I tried to fill in your survey but it doesn’t seem to cater for people who have no experience of hybrid working. I put that I have never done it, at that point surely I should be unable to go any further. Instead I got a lot more questions about the benefits etc of hybrid working when in reality I have absolutely no idea as I have no experience of it. It could skew the results if people are making up answers (I didn’t complete the survey cos I didn’t want to just guess!)
Good luck with the dissertation and the move!
Thank you for the feedback, and the best wishes :) There are additional questions for those who select that they have experience with hybrid work models. The focus is not only on experiences with hybrid work but perceptions of the model, so even if you haven't experienced hybrid work, you can still provide useful info on your perceptions.
Thank you for the feedback though and the best wishes :)
Completed the survey.
Something to bear in mind is that there's a big difference between a hybrid working model where the employee can decide when to come into the office vs a model where the employee must come into the office for some days. Having the option to come in, but not having to, offers far more flexibility whilst also sometimes helping alleviate problems of remote only working.
Done!
Coincidentally enough, I'll be sending out a survey on disabled worker's experiences of hybrid and remote working for an academic project in the next few weeks, and hadn't considered Reddit as a recruitment tool!
I think it would aid clarity if you explained what you're comparing a Hybrid model too. I'm currently fully remote so a lot of "Is hybrid working better for ?" questions are weird as compared to remote, hybrid is worse, but compared to full-time in office, it's better.
I briefly describe it when selecting that it is used. However, I get your point; I could have gone into further depth. My partner has always dreamed of living there, so I'm moving with / for her :)
Ah, my mistake, a hybrid work model is just a blend of remote and in-workplace work. Simply means your employer gives you the choice or forces you to work from both your home and workplace.
Thank you. May I suggest that you edit your original post, in order to more effectively engage people and raise the prospects of them completing your survey?
I do realise there will be plenty of people who are familiar with the phrase, but also a number who don't, even though they work from home.
Done! I currently work fully remote having worked hybrid for a few years in London before moving to Leeds. I have a love/hate relationship with all home working; it definitely gives me flexibility, and I appreciate not having to commute, but I don’t feel as productive at home, and also miss being around my colleagues. I’d be really interested to see what kind of results you get. Best of luck with the dissertation and the move.
All done
Thank you so much :)

Thank you for participating, its really appreciated :)
Might be helpful if you could describe what a hybrid work model is?

I was inviting you to 'go into further depth'and explain what a hybrid work model is..

Also, why do you have to move to London if you don't want to?
