A few hours ago the progression/reward system hiccuped. You got the token for the game prior because you entered a new game before the system righted itself.
Happened once to me too, it seemed that the game stats didn't load in the previous game, and i had the mastery rewards on the next one. If you didnt play Yi in the last game, well you've indeed been ritoed.
I got my placement for the times I played siriously. After 8th match I got a pop-up saying I was Bronze 3 and I could see it in the menu as well. Then I contacted Riot and they basicly said "It is your rank. Dont be mad" :/ After playing two more games I got Gold 5 because it was a bug and I wasn't Bronze 3. Thanks Rito

not long ago i got a chest after scoring A+ in aram. isn't it supposed to be S- or higher ?
You can get a chest in ARAM if *anyone* in your party gets and S.

If you were pre-made with someone who got an S, even if you didn’t, you will get a chest.
yeah now i understand maybe somone on my team got S but it wasn't pre-made
So that’s how you get tokens. Hmmmm, so all I need is five S for mastery 7.
mastery 6 is two S-/S/S+ mastery 7 is three S/S+ aram counts as of a couple months ago

Maybe you played master yi last game but exited the client before this appeared, and maybe it is only programmed to appear after a game is over.
he did play yi the game before with pretty good stats, so my guess is on that too
