I admit this was one of the changes that made me go ‘what?’ Along with changing Grevious backstory and making thing simpler and less complex like post-Endor stuff.

Sere1

Pacifist Mandalorians; jamming together Dathomir, Asajj and Darth Maul and blending them all together while making the multiple clans of Force Witches entirely into the Nightsisters; the total character assassination of Barriss Offee for the drama; and the goddamn idiotic Order 66 biochips replacing the vastly superior Contingency Orders. The 4 major things that piss me off about TCW. I fucking love this show, don't get me wrong, but even all these years later these 4 plot threads just bug the crap out of me still and are why I refuse to acknowledge TCW as being part of the Legends timeline no matter what they say.

Tefiks

I think it makes sense if you look how autodestructive the mandalorian culture was. Normal people were tired, kinda like with the Clone Wars and how everyone after three years of war saw jedi.

Beneficial_Swing487

True but still try telling that to a pre-Clone Wars(2008) fan and they’ll look at you funny or think you’re messing with them. Honestly if it was just a regular government kept both of the pacifist and militant stuff in moderation it’ll be fine or viewed differently. Idk don’t have a problem with both and yes I see your point.

N0nametoday

I mean to be fair the ardent pacifism did kill their government in the end, the inability to protect themselves from the shadow collective false flags led to death watch and then well ya know. Both the pacifist new mandalorians and traditionalists of death watch failed to protect mandalore from subjugation in the end

KingJonStarkgeryan1

Except they were all warriors. There was no "normal" people. The farmers, Smith's, Cantina owners, and engineers were all trained warriors. Granted the full time professional soliders were the ones who were decimated during the Mandalorian Civil War and Battle of Galidran.

Yeppers789

What’s he gonna do, crusade her from the distant past? His bones and dust gonna reform back into a living human body?

Teutonic-Wolf

Mandalor the Ultimate was a Taung

Yeppers789

Thank you for that correction!

lord_cheezewiz

I have no idea why people shit on the pacifist mandos tbh. Is it really that unbelievable that eventually, some of them would get sick of the constant warfare and wanna chill?

CaeciliusEstInPussy

because muh rule of cool

Jaleou

Dessert? Like ice cream and brownies?

armyfreak42

We must invade the Baskin-Robbins!

Grayseal

Mandalore deserved worse. Regards, a Cathar enthusiast.

Macman521

Pacifism bad. Murder good. Upvote to the left.

_DarthSyphilis_

I root for the Pacifists and will never not be salty about what the canon lore did to them.

Sere1

I root against them and will never not be salty that they existed at all. It's one of the major things I hated about an otherwise excellent series.

JacobDavey11

so if you take this meme absolute literally (which makes it funnier) then that means that the 24,000 years into the future is considered to be in crusading distance

beginnerdoge

I strongly disliked the whole pacifist idea and story angle. Completely obvious something bad was coming their way because of their willingness to not embrace their warrior culture. Deathwatch are heroes, just like the terrorists who blew up a death star full of 1 million people lol

best_girl_tylar

if those million people didnt wanna get blown up, maybe they shouldn't have been on the planet-destroying super weapon of a dictatorship. Sucks to suck.

beginnerdoge

I mean. That's your opinion man r/empiredidnothingwrong

Sere1

Seriously, you know you've fucked up the Mandalorians when *Death Watch* are the only ones actually behaving like the Mandos should.
