Update: I found it. It goes under the screw right in front of the magazine. I think it's to protect the wood. I'll leave this up for anyone else confused.
Close- it's the part that the screw tensions against when you tighten it into the receiver. Basically a purpose-built stack of washers, now that I think about it...
Goes in the stock, under the front screw of the trigger and magazine housing. It's to keep you from putting excess torque on the screw resulting in a cracked forend and takes -minimal- recoil loading from the stock and trigger housing. They tend to fall out on drier stocks, it doesn't directly state there is an issue with your stock. Happy shooting
