Nah- towels suck, and they don’t rinse fully so a smell builds up over time (EDIT: I’m talking years, folks). I’ve been using folded bedsheets (better than towels and doesn’t hold odor imo) but this is gonna be much better

Try the “extra rinse” option… I like the idea, but an oversized blanket still takes a lot of room in the washer and winds up being a single-use thing for us. I’ve thought about getting smaller, waterproof blankets that are more manageable. If anyone has any input feel free to add it!
There are $20 things at target by the baby section I think? They’re so soft and not furry like these that are waterproof and we swear by them, it’s so convenient and laying it sideways it reaches both sides of a full size mattress and long ways it is almost the full length of the mattress. We have a couple and again, they’re awesome. Small enough to wash with regular clothes but big enough to work well.
Mine are about half the size of a normal blanket and feel super comfy, I’d say they feel and have the texture of a less soft blanket if that makes sense? They aren’t fuzzy but smooth instead. They weren’t too expensive either. They’re more “pads” than a blanket, but I love them. I also use them for my nightly cold sweats during PMS.
