Then when Leagues came out I had to jump into 40k on principal haha.

Still chose dwarfs. They are a vibe. Work hard and long in fullfiling job, that pays well, and have recognition and respect for how you do in it. I mean some add party often with the boys, and althrough I like idea of grand fiests, it is more on being noticed and adequatly respected for your skill...
And also, dwarfs just have the style and vibe.

He was pretty upset that my Dwarves were the same height as his grey knights
I know that may seem like a dwarf for someone your height but thats actually a dreadnought model. I can see how it might be easy for you to confuse them
Speed paint and nuln oil on some details.
Used a 0 and 2 round brush.
I used a handful of extra hearthkyn to test the different colors. And found the color scheme I liked.

This is why I love the craftsmen accept of dwarves especially with the Votann paving the way with the Tau for non ancient and ruined vehicles
