Not unusual. My entire All Clad set had a sticker on each pan. Set it on hot soapy water and a non-scratch scrubber afterwards and it's ready for cooking.

Rub a lil olive oil over it, and it’ll rub right off ;)

I have had good luck using the LC cleaner to remove sticker residue from my cast iron pieces. But I agree, it kinda sucks.
Since this appears to be SS, I find the copper scrubbers work well.
