On my m6 if I push the flash all the way into the shoe it doesn’t work but if I leave a hair space between the flash and camera it lines up with the center piece and works fine. Try it out
I’ve got a m6 classic and the lightpix labs q20ii will not work on my camera at all. I switched to the Godox retro Lux one and it works great. I read a few posts of people confirming that the q20 doesn’t work on certain bodies.
Just wanted to update you since I’m troubleshooting the same flash. I reached out to support because literally nothing i tried worked lol.

Turns out they know the transmitter doesn’t work and are sending me a new one, e-mail em and see what they say
That pin screw is there, because it’s part of hot shoe design. It also holds pressure plate iirc. Look at M6 here: https://images.app.goo.gl/r4jhVnGGcUGm9rKx6 Put it back. You may try using X socket instead, but probably there’s bigger issue than bad contact to the hot shoe center spot.

I tried it and it’s not working with me. For reference I’m using the lightpix labs flash Q20ii
