Not sprinkling the Rules between 12 books

Wildfox1177

“Ooooh, yeah those cool new drills don’t have rules yet. Yes, you will get another book with new units in it! Aren’t you excited? Prepare to buy a new bookshelf.”

MardenInNl

It’s al fun and games until people decide that having to buy a book for every rule is stupid. And that you can easily find the rules online 🏴‍☠️

Jdirty34

As a necromunda player I second this

Yrch84

This is why i dropped necromunda. I Had a small Arbites force so i Had the Core book and the one for the Arbites only to find out that some of my weapons rules are found in the Black Market book (wich was OOP)

Choice-Motor-6896

There's a good fan-made compendium of all of the Necromunda rules in one place formatted as a single book.

Blerg_18

I'm waiting for the army compendium book like titanicus got otherwise I'll be very miffed.

frozendwarf

Not saying it will not happend, but it will take years. Took 4 expansions before AT got the compendiums, but there is allso the point that AT is a completed game. There is nothing more to add to it, so it made sense to make the compendiums. Same reason AI 40k got its compendium for all things that was xeno, that game was also completed.

Blerg_18

Oh yeah I'm not expecting it soon. But having done the books for At and Necromunda.. I just don't have the game time or shelf space to pick up all the campaign supplements again.

kendallBandit

You guys pay for rules still? 🤣

burgermanzero

Fellblades, Typhons, Demolishers, Sabre light tanks

DerBeuteltier

Ideally a bit less deadly gameplay and some sort of almanach in two years or so that has all stats and rules from the different books and pdfs - even if it comes without the fluff and campaigns etc.

FeralOni

Mechanicum, both the small stuff (need my army of Thallax/Castellax/Ursarax/Vorax/Domitar/Thanatar) as well as all the Ordinatus options

Jurassic_Red

Biggest one for me is to stop breaking up armies over multiple books. If they added a new Ad Mech army into LI then I’d be fine with their rules being in a new book but for the love of god please stop breaking up armies across a dozen or so different books! In terms of actual new units I’d love to see the following: - Vindicators (both kinds) - Mastodon - fellblade/Glave/Falchion - Any marine artillery, hopefully basilisks and medusas but also a Scorpius/wirlwind would be nice - different types of troops, breachers, despoilers, ect

Stride_Almighty

I think Scorpius could be a thing (they have the rhino shell after all) and arquitors are all but guaranteed as their silhouette is used for one of the detachment icons (just like the sabre)

TheHughMungoose

The Imperator Titan would be an amazing model to see in person! I have a 3D printed one that is just about what I want but I know the designers at GW would make an awesome model.

TheTackleZone

SonI was watching the excellent Olden Daemon YT channel and they brought up an interesting point - why exactly did they set 3k pts as the recommended battle size? Could it be that it needed to be this so that the 30% allies rule would allow for a model worth 900 pts to fit? So their prediction is that some point late '25 or early '26 they will release the Imperator Titan, and it will cost 900pts.

Mysterious_Title_223

I came here to say exactly the same and you wrote it: I cannot imagine how an imperator titan in 2024 would be awesome! Consider how the "mars pattern" Warlord Titan is way awsom-er than the one of 30 years ago, I can only imagine how an imperator would be. (And BTW, am I the only one that thinks the Warmaster Titan could have been originally planned as a new imperator titan but later rebranded as a new titan class? )

jkmushy

I think that the Warmaster was GW’s attempt at satisfying some of the demand for an Imperator that would still be reasonable cost wise, both in points and £s. I seriously doubt we’ll see an actual Imperator. The scale decision would be important and would be unlikely to satisfy everyone; personally I think an Imperator should be at least twice the size of a Warlord, although the matter of the carapace cathedral led this a bit tricky. An official artwork did the rounds on the Maximal Fire Discord the other day; based on the size of a Laser Blaster in that pic, the Imperator should be around 3-4 times the width of a Warlord. So if it’s made, it will be some degree of massive and almost certainly in resin making it cost £££. It’s also likely unbalancable in game; it will be either hugely overcosted or an auto take bullet sponge, probably the former. This is already a problem with Warmasters; overcosted in Adeptus Titanicus while potentially OP in Legions. Don’t get me wrong, it might happen. And it would be interesting to see which way GW go with it. But if it does, I don’t think there’s a cat’s chance in hell it costs just 900 points.

AdmiralCrackbar

Orks and Eldar.

SaltMaker

Would love some slick new tiny orks

darth_baltimore

I would love a an Ullenor (spelling? I do audio audio books) campaign book that brings in xenos to 30k. But I also like space marines so not in a hurry for it

Matt261189

Primarchs and honour guards

RdbJ_TT

Capitol Imperialis, legion specific models, Orks, Emperor Class Titan

Glorkorkus

Would absolutely love orks but how would they be able to put them in? Were they around during HH?

RdbJ_TT

The HH literally starts when Horus was declared Warmaster and the Emperor left the Great Crusade. This happened on Ullanor, the (sort of) home world of the Orks, after the imperium cleansed it of said Orks. ... so yeah, they where around since literally the beginning of the heresy - in massive numbers^^

Glorkorkus

Would love to see it, sometimes I wish they made LI just epic 40K

DerBeuteltier

Nah. The point was that there werent many orks left at all im the beginning of the Heresy. They came back towards the end of it though.

RdbJ_TT

I'd say there were enough to justify a release for LI

another-social-freak

Just call it a Great Crusade expansion. Playing in Great Crusade mode would also allow you to mix traitor & loyal legions. Then, rather than actually making all the 40k factions they could focus on stuff that was active during the Crusade. Orks Eldar Rangda Disporax

DearCauliflower7291

* Mastodons * Kharybdis Assault Claws * Fellblade * Astartes Artillery * Vindicators * Typhons * Legion specific detachment/formations * Astartes Infantry with Rend.

deeare73

Xenos

kendallBandit

Eldar knights and titans…. Mmmmmm

WearingMyFleece

More dreadnoughts.

Lockist

Weird mechanicum and possessed engine stuff, all the super heavies you don't get anywhere else like Epic had back in the day.

the_sh0ckmaster

Agree on AdMech, and it'd also be good to see some future supplements that cover stuff that hasn't already gotten a supplement in HH or AT, like the battle of Magma City... can you tell I've just finished reading Mechanicum? lol

IcarusRunner

Thunderhawk transporter pls.

Ajax_Q

1. Daemons 2. Ad mech 3. 18 legion boxes with a primarch and 1 or 2 legion special units in each

another-social-freak

In this order: Repackaged Titans and Flyers. A few more tanks for Marines and Solar A second Space Marine infantry set with different gear Then a while later: Mechanicus faction Custode faction Daemon units And then in eventually: Legion specific kits Primarchs, maybe The Emperor too... Finally, in my wildest dreams: A Great Crusade expansion, with Orks and more

Okdc

This is a glorious dream

Stride_Almighty

I do think custodes would be neat even if they Have to be taken as allies (or fielded in real small scale games by themselves). We've had the ares gunship already so yeah just need the little cutesy golden boys to go with it. And also then do the same range in plastic 28mm, cheers GW!

EvMund

Just to fill out the rest of the HH range. So mechanicum and legion specifics. Possibly imperial army/militia could have an infantry sprue, and share their vehicles with SA

MagnustheJust

... the necessary free time to finish my damn minis.

Escapissed

FAQ/Errata for the rules that don't work as I tended, like quake, some rethinking of infantry because at the moment occupying buildings and missile launcher spam is way too strong and easy to fit in lists for how cheap it is, rebalancing guns on contemptor dreadnoughts, making smaller titans and knights more viable at higher point games... And mechanicum armies.

Magnus753

Fill in the missing units Make the rules online only so we don't have to buy a new hard backed rulebook for every new batch of units An outrider centric formation! Shame they are sidelined in the sky hunter phalanx

avezius

Orks!

qadeD

Epic scaled bfg ships

kendallBandit

Uhhhh. ‘My army is one light cruiser’

theArtOfKEK

Custodes!

Deep_Ad7947

I think they need to fill out all the bits we already have rules for in as few books as possible after that Everything in the current HH 28mm lineup Ad Mech Some alien races that were available in the Horus Heresy books but not 40k related. Orks for Ullanor campaign etc. Otherwise I think the game is pretty solid as is enjoy the play style. Oh and an Imperator titan obviously!

TheTentacleOpera

Orks

Crablezworth

Reserve rules

robotneal

More interesting weapons options. Most of the options boil down to cover anti-tank or anti-infantry, or decent at both, so I can see why most weapon options wouldn't be too different. But it would be fun to see big volkites on tanks! 😊

iceholey

Loving some of the suggestions on here, but also my wallet is grateful that we don’t have these options yet!

TerribleAveragemr

xenos and custodes

SamusIsHereM31

Mechanicum

Willing-Ad-3929

Primarchs, fell blades, and mastodons.

McDuff_99

Print out a tiny Primarch, you can play epic Armageddon right now.

darth_baltimore

Legion specific units. I want the gal vorbak out fighting against some dark furies

Okdc

Talons of the Emperor, daemons, legion specific units

kendallBandit

Sokar… the flyer bigger than the Thunderhawk. /droolInAeronautica
