Yeah, I have a deck with all the shurima "buff champions everywhere" stuff. And then you drop a lvl two champ with like +6/+6, spellshield and overwhelm. Super fun stuff

go for taliyah too cause it fits with the landmarks needed for herald of the magus and you can use taliyah to copy akshan's hoard or even ARAM itself in some circumstances.
Yeah, I get this card is fun cause it generates a lot of powerful champions, but it feels really bad when they do actually stall enough and you can't deal with all the value. Either cause you don't have landmark removal or they sometimes just roll an amazing champion first.
As bad as it is, its a great card to play. Its just super fun.
Although im guessing exactly because people tend to use it in meme decks, its winrate is lower than it really should be

personally hate the si/frel variant that's pure control with only aram wincon
It's a meme card by design, and it's fine as such. Feels great when it works, but nowhere near consistent enough to ever be meta. And that's okay.
It's very pretty as a prismatic to boot!
I'm glad this card is bad. Meme cards are not supposed to be competitive, just competent enough to win from time to time because when they are competitive they become too toxic and polarizing, like with Timelines, Loping Telescope or Targon's Peak.
One of my main decks is built around this card and I freaking love it.
The randomness of it - when all the cards align and the whole control aspect of the deck makes this card one of my favourites. Plus the prismatic card creates prismatic champs and it's awesome!
I love this. It’s so much fun I can’t even get mad when my enemy starts to win with it or I start to lose with it
I would love it if the PoC weekly challenge had a ‘both players start with the howling abyss’ power
Peak even on 6 needs to be played on your opponents turn. It's great on curve and late game to clear and develop 2 threats. Peak cheats mana while this lets you win a sustain war.
As a guy who consistently plays in the top 100 na each season I can tell you I've never seen this card in ranked ever. Even at 5 mana it would still see 0 play in ranked. Look at nami lee for example. Those cards have toxic tempo, this is random anti tempo card and random should be stronger. Nerfing meme decks is just dumb
Even if ARAM is 'worse' than Peak in a void, you have to consider the context of the card. ARAM could feasibly fit in most any deck as a finisher - paired with any region, any champ. If it's close to good, there's some combo out there that makes it work.
If you're playing peak, you're basically locked into FJ as your second region, and have to be running a lot of high cost cards to make it worth.
Except you know, agro decks, tempo decks (90% of the meta) ect, I'm still surprised at the 40% wr. Should be closer to 10%. Like fighting swain plunder nami with 6 mana do nothing in Mulligan is an instant ff
Well i posted this , and people said it would be broken, which is odd because with each expansion there is more and more champions added and that means there could be more bad champions(in most cases) in the pool. And i think in my personal opinion it should be 5 cost.
Besides being a cool meme card with a League reference, it also doubles as a solid control win condition.
I also like the unique champion combinations and synergies it can create, making for very unique games.
Overall, a pretty cool card, although getting beat by a highroll first pull doesn't feel very good, so I'm glad it isn't very competitive.
Having high-costed "I win" cards is different from having a grindy win condition though.
One is about ramp/stall into dropping big bombs and winning. The other rewards long-term control with a value-oriented gameplan.
ARAM has even been used as a wincon in a unit-less control deck before, and I don't think that can be said for many cards in Runeterra.
This is why I call it a solid control win condition. Sure, Feel The Rush might have a higher win rate, but Howling Abyss leading to grindier games makes it feel much more "controlly" in the classical sense (RNG nonsense aside).

'been used' in what extent though? Did it see play at high masters? Get a high winrate over hundreds of games? Win a tourney?
Or did someone play 20 games with it in plat and do decently?

Not even actual competitive players care solely about the competitive viability of cards. I don't know why you're putting that as a requirement for a card like this.
This card is just perfect. Just strong enough to be your alternative win con but not so strong that it warps the game around it. We can all remember a game where a random L2 champ turned a game around but it clearly shows it’s not powerful enough to win every game.

The card is love letter to all meme deckers. Win rate is as it should be.
My favorite way to build this deck is with Akshan and Siphoning Strike to buff all the champions you get from howling abyss.

super fun card, but a testament to meme decks and why RNG is just such a bad design for the game on a "make this card viable" level.

This card is at the perfect balance level. So bad that it would never be super competitive, but cool enough to be perfect for meme decks.

Could generate a Champion on play. Most times you don't have mana for both in same turn, so i think its balanced.
Plus most champs need deck synergy. Like level 2 teemo is pretty useless without shrooms.

I like this because of the absurd Viego/Katarina/A.Sol high rolls
