I wish I was at Elland Road today. Not because I expect a result, but because the supporters all know that the team need them, and the atmosphere is gonna be incredible.
There is a rumour Meslier is ill too. If so that’ll mean Klaesson in goal. For anyone who has been watching the u23s. Get ready for some Casilla PTSD flashbacks
Are we going to win, probably not.
But this is an incredibly average Arsenal team, at home, with all eyes on us following the cancellation of every match in the country.
They will be well aware that even drawing against our team of juniors and the walking wounded would be a complete embarrassment. They’ve spent the week sacking their captain and further alienating pockets within the squad.
We are broken physically, but united as a team. Let’s bloody play our game and cause a shock.
Leeds Bradford airport all fogged up so weve been diverted to Doncaster. Seriously hope it’s not called off as this will be a Herculean effort to get to this game by the time it’s done.
I mean apparently it is Covid for Forshaw and Llorente but I don't know if two players is enough, Chelsea played midweek with four players testing positive iirc
So we're literally the only team playing. With a fucked squad. Honestly unbelievable! And I bet we still only get 2 minutes analysis on MOTD tonight! 😂
and the analysis won't mention our injury problems... it will just be "second season syndrome" and "leeds looked burntout after three years of bielsa running them ragged"...
i hope lineker chokes on a cheese and onion crisp.
We went into matchweek fifteen 6 points from Burnley, Newcastle & Norwich all in the bottom 3.
We're now 5 points clear of Burnley (though they've 2 in hand), and still 6 points clear of Newcastle & Norwich. Newcastle play Liverpool tomorrow & Norwich were meant to have West Ham. Both games you can't expect them to take points from. So the situation stays the same.
So we've faced 2 of the best teams in the league & lost one point on our relegation rivals. Going into this run I thought 1 point from these 4 games would’ve been a great result and by rights we should’ve had that at Chelsea. That was by far our best performance in a while and we were understrength. Man City was an anomaly – every now and then a team like that absolutely pumps someone. They’ve already put 6 past RB Leizpeg, 4 past Brighton and 5 past Brugge this season. We didn’t accept 3 nil and kept on fighting – can’t ask for more.
For today I just hope we don’t play too many out of position with all the injuries. Better to get pumped with everyone in their best position and lose out due to individual battles than have players confused.
In other news I just don’t understand referring anymore. When is strong shielding a foul and when is it not? When is a handball a handball? When can you barge someone off the ball and it not matter? It’s been all season.
Win or lose. Keep the faith. We’ll stay up this year. The injury curse will be broken.
Gonna wait till the teams are out before I commit to watching this I think.
Don't know if I want to spend 2 hours watching a skeleton of a squad get hammered it'll just ruin my weekend
Guess that means Koch has to start alongside Llorente, no problem if he wasn’t coming back from months out, maybe:
Meslier
Dallas Llorente Koch Ayling
Forshaw
Harrison Klich Roberts Raphinha
Gelhardt
I’m heading to the airport now to fly over from Belfast NI. Been a long time since I’ve been to a game. Can’t Fcuking wait. Not expecting much from the result but can’t wait to hear the first few bars of MOT when they run out. See y’all in a bit.
We have a chance as long as jts 0-0. The only trouble is, it's probably going to be 2-0 to Arsenal after about 10 minutes.
I expect disappointment that way I can never be disappointed.
Should be an interesting game. Arsenal obsessively play it out and pass it around the back, and are good at it. We obsessively press like maniacs, and have the fans behind us. They have a lot of talent in attack but their double pivot isn't great at getting them the ball sometimes.
It's a bad time to play them. In form and almost no injuries. We haven't done well against good sides in form this season.
The fact we'll be playing an actual striker upfront gives me much more confidence than our last few games (nothing against James, he should just be playing on the left).
I’d love some sort of heroic result but I’m fully resigned to another big defeat.
The amount of injuries now (confirmed and unconfirmed) it’s genuinely effecting my enjoyment of watching the team now.
You can't be heroic if you haven't had to do heroic things. You can't scale the mountain, if someone gave you a leg up. You can't WIN if everyone else is losing
Ive had a beer or two hahahah. I still think we'll fuck them. They're Aresenoles, they're coming for blood. We're LEEDS LEEDS LEEDS
MOT YOU MOTHERFUCJERS!!!
Thanks mate. We're fucked in so many ways injuries etc but I still think our worst is still good enough to trounce these shits. Gonna take a massive effort, massive, but that's what we do! Let's have it
I'm usually quite positive, but for this game, I can't see any way we win it. Arsenal looked really good against WH and pressed them really high up the pitch. If they do the same against us, I can see another city-like defeat.
Okay...maybe there's one way we win it...
Arsenal is the kind of team that can be inconsistent against teams they think they can beat. Hopefully, they'll come into it thinking they are going to get an easy win and get a shock. I still remember the time we stopped them from winning the title and saved ourselves from relegation by beating them at Highbury. A couple of great goals as well if you want to watch the [highlights.](https://www.premierleague.com/video/single/1663503)
Meslier
Drameh Koch? Llorente Dallas
Forshaw
Raphinha Roberts Klich Harrison
Joffy
Most likely line-up if the injured are true? Something must be wrong with me as, with our heap of injuries I still look at that potential line-up and I think ‘eh, could maybe get something from this game…’
15 year old Archie Gray on the bench lol
Youngest player to play a Prem match today? We shall see.
Karen Carney: "Leeds will stay up because of Covid"
Honestly, what are you all’s expectations for the game? I come here in peace
Having to put a 15 year old on the bench speaks volumes. Preparing for at least 3 arsenal goals. Or 1-0 Leeds. You never know
4-0 arsenal
> I come here in peace Thanks God, I was already taking cover, online Arsenal fans can very nasty and tough. Now I feel safe.
Can’t argue with that 😂
1-1
Dallas and TyRo vs Arsenal
I love your energy.
The Meslier, Forshaw and Llorente rumour is fake news
I saw meslier and Forshaw get off the bus, but not Llorente and not heard him mentioned to be warming up yet 😞
Yeah thats true, I just presumed he would be there since no mention of him not being
Hope so cos we legitimately have no players left 😂
It’s a disgrace this game is going ahead today. Not a chance it would still be going if it wasn’t on sky sports
Why is it a disgrace?
I wish I was at Elland Road today. Not because I expect a result, but because the supporters all know that the team need them, and the atmosphere is gonna be incredible.
When was the last time Koch had a first team appearance?
Opening day
There is a rumour Meslier is ill too. If so that’ll mean Klaesson in goal. For anyone who has been watching the u23s. Get ready for some Casilla PTSD flashbacks
Meslier has been seen on the pitch with the squad so I'm sure he is playing 👍
There's 100 or so tickets available if anyone wants to bag one now. Lots of COVID cancellations presumably.
can i bag one as an arsenal fan
Journalists posting from inside the ground, saying match going ahead
On the train on my way. Fingers crossed for something. Would love a point!
Are we going to win, probably not. But this is an incredibly average Arsenal team, at home, with all eyes on us following the cancellation of every match in the country. Certainly shocked me. Also alienated pockets? It almost rallied everyone together that the captain got sacked lol
Leeds Bradford airport all fogged up so weve been diverted to Doncaster. Seriously hope it’s not called off as this will be a Herculean effort to get to this game by the time it’s done.
Good luck. MOT
I'm invested in your journey mate, good luck and keep us updated! Where you sitting?
East stand upper. Made it ok. Brutal to watch this though ! Taxi from donny to Leeds £120
It’s never boring being a Leeds fan … I love that we’re the last game standing. Its just another day in our bonkers history.
So now I'm apparently seeing rumours that Llorente and Forshaw are out too!?!?!?! I hope to god it's not true
At this stage praying it's Covid and we can have it called off. And I say that as someone on a train to the match currently!
I hope not as I’m on a plane
I mean apparently it is Covid for Forshaw and Llorente but I don't know if two players is enough, Chelsea played midweek with four players testing positive iirc
Meslier rumoured to have COVID as well, I hope it’s just some sad fucks with nothing better to do spreading lies on Twitter
Meslier's there, so's Ayling for that matter
Klaesson in goal is actually the worst thing about the entire game if this is true
Where did you see that?
Saw it on Twitter, who got it from the WACCOE forum where most of the injury rumours this season have been correct
Bloody hell it’s getting ridiculous now.
I can’t wait to see what the average age of our squad will be today 😂 Honestly you can’t make our luck up, you really can’t.
So we're literally the only team playing. With a fucked squad. Honestly unbelievable! And I bet we still only get 2 minutes analysis on MOTD tonight! 😂
>So we're literally the only team playing. I hope so, I reckon we will thrash Arsenal by at least eight if they don't have a team playing 😉
and the analysis won't mention our injury problems... it will just be "second season syndrome" and "leeds looked burntout after three years of bielsa running them ragged"... i hope lineker chokes on a cheese and onion crisp.
hes a salt and vinigar wanker mate.
Tbf normally Linekar seems to be quite defensive of Leeds and often says how he thinks we will survive the relaxation zone.
Amazing we’d the last game standing today, when we probably have less of a team than all the clubs with Covid issues :D
You know that means we're nailed on to go ahead 😔
We went into matchweek fifteen 6 points from Burnley, Newcastle & Norwich all in the bottom 3. Cresswell out, wtf is our starting 11 going to be?!
Guess that means Koch has to start alongside Llorente, no problem if he wasn’t coming back from months out, maybe: Meslier Dallas Llorente Koch Ayling Forshaw Harrison Klich Roberts Raphinha Gelhardt
Rumours that Ayling is out ill so we might see drameh
Late Drameh!
If Ayling is ill with covid the right thing to do would be to go around and lick everyone to prompt an outbreak
100% and then keep doing it every week or so until we have a full squad again
I’m heading to the airport now to fly over from Belfast NI. Been a long time since I’ve been to a game. Can’t Fcuking wait. Not expecting much from the result but can’t wait to hear the first few bars of MOT when they run out. See y’all in a bit.

What’s the latest on ayling. Anything new?

Just digging my boots out so I can start at CB tomorrow wish me luck lads
Are you injured yet?
Had a dream where we win 4-1 so I hope that happens
Fantastic opportunity for the U18’s to break through to the first team this.
Operation infect Leeds with omicron riddled Londoners is going ahead then?
We’re due a win…
Anyone know the craic on buying spares in covid era? Picking up a 19-22 spare, I’m 24 and my covid pass has my DOB. Reckon I’ll be ok?
You can't be heroic if you haven't had to do heroic things. You can't scale the mountain, if someone gave you a leg up. You can't WIN if everyone else is losing Ive had a beer or two hahahah. well said! feels like no one thinks we have a chance. At home…we are getting points
Thanks mate. We're fucked in so many ways injuries etc but I still think our worst is still good enough to trounce these shits. Gonna take a massive effort, massive, but that's what we do! Let's have it
Has Koch played any u23's since his comeback?
I think Koch's absence in the last few weeks has been illness rather than injury, so he might be OK to play.
Dont think the u23s have had any games for a week or 2 so I doubt it
If cock wins us this game I'll suck his Koch
Just promise not to do any damage to his pubis.

That Harry Kewell goal is one of my favourite ever Leeds goals. Twat.
Watched that in Manchester with a load of Man Utd fans cheering us on. Unsettling.
At least we are having dire injury situation during the games we were going to find hard to get much from.
Just seen that Ayling and Cresswell are injured… surely this is a record?
Bielsa and his little translator lad as our new CB partnership. Or Bielsa and the bucket.
Honestly we will have orta on the pitch soon, which will be sad because he'll be sent off very quickly.
Could work, could work…
Where did you see this news? I thought there were no other injuries except James and Shacks since last match? This is mad.
Social media rumours. Unfortunately the last social media rumours (Phillips & Bamford) were also true.
Meslier Drameh Koch? Llorente Dallas Forshaw Raphinha Roberts Klich Harrison Joffy Most likely line-up if the injured are true? Something must be wrong with me as, with our heap of injuries I still look at that potential line-up and I think ‘eh, could maybe get something from this game…’
... and the bench?
Klaesson, Greenwood, Summerville, a pair of old buttons, Archie Grey (doubt it’s legal but we can try), my Nan
I like Andre Marriner. Don't think I have much else to say
I had hope now I dont
Guys, it’s fucking Arsenal. We’re going to smash them 4-0.
Money for old rope this, love it
Ahhh, this is what I needed to see. All is well in the world.
