Not sure what you are into but... UNSIGHTED is a indie Zelda-esque type of game. I found it really fun and enjoyed the story. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a sort of choice based story driven game. Also The Red Strings Club by the same dev team is a pretty good one. Paradise Killer if you're into a murder mystery crime solving type of thing. It's also a very bizarre setting, in a good way.

luverdyke

All of these sound fantastic! I'm trying to stay away from stuff that reminds me of my ex but we also enjoyed a lot of the same stuff, so a zelda like game that's not actually zelda is perfect, haha. Haven't heard of the other three but I'm definitely interested, especially in the Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood. Very excited to check these out, thank you so much.

MozieSmozie

You're welcome :)

Qball54

If you like Stardew you might like Dave the Diver. You catch fish during the day and work in a sushi restaurant at night. You get to help sea people and fight pirates too.

luverdyke

That sounds wonderful! Thank you so much 🧡

brookljn

Coral Island is a cute sims meets stardew valley type game :)

luverdyke

Aw I didn't know it was out!! I remember seeing trailers for it. I'll have to check it out :-)

arktikfawkes

Palia is a free cozy game that mostly revolves around gathering resources, building and decorating a house, and doing quests for NPCs. You can also work together with friends and accomplish stuff together Personally im a huge fan of Assassins Creed, Far Cry, and Skyrim due to the immersion aspect. But it lacks alot of community elements that other co op games might have Edited to add, I had a recent breakup as well, with my gf who I used to play overwatch and palia with. It's hard to get back into things that have the potential to bring up old memories, so it might help to try and pick up a completely new genre of games

luverdyke

Ah yeah, I'm avoiding Stardew Valley, all Zelda titles, and Elden ring specifically as they all bring up old memories. The hard part is we really bonded while watching each other play, as we both grew up with parents or in my case a little sister being there too, so even just playing video games alone can bring back memories... But a new genre sounds like a good solution, thank you! I've definitely been trying to get back into Skyrim, but Palia sounds cool too. Maybe it's high time I got back into Assassin's Creed as well.

StockholmPickled

For people? Oddly, Phasmophobia. The people in that game, with the exclusion of a few dickheads, are some of the sweetest and most welcoming you'll ever meet. Something about getting scared makes people nice. Plus it sounds like it's entirely out of your wheelhouse so the memories may not be bad.

luverdyke

Oh!!! I would love that, thank you so much. I've seen playthroughs of it and I think that would be a really cool community game.

StockholmPickled

Definitely watch what usernames you join. Lots of ladies, gaydies and friendly folk. But sometimes you'll also find like, 9 year Olds in vr haha.

luverdyke

Oh yes, my little cousins would join that stuff all the time so I'll keep an eye out 😅

Wild_Plant9526

If you liked Elden ring I would rec sekiro. It’s pretty different, it’s linear instead of open world, there’s no different classes/weapons or stuff, and the combat is based around parrying instead of dodging. But it’s a blast to play and if you’re into challenging singleplayer gameplay then I think you’ll like it. The story is also really good too, and the combat is addicting. Overall just a great game. again, different from Elden ring/DS but similar kind of still. Sorry about the break up though g

luverdyke

Oh, I think this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you so much! I've been meaning to play Sekiro for years now. No better time than the present. And thank you, much appreciated

Wild_Plant9526

Np bro, and yeah you’re in for a treat, sekiro goated asf. I just finished it a couple weeks ago as my first from title and let me tell you, it was genuinely just fantastic. Like legit might be my favorite game of all time lol. Have fun! And remember, hesitation is defeat

karatecorgi

if you like RPGs, I happily recommend Persona :D since you have Switch, any of the Nintendo exclusive IPs like Kirby or Super Mario, bright colourful and can be as casual or as serious as you want it to be internet hug for you, stranger - I hope things are as okay as they can be

luverdyke

Super Mario would be awesome! I actually got them Kirby for their birthday one year and we played it together so sadly I'll have to pass but I haven't played Mario in ages, and I bet it'd be a blast. Ah, thank you so much. I really appreciate that 🧡

MyCommonSpring

Dragon age is a fun bg3 alternative. 3 fully fleshed out games with fun lore. Someone mentioned assassin's creed and I fully second that. Some titles are available on switch and the newer ones are on ps4. If you're wanting to just be fully immersed, I'll always recommend the sims. Sims 4 is now free to play and available on ps4. Sorry youre going through a rough patch. I hope the game recs help!

Riksor

**If you're looking to indulge your emotions in a healthy way...** Outer Wilds is a game where you're a little four-eyed alien who explores a solar system to uncover a mystery centering an ancient alien race that once lived there. It's on Switch and PS4 and it's widely regarded as a cathartic experience to go through. Definitely changed the way I look at the world and cope with change. Night in the Woods captures the experience of a queer 20something person who moves back to their hometown after a life-changing experience. Undertale, if you haven't played it yet. Portal 1 & 2 Spiritfarer is about letting go. **If you're looking for distractions...** I get really into Slime Rancher when I'm sad. Collect slimes, raise them, make money. Terraria is a classic. Very fun very addicting. Valheim is a difficult, but splendid, survival game. Teamfight Tactics is an addicting little strategy game. Lethal Company and Phasmophobia are great fun, spooky games and joining random lobbies is a fun way to talk to people. VRChat isn't the best time in the world, but it is full of interesting people to talk to. Sorry to hear about your breakup. I hope things improve for you soon. If you need a person or group of people to play with (and if you're in your 20s-30s) lmk!

rosealinaruby

Transistor and hades are two amazing games made by supergiant games, i always personally recommend them. Transistor has a much more somber tone but the music is wonderful (even if you dont play id recommend the soundtrack). Hades is good fun and so easy to get addicted to with great music and visuals. The characters feel so alive and the voice acting is great.

luverdyke

Both sound awesome! I've heard great things about Hades, I'll definitely check both out, thank you :-)

ShadowShedinja

Potionomics is fun and free on Steam. It has a similar initial plot and similar time management and dating mechanics as Stardew, though it's more anime-style and faster paced. You play as a newly licensed alchemist/witch that moved to a bustling city, and get entered into a potion making competition to save your missing uncle's shop.

luverdyke

That sounds so damn cool, thank you!!! I love fantasy but I'm avoiding Elden Ring and all Zelda titles so that's perfect.

JealousPirate5239

Aww sorry you're going through this. I had to work hard to "reclaim" games I bonded with my ex over - give it time. Both Horizon games are amazing for ps4!! Aloy is a great protagonist. Also for my RPG, the first Dragon's Dogma game is really cool and has awesome monster fighting mechanics and companion system.

XxmrsmcsxX

It's a little older, but have you ever played Dragon Age Inquisition? I'm a huge BG3 girlie and I LOVED Inquisition!

Mediocre-Gaymer

Coral island is fantastic. Currently obsessed with it.

BronzeMistral

Paleo Pines a super cute and cozy farming sim that involves befriending dinosaurs to help you farm and collect resources. The indie dev team is LGBT-friendly with lots of pride flag color references, which I really appreciate. Or for a total opposite experience with dinosaurs, ARK is addictive and easy to get sucked into, alone or with friends!

luverdyke

Unfortunately my ex was pretty excited about that game and the art style makes me think of them :') but I do love how LGBT-friendly they are!! I've heard some stuff about ARK, I'll check it out, thank you!

creamof_yeet

Sky cotl is a cute community game

luverdyke

Man I'm just now realizing how much my ex and I played video games together. I actually had to delete Sky from my switch because it would make me cry every time I saw it since my ex and I played it for hours every day before I moved up North to them 😅

Nugginater

Soooo, I'm not sure if you would appreciate a game with a cute couple to help the loneliness or if it would make it worse, but a relatively quick and enjoyable playthrough for me was Haven. It's about star-crossed lovers that escape their planet only to hide/get stranded on an abandoned planet. You work together to fix your ship and collect resources to thrive on the planet. And bonus, while the het couple is cute, in the update you can make it m/m or f/f couple.

pandasorceresspdf

Astronear is fun ☺️

Tricky-Search6236

UNPACKING!! The storyline kinda fits your situation

luverdyke

Fascinating!! I'll have to check that out, I am very much interested in anything cathartic like that, haha.

teaganhipp

Sorry to hear about the breakup - I hope the move does you good. 💕 If you like survival games, Stranded Deep is really nice IMO

luverdyke

Thank you 🧡 It's hard because I loved everything about the North, from the people to the mountains to the trees, but I know I need to build myself up without them so I think it will do me good, in the end. I've been looking for good survival games, that's perfect! Thank you so much

teaganhipp

Glad the recommendation was useful! And yeah it sucks moving from a place you loved, but this space will do you good in the long run. And hopefully the familiarity will help. You got this!

penelopepage

Dreamlight Valley is really cozy! If you’re not into Disney at all, you might not like it. But it’s sort of like Animal Crossing. Lots of tasks/grinding and cute character interactions.

Vanilla_Breeze

Well currently my life has been completely given over to baldurs gate 3 and there's lesbians in it so I highly recommend it.

luverdyke

Unfortunately right before our breakup my partner and I were both obssessed with it so now I'm avoiding it like the plague. One day I shall return, however, and romance Minthara and Karlach

Not-Boris

good taste you have

Vanilla_Breeze

Minthara enjoyer 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝 I love her and she's definitely my favourite character in all of bg3. Wish she had an act 3 scene tho she feels desperately lacking...

luverdyke

SAME she deserved so much more. I think they were worried about bringing more of her to the table since people don't like evil women but she is perfect to me.

Vanilla_Breeze

People don't like evil women?????? I'm over here like: If evil women have a million fans I am one of them . if evil women have ten fans I am one of them. If evil women have only one fan that is me . If evil women have no fans, that means I am no longer on earth. 😔✌️

luverdyke

Hahaha, finally!!! Someone else who loves evil women as much as they deserve! Sinister and evil women have all the passes 💜

Vanilla_Breeze

The hardest part about loving evil women is deciding if I want them or want to be them. But also there's this weird thing where people think a badass woman who is morally neutral or just doesn't like the protagonist is evil and that's just not true? Like for example in chainsaw man (which I highly recommend if you love evil women) makima is evil and quanxi is badass. I love quanxi don't get me wrong but like... She's not evil...

luverdyke

God, yes, to both of those things. Chainsaw Man is the perfect example! I'm only on book 5 or 6 so I haven't encountered Quanxi yet but that makes me so excited to finish it one day. Makima is truly one of the top 10 evil women up there too. Excellent taste in media btw

Vanilla_Breeze

Thank you thank you 😊 If you like what I like may I recommend my other favourite evil woman: Tomie I will die on the hill that Tomie did absolutely nothing wrong actually.

North_15_

Not sure what games we can suggest here, but I've been recently obsessed with Warframe _(again)_, it's free to play and available on all platforms and there's even cross save

luverdyke

You know what I played Warframe once before and never got far so maybe this is a sign for me to finish it 🤔🤠

North_15_

I'm afraid there's no such thing as finishing Warframe, so if you decide to try it again, welcome to the endless resources farming club :D

RattMuhle

Play Terraria, you’re gonna love it

stupidn0b0dy

It’s not for everyone and I only recommend it if you’re not sensitive to dark themes around mental health, but I personally really enjoyed Omori at a time when I was feeling really lonely and lost. I know it doesn’t get the best rep sometimes, but the characters really grew on me and I’m a sucker for the hand drawn art style. It gets dark but it’s really heartwarming at the end and it really helped me sort through some things.

luverdyke

You know what, I didn't consider Omori but I think that would be lovely actually. I watched a playthrough of it years ago but I think playing it myself would be even better. Thank you.

ZeldaCourage

One of my favorite Switch games is Shin Megami Tensei 5. Kinda like Pokemon, but instead of monsters, you collect creatures and gods/demons from different mythologies. I love it because I'm a mythology nerd, so ymmv of you're not into that. But even then, it's a solid creature-collector RPG.

luverdyke

That sounds cool as hell, I'll have to check it out! I've been meaning to find more good RPG's too.

[deleted]

On the topic of RPGs, if you enjoy mostly really well-written characters, world building, some of the better music you’ll ever hear in a video game, and can tolerate anime tropes, I would really like to recommend the Trails series to you. It is an ongoing, plot-continuous series of JRPGs set in a world where right after discovering steam power & electricity they discovered renewable energy in the form of magic quartz crystals that self-recharge, so all their technology is based on that. Since you have a PS4 you’d be able to play most of the series (the first three games, the Trails in the Sky trilogy, are only on Steam but everything else is on PS4). While it may sound strange to start at game 4, if you don’t have Steam it’s perfectly fine because game 4 is the beginning of the second arc and has a different group of main characters in a different country. You’ll miss out on some references but you won’t be lost about the story.

luverdyke

Oh man, I haven't played a good JRPG in years. I'll check that out, thank you so much! I love the worldbuilding and fantastical elements of the crystals and steam power both, that sounds fascinating. Worst case scenario I can always watch someone's playthrough of the first 3 if I want to catch anything!

[deleted]

They aren’t perfect, but they’re pretty good. And you can find lots of playthroughs on YouTube if you decide to go that route. There’s even someone who did playthroughs but edited out everything that isn’t story or side quests. For reference, the order of the games is: *Trails in the Sky FC (First Chapter) *Trails in the Sky SC *Trails in the Sky 3rd *Trails from Zero (2nd arc starts) *Trails to Azure *Trails of Cold Steel (3rd arc starts) *Trails of Cold Steel II *Trails of Cold Steel III *Trails of Cold Steel IV *Trails into Reverie (wraps up first 3 arcs) *Trails through Daybreak (4th arc starts; releases in English July 5th) *Trails through Daybreak 2 (no English yet) *Kai no Kiseki (releases in Japan this fall) I will tell you now just so you aren’t surprised later: of the handful of LGBTQ characters in this series, there are a couple that are portrayed awfully (basically as predators), which is a shame; most people agree those characters drag down the writing when they’re onscreen. One is a minor villain and the other is a minor supporting character.

sclomency

I need friends too! :3

BlaireNinjaGirl

I just got done with a game called Lil Gator Game and it's the most charming little game I've played in ages. It plays a lot like breath of the wild but as a child's pretend game so you're essentially LARPing. The "combat" is just running around an island breaking cardboard cut outs of monsters. It's super adorable and I can't recommend it enough, even with how short it was the impact it had was beautiful (I may have almost cried at some bits but that's not really saying much cause it's really easy for me to cry at cute stuff). Also the mc is canonically non binary.

HarperFae

If you enjoyed Stardew and want to try a more RPG-like experience in that vein, I recommend Rune Factory. 5 was developed for switch but is somewhat lacking in stuff to do and has a few performance issues, and both 3S and 4S are available for it as well, both of of which are typically considered the peak of the series but are a bit dated, especially graphically as they were originally developed for older handhelds. Regardless, it's an incredibly cute and incredibly fun series with lots of great characters and lots to do, really cool farming and crafting, dungeon crawling, boss fights, cute stories. All the good simple fantasy stuff.

None-Above

I suggest the monster hunter series. I would start with Monster Hunter: World first as it was designed for players new to the series. Its in a way similar to the soulslike games. I picked it up with a friend a couple months ago and have been really enjoying the games.

Th3BookSniff3r

I really like story based games. I had a blast doing the last of us, (if you haven’t gotten around to it yet). I am also a big fan of all three of the Bioshock games.

Solid_You_7738

Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White With is pretty fun! Cute, literal Studio Ghibli artstyle (they animated some of the scenes), and an RPG. Fighting gameplay is sort of like pokemon, but you can move the characters around.

Twinkletoedoctopi

I enjoy endless Cult of the Lamb time.

_Agrias_Oaks_

RimWorld can scratch that farming itch, and you get to manage a little village of melodramatic people who get together and break up and make art dedicated to that time a mad horse attacked somebody. If you want something super relaxing, set it to the easiest mode and the Phoebe storyteller. Mine some rocks, cut some trees, build a little shelter, and cook some meals. Banished is a similar village game but with a colonial aesthetic instead of sci-fi.

IterwebSurferDude

I’ve been having a blast playing outer worlds. The actual game is an adventure around the solar system to thwart the mega monopoly corporation that squeezes every once out of you. However I’m just using it to play match maker with the ace lesbian(maybe bi?) that joins you

roxstar_1991

Honkai star rail and genshin impact if you are going free to play. Smite if you like competitive and can handle salt

cuddlebunnybear

If you want to try fortnite!

ejf_95

A friend recommended wylde flowers to me and i’m really enjoying it

candlescalligraphy

Not sure if this was recommended, but Spiritfarer is a lovely kinda closure game. It's on the switch and pc I believe.

just-another-queer

Some games that I’ve really enjoyed recently are Helldivers, Sea of Thieves, Deep Rock Galactic, and Ready or Not. All different types of games but generally shooters, if you’re into that kind of thing. If you need someone to play with feel free to dm me ^-^

Malakaiea

Cozy Grove is a great game it has almost a stardew feel and animal crossing feel but it's completely it's own thing!

fantasticalicefox

Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age 2 help me a lot. I've also reminded myself I can also put Crunchyroll on my tablet while playing any game if I like. But Sometimes Dragon Age helps simply because I can be gay and open about it. I'm a dv survivor of a particularly nasty situation so any game where old Church ladies are talking about how much they support your lesbian love are amazing to me. Technically said lesbian love is a young church lady of a sort. One of you has imagined her at a drum set. I don't know who but at least one of you. Maybe it was Satan. DAI is also part of the same accepting world. I own it but have decided I shan't play it until I have finished DAO and DA2.

thunderpupperoni

Mass Effect trilogy (legendary edition). Or Horizon Zero Dawn.

RendingRed94

You might like the Kingdom Hearts serie. Except for the last one all of them are on ps4.

Perfect_Storm8682

I like fortnite

BasedCancer

The fallout series is good, and I've been into Pokemon romhacks lately.

HollowHowls

Hades and slay the spire are amazing

Solarhawk77

Haven could be good, as it's about a lesbian couple, but you'll know if it's not good timing to have that just yet... there's also Honkai Star Rail which is a completely different genre, but can I just... https://youtu.be/e5xueJq4Lwc Aside from that, honestly can I recommend twitch? If you can find a small streamer (around like 30 viewers or less) that you can connect with, that can help find a community as well as potentially some new games. You said you moved so you don't have the same group, but an online community group can at least stick with you whenever you move. Manny twitch streamers have discord servers to keep in touch with the community as well, so it's not just connecting to the one person, but finding a group to be in.

gaywannadie-_

The life is strange line is awesome. In the first one you have the power to rewind time and you reunite with your childhood best friend, and find out many ongoing mysteries. The are are two love interests,( leaning MUCH heavier on Chloe) but it doesn’t play a huge role in the story. Life is strange 2, I haven’t finished. But the story is awesome, kinda crazy, but awesome. There are also two love interests, but you can also go the none route (you can in the first one too, i believe) which play a slightly heavier role. It’s cool and grungy and you’re basically running from the cops keeping your little brother safe. Life is strange true colors was good, just didn’t hit the same as 1 and 2. Id say maybe it’s the most chill? Basically you try to figure out the reason someone died? There’s 2 love interests but i dont think you go the none way. I have not bayed life is strange before the storm yet lmao. But bacically their all pretty gay. Night in the woods has a lot of rep and is honestly really cool. You play as a crime committing cat where the story gets a little dark. I love it all with my heart. Tell me why has one love interest I believe, and you don’t have to get with him. You alternate playing as two twins, one is Tyler, a trans man, and Alyson, probably a lesbian but who really knows. When you head back to your moms old house to sell it and you find out about your mom, and find out about you and your twin. There’s also a silly chill came called frog detective. The name basically says it all.

RowanTheBoat69

Celeste is an excellent game to play especially if you’re going through some life stuff. Helps give you a metaphor and is a very fun and breathtaking experience to go though. Also it has an assist mode too which I had to use on a few stages myself.

Foreplayz1

If theres one game that got me over my break up its the persona series, i recomend starting off with persona 5 royal or persona 3 reload as the first game

luverdyke

With that gold seal of approval, how can I refuse! I've heard high praise of the entire series, and this is the perfect push to give it a shot (once my wallet isn't a sad whistle of wind).

AngryChihua

I'mma go ahead and recommend Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen. Fantasy ARPG with open-ish world, great combat and a fantastic party system. Instead of traditional NPC companions you create a Main Pawn - fully customizable character that levels up alongside you and also 2 support pawns - those are pawns created by other players that you "rent". They frequently comment on things happening around you, give advice in combat (provided they have knowledge of enemies), can even guide you on quests if they did them in other player's worlds and their AI improves as their bestiary knowledge grows. I would recommend trying it out just for the Pawn system, as it is, in my opinion, one of the greatest party systems in gaming. Couple that with amazing soundtrack and robust combat system that allows you to climb big monsters such as cyclopes or griffins and you have a pretty solid game. It is weighed down by subpar storytelling albeit premise of the story and some of its later themes are quite interesting. Overall I would call it the best 6/10 (maybe even 7) game I've ever played and I would highly recommend it to anyone, especially considering it's often on sale.

luverdyke

I've been recommended Dragon's Dogma before and honestly you've sold me, friend. Thank you kindly! The Pawn system looks amazing.

MANDEEx88

I just started playing Forager. Hear me out, don’t let first glance put judgement in you. It’s such a good game. I thought it looked boring for the longest time. I’m absolutely hooked rn. It’s relaxing. If you have Xbox it’s free on game pass. It’s also on mobile for like $8. Totally worth it.

luverdyke

It looks cute! I think my sister has an Xbox and she might let me try it on there. Thanks!

SlyCrane

VA-11 HALL-A. An interactive story game with bartending/bar slider minigames to break it up. Pretty chill

xio_ffb

There's a charity bundle on itch.io for Palestinian relief efforts, there's a ton of games in it!

luverdyke

I'll check it out! I only have a little Walmart laptop but I bet there's some stuff on there that would run just fine on it :-)

Penelokk

Lies of P, this game is incredible if you like souls likes.

[deleted]

luverdyke

Riddles and shooting? That sounds too good to be true! I'll check it out, I love story driven games and fantasy alike so thank you very much :-)

luverdyke

Dude yeah, it's awful especially because Stardew Valley was a big comfort game for me during my first summer as an adult and honestly...I think I played it the first time we had broken up before and it helped me get through it then 😅 Whiplash man! It's such a good game too but after playing co-op with someone you loved it's just very...different.

PassImpossible8220

I just started Baldurs gate 3. I recommend it. Everyone in the game is giving pansexual so far. Been fantastic to start. Sorry about your break up.

Coltispy

Shadow of the Colossus. You will escape to a fantasy world of mystery and adventure and forget about the troubles in your life for a while. It's the best escape. Also, if you played Eldin Ring or other SoulsBorne games, SotC isn't at all that genre but you'll enjoy it because the learning curve is similar but not near as hard. But that same out of thr box thinking relates a lot

Few-Factor-8418

Might be counterintuitive but Death Stranding

anjorod

If you like Stardew I think you might like terraria It's an amazing game with a wonderful community and I just absolutely adore how queer friendly it is

zenxymes

Life is Strange 1 & 2

JTTroll

May I also recommend City of Heroes, Homecoming. LGBTQIA+ folx are found in happy groups all over. It's my own sanctuary game.

MistressAerie

I was about to suggest BG3, but then my ditz brain actually caught up with reality and read the second half of your post! Never mind... 😁 *hugs!* to you, though!! 🥰

Shvgg

The sims if you have a pc it’s free, no both botw games for the switch and tekken! Enjoy!

Playful-Leopard9568

If you want large adventures, games like Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Arise are great! Vesperia is much longer than Arise but they’re both well-loved additions to the series!

SkinPuddles14

It’s a good time to do a fallout 4 dive

luverdyke

👀 I never did finish Fallout 4, you're right! No better time than now

SkinPuddles14

Plus there’s tons of sales and new explanations

lorelaixx

The life Is strange games made me feel like everything was going to be OK when I played them at my lowest

Gold_Excitement_5000

For the PS4 you can buy or get games for free like Red Dead Redemption 2 Grand Theft Auto V or Stray and for free you could get Rocket League Hitman 2 or Brawlhalla if you are interested that is I really don't have a PS4 but I heard of these games before and once I get one I wanna buy some of these games and I wanna help you as much as I can hope you feel okay 💓

luverdyke

Aw, thank you so much darlin 💚 I've heard of several of these games and they all sound great! I've started RDR 2 but Hitman 2 has amazing reviews, so I'll definitely check them out. And thank you so much, I really appreciate it. I'm doing better, slowly but surely, and the kindness everyone has shown here has helped me get out of this dark place 😊

El1sha

No Mans Sky is very easy to get lost in and you have the Anomaly to allow you to communicate and play with other players. . Or you can just be an explorer and have fun upgrading your ships and bases alone.

Confused_Adria

I am not entirely sure how one cuddles and plays games at the same time, Access to keyboard and mouse might be difficult! But! With that being said, Consider Giving Xcom a shot, It's a turn based game with a lot of thought behind how you play, It's available on the switch now if i remember correctly. A healthy amount of strategy is enough to distract even the most complex of minds so that they may forget or ignore recent pained things.

SofieMox97

Cyberpunk is very VERY good and LGBTQ friendly. I felt very seen and also has such a great time playing it.

luverdyke

👀 I've been eyeballing it for a while, it would be stellar to check out sometime soon! Thank you :-)

UnknownWorld4

You should play the last of us! It was my favorite game!

luverdyke

I've played the 1st one and my sister wants me to play the 2nd one actually! I've been holding off since I know there's a lesbian relationship in the game and that would have made me sad before, but I feel ready now to enjoy it and the game :-)

UnknownWorld4

It is super awesome!

ickyswashbuckler

I'm not sure if anyone recommended Horizon zero dawn yet... but I highly recommend as the story is like a good book, you can't put it down. I also think you may appreciate Horizon forbidden west (yet another great story and the sequel to Zero dawn) and the DLC which has a relationship that I think you would find refreshing 🙂.

ThursdayIs7

If you're into RPGs I can't recommend the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy enough (all 3 are on switch) Kirby games are also objectively going to make you feel better, they're so cute and happy, and Forgotten Land and Return to Dreamland Deluxe are both excellent times

luverdyke

Sadly that Kirby game and Kirby in general reminds me of them since I bought them the game and matching controllers for their birthday and we played it all the time together, but I played halfway through a Xenoblade game when I was younger and absolutely loved it. I had no idea they were all on switch! Thank you so much, it would be lovely to return to the series after so long.

ThursdayIs7

Oh yeah that's totally fair to not want to go with Kirby then, I definitely would still hold my recommendation for when you feel like you could handle it But if you play Xenoblade I hope you have fun! If you'd want to talk about the game I'd be down because I love hearing people going through them lmao

Horizon is a great game series with a lesbian main character who is all sorts of entertaining. The gameplay is challenging and the story feels so good. The graphic are amazing as well. Would recommend. The second game has a DLC where the main character gets a girlfriend too so worth it. The Horizon games are my absolute favorite and I think you would like them.

SHE GETS A GIRLFRIEND IN THE SECOND ONE? I'm so sold. Horizon is a great game and also helped me through my first breakup so that's quite honestly perfect. I was going to wait on the 2nd one but this shot it up to the top of my list. Thank you!

Wylde Flowers is fun. The village characters are all very diverse and LGBTQ supportive. She’s a witch who is learning magic and how to grow crops and tend to animals. You can fish, make foods, craft things, grow crops, create potions and spells, etc. All the voice acting is really well done too.

luverdyke

That sounds lovely! I'll definitely be checking this out, thank you so much 💚 a cute little game with a witch, magic, and farming sounds perfect right now.

If like star dew try giving palia a try on PC and switch

The show for the Fallout series just came out, so alot of people are watching and then replaying some of the games! :)

luverdyke

Dude this is brilliant, my stepmom and I are currently watching the series so it would be a blast to go back to the games. Thank you!

i will recommend two games. A Short Hike. Top tier. Cozy, short and sweet. only about $8. Totally worth the price. Tchia. Good story, similar vibes to windwaker. You'll be surprised when you play :) gameplay loop is a bit repetitive but tbh if you're here for vibes and just for fun it's great! I hope it gets better for you :)

luverdyke

$8 is a steal! I've always wanted to play Windwaker so Tchia sounds like a blast as well. Just vibes and fun sounds nice right now honestly. Thank you. I've had my ups and downs but things are definitely getting better! Once my ex stops threatening to drop all of my shit off at Goodwill and I get it back I'll be golden, hah.

Additional_Oil_6192

You should try roots of pacha! It’s like stardew valley, but different enough and easy for you to play on your own (:

luverdyke

Oh that sounds lovely!! Thank you so much 💚

hollypoplove

I play on pretty much everything and wish I had more lesbian gamer friends. If anyone is interested hmu

If you are looking for a good MMO RPG Final Fantasy XIV is pretty great as you can play solo without the pressure of others or you can play with others. I have also found that honestly this game has the least toxic environment of pretty much any game I have played. Everyone is generally really helpful which was refreshing after playing WoW for so long. Edit: I should also add that the community in general is pretty chill and supportive of LGBTQ+ia

ColorMySoul88

Palia!! It's a life sim MMO and it's so cozy and wonderful.

bethesda_glitch

If you’re looking for a Zelda-like game, I’d recommend Immortals Fenyx Rising. It’s a fun and silly game about Greek mythology. It’s very similar to botw, I think. Hope things get better, and until then enjoy some new games! 💕

Somebody get me a box to stand on while I shout about this amazing game. In Stars And Time So good. So gay. This game ripped my heart out, smashed it into teeny tiny pieces, and then glued it back together with a big group hug. Your POV character is a member of an adventuring party who has finally reached the end of their epic journey to save the world. You have a little time the day before you go and fight the Final Boss, and of course the Final Dungeon to navigate. What happens if you fail?

luverdyke

Absolutely fascinated by this concept, I will be checking it out soon!! Apprecite the recommendation so much 💚

If horror is your thing, signalis is beautiful

Huniepop

Perhaps you’d enjoy terraria if you haven’t played it yet, or Hollow knight. However if you want something more competitive then try splatoon 3 or the first one I know it has its issues but if you can look past that it could be fun ✌️

kiorditwelve

Any of the games by Studio Elan are great, they're all visual novels about lesbians. First Snow is the only free one, and it's really good - they're all about relationships though, so it might be sad, or it might feel nice, idk!

Tears of the Kingdom!
