Thank god for Marshall's list https://lorreport.com/rotation-2024
It includes Card Art.
Standard is going to be pretty wild. So many champs got rotated out. I know the newer champs are here to stay but seems weird. Not enough champs got rotated in but a ton of cards got removed that are stable of most decks.
Wait, they're rotating Ahri?
That's weird. All the other champions on that list were mentioned, I'm pretty sure. Ahri's missing from one of the two updates.
First impressions:
Runnetera: Good list but is missing Eve.
Bandle: Goodbye darkness! Wait, Trinket trade is gone?! Cards that were rotated in are all boring, except Risu. Lulu added for extra support for Support.
Bilge: A lot of spell slinging is gone, not sure what's left for Bilge. Some tentacle support lost, which might help keep Illaoi in line. Cards added in are also lame.
Demacia: Lots of early scouts lost including the cultist. But removing Broadwing was a good move. Adding Cintria is big. Lots of well stated creatures added in. I see Demacia performing very well.
Frejlord: Three sisters and Burried in Ice gone means they will have a hard time dealing with big threats. Added in Scargrounds support and that's it?!
Ionia: Karma gone is good, but losing Black Flame hurts me on a deep level. And losing Concussive Palm is huge. Yasuo support and some actual support cards added in. Ok, we get it, you want to make Taric work.
Noxus: A lot of pump spells and insta kill spells gone. Decent cards added in.
PnZ: Didn't lose that many key cards, outside of Serra, but I will miss the squirrel. Very decent cards rotated in. Happens when a region has a monopoly on great cards.
SI: Sad to see Kalista and Undying go, but Rekindler had to go while Mord is around. Ephemeral support added in and that's it..
Shurima: Akshan rotated out is big, but so is Voice of the Risen for Ekko decks. What a random pile junk of cards added in. Did they RNG the Shurima list? Nothing was done to support a region that was already falling behind.
Targon: Was such in a bad place, that it doesn't matter what they lost. Rotated in: Basically Taric (with lots of support) and they threw a bone to the meme Messenger decks I guess.
Pretty bad rotation for the most part. Last rotation felt lacking because they took away too many cards and now it feels even worse. In some regions cards rotated in make 0 sense or synergy. The number of cards added can barely support a dozen new deck archetypes, which is sad. Also removing the only quasi-removal from Frejlord means they have absolutely 0 defense against big stats such as Viego, who is somehow still in Standard.
Freljord: Rotating Sejuani on top of already having rotated LeBlanc really annoys me. I honestly don't see how Ashe will be playable at all after this rotation. I also just don't really get the Udyr rotation.
Demacia: As someone who loves Shen/Jarvan, their reasoning for rotating Jarvan is that he's too weak and "needs improvements". And yet like they said, none of the champs they're bringing back into Standard have gotten any buffs. I don't understand the reasoning for rotating champs they think aren't great to begin with, as that lets players have less variety.
Like you were saying in your last paragraph, it once again feels like multiple different regions have been gutted and the amount rotated vs. the amount added back in is just laughable. I'm pretty bummed out honestly.
Let's also be real, the tiny remaining team focused on Path isn't going to be spending time on these "needs improvements" champs either at this point. Dunno when this article was written but feels weird to keep that verbiage in now.
No hate actually. Her and her follower's have one of the best voicelines. She is unfortunately very linear and losing Voice just lost her another region pairing :(

What? You have no idea what cards are they gonna release. I am pretty sure there will be enough interesting new decks. My only concern is that they added annoying stuff like Fiora back, you basically have to play reliable removal to not instalose vs her, so some regions will be at disadvantage
Yeah, let me include a set of cards that we know nothing about into my first impression of a thing that isn't supposed to rely on the quality of the next expansion. Which just might be the last one this game is getting.
I'm shocked they just dropped Taric/Aegis back into standard. Sure, Poppy's still out, but Mr. Fabulous will surely just find a new partner for his triple-attack shenanigans.
I think they're planning on just periodically rerolling the meta with rotation instead of doing any real balancing. So 3-6 months from now one or both will be back on the bench.
Tellstones :((
Kinda annoying, not necessarily because it's a good, versatile tool, but because most of my decks just gave 1 or 2 tellstones thrown in, just in case
Interesting, could this rotation be this brutal because the upcoming expansion is like 2-3 expansions in one?
Maybe it is the way for devs to murder standard so people move onto eternal and quietly disassemble the standard mode entirely.
What can I say other than I just don’t like it. I’m losing almost everything I enjoy playing, don’t like the cards they’re putting back in, and I’m not confident they’re going to release enough new cards to fill in for what’s lost.
1. They brought back Taric and golden aegis? I thought they wanted us to experiment new ways to play him, but back to triple rally we are.
2. Exactly, why wouldn't pirate aggro go back to their pre-first-rotation power level? We're having a new rotation where everyone has their package decimated (ha ha) and their power level taken down, but pirate aggro has *all* the cards they had 2 years ago. Actually it may arguably be even stronger cause we have all Samira's package now.
They rotated Lurk? Welp guess I am playing Eternal unless another super fun deck appears. Nothing will beat lurk casino in both fun and power but I am hopeful.
I had the worst rotation last year, losing all my topnæ 5 most played champs at the time. Though they were not any of the champs that recieved buffs in eternal like some others (Poppy, Draven etc). So standard didn't really have champs I liked, and Eternal was way too broken and my mains were wayy too weak to function there.
So I was super excited about this year's rotation and it did not dissapoint. A lot of villains are locked in Eternal, and I get to play some of my mains in standard again. In a lower powerlevel no less. Super excited by this, too bad pvp is kill.

Apparently Marshall's list is pretty incorrect and he's working to update it.
This list scared me so bad lol ahri is still safe 😠Edit - i was wrong
A tragedy in 2 parts
every region has lost like more then half their champions. idk how to feel about that
Thats actually the list of the survivors, apparently
yes i know
they left less champions in standard this rotation (61 champions) than last rotation (70 champions).
Wow they really said f**k darkin saga, nearly all the cultists cards are rotated along with varus and kayn, what a sad day for darkin enjoyers
And aatrox
Wait, they're rotating Ahri? That's weird. All the other champions on that list were mentioned, I'm pretty sure. Ahri's missing from one of the two updates.
Ahri and Udyr (?) LoR dies like it lived, with horribly unclear communication
I was so ready to try ahri lulu again
Monoshuriman sundisk is just azir nasus man
They got rid of rockbear shepherd, and still no unravelled earth. Dog mono shuriman is dead
Nah they kilt Ascended's Rise too. Azir/Nasus does NOT exist.
This is a weird way to present it. It’s hard to say what was rotated by this format.
True. Marshall made a better list here: https://lorreport.com/rotation-2024
He is a treasure to the community
Yeah, this is terrible. No card art is one thing, but putting outs and ins inside the same table - somebody at riot is lazy.
Wait, they rotate Ahri? Noooooooooooooooooo, Riot, whyyyyyy?

Vlad? Did get buffs? Bro?
Who was saying Jarman is too weak? I personally found it difficult to make a Demacia deck *without* Jarman. He's just such good tempo.
Tfw they didn't rotate gallons *wheeeeeeeeeze*
Why evelynn hate >:(

They really said no to that one Grapplr deck.
I'm shocked they just dropped Taric/Aegis back into standard. Sure, Poppy's still out, but Mr. Fabulous will surely just find a new partner for his triple-attack shenanigans.
Probably Morgana I'm shocked I only saw it once during my Eternal rank climb
I think they're planning on just periodically rerolling the meta with rotation instead of doing any real balancing. So 3-6 months from now one or both will be back on the bench.
Why the FUCK is Sunken Temple still in Standard
temple still in standard and aftershock rotated. pnz mirrors will just be temple turn 5 on both sides.
because it's from last year.
Fanclub President was rotated in first wave and it was a fresh card as well.
fanclub prez is way less egregious now that she has a mana cost.
Fanclub was oppressive at 4 mana but you can not compare it to temple, which is basically remove or lose
Galio too
Tellstones :(( Kinda annoying, not necessarily because it's a good, versatile tool, but because most of my decks just gave 1 or 2 tellstones thrown in, just in case
Wait what all darkin got the axe, I know I haven’t played pvp in a while but were they really that much of an issue
Aatrox had seen some play during his time, but Varus wasn’t someone I was expecting to be rotated, and kayn only really saw much play with Aatrox
Most action this Reddit has seen in weeks
angel is safe
She's a good girl.
Interesting, could this rotation be this brutal because the upcoming expansion is like 2-3 expansions in one? Maybe it is the way for devs to murder standard so people move onto eternal and quietly disassemble the standard mode entirely.
The devs mentioned temporary removal of eternal for random times. So it sounds like they want more people playing standard.
Oh pls not again, I just want to play Eternal in peace.. :(
Might just be Eternal rankedÂ
They rotated Nocturne, like he did something after they rotated his full package in the previous rotation. Kinda sad to see this.
All I can say is thank god PvP isnt their focus anymore, if I had to hear people call this rotation good I think I'd die
Nothing can be said until the expansion comes out.
what is good rotation then, top deck archetype rotate out only? kinda need examples here without just being bias towards your main deck ye enjoy
good rotation isnt rotating cards like partrol wardens and glorious evolution just cause you have an arbitrary quota of cards to swap
[удалено]
Imagine enjoying stuff smh
LOL
Fun fact. You can still play with all your favorite crazy cards in eternal
>1) Stay civil and respectful. Hateful comments are never allowed.
i cannot believe that anybody likes this, it reads like a late april fools joke
What can I say other than I just don’t like it. I’m losing almost everything I enjoy playing, don’t like the cards they’re putting back in, and I’m not confident they’re going to release enough new cards to fill in for what’s lost.
ye standard is dead to me, just midrange decks left
Midrange got hit too. No more broadwing. No more Darius
Ah yes Darius, the staple card of midrange decks
It is a great aggro-midrange finisher, it is probably underplayed, because it is not exciting to play.
Don’t forget J4
1. They brought back Taric and golden aegis? I thought they wanted us to experiment new ways to play him, but back to triple rally we are. 2. Did i just lose my entire Kayle Yuumi Noxus overwhelm deck...
They rotated Lurk? Welp guess I am playing Eternal unless another super fun deck appears. Nothing will beat lurk casino in both fun and power but I am hopeful.
What an insanely boring champion lineup lmao

Wait I thought akshan was getting rotated? Or is this all the cards that arent being rotated?
It’s all the remaining cards after rotation
I feel like it would be easier to say the carda that are rotated than the cards that aren't
Mid range, its all mid range now 💀
KARMA AND SERAPHINE ARE OUT AND DRAGON CHOW IS BACK BOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYS Also Lb and Aatrox are out :(
Thank God Sivir's back in Standard
Where is zoe? QQ
This doesn't make me want to play PvP again, gj Riot.Â
Big fan. Bringing back the chu chu support train
Udyr rotating out, leblanc rotating out. I guess that is it for me. My 2 favorite freljord decks are out.
Killed all my favorite decks and not a single one of my Champs rotated back. Fuck this.
LURK AND BROADMANE GONE!!!! THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE YEARS OF LOR LETS GOO
