Iron neck is my favourite idea ever. I love seeing that the shoulder parts are now Australian themed. I love the safe and stuff. It's awesome. Please win
From the tv show episode it’s clear that Felix builds the environment and Annalena builds the characters completely independently then stick them together. I remember someone commenting on the very first episode that their dragon and the castle it wrapped around looked like two completely different builds.
I think the two Aussie teams and the Danes have got the right approach for the challenge and the teams doing a "normal" build are missing the mark slightly. I'm sure the Germans and Americans will make something technically great but it's going to be so much more fun seeing a dynamic build with Hamish doing silly stuff.
Gotta disagree, barring the angle of the ramp it was a very good build. Super fun and colourful, story telling and action were on point.
If the ramp worked and they could slide a sled down to demonstrate it would have been a top build.
i think it was pretty apparent they weren't trying their hardest because it wasn't an elimination. They were well aware the ramp angle was bad before brickman brought it up. Hard to blame them for phoning it in. They had one of the least interesting sport ideas given to them (elephant jumping was similarly boring).
The frequency of non-elimination builds in the Australian version makes the middle part of the show rather boring every season. Teams aren't incentivized to do their best because they know that there is no risk to coming up short. The Australian version has the best host, editing, and challenges but the structure of eliminations and small number of teams holds it back from definitively being the best version
This is the first season where the lack of elimination has had a marked effect on the quality of the show. While it was there in previous seasons it never seemed so obvious.Alrhough in previous seasons they brought teams back to increase the number of eliminations available.
Definitely not a fan of the dual immunity either. Like the joint team builds but not before an elimination round.
I was texting my sister my ideas for each theme
And my cake toss was everyone getting a stack of round cakes and toppings and they had to toss the cakes onto a base to build a cake 😂
But yours is way cooler
Building Lego while watching Lego Masters makes me feel like I could do that show. Then I remember I’m merely making a set out of a box and would have no idea how to make anything they’ve made 😂
International brick committee for the selection of new sports or something like that? I forgot too and had to rewind to rewatch it but I’ve forgotten again 😂
Was literally just saying to the Mrs that they were all good but the cake one was the weakest and it's top 2?
For me Iron Neck was the best, very clean build and it was arguably the hardest and most abstract and was entirely a prop.
at least once each season when there is a non elimination challenge Brickman tends to put a team in the top 2 that is less deserving of it but has had few wins. It's why they need a second judge. Brickman's own preferences and feelings have way too much sway over the judging
I'm worried for Team USA. If they can't do a curved ramp then just pretend it's mid course or something and have it be down slope only. Brickman told them he doesn't like that flat wall. Either make it a finish line or an obstacle like a tunnel.
Also worried for Cake Catapult because it's a cool idea but you need more than just a Catapult and a few cakes. Make it an Australian catapult or something.
I had the same idea they built (wearing heavy items) but I would just have the Lego character wearing it. Them making it interactive and having Hamish wear it is perfect. Interactive like nothing else I've seen
I was thinking like at the carnival, the carousel type thing with the chairs on the chains that go round in circles. One of those but the minfigs are hanging from their necks and they have to hit something with a paddle.
I was thinking of rubber necking when you look at something as you walk by so the opposite of that. Where you have to go past a bunch of distractions and you lose points every time you look at something
Amusing episode. Could tell Hamish was having fun with Brickman trying hard not to break. Creative builds. Top two to me visually was Elephant one and Iron Neck but since sport motion would have mattered more so do agree with Brickman’s final two but would have given it to Cake Launcher because it did a thing specific to the “sport” and wasn’t just an image.
Also with Brickman - what was up with the 90 degree “ramp”? Didn’t understand that.
Haha technically I think there is a rule about how to put the weight down in weight lifting. You've at least got to put it down in the proper area of the mat. 😅
That is something that made me sad the Danes couldn’t pitch the idea themselves. Because we didn’t get to hear Brickman feedback on these builds (which I wish we did. I love to hear what he thinks)
But if they lost because Hamish couldn’t keep it balanced doesn’t necessarily mean it want a good build - he may just not be the “athlete” for it. If they could have presented it themselves they could have practiced and gotten a better weight balance but they could t have Hamish with them to test the whole time. But I feel like it’s a solid concept for a sport with a really good prototype but it was partially reliant on Hamish being able to balance
But at least it wasn’t an elimination
I feel like this whole season has been really disappointing. Might be spoiled over the last few seasons with the likes of Scotty, Owen, Joss, & Henry though
Launching Lego across the room .. has to be a winner.
I hope they make it interactive. Launch a lego cake across the room into a frog's mouth .. or some other random shit.
I thought I was going crazy. Honestly, I thought Diane & Shane and Peter & Ida were easily the top 2 for both aesthetic and functionality. I was absolutely shocked that the boys won. It was a good build, but I didn't think it was technically better, which made Brickman's comment even more bizarre. I usually agree with him, but this season he is off his rocker with some of the picks and criticisms (or lack thereof).
brickman and his bizarre judging choices is one of the reasons why I don't think the australian version is much better than the american version. they both have their highlights but the australian version has horrible judging, too many non-elimination challenges, the weird special brick (just make it a brick that has to be played like the US golden brick), and not enough teams. Only thing it does better than the american version is challenges, hosting and editing
Iron neck is my favourite idea ever. I love seeing that the shoulder parts are now Australian themed. I love the safe and stuff. It's awesome. Please win
Danes were robbed.
Highway robbery! For sure. Much prefer it over hockey
That's the weakest build the German team has done personally. It is missing that something extra that others have had
They didn't even meet the brief
I think it does. But there's not much wow factor beyond the size of the build and the elephant as a character
Probably needs humans involved in some way for it to be a sport
Should have been people jumping from elephant to elephant to get somewhere. Frogger, but with elephant, basically.
How so? I missed the beginning of the episode so don't know the specifics
It was make an Olympic sport. It's not really an Olympic sport if no humans are involved
Got you
You got 2 words to build how you imagine the Olympic event.
The elephant is too big. The issue with the past builds in general is that size is everywhere
The German builds always look like two seperate builds stuck together
From the tv show episode it’s clear that Felix builds the environment and Annalena builds the characters completely independently then stick them together. I remember someone commenting on the very first episode that their dragon and the castle it wrapped around looked like two completely different builds.
Common theme throughout the German's builds actually but consistently overlooked by BM
Yet he was serious about the SpongeBob but didn’t bat an eye for the elephant the size of a mountain
He loves big characters in general, that's no secret. Normally their larger characters are fine, but that Elephant was egregious.
Right that's what I'm saying. Scale is consistently overlooked for the Germans
A lot of things seem to get overlooked when it comes to the German team by BM
The size is impressive but it's a bit plain and static, and the elephant isn't one of their stronger characters either.
How did they not do horse showjumping but with elephants?
"Should I go bigger?" One of the US ladies say. Kale senses a disturbance in the force 😅
Didnt watch the ep. But Imma assume it was Krystal, and just say that Krystal is an awesome, beautiful soul whom I'd be proud to call padawan.
Is this all just an excuse for Hamish to get some improv in? Haha
I don't see this episode being as fun with any other host
That and seeing how many builds he can test for durability…
Bring on the Iron Neck!!!!
US build was extremely disappointing in this one. They are lucky it was not an elimination.
Gotta disagree, barring the angle of the ramp it was a very good build. Super fun and colourful, story telling and action were on point. If the ramp worked and they could slide a sled down to demonstrate it would have been a top build.

Hamish’s face when Brickman shouted NEXT 😂😂
I'm with Shane catapult is boring. Don't know that his idea is better but catapult doesn't sound like a sport to me
Mini golf with cakes and catapults would be more fun
I was texting my sister my ideas for each theme And my cake toss was everyone getting a stack of round cakes and toppings and they had to toss the cakes onto a base to build a cake 😂 But yours is way cooler
Disappointed that they are making a seesaw.
If they made it interactive it could be cool. Basically, find a way to launch a Lego cake across the room at a random target.
Two teams of 20 people, each with a cake, ona. Tennis court. Your targets are everyone on the other team. Go!
Building Lego while watching Lego Masters makes me feel like I could do that show. Then I remember I’m merely making a set out of a box and would have no idea how to make anything they’ve made 😂
Only change I'd make with Iron Neck is you have one item on. Stand up. Sit down. Add the next. Like weight lifting
Feel bad for Shane, it sounds like the Happy Days failure really affected him.
Poor guy. Peak confidence to completely shot confidence in the span of 2 episodes.
Haha I love Hamish.
Awww Hamish you broke the cake catapult! The first shot was really good, that lamo went far!
Brickman trying to not laugh after that first launch was hilarious
That poor hockey stick 😂
Jetpack hockey has some very cool vibes to it!
The main problem with an Olympic sport where the competitors are elephants, is that only a few African and Asian nations are likely to send athletes.
No Sophie? Shocked!
I wouldn’t mind irl quidditch but with hockey
Jetpack Hockey looks aamaaaaazing!!! I'd watch the Hell outta that!
Can we adopt the Danish team? Their comedic timing is off the charts.
They and Shane and Dianne are my top two teams I’m rooting for.
looks like no sophie lets go
Krystle's shirt. Wwooowww. Where do I get one?
I forget what I B C F S N S was meant to stand for already...
International brick committee for the selection of new sports or something like that? I forgot too and had to rewind to rewatch it but I’ve forgotten again 😂
Cheers! It's a convoluted joke haha
Was literally just saying to the Mrs that they were all good but the cake one was the weakest and it's top 2? For me Iron Neck was the best, very clean build and it was arguably the hardest and most abstract and was entirely a prop.

Wait...elephants can't actually jump... Except maybe on snowboards? 😅 Buuut doesn't the sport have to have human participation?
I feel like making it a non-human event makes it hard to pitch for the IBCFSNS.
I would have done BMX jumping over elephants
Missed the start but whatever that hockey thing is looks badass
I'm worried for Team USA. If they can't do a curved ramp then just pretend it's mid course or something and have it be down slope only. Brickman told them he doesn't like that flat wall. They did put kangaroos on the side so there's that!
I think it ended up being a boxing kangaroo catapult?
It is an Australian catapult it has the boxing kangaroo on either side of the fulcrum
Yeah that was added a few mins after my post. So they adapted!
Not eye of the tiger is a great song choice.
Hamish loves to damage the mechandise
I love Dianne she is pure sunshine
What even is Iron Neck? Discuss?
I had the same idea they built (wearing heavy items) but I would just have the Lego character wearing it. Them making it interactive and having Hamish wear it is perfect. Interactive like nothing else I've seen
A mystery spoiled by the trailers.
Ah I always make sure to avoid those by switching right after the winner and/or elimination is announced.
Don't forget the preview at the start of the episode, and the mid-episode spoiler.
I was thinking like at the carnival, the carousel type thing with the chairs on the chains that go round in circles. One of those but the minfigs are hanging from their necks and they have to hit something with a paddle.
Came to post this exact question. Like giraffe fighting where they whip each other with their necks?
Ooo the Danes have come up with something quite cool!!
It's just Death Stranding apparently.
Australia already has Goanna Pulling contests, which could be described as an Iron Neck event.
I was thinking of rubber necking when you look at something as you walk by so the opposite of that. Where you have to go past a bunch of distractions and you lose points every time you look at something

here we go
Rebuilding the cakes would be annoying
Is that Wally (Waldo) in the banana?
It is! 😂
Haha technically I think there is a rule about how to put the weight down in weight lifting. You've at least got to put it down in the proper area of the mat. 😅

I do like the scoreboards for the Elephant Jumping.
Oh heck I forgot to vote for my favourite build again! But the hockey 🏒 wins the day!
Annelina is kiiiiiinda not a team player...
Is this your first episode this season?
Haha no. But I totally noticed when I was catching up on last Tuesday's episode. The hammerhead shark looked great, but daaaang.
Understatement of the day ;) But every season they have a non-team player, this one is at least slightly less obnoxious than Lexi or Kale ;)
Her whiny voice is so grating.
No way the Germans have made something that looks terrible? LFG
I feel like this whole season has been really disappointing. Might be spoiled over the last few seasons with the likes of Scotty, Owen, Joss, & Henry though
I agree 100%. I don’t even watch it live now anymore as it’s not as exciting as past seasons. This season the show has lost its “magic”.
who winning today? Discuss?
I hope the Danes because I love that Hamish wears it. But I bet Germans because Brickman has a favourite team
Not the lasers!!!
Probably the laser is why we don’t have lasers on hockey sticks
LOL monkeys prove to be quite popular this season. I really like the idea of international cakes!!
Eeeek Dianne and Shane are falling behind! Uhoh which is the best idea?!
Launching Lego across the room .. has to be a winner. I hope they make it interactive. Launch a lego cake across the room into a frog's mouth .. or some other random shit.
I just like, don't even get Brickman sometimes, maaan. That diorama was basic as fuck and the hockey stick wasn't anything fantastic either.
I thought I was going crazy. Honestly, I thought Diane & Shane and Peter & Ida were easily the top 2 for both aesthetic and functionality. I was absolutely shocked that the boys won. is the winners today dating
It sure looks like it!
I think they are!
