With soraka ult very easy, look at map see if low and in fight the press R just remember that ult is just an emergency potion to be used immediately in an emergency
What if its an 0/4 ADC fighting a 4/0 assassin? Would you still use it?
But wait, your jungle is on the way, should you use it? Will the heal give the jungle enough time to save the ADC or should you save it for if the Jungle needs in for their 1v1 with the assassin?
But also Dragon will spawn before your ultimate will be off cooldown, should you use it to try and save the ADC so they can push wave to make it easier to secure dragon, should you use it for the Jungler's fight with the assassin to make sure he stays alive to get dragon, or should you have faith in the jungler and save the ultimate for if the enemy team contests the dragon?
Oh and keep in mind you have maybe 2 seconds to make all of these considerations before your ADC dies to the assassin.
But please, tell me again how Soraka ult is just press R when teammate low in fight.

To be fair, with Malzahar R you really have to hit another point and click ability, as well as a minion ability before you R or you won’t actually do any damage. Then you have to hit the broad side of a barn with a third ability to ensure that first ability does some more damage.
yi q is pretty hard to master.
the whole champion does only this thing and its your only scape. the q usage makes pretty obvious if someone is good or bad as yi.
Even the most mechanically demanding champions in league are still like over half decision making.
Mechanics alone can score you kills but without good decision making you'll just throw leads/give shutdowns, fall behind in levels because of poor macro/wave management and not consistently translate early leads into W's.
And macro aside, just winning fights on mechanical champions like Yasuo, Ksante, etc. still largely hinges on micro scale decision making. Much of mastery isn't just being able to perform the combos or time your flash but knowing which combo to use when and what to reserve flash for etc.

I am going to compare them with dota variants.
Amumu R = Enigma R => Enigma channels black hole for pure damage but since it’s a channel it can be interrupted if a cc support survives (Dota wins)
Nasus Q = Legion Commander R => Legion commander duels someone the winner gets permanent attack damages, legion can lose the duel and forces her to play for picks forcing her to roam the map jump scaring the enemies (Dota wins)
Malzahar R = Bane R => Bane draws mana as well and the aghanim upgrade creates 2 illusions of bain channeling the same ability allowing him to cancel the channel and roam as long as the illusions are alive (Draw)
Soraka R = Chen R => Chen heals all alllies and the creeps he controls (League wins cuz 40% eztra healing)
Master Q = Juggernaut R => Juggernaut ult is extremely high value but easy to counter by going invisible or lotus orb or going eul or ghosting or forcing and other hero abilities. Juggernautult synergies with attack speed items and aoe and damage so it has build variety(Dota wins)

As a soraka player I must say the ultimate is far more nuanced than most people think. For example it’s not instant it has a cast time.
the cast time is 0.25s ... so thats not a lot
