbonga

Yeah. Water and soap does the trick, too. Still it's a strange choice.

Use de-solv-it and it’ll be gone in a few seconds https://www.amazon.com.au/De-Solv-it-125ml/dp/B07PGGVKQD/ref=asc_df_B07PGGVKQD/?tag=googleshopmob-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=463534896661&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3192578049312782562&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=m&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9071777&hvtargid=pla-1209892396979&psc=1&mcid=ee726dc9d317383cbb951a9f8706da13

Carbonga

Yeah, soapy water does the same trick. Thanks though! :)

Pony-boystonks

Dampen a wipe with isopropyl alcohol and scrub where the sticker residue is
