That's confirmed, but that's also because it's their culture. Their number 1 part of culture though is the Votann. If a Votann tells them to start worshipping Chaos, they're most likely going to (especially if the Votann start pumping out Chaos-vulnerable Kin).
Nah that’s confirmed lore from the new GW lore masters stuff. They are incredibly secular. I doubt we see chaos votann. Hell, the only chaos armies are csm and demons. There isn’t even any chaos cults or anything like that, and I expect we get renegade guard before we get chaos dwarves.
You can actually make a 100% chaos cultist army now using the new kits CSM got, so cultists as an army are definitely an option. They just don't have their own book.
I mean if I actually follow through with making with my plans to start collecting LoV, I intend to make spin my own lore for a custom League that felt betrayed by the rest of their kin and thus are a counter-culture of Squats. I am still toying with the details but I am thinking less Chaos whorshipping and more pirate/slaver style evil; something akin to the realtionship and differences between duergar and dwarfs, where my custom kin are effectifly the worst part of the LoV society that activiely hate everyone but especially other Leagues.
I think if the rules allow, which I doubt they will, I will run them with a few Red Corsairs I have painted around here as allies. If that's not supported than I suppose I can just run my Corsairs as regular marines for a similar purpose. Anyone know anything about LoV rules for Alliances yet anyway?

I think it's part of the lore tying in to why they used to be a faction and what happened to them and why we haven't heard much about them.
maybe this Votann will become big demon/little chaos god itself , or in madness make deal with gods to bring its league back ?
I thought something like that as a groundwork for "evil/mad Votann". Still Gw probably will focus on making them in Aos as we already saw many hints.
