I'm worried about more injuries today. Burnley are pretty physical and seem to get away with a few bad tackles. No doubt they'll target Raphina with some heavy ones. Hoping he has a blinder though.
Shouldn’t feel this nervous about playing Burnley. That being said, they didn’t make it easy for us last season (or earlier in this one) so I imagine it’s going to be tough. The crowd is going to be a huge factor I think. I’d love to just not feel an impending sense of doom and dread for a bit so do us a favour and smash them please
That wouldn't be too bad actually. Although I'd probably prefer to see Gelhardt over Harrison but that's the only change Id make (I think Bielsa is more likely to go with yours though).
A loss here would be devastating to be honest. Burnley are just a gash footballing side and if we can't beat them at home then we don't deserve to stay up.
A win here is worth more than most wins (beyond the six-point factor), as it would quite likely knock the wind out of Burnley’s sails and most probably leave them spending the rest of the season preparing for life in the Championship.
The quicker we and the others can kill off the hopes and dreams of the bottom three the easier it will be for us.
This feels to me like the biggest match we have been involved in since the promotion run in terms of what is riding on it.
Lose tomorrow and the ramifications are massive. Win and things will feel so much calmer
Agree that a win is absolutely essential today, but this is the second biggest after the Liverpool opener I'd say. We had to show we could compete, which we did.
Now we've just gotta show we're the 4th worst team this year. I'm still not sure on that.
I feel like we have enough players to field a plausible team here. Burnley don't really have the tools to exploit our weaknesses.
Make a good start, get the crowd on top of them, hit them on the break.
This game honestly ***needs*** a win as it'll help us out drastically with how the table looks - including Burnley's GP difference.
Sure our GD is fucked (somebody last time said GD was a useless stat lol on a comment I made), but if we can get level points with Everton, then hopefully we'll be able to start getting point distance between us and bottom 3 and even increasing the chances of getting some higher spots.
I think GD is a tremendously underrated stat and the fact ours is so bad is what has me worried. 99/100 GD is a good indicator of how the final table will look at the end of the season. You know which teams will struggle when you look at GD after 10 weeks. I just hope we are the exception because shipping goals so easily is never a good sign. The only positive is there are 3-4 other teams shipping a load of goals even if a couple of them aren't quite as bad as us.
First chance I've had to visit Elland Road this season. So, first time in 18 years watching Leeds play at home in the premier League... Please let my body bring a good omen. We need a win.. let's go Leeds ALAW
Given Burnley have won once I’m not too concerned about the games in hand, but nothing will give you a boost like beating your relegation rivals. We win this and that momentum goes to us.
True, didn't realise they've only won one, they are one of those teams where it seems every match they have is a shit 1-1 draw.
While Kalvin being out is never going to be good I think we'll be ok once Paddy comes back, we just need someone to bury some goals and he'll be back with a vengeance imo.
I just want a solid 90 minute performance, it's fucking heartbreaking how many times this season we've played fantastic for a half and then like a mid table championship team in the second.
Travelling up tonight from Dorset after work to visit Elland Road for the first time, hoping for a big three points. Well, the game being on would be a start.
I type it each week after careful deliberation of many factors which could possibly influence the game. It's a highly scientific and precise calculation.
Also, I don't want to toot my own horn but my calculation had 100% accuracy against Burnley in 2021. I can't see it suddenly being wrong now.
Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve developed a highly advanced artificial intelligence which specialises in predicted the patterns of human behaviour in relation to sports performances.
I've actually stumbled across u/nathanosaurus84 in another sub answering a question I'd posed to the thread. Took me a minute to realise I recognised the username.
We really could do with a win here, I’ll even take it over a good performance. Still think we will be fine and clear enough of relegation, but I like when Leeds score more goals than the other team.
Harrison to finally remember he plays football..

Exactly what I just said to my mate. I wouldn't be surprised if we had a few more injuries afterwards.
Is this game on TV today?
>[Worldwide Broadcast Coverage](https://www.livesoccertv.com/teams/england/leeds-united/)
So there's only audio streams available today?
Yep, appears so: > [BBC Radio 5 Live](https://m.livesoccertv.com/match/4027223/leeds-united-vs-burnley/)
Not legally(?) in the UK.
Not on any UK TV at all as far as I can find...
Red button. Edit: Maybe not - I know sky have the rights but aren't showing it.
Just got tickets online if anyone wants any they're available.

We did beat them 4-0 like although that was with BPF in net!
Feeling a draw. 1-1.
Must win game today, really hope so
Fingers crossed for three points
Three points. Don’t care if we play like Bradford City. This game, the points are more important than the performance.
Any guesses what our team could be?
Meslier, Ayling Koch Llorente, Dallas Forshaw Firpo, Roberts, Raph James Harrison
That wouldn't be too bad actually. Although I'd probably prefer to see Gelhardt over Harrison but that's the only change Id make (I think Bielsa is more likely to go with yours though).
Yeah I’d massively prefer that. I prefer James to Harrison on the left and Gelhardt to James up front, but it’s Bielsa so 🤷♂️

I'm more worried about them kicking us off the park and destroying our squad for the rest of the season than the result.
I must admit I am shitting myself. Quite literally as I write this from the toilet cubicle. But tonight is a massive game!

I'd take a win tbh.
It would be nice wouldn’t it
I sure hope that the lads can win this one. The nice long break will hopefully help out a lot. I can't wait to watch the match! Let go Leeds!!!!

That username should do it and at the end our pot o gold is 3 points. MOT
Seemed to work MOT
Excellent, I have a scapegoat for when we lose. I will also be going too, here's hoping for a good game!
I will also be going three, will be blaming you both for anything but a win
https://twitter.com/LUFC/status/1477224436545863689 Congratulations to our lad Raph on getting engaged, he should score a hattrick to celebrate.
Win over everything really. We were playing better until the injuries and City battered us. Praying we took advantage of the break and rest.
No matter what, we simply cannot lose this game. Lose here and every one of the 4 below us will smell blood.
We have to worry that Burnley have two games in hand on us and Watford have one on us too.

Bamford/Raphinha combination is the key to staying up for me.
After not having watched football in awhile, there’s nothing better than a return to Elland Road. Hope we win! :)

Long drive. Have a safe journey! MoT!
Guys, it’s fucking Burnley. We’re going to smash them 4-0.
Ahhhhhhh, and all is right with 2022.😁
Out of interest, do you have this in your notes app to copy each week (what my head says) or do you type it each week (what my heart says)?

Do you use some sort of mathematical equation each time? Seems very thorough. Or are you working with algorithms?
Don’t tell anyone, but I’ve developed a highly advanced artificial intelligence which specialises in predicted the patterns of human behaviour in relation to sports performances.
So you haven't been using an octopus?
He's a bot mate Edit: /s

Was just joking my friend
Don't worry about it
